Didn’t fail to follow in the unique glow of its predecessor. Always very interesting and I love how the writer writes the chapters in each characters perspectives. I was very interested in reading this book because I read “The Don”, the first book in the series. It picks up right where it left off and continues the roller coaster of emotions. This is a great book for anybody who likes world building, unique and strong characters, and different types of attraction.

This was not my first book from this author, but I just can’t get enough of her work. I started in the middle of this series, but got hooked on Manda’s writing style and character development. I knew I had to go back and read this MC series from the beginning and I wasn’t left disappointed. I just love a strong female character. It was so exciting to see Wraith help Sophie to blossom back into her sassy self after suffering the loss of her leg. If you haven’t tried this author, and you enjoy rough, dominant bikers and strong, intriguing female characters, this is the perfect place to start!

Fantastic book!! This is my first book reading from Author Vi Summers but definitely will not be my last! I loved this dual POV story of Lil and Gage. When they first meet there is instant sparks and they are drawn to each other. There are dark moments, especially in Gage’s past. He holds back and has not gotten close to anyone in a few years. When you finally find out what Gage went through in his past and what happened….my heart just ached for his character. I loved Lil’s character, strong, bold and wont change for anyone. She has a bumpy past too, with an ex-fiancee that was not who he seemed to be. When Lil get this feeling of being “watched” and eventually kidnapped, Gage will go to the ends of the earth to save Lil. I was at the edge of my seat especially finding out who this mystery person was. This is a great story full of love, loss and suspense. I cannot wait to continue this series. Fantastic read!!

I found myself enjoying the story and devouring every page to find out how it would all end. It seems like this is a series that I am definitely going to be following!

I thought this Audio was a great one! I have liked everything that i have read by this author and when I saw there was an audio for this book and I had to jump on it! The dual narrators were a good choice for this book and they really brought it to life. This audio was a long one at almost 13 hours. So it took me a few days to listen to the entire thing. I kept coming back though and I am left wanting more. I will definitely be picking up more audios by this author in the future! Happy Listening

I devoured this book in one go. Gahhh, Li Qiang was so flipping sweet. The whole dominant, manly man alpha male is great and all, but sometimes I just want to read a sweet romance where the guy is so good it’s adorable. That’s exactly what I got from this. And as much as Ivory started to drive me crazy with her second guessing everything he said, it’s relatable. Sometimes insecurities do sweep in and try to sabotage good things. Also, I adored Wei’re! Such a lovable little side character!

Caught by Him by Tammy Mannersly was a cute contemporary romance novella that I really enjoyed reading! When Brody Nash meets Willabelle Stone he doesn’t know what to do with himself! Willa is helping out her grandfather but accidentally loses the key she was given and has to hope over the gate that leads to the house. A misunderstanding leads these two characters into a whirlwind opposites attract story that kept my attention throughout. I loved the first encounter these 2 had and the way they got along. The author did a fantastic job of writing this story to include everything you could expect from a contemporary romance including a possible breakup courtesy of an ex. I really enjoyed this book and I cannot wait for the opportunity to read more of Tammy’s stories and would highly recommend it for someone looking for a short but cute romantic read!

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set #1 (Dangerous Curves Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Samantha Bassett I love this series and I had no idea I liked cozy mysteries but now I am hooked and can’t wait to read the next book. K.L. Montomery is a great writer and doesn’t feel the need to make the main character have a love interest, this is something I enjoy in a book. I love a story with a strong woman who doesn’t feel the need to have a significant other. Sunshine Baker is working at the library in Bryce Beach, which is a small seaside town. She figures out that she is very good at solving mysteries with her friends. The police chief is not thrilled with this in the beginning but learns to live with it and knows that Sunshine and her friends can actually help him out. This leads to some very precarious positions and many twists and turns. There may be moments when you think you have it all figured out and then something else comes up.
Dangerous Curves, Box Set 1 by K.L. Montgomery was a quick and entertaining read. The books follow Sunshine Baker, the young adult librarian at the Bryce Beach public library while she solves mysteries that pop up within her town. Much to the chagrin of the Chief of police, she finds herself enjoying the solving of mysteries and takes each mystery on as her personal responsibility even being told to leave it to the police. The twists and turns K.L. Montgomery takes will keep you wanting more. Excited for more mysteries that Sunshine partakes in.
From the start of the story, I was pulled in. I enjoy it when the author has different voices to do male and female parts. This really helps build the suspense and tension. Dakota Willink has a way of writing that fills you with adrenaline as you read. Edge of the sear thrills. Highly recommend. 18+ older.

