The two main characters are a candy shop owner and a thieving child. The title cleverly comes into play. The young thief is thwarted when a marshmallow rabbit she swipes puts her into a sticky situation. When confronted, the little thief has an attitude that reminds me of Brer Rabbit. Clever thinking gets her out of the sticky situation, but the consequences of her actions will probably sadden her.

Stop that Lion is part of the Kingdom of Mir Series and we absolutely loved reading it. I love that this author include life lessons in each of her stories. This one is about problem solving and taking chances, friendship along with being brave and realizing you don’t have to do it alone. The illustrations are colorful and bring the story to life. highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

And the children shall lead them. This was such a fun story to read. Winnie wants to keep her sheep safe and also help the king come up with a solution. As the lion from the kingdom of Sher keeps eating the sheep from the Kingdom of Mir. As the King asks for help, many came forward but did not work. Reading the story will tell you what happens next. This author has such a great imagination. I really enjoy reading her stories. My grandchildren look forward to reading her books as well. The is always something to learn, discover, and talk about in her stories. We are looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Kris & The Missing Prince is part of The Adventures of Kris Series and this is a wonderful, imaginative story filled with magic, adventure, gnomes, fairies, animals and friendship. This chapter book is for ages 6-10 years of age, but I believe you can be young at heart as well to enjoy the story. I know I really loved this book and I continue to look forward to more adventures of Kris.
When Kris goes to her Grandma’s house while her father is out of town, Kris finds an adventure right in the backyard! All Kris wants to be is a Knight….and not a princess. I love a book that when I start it my first thought is “oh this is gonna be good!”. I sometimes have a hard time getting fully invested into a fantasy type storyline. But let me tell you just how quickly I fell into this book’s storyline world! I’m a reader through and through I read tons of books and this one is in my top five hands down for this year. Callum and Aeris will probably be one of my favorite sets of main characters forever. Each one brought such fun vibes to the already great storyline. Aeris immediately captured my attention right from the first chapter. I simply loved my time with these characters and this book world. It’s well paced and I truly can’t wait for more! Five of the biggest stars and I recommend you go get this story as soon as possible!

This was a good 5 star read. Abigail had a not so easy life growing up. She has created a secret identity that has her touring worldwide as a famous singer. When her tour is done she focuses on finishing her teaching degree as her alter ego. Everett works at the school also and lets just say there is no love loss between these two. But are there some sparks under that fire between them? I have to say I really enjoyed this couple’s story. We get twists and turns that added a great element to the story. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The author did a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.

I liked the first Kris book I read better (I was engaged more), but this is still a solid 4 star read. The author continues to do a wonderful job of creating a strong and likable protagonist in Kris, who is both brave and determined.
he themes of friendship, imagination, and perseverance are woven throughout the story, making it both entertaining and meaningful.The writing is clear and engaging, making it easy for young readers to follow along and become immersed in Kris’s world. The illustrations are also charming and add an extra layer of visual appeal to the story.

Lexie’s vacation didn’t start as expected, but it ended just as it needed to. Jake happened to be in the right place at the right time not knowing just how much his life would change. The story focuses on Jake and Lexie, but every reader knows Biscuit and Katie are the real stars of the story.

This was a great mystery and kept me interested until the end! Once Colin’s boss is found murdered he becomes the prime suspect. Between the assistant coroner and his sister they do not feel he actually committed the crime. There are unlimited suspects since his boss was not liked by many, which just makes it harder to find the true suspect. It is up to the trio to find out who really killed his boss to clear Colin’s name. This mystery was full of twists and will keep you reading late into the night! Such a great series!

He shares grave news with her about the missing Prince and mayor of his kingdom. Good thing Kris is a knight and can use her knight training to save these missing people and find her way home.
This book made for a great read with my children before bed. Friendship, imagination, and characters that are relatable can all be found in this adventure. It even reminded my daughter that just because she isn’t a boy doesn’t mean she cannot be a ninja turtle!

