The Don is a fantastic read! Action, romance, schemes, and plots, it has something for all! The author whispers at where the story will end up, even hints, but the ending is just the entire start of a whole new adventure. And the men! Phew!! Sign me up! I love the play on Greek mythology and how it would apply to today’s world. I will say that it does add a certain spice to this tale 😉

What a hauntingly, beautiful story! A tale of star-crossed lovers lost in their teen-years only to reunite in their later years. Also, a beautiful tale of adoption that brings a family together. I felt like their were so many little themes going in story. They all wound so nicely into a large category of relationships. This story brings together Marlena, who finds out she is adopted, and Betty, who has a child out of wedlock. The supporting characters are intertwined so effectively and tight into the story that it really makes the story so believable. You will feel every emotion with this book. (I did). One of the most heartwarming stories of 2021. Well worth reading. Highly recommend this and any book of hers.

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me reading from the first chapter. Charlie is the little sister of Tanks best friend, they’ve grown up together and she’s always had a crush on him. After a one night stand, they don’t see each other for 8 years, but when they do the chemistry is still there, but both are cautious about being hurt again. This story was really sweet as they got to know each other again and learnt what had been going on during the 8 years apart. I loved Charlie, she wasn’t afraid to say what she felt and put herself out there for something she wanted. I liked how the book didn’t shy away from talking about past abuse, alcoholism or depression. None were in detail, but included enough to understand what the characters might be going through. The only thing I found strange was that neither knew anything about the other despite being close to their brother/best friend, surely something would have been mentioned over the years.

The God is a completely unexpected twist in this heroine’s story! Even more magic and madness await us as we traverse the Underworld. Our heroine is suddenly more of a force to be reckoned with, which was fantastic! This story is a beautiful, poetic take on what love can do. And as always, there is action and espionage to add a dash of adventure to this read. DEFINITELY excited to see what happens next!!

This is such a fun story. The author brings us into the story from the start. I know I can identify with Ivory in a lot of ways. I Love the family bond with the culture of the Chinese! Just wait to see Ivory and the relationship with her own father unfold!! I can see this one turned into a movie.

What a read!! From beginning to end I was completely gripped by the story – I am so glad I found this audio book. The main characters were just great – Giana –what an amazing person, her pure determination and strength considering her past just amazed me – she was so determined to start over and try and forget what she endured. In Derek I just knew she had found the perfect person to try and help her with her new life – his patience was so endearing at times. I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through. There were some great twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat at times. The narration of the story was particularly good and definitely brough the story to life in my opinion! A fantastic 5-star audio book!

I really enjoyed these cosy Mysteries. They are easy to read and out librarian turned investigator Sunshine really brings them stories to live with her sweet but inquisitive nature once she has the bit between her teeth she doesn’t let go until the mystery is solved. There are 3 books in this boxset and each one is unique. All of the books can be read as a standalone however if you read them in order you get a better sense of the characters. Mainly our leading lady Sunshine.
All 3 mysteries are cosy mysteries which mean they are easy to read and don’t contain anything in them that could be offensive to readers. So if you like mysteries then they are ideal. These books are full of twists and turns and secrets that will be revealed.
Through the series we see Sunshine grown and become more confident in her ability as an investigator and its nice to see her confidence grow as she figures out and solves each case. I’m looking forward to reading more from this series.
What a cute idea for a story, it makes you wonder if it is really possible to happen. Running a dating service but not matching yourself up, but able to match others. A fun and easy read. Author Natalina Reis makes it a natural flow. A good romance to lighten your day.

This book drew me in from the first page. I didn’t read the first book, which would have helped a little, but you didn’t really need to! This book had action, love, and main characters I wish were real. Just the sort line and all of the secrets that you find out about the characters are like nothing I’ve ever read before. This story left me wanting more. I loved how Hazel Storm made Vanessa stand out from the beginning and how she felt like she didn’t belong in the underworld which I can really relate to in my real life so it made me want to find out more about Vanessa. Vanessa what what really roped me in I wanted to find out what made her so different, why does she stand out, why is she the way she is. The story is just incredible and so well written that I felt like I was there watching everything happen in real time with Vanessa and Grey. I can’t wait to see where their adventures take them next!