Romancing the Tropics: A Holiday Romance Boxset (A Tropical Cocktail Romance) by L.M. Mountford is yet another outstanding book by an author that is firmly on my must read list! Every time I pick up a book by this author I know it is going to be good – so much so that I no longer even bother to read the descriptions I simply start reading. Thanks to that I was very pleasantly surprised to find this book was not just 1 book but 2! Although both short stories I was delighted that we got to read even more. And I honestly don’t think I could pick a favourite out of each of these books as I enjoyed them both so much. I absolutely devoured the collection in one sitting and even went back to read these ones again. They are so steamy that you will definitely find yourself a bit hot under the collar. I loved that both of the stories were different and yet both had my attention in full. I would highly recommend not only these books but this author as well.

Tainted by Marsha R. West is a fantastic romantic suspense story that really keeps the pages turning. The author has done such a good job of building this story up, page by page, drawing you in and completely capturing your attention. The way she has written the characters, to me, has made them so much more real and engaging. I felt like I really got to know them throughout the book and got to experience everything they were. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really think it has given me a great insight into the way she writes and connects with the reader. If all of her books are like this then I cannot wait to discover more of them. This is a brilliant book that you won’t be able to put down.

What an amazing peek into the mind of someone with schizoaffective disorder. I loved this book, not only is the topic interesting and unique, but the writing is fantastic, and the character development is sensational. I loved that Billiter gave us this one from various points of view, allowing us to feel the confusion, heartbreak, and personal struggle of a mother parenting four children, including one whose mental health is rapidly changing, but we also get to hear from a teen who is rapidly questioning his own sanity and ability to believe himself and his memories. Watching the two of them come to terms with these developments, and also hearing from the rest of the family and see how their lives and understandings shift is awesome. Extremely well written, frank, and deeply empathetic, I loved this one from start to finish.

Wow, this book is definitely worth the read. Branson tells his mom, Tara, that he is hearing voices. The story evolves through raw feelings for his mom as she tries to deal with this. for a fiction story, the author did a lot of research into schizophrenia and depression. I have a child with this awful disease and I recognize these meds. The plot will get you just as you think every thing is fine (remember, this is book 1) . Not all is as it seems. What you perceive may not be. I highly recommend this one. Run over and read book 2 when you finish this one.

I am absolutely in love with this series. The Greek mythology and the story line were amazing. Yes it was a shorter book but the characters and the story itself were absolutely amazing. Vanessa will do anything to save her younger brother Piper. A new neighbor, Grey, moves in across the street and she has an immediate pull to him but she is unsure why. She also meets his half brother, Raef, who she begins to fall for because he is such a gentleman to her even tho he is a billionaire and her mother has warned her about people with money. Raef falls for her whole family and wants to help in any way possible. Hazel Storm has a way with her characters and making them come alive. It does end in a cliffhanger but I can’t wait to read more!

Written in the Stars (Mothers and Daughters Collection) by Angela Christina Archer. I loved this book. Its the story of 17 year old Betty Hamilton who has gotten pregnant out of wedlock in the 1950’s which is taboo. She was dropped off at Dartmouth Home for Wayward Girls all alone with nothing to her name but her baby. Once the baby is born she is taken away from Betty and given to a family to be adopted in a closed adoption and Betty is sent home with nothing. Years later Marlena is a young girl whose father is really sick and Marlena thinks she can help him. When she realizes she can’t she is also told she was adopted. Marlena is heartbroken and feels like she has been lied to all these years. Marlena sets out to find her adoptive mom and finds out lots of secrets along the way. Will she find her adoptive mom before its too late or will Betty die never knowing the child she loved and gave birth too? Read Written in the Stars to find out!

