Flowers in December AUDIO BOOK by Jane Suen – Review by Carly Vogler

Flowers in December by Jane Suen is a short listen audiobook. We follow Connor Norton as he visits his hometown to deal with his mothers passing. Full of regret, Connor reflects on the last 20 years in which he has barely visited. Realizing he isn’t getting any younger, can Connor overcome his shortcomings and move on to make more of what he has left?

This was a great quick listen. I would have liked to have seen more development in the story line, and perhaps more of a look into Connor’s life later on.

What a love story!

What a love story. Stone and Adeline were destined to be together. The story is set in gorgeous Verona Italy and you just want to fall in love from the start. From their first accidental meeting as she fell into his arms to the ending it keeps you on your toes. If only every love story could be like this. Lovers of the past broken apart only to be reunited again in another life. So intriguing and captivating.

I really enjoyed this story. It was fast paced, quick witted and the characters were well written and likable. 19 year old Adeline is due to start a new dream job in sunny Italy after graduating when an encounter with a psychic at her sorority graduation party tells her to remember to follow her heart. Determined to only focus on her career and her hard earned success, a spanner is thrown in the works when her hot, sexy boss Stone asks her to be his fake fiance. I got lost in this story and found it entertaining with great scene setting from the author. I also found the narration to this story added more depth and really helped bring the story to life.

Flowers in December (Audio Book) by Jane Suen
4 Stars!!!!

If you are looking to add to your reading experience I really recommend audio books. I have read this book and this is my second read/listen. I find that it really adds to the whole experience and enjoyment of the book. Having read then listened to it for the first time I really like how the narrator adds the emotions and voices. I found more things grabbed my attention when listening than when just reading it.

I really found that this second read well first listen really added to my enjoyment of the book and added to the whole process. The author really made a good choice of narrator. Definitely will read more from this author and hope to have more audio books from her.

READY FOR FLYNN, PART 1 (READY FOR FLYNN SERIES) AUDIO BOOK by K.L. SHANDWICK – Review by Piper Foster

This is my first audio and book by this author. Valeried I wasn’t quite prepared for what happen in this story , yet this story WILL affect you.

Chemistry between Valerie and Fylnn is really well written. This couple goes through so many hardships. Age differences and life pulls them both in different directions. Tears flowed, heartbeats hammered and laughs came easily. The reader was treated to hot sexy scenes to extremely sweet scenes. I really can’t wait to read /listen to the next part of this story.

This story was interesting, a little fast paced but definitely romantic.
Adenine has her career path all planned out, and the first step after college is to work for Stone Enterprises. Thanks to her soriety sister, she’s on her way to work as Stone’s personal assistant and away from her clingy ex.
As soon as Adeline arrives in Italy, she feels a connection with the hotel and also a connection to Stone, which she can’t explain.
When Stone needs her to be his fake fiancé for a business deal, she’s more than happy to help out, but on her own terms.
Adeline was a likeable character that seemed to be older than she actually was, she was extremely confident and took charge, not letting anyone walk over her, including Stone.
Stone was a cool headed business guy, but something about the hotel was making him uncomfortable, but he can’t figure out what it is.
The mix of dreams and a past life made this story interesting to read, and also helped explain the instant attraction between these two. The epilogue was also a nice touch.
I listened to this story as an audio book, the narration was easy to listen to and I would happily listen to a book read by Regan Brown again.

Exhale and Move On AUDIO BOOK by K.L. Shandwick – Review by Alexandria Richard

A steamy MMF “bad boy” rock star romance. 4/5 Stars

“Exhale and move on” is a mantra Rick Fars has lived by. When something isn’t going right, just exhale and move on. He has become a bit disenfranchised with the “rock star” life. Sure he’s still getting laid and having fun, but it has become more of the same old. That is until he starts allowing himself to feel his feelings, and to explore what they could be if he followed through on them.

I really enjoyed listening to Rick’s story, and jeesh was the sex HOT. There’s BDSM scenes, M/M, and (multiple) threesomes. This story is not for the faint of heart with the explicitness.

I enjoyed the insight to the turmoil someone in the spotlight could be feeling in their relationships and with themself. Rick is someone who is still exploring who he is and what he wants in life. He may be the “bad boy” but he also has a soft side, planning a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The one thing that made me not be able to give “Exhale and Move On” a 5-star rating was the bouts of slight homophobia from one of the prominent characters. While that may be more realistic, I wasn’t a fan of reading that in a romance novel meant to be MMF.