If you are looking for something short and steamy, a nice quick read, this is the one. There are two sexy reads in one, Tequila Sunset & Beneath the Sheets. The first book Cassie finally lands her best friend’s dad after suffering from a bad recent break up. It does check off the fantasy of being with a younger daddy. The only thing that kind of threw me off was the dialogue between them, at times I thought Cassie was a little too much, but that didn’t distract from the sexiness that was happening with them. In the second book is more on the sweet side to me, yes it is also short and steamy, but this one has friends that have reconnected after being apart for awhile. I’m happy Sarah found what she was looking for, it seems she has always loved Alex, and it looks like Alex may feel the same. I would definitely recommend this book for any romance lover who is looking for a quicky.

Potager Plot: A Backyard Farming Mystery by Vicki Walton was a quick, easy to read book. It had so many different and interesting characters, which will make for more fun books in the future (I hope!). The mystery and plot twists had me guessing until the end. I enjoyed working out the clues along with the main character, Anne. The sweet romance added to the story well. It was a very entertaining read and I’m looking forward to reading the previous books in this series and any future ones.
The Dangerous Curves Series presented in this box set is a truly wonderful read. Even though they are mysteries they left me feeling light hearted and happy. The characters created by K.L Montgomery are just gorgeous. Bryce Beach sounds like a beautiful community to be a part of, I know I’d love to live there as long as I had Sunshine for my bestie. There are great twists and turns in the stories and you really do feel like you are right there with the characters every step of the way. Ms Montgomery you have a new fan for sure. Now to tell you a little about each book without giving too much away!
In the first book, Betrayal at the Beach, we meet Sunshine Baker, a Young Adult Librarian at the Bryce Beach Library. When a valuable town artefact is stolen during a fundraising Gala Sunshine was in charge of organising, She can’t resist trying her best to figure out who stole it. With the help of her gorgeous friends especially her bestie Molly, Sunshine sets out to solve this mystery and make everything right again for the library even if Chief James wants her to stop meddling and stick to the library!
In the Second book , Mystery at the Marina, Sunshine is at it again! This time her curiosity is peaked and can’t be tamed when numerous sea life, fish, sharks and even a young whale, wash up on the beach having died mysteriously. She is determined to once again find the answers needed to set things right again in Bryce Beach but this time she really could be in serious danger. Secrets are everywhere and nothing is truly is as it seems. Poor Sunshine is again encouraged my Chief James to stick to her work at the library but I think deep down he just knows she isn’t going to do that LOL
In the third book, Shooting at the Shore, Sunshine becomes involved in the investigation of the death of a dearly loved community leader. She discovers a Memoir that may well uncover long buried family secrets. The big question is will this help or hinder her investigation? Once again her gorgeous friends at the library are there for her and Chief James seems to be mellowing.

Sometimes, you just need a quick little pick me up to renew your view on romance, love, life, and all good things. That’s exactly why I picked this little novella up, and I can tell you, I wasn’t disappointed. As with most people, Ray and Lys (Alyssa) have fought their own demons, experience some turbulence within their relationship, and have the unfortunate circumstance of a shared loss. All of this brings them closer and closer together, and allow them to open their hearts to each other, and to really explore just how far their relationship can take them. My partner caught me smiling, and blushing a few times, and inquired as to what exactly I was reading, if that gives you any indication as to how well this novella is written. Amazing little reprieve from the real world. Thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you, Amy L. Gale!

