I loved this book so much! The storyline was great and I loved the characters. In just one shop I was transported back to the 80’s and all the memories of things I or my family owned! I’m pretty sure I still have my cabbage patch doll somewhere! I love a good rom com story and this one was definitely one of my favourites! I could definitely imagine this book being made into a film – one I would definitely watch. There was definite instant attraction between Blaine and Eric, and although pretty fast it didn’t feel forced and I enjoyed seeing this evolve over the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would highly recommend it to other readers.

Cruel King is a very awesome read, I could not put it down. The main characters are very well developed. The reader can really relate to what the characters are going through in the story. The story does flow well and is very easy to follow. If you want a good romance novel to read, this is it!! I highly recommend it.

Softest touch was an enjoyable slow burn romance. It has the element of a forbidden relationship (employer and employee), there is an element of enemies to lovers as well as chemistry and finding love when you least expect it. The author does an amazing job with the main characters making them both deep and connectable. This is a story about 2 people from different worlds coming together and even though everything say it should work they are actually perfect for each other. Derek hires Melinda to be his personal assistant. Both of them are stubborn individuals, Derek is a workaholic and Melinda is determined to prove she can succeed in a male dominated environment. At first they don’t get on, their stubbornness means they butt heads with each other however the closer they work together the chemistry starts to build and they can’t deny their feelings for each other. Things aren’t straight forward though and there are problems and roadblocks in their way. When Melinda has to deal with family issues, I was really surprised at how supportive Derek became.
Overall this romance was really enjoyable to read. The characters were well written and easy to relate to. They were easy to like and they make you feel invested in their story and their romance.

It is hard to qualify what this book really is. It is a part of the Hawke Saga. It is a story of love, family and friendship. It is also about breaking down walls within ourselves to allow the true us to be. It is about realizing that blood doesn’t make you family, feelings make you family.
Jude has more secrets than he can count. Some he shared with his best friend since they were 10, Alessi or Al. Some he has never told anyone, and he has no plans to. One secret that is bubbling to the top is his love, his obsession with the only woman he has ever had those kinds of feelings for, Angie. On the top of the list of problems of a chance at a relationship with Angie is that she is Alessi’s sister. Sure, there is a 12 year age age but that shouldn’t be an issue. The issue is that she is family.
Angelina or Angie has experienced a lot of loss in her life, starting with her father when she was 5. So to avoid that kind of feeling as an adult, Angie has blocked herself off from relationships. She has her sister, her cousins, the rest of her family and Jude. Although she avoids being around Jude because of the pull she feels towards him, Angie knows that he is always there.
Right now, Angie and Jude must come together to determine what is going on with Alessi. Alessi has been MIA several days, lying, avoiding conversations, coming in late to work and overall not being herself. As Angie and Jude band together to figure out what is going on with Alessi, the pull that they feel towards each other gets harder to resist. Is being together worth the risk of recrimination from the family and possibly losing the relationship with Alessi? Can Angie and Jude figure out what is going on with Alessi and help her?
I want a chair with my name on it at Nana’s table. This family is awesome, full of love and support. They might disagree or even argue but they are always there for each other when the coffee spills or secrets need to be buried. Beautiful. Wonderful. Steamy! I didn’t want it to end.