This is a new author for me but based on the title and book cover I was pretty sure that I wouldn’t be disappointed. And I was right. This turned out to be a great romantic comedy. I laughed from the beginning chapter right up until the last page. Her characters were so warming and inviting, and she really has a way of writing about family dynamics that if like me, you find yourself wondering if this is your family. I wondered at times of some of this was based on actual real-life events because she did such a beautiful job describing what was going on. I felt like I was watching it all unfold before my very eyes. I can certainly say that she has quite a way with telling stories that made me laugh so hard I cried. I promise that this will not be the last book I read by this author. I look forward to many more.

Boy On Hold by JD Spero is such a great book. I have never been exposed to mental health issues in such a deep and thoughtful way. The author really makes you understand how one person struggling with an issue has such profound impact not only on family but those they encounter daily. The book is wonderfully written in such a way that you can feel the pressure of the characters and totally understand what Tyler and Hen are going through. It is well thought out and written in a way that helped me not only relate to the characters but to feel their pain and anguish as the story develops. I think this book would be a great read for everybody to teach about mental health issues and inspire compassion for those who suffer. The storyline was well structured, easy to read and still had me guessing as to what would happen next. Read, enjoy, and truly understand the trauma and triumphs of mental health issues.

Forbidden Wolf is a new form of paranormal romance. I have NEVER read a book like this before! It grows past mere lingering looks and infatuation to a whole new level of devotion. This story matures into a revolutionary tale that breaks the mold. It is ABSOLUTELY worth the time to read this ground-breaking novel. I will say that the beginning was a little slow, but oh my goodness did it take off! And ALL the feels!!

Ugh, I LOVED! This book continues from Forbidden Wolf, and CR Robertson has topped it! Tasha really comes into her power and confidence, Levi is again just the best. There was spice from the start, but not just spice, passionate and almost desperate spice, which is even better. The connection between the two MCs is palpable and I loved getting lost in it. The villains in the story were quite despicable, which makes them great villains to route against. I loved the underlying mysteries about the world and the history of the characters. Once I hit about 50% through, I couldn’t put it down. My only complaint is that it doesn’t look like there will be a third book… Why? I need more of Tasha and Levi!!! I need to know what happens next! Maybe a spin off series? Please? Definitely looking out for more this author has written, because I thoroughly enjoyed both books in this world.

Quick and interesting read with just a hint of spice. The three main women in the story were great characters to follow as they are all independent, self sufficient, and strong which I always love to see in book. I especially enjoyed the little bits I got to see of Embry. I did feel as though the plot was resolved too quickly and nicely. I think more could have been done as there was so much build up. The romance could have used more development as well, I would have loved to see more intimate moments between the two MCs. In general, enjoyable read, and will likely read again. Keeping my eyes open for the next in series to hopefully get more of Embry. I enjoyed her spunk!

This book, it was a book I truly loved in more ways than one. The book was something more people should know about as well as understand. The book faced the elephant in the room, head on, that is what we call mental illness. The book was by far one of the best that I have ever read, that addresses issues such as this. It was very well written, as well as the emotions of the family! It was a by far amazing read.
The book centers on a family yes. More specifically, a boy that has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia Brandon, the boy whom had been diagnosed, was going through a lot, hearing voices and trying to understand and comprehend what was going on in his mind was not easy. His family took a till on this as well, wanting to help, but at times not knowing what the best approach or the method would be. I found the diagnosis affected all the family members differently. I feel truly that his mother had the greatest burden of all, and she had a lot of guilt and shame inside her heart..
The book was more than realistic to my eyed. I cried a lot reading this, as you truly felt the emotional wave the family was going through. And the acceptance and needing to be strong as a family to get through this hard time, but knowing its not the end, they will get through it, one day at a time. The author very much educated me with their writing on things of schizophrenia I was not aware of, and I found I was able to understand it better and knew more of the mental illness upon reading this boo. The author did amazing at this story and it was one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.
The author did such an wonderful job. The story line, though complex, it really gave everything and more to us as the readers. I am so happy and touched that the author chose to write a book about something most would choose not to. In this growing world, its something more and more people need to be accepting was and talk about. Not just sweep it under a rug. The book is a must read. No questions asked. Its a read that really makes you feel what a family with this diagnosis would be feeling and its realistic in more ways than one. It is heart felt and real with every word on the page! A brilliant book of writing!