I picked up this book, with an idea of my head of what the book would flow through with and the main concept of the book, and I will admit, in a good way, I could not be more wrong! This wonderful novel brought so much different levels of emotions as well as connections, it was such a moving as well as touching book, I never read anything like it before, and I am so happy I got to read this!
The book and its contents with the characters was beyond beautiful. It was like watching a sunset on a nice beach with a breeze, knowing that could be your last sunset you ever see perhaps. You take it all in for what it is, and defiantly for what it is worth! That is what these characters were to me All were different in their own special way. They were none of the same except for one reason only, and that was that they were t be gone soon enough due to a illness that was terminal.
Dire’s Club itself gave them all one final request to live out. No matter how big or extreme it was going to happen for each of them. I thought that was really remarkable. I bonded so much with these characters, I laughed with them, I smiled with them, and I certainly cried with them. Reading of their hopes, what they wished would happen, and defiantly their fears, really moved me. It was hard at scenes to take in what certain ones said, so much pain in love in their words, you felt everything! I just wanted to reach into the book at a few parts and hug them and give them comfort in the best way that I know.
The book gave me some new views on life to defiantly think about. Death perhaps isn’t the end of all we know, perhaps its a different path for us all. That’s my opinion I have taken back from this book. It taught me death does not have to be scary, just accepted. As well, never stop trying to live your life, we are here for a short time, lets make the most of it! The story was beautiful I cried a lot with this novel, no regrets!
The author has a special way with words and wrote this wonderful story. I really fell deep into my emotions with this one. It touched my soul and heart in ways that can never be truly expressed. It was amazing and perfect in every way. I defiantly will b telling everyone to read it. Don’t wait to read it, read it now, it really will give you a different prescriptive to think about, and wonder about as well. Its touching in more ways than one. I really had a good experience reading this book, and I wish I got to read this book sooner. It is one not to be missed. Truly recommend with all of my heart and soul for you to read this!

The God is the second in the series “Her Three Immortals” is just as good as the first. Vanessa would do anything for Piper even sell her soul and end up in the Underworld in none other than Grey’s own apartment in Elysium. The whole area is void of any color except for white, black and grey. She has somehow brought a soul echo into the Underworld with her and it ends up helping her find her own color and a way to bring color to the whole area. With the help of Gorgonita the mirror, her grandfather and her soul shadow she brings back love and color. Another amazing book by Hazel Storm, can’t wait for book 3 to see what happens to everyone!

Although this is a pre-teen for 9_12 year olds I enjoyed it and my nephew did too. Rocky soon finds himself investigating to prove himself innocent for a crime he didn’t commit. Find out what happens next in this must read. Will Rocky be able to prove himself innocent? Slow Burn is book two in the Breathing Hearts series by A.K. Macbride. The pendulum swung in every emotional direction in this story. There was humour, sadness, tension, conflict, and a whole plethora of feels for a reader to bask in. The story was engaging and addictive. The characters were lovable and ridiculously entertaining. This story made me deliriously happy and kept me on edge for hours. I totally immersed myself in this vibrant cast and got lost in the journey. A stunning addition to a series that is becoming a passion of mine. 5 stars.

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set #1 (Dangerous Curves Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery
5 ++++ Stars
These books will be sitting on my bookshelf, and I already can’t wait to start this series all over again!
Sunshine Baker has quickly become one of my favorite characters ever. She is everything I love. First she’s a librarian which I think would be an amazing way to spend my days, she works with her best friends which would just be an awesome added bonus, she has the quirkiest yet most loving parents, she lives in a small town which is always my preference, and she has turned into a bonafide adrenaline junkie who has decided to start solving cases in her small town. She seems to have a new admirer/fan that she needs to stay aware of, and she loves cats! I want to be this woman’s friend, her life is awesome!
I simply love this author, she always seems to reach through and touch me with her stories and her words. So far I would say you could read these as standalones but there is alot brought up that happened in the book/s before, and although you don’t absolutely need this information to appreciate the story, you would just get more satisfaction if you read them in order.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series, can’t wait to start book 4!

The best book I’ve ever listened too. On top of the narrators bringing the characters to life so perfectly, the story is amazing. Sophie, a woman living in the UK loves sex and her best friend. When her best friend gets into trouble, and therefore gets Sophie into trouble, she finds herself under the protection of an outlaw motorcycle gang, the Satan’s Devils. Attempting to protect Sophie is more of a challenge than they thought, but she makes some lifelong friends there. The culture and family this book brings into view in the motorcycle gang is eye opening. If you like being kept on the edge of your seat, action, planning, and culture, this is the perfect book for you. Listen to it. I was hoping it would never end. I can’t wait to listen to the next one and look into the books this series has spun off of.