I have not read K.L. Shandwick before, but the smooth writing (and narration) in this novel drew me in. I also enjoyed all the information about the the other couples and musicians surrounding Rick, leaving me researching the other books with said characters.

Bolton Hill also did a fabulous job narrating “Exhale and Move On.” His voice and tone was spot on for everything. He sounded like he was actually experiencing the feelings the characters were.

The Inheritance, The Story of an Unlikely Submissive AUDIO BOOK by India Kells

The Inheritance, The Story of an Unlikely Submissive AUDIO BOOK by India Kells and Narrated by Antonio Turner. This is my first audible book narrated by Antonio Turner and hot dang he did a great job. I’ve read several books by this author but I’m just starting to get into audible and this book was definitely worth the listen. I will recommend not listening when around little ears. This is a hot and steamy book that will definitely leave you needing to cool down at times. This is about Lani and Max , she finds out her uncle has left her an Inheritance but he also put conditions on it she has to fulfill before she can have it. This is where Max comes in he’s going to help her complete the tasks. She had no idea she was missing something in her life until she met Max. Their chemistry is off the charts. I highly recommend giving this a listen. I’m definitely going to check out more books narrated by Antonio Turner.

Exhale and Move On AUDIO BOOK by K.L. Shandwick – Review by Amanda DelFemine

I will start out by saying that this was the first book I have ever listened to in this genre.  With that being said I thought this book was fantastic.  K.L. Shandwicks writing style and story line of sex, drugs and rock and roll were easy to listen to.  Not to mention how much she and Rick Fars made me want to jump in and have some fun of my own.

Rick finds himself faced with challenges like most rock stars they don’t find love easily. Lifestyles can change in minutes when the past comes knocking on the door or old flames try to rekindle something and you have to choose what makes you happy even if that makes others uncomfortable but in the end you have to do what makes you happy and try something new.  Some people will understand you and some will not.  You know what, that’s ok.  So just be yourself and Exhale and Move On.

This is the first book by K. L. Shandwick I have read. This book is extremely well written. The characters are vivid and you find yourself wanting them to find what they have been looking for and need in their life. Love and acceptance of your wants and needs is what most people search for and this book is all about not only others acceptance but of the characters acceptance of themselves. Be careful not to burn yourself from the heat coming off this book.

Phwoar! This is how I would describe this book! This book is hot and steamy! This was really refreshing for me to read a bisexual romance (M/M/F).This is the story of Rick, a world famous rockstar who plays his music to millions of fans and has women throwing themselves at him day and night. But little does the world know he indulges in men too!
I especially liked the narration of this story. The narrator brought this story to life. The worlds flowed easily and he really brought the characters to life.
My only criticism is that I found that there were quite a few characters introduced and I found it hard to keep up at times with who was who but other than this I really enjoyed this story.

Flowers in December AUDIO BOOK by Jane Suen – Review by Kerry Baker

Flowers In December Audio Book by Jane Suen is a quick and gentle story about life after losing a loved one. It had been quite a while since I had read this book so I jumped at the chance to listen to the audio book. The story was as lovely as I remembered it being and I was instantly taken back into the life of Connor, who is learning how to live after his mother had passed away. At 2 1/2 hours listening time this was the perfect book to put on during a relaxing afternoon.

I thought the narrator was perfect for the descriptive part of the story. At those times I found that I could get lost completely in what he were saying. I think it fell down just a little at the dialogue. It came across as a little monotonous at times and almost a little “he said, she said”. However it didn’t really detract from the audio book as a whole and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

Flowers in December AUDIO BOOK by Jane Suen – Review by Jenique Bornman

I read Flowers in December back in 2018. Now listening to it and rereading my previous review, I can see how much I have grown. Back in 2018 I hadn’t gone through the heartache of losing someone.
So today 3 years later I look at this story with new eyes and understanding. It really touched me on a whole new level.
Add to that the smooth calming tone of the narrator, this time around I really have a greater appreciation for the book.
Thank you for this.