Finding Cheer by Heather Schneider is the second book in the Magical Emerald Hollow Series. This book focuses on Sofia, a side character in Chasing Cheer. Sofia meets a man named Isaiah who has lost his memories. Sofia is wary because she has been hurt before, and they do not start easily. Of course, this is a romance so we get to see them warm up to each other. I enjoyed their chemistry and fun dialogue. The story keeps you engaged with Isaiah’s mystery and a few twists that maybe you didn’t expect. The setting is as lovely as the first book and the narrative is emotional and authentic. This was a fun and endearing return to Emerald Hollow.
Another fun and exciting adventure with Kris. I sure wish I had an imagination that vivid and exciting. This is a fun adventure where Kris doesn’t just settle for being a little princess. She’s the knight that rescues the prince. I have to say I snorted when she took the neighbor boy out at the knees. She’s got spunk. This is a fun story set for the young ones but those of mature can enjoy it too. Brings back memories. I’m going to look forward to going on more adventures with Kris. I have lots of grandkids to share this with. We can use our imagination together.

What a wonderful mystery. This is a new author to me. I found the story engaging. Once I picked it up and started, there was no putting it down. You felt like you were part of the team solving it. I enjoyed the little subplots. They wrapped up nicely back into the primary story. I’m a huge fan of any type of medical mystery. This one had a bit of everything. The characters will have you finding a new book boyfriend to chose from or all of them. Roped (Fools Gold) is the story of Sarah and Rafe. Sarah left after finding a note changing everything she thought and wanted but was it true or was it lies? Rafe is in dire need and Sarah returns to help but even in dire need it comes with stipulations. There is lots of chemistry, wants, needs, hopes, misunderstandings and antics that made me laugh.
Rescued (Her Heart’s Desires) is the story of Sam and Jake. Sam does a runner on her wedding day and runs into the arms of another man. Jake is on stake out when a woman runs into his arms. Now he has to keep her safe from a man who is dirtier than anyone knows. This sexy enemies to lovers tale is full of spice and a little suspense.
Risked (Serena’s Web) is Serena and Mark’s story. Serena is caught up in a dangerous web of mobsters when she decides to save her father. This puts her in the cross hairs of the FBI. Can he keep her safe even from himself? This forced proximity tale sizzles with a lot of suspense.
Romanced (It Had To Be You) is Candy and Greg’s story. Candy grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, but she is back in a town she left in her wake. Unfortunately for her she has to business with someone she would rather not have to give the time of day. She loves to hate, and he just wants to love the one that got away. This old enemies to lovers tale is steamy and makes you want to believe in love. I know you will love it.
What an amazing set. I really enjoyed this author’s writing. I’m going to have to say Roped is my favorite. Their chemistry was great. The back and forth. Realizing they were meant to be together and having each other’s back was awesome. Each book has a story that is relatable and makes you feel that you are right there with them. I felt every emotion. This is a fanftastic set that you should read.
Kris & The Missing Prince is the first book in The Adventures of Kris series by Art Blegen. It is a colourful and imaginative chapter book adventure story. It is aimed at children aged from six to ten years old. Just like Kris readers will be swept into the story as she finds herself in a magical world of creatures of all shapes and sizes right in Grandma’s back yard. Kris has a wild and vivid imagination, and she is not one to sit back, she is one for getting into the thick of things as she is faced with trying to thwart an evil gnome and rescue the prince. This delightful imaginative children’s story is full of fun, with illustrations. Art’s narrative leads to vividly imagined scenes that makes for a very engaging story. There are also things to learn along the way. You don’t have to be a child to love the adventure. I look forward to more of Kris’s adventures.

This box set is a brilliant trilogy of stories. They are a great example of historical romance books and I really enjoyed each and every one of them. The characters were all easy to engage with and I loved learning about them all. Even though I read the books back to back, they were all so different from each other that it was easy to keep them separate. The books are well written and relatable, despite the fact they are historical fiction. The author has found a way to draw you in as a reader and keep your attention across all of the books. I found myself enjoy each for a different reason. I would definitely recommend this series, it is truly worth the read.

Touched is the first book in the Elemental Passions series and I could not believe the amount of effort that went into this book. TEN different amazing authors came together for this masterpiece, creating an amazingly unique world as one. You can’t even tell which author wrote which segment, considering how seamlessly they wound it all together. Touched is an incredibly written fantasy romance adventure with some extra spice. I adored Aeris from page one, and ate up every single page that followed. I do highly recommend this book, and CANNOT wait to snag book two!

I started The Ruarnon Trilogy from book one and admittedly I did take a long break from it . It was amazing how easy it was to slip right back into the author’s world and how it felt like no time has passed since I finished the second book, Secrets of The Sorcery War. The plot is fast paced and engaging without feeling rushed and the setting is so easily visualized. What really stands out in this series is Carlson‘s writing skills and the growth the characters go through, especially Linh and Ruarnon. It is truly unique and very enjoyable to read. I highly recommend this amazing fantasy series. You will not be disappointed.

