After reading the second installment of this series, I am just as impressed as I was with the first book! The plot is face paced and continues to build toward what I expect will be an epic conclusion.
The relationship between Lucy, Marcus and Dylan continue to become more and more intertwined. As Marcus’ past comes back to stare them all in the face, there are new characters and new twists introduced. I couldn’t help but to become more and more pulled in to the book as more secrets are uncovered!
Definitely looking forward to reading the last book in this series and seeing how the author wraps it all up! Although, secretly, I am hoping that there are spin-offs of other characters!

A story that hits you right in the heart! 2 people at the end of their ropes finding each other in the most crazy way! This was by far my favorite and the authors telling of this tale took me to a whole other mindset! While I think you could read as a standalone though I definately reccomend reading them all!!🖤🖤

I am in LOVE with this series. So many twists and turns and I adore the dynamic between Tausha & Levi. The war with the hellspawn takes a VERY interesting turn, not to mention a complication courtesy of Castus! So engaging and entertaining you won’t want to put it down. Vampires and Lycans and hellspawn, oh my!!

I was a great fan of the previous novel in the series, so needless to say I was super excited to read this installment. And seriously the first one was amazing, but this one did wonders just as much if not more! I was a die hard Twilight series fan in my teen years, but this one for me is even better of a paranormal teen series. I am getting great enjoyment from the series and watching Lucy grow and progress for her great destiny and learning more truth on who and what she is destined for.
The book takes off with our main characters trying to live life as their suppose to. Lucy and Jude have more a relationship than they used to, and Lucy is learning more about the truth of herself. I enjoyed seeing the father and daughter things with them grow and prosper. Though Lucy does not take his word lightly, and personally I do not blame her. Still, Jude is trying his best to earn his trust. In truth though, is there hidden reasons for why Jude is really needing and wanting his daughter’s love so bad or is there more things underneath myself as the reader am not aware of yet? I felt as reading though, it probably is just a hunch, but Jude may be knowing something he isn’t letting on? I could easily be way off.
And still I stand as Team Marcus. Marcus is a sweetheart, he may not be a ride or die bad boy as Dylan is. I enjoy their fondness for one another. Things take a unsuspected turn to say the least when the father of Marcus appears out out of the blue. Instantly I had trust issues. I was right. He had different goals then we would have thought as well as making sure Lucy is gone from this earth as to reason of her being Jude’s daughter. His name of Garett. And his intentions were not truth as I mentioned, but truly set off a new course of events. Still, I enjoyed bringing him into this series. As I feel his introduction will set off a curve for the next installments in the series.
As things progress things get much harder Lucy. Things she believes in, as well as the words of those she cares about, becomes all too questionable. She had already been going through a lot, she needed her friends close for guidance as well as her protection, but when you cant even be sure of your own instinct of whom is deserving of your trust what is a girl to do?
Things take an expected turn towards a battle with Garett. This was a well written scene and lot of things happened. The light perhaps sort to say was seen at the end of the tunnel, or a realistic point with the battle with Garrett I know for a fact more questions may arise in the next novel, and I truly can not wait to read it. A girl has her Gargoyle and her Demon. With that said, with danger pretty much at every turn and constantly checking your back, are they really enough protect her? Or will they be her downfall?
I loved this book installment with a passion The author, she truly is a marvelous author. I am truly hooked on this series. I can not get my hands on the next book fast enough. Her writing always brings so much to the table. She wrote a wonderful first book in this series, and did wonders with this one. More with the dangers, the story line, what Lucy is destined for, as well new characters through out this novel that you really want to know more about. I also enjoyed reading of the characters of the previous book and seeing their growth a this one started up up until the final page.
Highly recommend this book and this series in general. Its interesting to say the least. It has great action and danger as well as character development which is very well done. All in all, its great series to lose yourself into. Trust me, I am not be part gargoyle, or demon, ( at least I don’t think so) but this book has an aspect for everyone to enjoy who reads it! Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

A café, cute cats, and a murder mystery. I think I was in love when I came across this book! I am a person who defiantly supports animals and finding forever homes for them as well and I do love my cozy murder mysteries so of course I had to pick this one up and give it a read. I am so glad I did!
The story is around our wonderful protagonist named Ellie. Whom is a total sweetheart and really loves cats and ensuring the welfares of their health. She runs an amazing café named Kitty Beret Café (Personally I would love to visit this place in real life) where cats free roam while customers enjoy kitty inspired drinks. Everything in the café is cat related and I found truly fun and humorous to read. I must admit reading those words of the names of the drinks made my heart smile more than once.
Everything seems so blissful for Ellie and her fur babies. Well, that is until anyway when an elderly lady who walks in has many complaints about the beautiful cats free roaming. She immediately was a character you strongly dislike. Not long after her scene she made about cursing out poor Ellie, she was found well murdered.
By whom was the true mystery that needed to unfold? Who would have motive and reason to kill her aside from her bashing a café so many people knew and loved. Worst of all Ellie is at risk of losing her café because she seems to have the motive. Ellie wasn’t going to stop for this and she would have to rely on the instinct of her felines to help her! Especially her special one, he was very intelligent and he proved to be a wonderful side character and aided to the case very well. There was more characters introduced and I enjoyed them just as much. The detective (needless to say) was a character fun to imagine and easily could fall for as a reader. One thing was clear someone was out to get Ellie, but why and who? That is the mystery my dear friends and you will have to read to find out!
There was a lot things Ellie and her cats had to figure out. I loved how the author emphasized a lot on the cats The costumes, their habits, I really had fun reading that. It was a cozy mystery right up my alley. How could I not love this book? I also loved how this book kept be going there was quite a possibly list of people who could have murdered the lady who had the outburst. It kept me guessing as I read through and to be honest I was wrong with my guess in the end haha!
This was a delightful read and I truly enjoyed it. I never had read a book by this author, but from my love of this book, I can honestly say for a fact that I will. I am so glad I discovered this book and had a fun heartsome read as I read through. It had treats for the reader, as well as the cats. Highly recommend!