Though the story did take a little bit to get into – as I hadn’t read the other books leading up to it – once I got going it was an intense and entralling book! It really sucks you in with the various characters and how they overlap and interact. I am very interested in how this story progresses through the series. Despite being a bit difficult to get started, the book was engaging and the characters humorous while still being relatable. Time and time I kept finding myself thinking of how I would be reacting in that situation, which I find is the sign of a well written story!

Tainted by Marsha R. West is a romance suspense story. Liz Hartman is attempting to find her way in the world after a divorce. In Fort Worth where she lives, many of her socialite friends have shunned her because of her husband being caught by the FBI for money laundering. To find some solitude and a quieter life, Liz and her daughter Lauran head up to New Mexico where the family spent many summers at Liz’s mother’s cabin. But it seems Liz cannot escape trouble which isn’t exactly helping Liz find solitude. The good thing is there are many folks in New Mexico who believe in Liz and help her reclaim her life. It doesn’t hurt that the town Marshall is her high school boyfriend Matt Thornton. Overall I loved this story and can’t wait to read more books by this author.

Effacement is a sci-fi tech-thriller set in a future (2037) world where EVERYTHING is documented through a government-mandated chip. When a scientist who helped creat the chip becomes suspicious of some deaths related to the tech, he soon awakes to find his own chip and recent memories missing. Who is behind this set up?
I will admit that this isn’t my typical genre, but as a thriller it is a page-turner! If you like dystopian or futuristic books, you will love this one. It really hits home as technology advances and we look to control more and more virtually…
So Close was a good 4 star read. Dahlia worked hard to get a promotion at her job. After getting promoted she is put in charge of the new building project. When she finds out who she will be working with she is not thrilled at all. She hasn’t seen him in years.
Levi was surprised to see that he would be working with Dahlia. He’s hoping that maybe he can finally get a chance to talk to her and explain his actions. She does a pretty good job at trying to keep things professional but he won’t have that. Her walls start to come down and her old feelings are definitely there.
Will she finally listen to what Levi has to say? Can they have a future together?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t wait to find out the truth right along with Dahlia. The connection between these two was great. I enjoyed watching them reconnect. If you’re looking for a good read, 1-click and get started today on this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series

Boy Released was a really interesting read! This is the sequel to the novel Boy On Hold and this can be read as a standalone but it does make more sense and you get the whole back story if you read Boy On Hold first. This was very interesting as Tyler has schizophrenia and it was very interesting just reading inside his mind, and how it works and is wired differently. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one better than the first. I’m not sure why but this one just held my attention better and I flew through it. It was so quick to read and was enthralling all the way through. I really enjoyed this one and highly recommend it!

I have found yet another great summer beach read in Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis! Not the common romance novel I normally read, but definitely enjoyed the coworkers to lovers storyline. Natalina has written two very relatable characters in Ivory Towers and Li Qiang. This age-gap comedy will have you rooting from the very beginning for the two of them to find happiness with each other. You’ll just have to read to find out if they do! This was an unusual story. At the same time it’s fascinating. If I was in the position of this diers, I would more than likely do an adventure as well. I was intrigued reading this book. I loved that Jimmy can make people’s dream a reality.

This book had me from the moment I saw the cover, but let’s get to the story! Ray and Lys practically grew up together and in a way they’re both starting new. I love the attraction between the two. The story was to the point and swoon worthy. There were some things I would have liked to know more about in the book, but it did not take away from the main story. I’m definitely interested in more books by this author!

This was a sweet but also suspenseful book. The main character, Liz, is very lovable. The book was a little bit wordy in descriptions for me so it took me a minute to get into it but by the 3rd chapter or so I was hooked. This is one of my most favorite kind of romance books because it has a happily ever after ending. When you think you have everything figured out something else happens and surprises you.