Dangerous Curves box set is books 1-3 of the the Cozy Christian Mysteries series. Sunshine Baker was so relatable in many ways for me and im jealous of her job, well “jobs” . I enjoyed all 3 of these books and after finishing each it became my favorite. These are perfect for an afternoon read to cuddle up in a comfy spot and get lost in the pages. Cant wait for more!
This was a beautiful written story, full of ups and downs along with the trails and triumphs of this thing we called life. It was a good read, was a fast paced setting, and I really enjoyed the character development I received from reading this wonderful book
I found even the the main male character was so easy to relate to, Ray, He was a strong athlete, he was a boxer , but sadly an injury caused his career to come to a very quick stop. He starts to pick up his life again, going back to his home town and buying a local business that would be good to start up again, Everything seemed easy and off to a good start. Throw in the girl who always held your heart, but was not ethical to chase after as she was your best friend’s sister? Not so easy or productive perhaps. Alyssa had her own trials of life she had gone through, but was trying to move on and basically find her place in the world. I feel she never expected to have Ray come back into her life as he did!
Faith had other plans to for these two souls. Ray’s best friend, as well as Alyssa’s brother, sadly was not in the picture. You could tell it was something heavy for them in both their hearts. Perhaps though, maybe this loss and faith are brining them together in more ways than one? They have to work together and as they spend time together, more walls seem to fall down, and maybe they both needed each other, and they never knew how much they could feel with one another if they just allowed themselves to. Could it be true love if they allowed it? Or will life throw something into the ring that could ruin everything?
It was a very enjoyable quick read. The chemistry with Ray and Alyssa was undeniable. It was a beautiful at times, and yes it was something they both had to work hard for. I was rooting for these two souls the entire book, it was a wonderful read. I seriously recommend reading it, its not one y to miss out on!

This is my first time reading this author. I enjoyed the story and how her high school love came full circle back into her life. Having lived in TX and NM for a couple of years each, I had to laugh at her description of the scenery during her drive from Ft. Worth to Red River. It was spot on! Made me feel like I was in the car riding along and thinking, “Will this trip ever end?!” LOL
I liked the characters and felt like she presented them in a realistic way. It’s hard not to be tainted by something your significant other does to the degree of a federal crime. Ms. West did a wonderful job of describing the struggles of overcoming and becoming your own person. It’s easier to heal when you are surrounded by people who believe in you.

Meet Marcy, young, running her own bakery, and with a terrible temper she can’t control. Dating Brad, who she has been with for two and a half years, Marcy expects to spend forever with him. But when she meets a mysterious stranger, and things with Brad fall apart, Marcy and Liam start to explore their relationship. Getting mixed up in Liam’s plot for revenge, Marcy finds herself on a path she never imagined.
These stories are good. I enjoyed the characters, especially Liam. However, there was a lot of times I felt the story moved at too slow of a pace and scenes that could have been shortened or removed altogether. Marcy is very wishy washy in her relationships, and her thoughts are all over the place. The conversations between characters were not realistic, as no one really talks like they do in these stories, which made some of it seem forced.
The Marcy Series has a good premise, and I would recommend reading it. The action scenes are fantastic and I kept reading to find out what happened with Liam’s revenge plot. 3/5 stars.