It was nice to see where everyone is many years later but I really wasn’t expecting a second book. I really enjoyed Hen and was shocked over Tyler in the first book. In this story it was nice to see the changes in both of these boys as they both come to terms with their are new living situation and lives. The story does provide a lot of thought-provoking ideas.
Overall it was an OK book. I really felt it dwelled a lot on Tyler and it was more written for him and how he is coping with life. Then a little of Hen’s stalled life and their mother’s changes. The story seemed slow at times for me. I did enjoy how a lot of things came full circle and each character was giving a difficult task or challenge to overcome.

This was such a great read had me hooked and an excellent first edition to the series. It is about 4 girl friends who have had to fend for themselves and support eachother. But book 1 is mainly about Athena. The last thing she wants or needs is to fall in love but then comes along Tru and she can’t seem to stay away from him. He pushes her buttons and makes her feel alive again. They have great sexual chemistry and they continue to winde each other up yet they both grow to realise that they would actually be amazing together.

There’s a common expression I remind myself of every day: that which does not kill us, makes us stronger.
People think I live an idyllic life with my perfect husband, but they don’t know what lies beneath the façade.
Like the delicate petals of the daisies he loved to give, I was easily crushed—broken, just as he wanted me to be.
I’ve learned to accept what is, but I won’t let it destroy me.
Instead, I do the only thing I can to survive—I run.
Derek
I knew she had a story. I knew it most likely contained violence, but never did I imagine the horrors she’d been though.
I’d waited so long and she’d experienced so much. She was perfectly imperfect, her scars more than skin deep.
It was near impossible to separate truths from lies, but I knew her secret. Yet, I couldn’t help wanting to get closer. She was strong, and there was beauty in strength.
I was drawn to it—drawn to her.
I wanted to erase her horrors and give her something new to dream about.

Dire’s Club by Kimberly Packard is such an original and quite compelling read. I have loved all her previous books- and even though this story is quite different from the rest, I enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than her other works. This is a story about facing death, a topic that could be quite heavy and depressing. But this story manages to make this otherwise depressing topic take a more inspiring, moving, and beautiful tone that really made me sit up and take notice. It is an adventure- where we follow a group of people as they embark on an experience of a lifetime while fulfilling a ‘bucket list’ wish and embracing ‘life’ to the fullest before death comes knocking. This is all about friendships, secrets, adventure, emotion, facing your mortality, making you think, inspiring, terminal illness, mental illness- all with some unexpected twists and surprising developments that turn up the intrigue to maximum. The story really made me evaluate my own life and take stock of what I would like to tick off my list before I ‘go’… This book might seem like it is about mortality, death and dying- but I feel it is more about life- really embracing life, enjoying your life, and “living like your life depends on it”… A really beautiful and memorable story that I won’t soon forget!

James Talisman delivers another great read in the second book in the Journeys Through series, Journey Through TimeSpace! As in the first book, the book is spread throughout the MultiVerse, though focusing on less characters this time around made it a much easier read. I also loved being able to watch some of the characters from the previous novel develop more, making me enjoy the novel even more than the previous one. It is the perfect novel for any SciFi lover or Marvel lover, containing adventures through space, time travel, and a cliffhanger at the end that makes the reader know that there is much more to come! I know I look forward to reading the next installment, and I think many others will as well!

Journeys Through SpaceTime is a complex and intricately woven web of many different worlds/dimensions and therefore, characters. I had a difficult time in the beginning remembering who was who, and keeping up with all the diverse characters, each with their own unique personalities, lives, thoughts, and even worlds at times. It almost is reminiscent of Game of Thrones, in the writing style and the way it follows multiple timelines, simultaneously. I was curious how the author would be able to bring all these diverse characters together, to make it blend seamlessly and not feel awkward, and found I was enjoying THAT mystery as much as the book itself! Not a light read for the average reader, but I found myself indulged and wanting to know what happened next, and to who! I was pleasantly surprised, as Sci-Fi is not my typical choice of genre, and cannot wait to dive into part two, Journeys Through TimeSpace! I think this one deserves a 5 star, it is not easy to have so many complex personalities that are so well written!