Marnie works at a clinic for veterans with PTSD. She is running a trial to help with PTSD. Her first day she discovers a suicide victim or was it suicide…. The book follows Marnie and her friends and coworkers who all have experience with veterans who have become drug users and/or have PTSD. Police believe the suicide case is as it appears and close the case. The victims wife questions this and backs up her thoughts to the point Marnie starts questioning the suicide as well.
It’s a well written mystery that keeps you guessing. The characters have all experienced tramas and work with trama victims so seeing how each deals with their trama is interesting. It goes back and forth between the characters so the reader can see what is happening when the main character Marnie isn’t around and so they can get the perspective of someone else about situations.

Breaking Apart (A Finnerty and Liccione Mystery) was SUCH a great book! Multiple POVs, intrigue, mystery, suspense, light thriller… I loved all of it. It is a little slow up front, but not in a tedious way. The rest of the book moves pretty smooth and quickly. As a retired medic, I really love the medical side of the book was completely accurate (such a pet peeve of mine), but it was also written and explained so easily that it would not be hard for anyone without a medical background to be able to understand. Awesome read, really enjoyed it!

Stop that Lion is such a cute book! I know that anything by lois Wickstrom my kids are going to love and I’m going to enjoy reading it to them, but this one really was adorable. Very unique; it tells the story of two kingdoms who have a lion problem, as in a lion that eats the sheep of the neighboring kingdom! The problem is then solved by a young girl. Very simple and fun for kids, definitely recommend.

This is an intriguing conclusion to this adventure of Ruarnon. It’s a story of courage, learning and strength. Along with his friends, they went on an journey that was very risky. I found the characters to be interesting and they brought the story together well. The story itself was well written. It’s a good trilogy. If you like fantasy, this is a trilogy you may enjoy.

On her way to the cabin things go wrong which has her ending up in a ditch in the road, trying to get to her trusted company Biscuit she then falls an injures her ankle, while trying to come around a gruff cowboy helps her and eventually she lets him take her to his house at the end of lane so his sister can check her over. Alexa is at a loss when she starts having feelings for the widow but factor in his four year old daughter so is a gonna.
Jake is still grieving the loss of his wife four years ago, he is only existing but that is no life for his daughter to be raised, quiet and lost in her own world his family worry about the little girl. When driving home with Katie in the car he stumbles across an accident and decides to help the stranded woman but quickly realising it’s his friend sister, Alexa. Although he needs to help her feelings start awakening that he has not felt in ages or even with his late wife which is scaring hi,.
As her recovery continues he starts to see a difference in his daughter Katie and within his self, hoping that something can happen with Lexie and will be able to mend a broken heart and live a life of love again.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it was a beautiful read. The story was lovely and uplifting with the interactions between the main characters brilliant and will put together. I also loved the interaction between Lexie and Katie and watching the little girl open up and blossom was a lovely thing to read.
The secondary characters added to the story and the twist in the end was a lovely thing to put the icing on the cake and wrap the story up nicely. Showing the vulnerable side to Jake was interesting I always love a softie at heart. I do hope some of the characters get a book, it would be especially nice to see Sean get his happy ever after.
I can’t wait to read more in the future.

The illustrations of this book were whimsical and colorful. The story teaches how sometimes the best advice can come from the least expected place. It also teaches how sometimes, taking chances can be worth it in the long run. It shows how bravery and friendship is often better than fighting or causing problems. Art Blegen is an author of children’s books for young readers. His series “The Adventures of Kris” features a feisty young girl based on a young baseball player he once coached.
Art is an advocate for educating children and their parents to ensure they have a healthy balance of positive examples in their lives. Wholesome stories and a healthy imagination can lay the foundation they will use for the rest of their lives.
Before returning to school to receive his Master’s of Divinity in 2018, he spent ten years coaching youth sports. This gave him a deep insight into the ways children’s minds work and how to tap into their vivid imaginations.
Art is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church. One of his favorite moments each week is when he has the opportunity to sit down with the children in the church for story time.
Each child is important, and each family matters to Art. Art is active in his spare time, playing with his grandchildren, and serving the community by encouraging places and activities where children can thrive.