Softest Touch by Adina D. Grey is a sweet contemporary workplace romance with a bit of a billionaire romance element, a forbidden relationship (boss/employee), different worlds connecting, opposites attract, chemistry, spice, challenges, a little drama, banter, and finding love unexpectedly. Derek and Melinda may not have gotten off to a very ‘smooth’ start, but working together soon has their chemistry simmering below the surface, and before too long begins to bubble over- and things take an ‘interesting’ turn… They may not realise at the start, but they are perfect for each other I really enjoyed this book, being my first read by Ms. Grey, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories- but the blurb engaged my curiosity, and so I took a leap of faith and snapped up a copy and set off to explore. And I am so glad I did, as I enjoyed the story even more than I was hoping for. I will definitely be adding Ms. Grey to my reading list and am looking forward to exploring all her other works, too. • Cruel King is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down until you finish. This is an Enemies to Lover’s/ Second Chance Romance that was intense at times. That is until she finds herself trapped in a snowstorm for two days. Five years have passed and now he’s back because his father I is dying. A lot has happened in five years but him being a jerk has not. She never forgot him or there time together but now she’s with someone else. He wants to hate her but he can’t. These two holy cow do they have chemistry? I truly disliked Matthias until I learned more about him. Can these two have a relationship they both want and deserve? Oh my goodness I LOVED this book! I was a kid in the 80’s and I loved every single page. There was so much talk of 80’s movies, music, toys, and games that it took me back to my childhood. The main character, Blaine, is lovable from the beginning. She is an independent and strong business owner who has made some great friends with the other shop owners in her strip mall. She runs a shop that belonged to her mom and that she grew up in that was dedicated to all things 80’s. The strip mall is supposed to be bought by a huge construction company so they can build a new brewery. When she meets one of the Morales clan she thinks he is an intern, not the one in charge. Eric Morales is hoping this job, his first big job on his own, goes smoothly so he can become a partner in the family company. Eric and Blaine end up making a bet – she needs to convince him that her company is worth saving and she only has one month. Blaine ends up planning some really fun 80’s outings to convince Eric, but it is hard to keep it just business as they start hanging out and getting to know each other. 5 stars!

Skin warming intensity. Once again, Sylvia Black temps you into the dark world of Italy’s under dwellers of the night. Campania is the master of the southwest part of Italy, where in most of the clubs all mingle together in peace, each respecting the lifestyles of the other. The story picks up essentially where it left off at the end of book six Master Calabrea. Knowing a book will have a happy ending honestly pulls me in more than anything, knowing I will have that satisfaction at the end. I eagerly await the next instalment of the Masters of the Consulate series with book eight, Master Sardinia, October 19th, 2023.

This book definitely had me in my feelings. In the beginning I disliked Matthias a lot and I couldn’t believe that Ava gave in so easily to him. Later in the story I just wanted Matthias to find happiness with Ava. There is so much drama, hurt, anger, misunderstanding, family, friends and so much more. I didn’t even know how to feel about Ava and Theo, it just felt so wrong after the incredible couple of days Ava and Matthias spent together. There are a couple of twists and turns in this story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and the author’s writing style. I look forward to reading more books by this author. I highly recommend this book.

Leaving No Traces: An Italian Murder Mystery is the fifth book in A Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome. Though this can be read as a standalone book, I recommend reading the other books in the series. Scala is back and brought into the relationships of a woman who has gone missing. Nothing is as it appears, and there is more than a web of lies and deceit. The story keeps you reading, trying to figure out all the ways the story could go. It was riveting and kept my attention. I enjoy the character of Scala and enjoy learning more about him as the series is progressing. He is determined to find the pieces of the puzzle and put it all together before it is too late. Also, Rome brings an extra layer to the story with history and old-world atmosphere. I look forward to grabbing these books and look forward to reading more from this author soon.

Wow, this book is very surprising and needed in so many ways. Rebecca the main character has an issue, she can’t seem to have satisfaction when being intimate. To the point one of her boyfriends calls her the ice queen. Rebecca feels like she’s broken. The story takes Rebecca on a direction she didn’t expect, a group of doctors trying to help women to realize their full capacity in the bedroom. I cheered for Rebecca when she stood up to those doctors and walked out of the room. Her quest to find satisfaction actually brings her to find her inner strength she’s been hiding!

I really enjoyed this book and the characters. Elan and Arwyn’s interactions had me laughing, and even though this is a fated-mates book, I liked that the characters still got to know each other before they realized they were fated, and then still made an effort afterwards to continue getting to know each other.

I feel like I’ve taken a walk back through time with this novel! I had so much fun reading about Blaine’s store with all her retro clothing, clothes, music, and more! It’s the kind of store I’d visit and spend hours in just remembering the “good ole days” of my childhood.
Blaine inherited this awesome store from her mother and she’s super proud of all her accomplishments with it. One day, JT, the hairstylist next door in the strip mall, comes to deliver some bad news though. The mall has been bought and is scheduled for demolition. Everyone must be out and there’s not much time.
Blaine, not one to back down from a challenge, makes a point to be present when the land developer crew walks through for a final inspection. Eric is in awe of her store but is really gunning for that title of partner in the family business. After meeting Blaine, Eric isn’t so sure about these plans now. Then Blaine issues a bet that Eric can’t pass up.
This is a fun read that transported me back in time, even if just for a few hours. I loved all the references to the time honored traditions of the 80’s and even had a few great memories myself reliving this fun era of time.