I loved this audio book! It was such a great listen, so much so I listened to it in one sitting. The narration was really good and easy to listen to. I hadn’t read the trilogy that features some of the characters in this story but it didn’t matter for me, I was completely engaged in Rik’s story, although it’s definitely made me want to read/listen to more from this author now! I’m not actually a fan of m/m stories but I this one was written really well so I wasn’t overly bothered by it and a hot, sexy rock star is always going to be a winner in my eyes! I definitely would recommend this story! I loved it from beginning to end and I’m looking forward to reading/listening to more from this author and this series of books again in the future.

Fake Fiancé (A Second Chance Office Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Bobbi Wagner

I enjoyed this audiobook.  The author and narrator made this fun to listen to.  This is a romance story that I had no problems listening to as it was brought to life.   The narrator’s voice and the changes in tone just added to the story.  Adeline has her dream job all set up in Italy, the city of love. Once she gets there, the city of love isn’t what she expected. She now finds herself playing the role of fiance to her boss, Stone. Now they are faced with keeping their relationship business or crossing a professional line. Will they cross that line and give in to the attraction?  Great story and I highly recommend this audiobook.  It is worth the pick up.

Eye of the Storm (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 2) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is the first audio I have listened to by this author.  The narrator pulled me into the story with the tone of voice.  The narrator made the characters come to life with each word.  It was a fun, entertaining story to listen to.  The characters are strong, lovable, and connectable. Chris Shaw opens his eyes and finds himself staring into the eyes of a beautiful woman. Mari Dias has some secrets of her own but she may be his only hope of survival.   They have one mission, to get to sanctuary but what will happen when revenge becomes more important? Can they battle the storm that is raging or will they find shelter? What will happen to them when her secrets are revealed?  I highly recommend this audio.

Broken Circle (A Gray Ghost Novel, Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Bobbi Wagner

I enjoyed listening to this audio.  The narrator pulled me in with tone of voice.  The narrator kept it engaging and made me want to listen to more.  This is a fun, entertaining, suspenseful story to listen to, I can’t wait for the next one.  The characters in this book are lovable and connectable.  This story is about betrayal, misconceptions and seeing things for what they are. This is the story of Liv. She seems to have the best marriage to those looking in from the outside.   She overhears one of his phone conversations but what she doesn’t realize is how it will change her life from that point forward. Will she get to see another side of Alex she didn’t realize existed? He wants nothing more than to protect her but what will happen when he puts her in danger? Will this be a second chance for them or will they need to fear for their lives? All of the characters make this story flow into an action packed story. I highly recommend this audio.  I am glad I picked it up and so will you be

Great story…. pulled at my heart strings. No doubt this story makes you think of the “what if’s” in life. The story was heart felt from a lonely man and trying to process his thoughts and grief. K.L. Shandwick yet again surpasses my expectations.
In this unexpected dare I say inner struggle with his sexuality the rock star changes my mind about him.
I developed a love hate relationship early on with these characters and I’m still undecided. BUT that’s a good thing, it shows how extremely well developed K.L. Shandwick’s characters are. They are multilayered with complex emotions that jump of the pages.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

The narrator is new to me, I struggled a bit to get used to his voice, but maybe it’s just because it’s the first book I’ve listened to from him.

Ready For Flynn, Part 1 (Ready For Flynn #1)Ready For Flynn, Part 1 by K.L. Shandwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

K.L. Shandwick is fast becoming one of my go-to authors.
Ready for Flynn is an AMAZING coming of age story with lots of emotional ups and downs. K.L. Shandwick takes you on a superbly crafted emotional ride with young Valerie’s love story.
The character development is perfect, as the book takes you from a young puppy crush  to love without borders.
I especially appreciated the development of Valerie. The way she changes from a you naive girl into a strong independent young woman, but she her heart doesn’t harden after all the turmoil she’s gone through.

Anne Marie also did an amazing job with the narration. Her transition between characters is flawless.

One of my favorites of this year.

Exhale and Move On AUDIO BOOK by K.L. Shandwick was a steamy romantic read. I loved the non traditional relationship types that were portrayed. The details were there in spades and I definitely got overwhelmed at points. It was a very mellow listen; I could listen to the narrator every day. I cannot wait for my next listen by this author.

Wow. This audiobook kept me completely glued to the story. Shandwick is a relatively new author to me and proving to be a must read. I thought the narrator did a beautiful job providing an emotional depth and connection to the story. I can’t wait to continue the series and see what comes next.