Dark Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells. This author never lets me down. Each book I get to read is better than the last. Sam and Ellie may have seriously stolen my heart with their story. From page one I was drawn in and couldn’t put the book down. I loved the time I got to spend with these characters, they had a way of bringing the storyline to life and it was an honor to read. I love books with characters who go through what would break others but makes them stronger. This book fit that completely. This is definitely going in the top 5 of favorite reads for this year. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended! So excited for more from this amazing author!

Loving this second book in the Masters of the Consulate series. The author just has a way with her writing that I can’t get enough of! They’re fairly short books, but they all get right to the action without skipping out on any important details. Master Tuscano and Delilah’s steamy relationship evolves and deepens beautifully throughout the story. I also love the introduction of other mythical creatures, such as witches and ghouls. Keeps you on your toes. Must read!

This is my first book by C.R. Robertson and I truly enjoyed it. Its a first time read that did not disappoint. This book is original, well thought, adventurous, and packed full of amazing characters. Tasha a Vampire and Levi a Lycan are complete opposites and sworn enemies. A chance encounter leads to irrefutable attraction that leads them into dark and dangerous territory as their relationship and love is punishable by death. This story will enrapture you from start to finish and wishing for your own paranormal fated romance. Throw in the mystery, suspense, steam, and fantasy lore and you have the perfect mix.

So I kind of read So Close by Renee Regent and the rest of the Love Grows Series in an unorthodox way. Not in order and all over the place! I encourage you to read all of them, however you don’t have to read them in order! This story in particular is about Dahlia(who we meet in book #1), a woman who has worked hard to be where she is today, but also has been broken by her ex-husband Trey and her ex-bestfriend Levi. She cut Levi out of her life that is until she became general manager of Riverbank Lodge. Dahlia and Levi were tasked to spear-head a project, to reinvent the patio/clubhouse area in 6 weeks time to celebrate Riverbank Lodges 5 year anniversary. With betrayal come animosity that Dahlia has to learn to put behind her to see this project to success. Along the way Levi starts to break her exterior of hatred she’s had towards him the last 7 years. Are you someone who likes a story of overcoming obstacles in life for true love? If so, then this book is ABSOLUTELY for you! A gripping novel loaded with cheating, passion, and betrayal will keep you turning pages to find out what happens for Dahlia? What Happens with Levi? Where does the ex-husband Trey fall into all of this? Does Dahlia drop her walls for a chance at forever love? Renee Regent doesn’t disappoint with another story that keeps you wanting more! To have those questions above answered as well as others you may have, you need to dig in and read it till the end. Possibly in one sitting!

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set 1: 3 Cozy Christian Mysteries by K.L. Montgomery is a brilliant collection of books by an incredible author. Everything about these books is entertaining. They are all pretty easy books to read but each one is so much fun. I love the main character in the books. She has such a great personality and she is one of those characters that is so easy to connect with. If you aren’t yet familiar with this author then I cannot stress enough how much yob need to change that immediately. Everything she writes is absolutely brilliant, to the extent that I don’t even bother to read the book descriptions anymore. Her writing style is strong and she really knows how to bring the best out of every storyline. This is a fantastic series that I would highly recommend.
This was a first for me by Coreene Callahan, so I had no clue what to expect. I’ve been on a huge fantasy kick lately, so thought I would give this a go. I think my absolute favorite part about this book was how descriptive it was. The scenes were really laid out beautifully, and I loved that. You don’t get a whole lot of Sveld and Natalie together, but what you do get is packed full of sweet AND spicy.

The Marcy Series Box Set: Books 1-3 by Linda J Burson 4 Stars!!!!
I have to say that this is a great series. I have read the whole lot and it is definitely a great read. Marcy has a very complicated life but one does get drawn in and lost in it. I lile how the author has taken and handled the subject. There is just enough drama in the story.
I really like how the story unfolds in each consecutive book and how it all entwines the whole story together. This is a great way to get started with this series. I definitely would read more from this author.

If you don’t laugh and cry while reading this story I’m sorry to say there is a problem with you dear fellow reader.
I do so enjoy a book that makes me feel all the things. Let’s just say there were tears: of joy, grief, and shared remorse for time/love lost and growth.
The book itself was wonderful, but I think my favorite part was actually a new perspective I gained for medical personnel. They are amazing people: the training, the trauma, the pressure, danger, and stress, it is all so overwhelming to even comprehend; they truly are unsung heroes; and this book did a fine job highlighting the ups and downs of health workers.

WOW! This is an amazing read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I expected it to be a tearful book, given the subject matter, but there was so much more laughter and enjoyment that I wasn’t expecting. There are some bittersweet moments for sure, but the love and adventures are what I am taking away from this book. The characters are so real, I feel like I know them. The motley cast of Diers that were thrown together for their trip come from all walks of life, and seeing the way they bonded was inspiring and uplifting. Packard is a fantastic writer, who writes with heart, empathy, and courage. If you are considering reading this book, DO IT!
