Her sister and best friend, Blair, was found dead in the San Francisco Bay. Needing to be close to her sister Brynn moves into Blair’s former condo. While cleaning her sister’s stuff, Brynn gains access to Blair’s laptop and discovers a shocking dark secret. Blair had a darker side; she was a submissive who found pleasure in pain. Brynn quickly learns the lifestyle, not only through her sister’s journals but through Olympus, Lotus’ online server. Brynn quickly connects with a Dom, Erebus69. Little do either of them know that they both share one common connection. Blair! The author never disappoints! I love everything that has been written so far! I can’t wait to read what comes next!

Wheel of Evil (Hani's Daughter Mysteries Book 3)Wheel of Evil by N.L. Holmes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Neferet is one of the main characters of the story. She works in a very male-driven industry. Still, the author has Neferet written to be a very strong-willed independent character that as a reader you couldn’t picture her doing anything else. Except for maybe becoming a detective lol. When a business associate of her uncle comes up dead it piques Neferet interest. The only issue is whether Neferet or any of her loved ones could become the next victim. I loved the flow of the story and the storyline. I absolutely recommend that you read the prior books in this series to get the full story. I can’t wait to go back to read the first two books in the series.

The Winemakers - Box set: A Series of Sun-Kissed Historical RomancesThe Winemakers – Box set: A Series of Sun-Kissed Historical Romances by Giovanna Siniscalchi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This box set is a historical romance set in Portugal´s Douro Valley in the 1800´s. Each story showcases a different relationship intertwining the Portuguese royalty. There are three books in this box set. I love historical romance, so finding a new author with such a fascinating talent for writing this genre brings fresh air. I loved each of these books, I could not pick one as my favorite!!

The True Purpose of Vines
Widowed winemaker Julia Costa is set to lose her entire livelihood to one egotistical Englishman named Griffin Maxwell. Julia takes on teaching Griffin about Portugal´s food, history, and culture. Throughout the book the pair faces trials and the headache of the plague threatens to destroy the wine vines. Yet, their disdain turns into passionate forbidden love.

The Taste of Light
In this second book, we focus on a character named Padro. We meet him in the first book. He was in love with Julia but we already learned she chose Griffin. It is nice to read more about Padro and see how he starts to form a new relationship with Anne. when the two start to get to know each other Padro does not know who Anne is. But finding out that Anne is the little sister to the man who stole the love of his life makes their courtship that much sweeter in his eyes.

The Truth about Myths
In the third book, we meet Princess Isabel de Orleans, of Portugal. Isabel is about to embark on a trip to Spain to spend time with her cousin and help out their country as she must do so. Although Isabel demonstrates nationalism she is eager to embark on the trip to Spain. That is until she learns that her brother´s (the King) friend Henrique to accompany the princess. The two are complete opposites. Isabel is proper and prig, whereas Henrique is playful, witty, and overly charming. How will they both ever make it to Spain in one piece? Perhaps by growing feelings for each other but will it work?

The period of the War of 1812 is not my typical go-to genre but I gave it a try and I’m glad I did. The attention to detail and the storyline build are just a few of the traits I love about this author. The building of the relationship between Jed and Hanna is truly wonderful and pure. Jed is the heir to a plantation and a family with years of secrets; buying slaves to build back up the Willow’s Estate. How will Phoenix make football, college, and Aspen all fit together? Can he make it work? Aspen is a spitfire with her walls up, and after watching her parent’s unhappy and unhealthy relationship over the years, she could never fall in love. Phoenix wants the NFL but he refuses to repeat the mistakes his dad inflicted on his family. This is a super hot “relationship,” and keeps the reader needing to read more! Also, OMG once again a cliffhanger! Make sure you get your hands on EVERY book in this series!!

Russian and Royally Complicated (The Crowned Hearts Series Book 2) by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson – Review by Ashley Lape

Russian and Royally ComplicatedRussian and Royally Complicated by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What is worse that could happen when you run away from your problems at home to a foreign country and have hate sex? Having hate sex with your best friend’s new husband’s best friend. Daphne never had intentions of staying in Lovolia longer than the wedding but when things change with Lev Daphne has no choice. The chemistry between the two is off the chart but they are worse than gasoline to a fire!!
This book is great. Many different twists and turns that you never can predict what will happen next! Can’t wait to see what this author comes out with next.