This is definitely one of my top 5 favorite books of the year so far! I did read this as a standalone as my first book by this author, and I feel like I followed along just fine because there is plenty of background given. I was so blown away by this book though, I am going back to pick up all the previous books related to this one and probably a few more because this author is AMAZING. The story flows flawlessly, the details are provided with such art that it paints a beautifully vivid picture, and you’re instantly transported to a completely different world. Do yourself a favor and pick up this magnificently spicy, fantasy love adventure, you won’t regret it!

This is part of the Darkness & Light Duology and the Love Bites series. I’ve not read any of the previous books but feel this is okay to read as a standalone as key information was given and the central story appeared unique to these characters.
If you are not into books which feature more than two people in a relationship, this is not the book for you.
I enjoyed the world which was built around the characters, it was easy to fall into alongside the characters. The characters themselves are well-constructed, the mannerisms matching the personalities and actions. They’re strong characters with possessive streaks in them and the added element of forbidden love heightens the chemistry between them.
I admit I was a little apprehensive prior to reading as sometimes the multi-way love dynamic can fall a bit flat, but it worked well here and you can’t help but root for their happiness.

WOW!! This is my first book by this author, and what an intense way to dip my toe in! I didn’t even feel myself finding the groove of this book, I just dove right in, and the author swept me away immediately. I couldn’t put it down and found myself staying up late to see what happened next just to find myself twisting and turning in the story. The characters will have you at the edge of your seat, yelling at the book, and rolling your eyes all while tugging at your heartstrings. The amount of tension and chemistry in this story is astounding, and I thought it was written incredibly well to make you feel each of those emotions as your own. I won’t give anything away, but you will absolutely be clamoring for more from this author after finishing this book!
Pryderi, Elan and Arwyn have known each other their whole lives, they have grown up together and become Watchers together and keep their clan safe together, they also made an oath in their youth which at the time seemed the right thing to do, but as they have grown up, their feelings towards each other are no longer the same. Pryderi has found his soul mate and after coming back from his honeymoon, the three find that things aren’t the same between them, but they try and put that right by having a guys night in, complete with the illicit food, drink and music they have to keep hidden away, thanks to the clan not appreciating it.
Although they are both happy for Pryderi, Elan and Arwyn are struggling with their feelings for each other, they feel things which they shouldn’t and know it, but still they can’t bring themselves to do anything about it and risk hurting the other or their friendship, it is what they value above all else, but that is becoming harder to maintain and it is causing both of them to become antsy and withdrawn, this leads their friends to worry about them.
Meanwhile, Pryderi’s mate has travelled to another clan and has brought someone back with her, a new male from a widely different life and when he is introduced to theirs, it is a bit of a culture shock to say the least, not to mention that he has been used to hiding himself away in more ways than one. Elan is chosen to show him the ropes and slowly help him integrate into clan life, but neither can deny that they are attracted to the other and Arwyn is feeling a little left out, so he decides to spend some time with the exotic new male and again, the two cannot deny their attraction to each other and this complicates things.
Will Elan, Arwyn and this new spicy male finally bring down the barriers and allow them to experience the things they long for the most, or will those barriers break down and destroy the lives they have built for themselves forever? This is a fantasy romance with foul language and spicy content throughout which will leave you breathless as the thoughts and feelings whirling around these Elinefae and their way of life and leave you wanting to find out what happens next.

Fortune’s Favorite is the second book in the Soulbound Journeys series, which follows on from the Crown of Stones trilogy. It expands the world of the Crown of Stones as Ian Troy travels encountering new places and learning more about the world and himself. I’d recommend at least reading The Wandering Isles first, that’s a good entry point.
In Fortune’s Favorite Troy encounters evidence of the Shinree, his people. He’s lured in by a desire to learn more about this branch of history, isolated from the world he was born into. The readers, too, are drawn in by our curiosity.
While The Wandering Isles developed the relationship between Kane and Troy, Fortune’s Favorite pushes them apart. Mundane quarrels and increased distance are followed by division and fighting.
This is another five star read. I loved the Crown of Stones trilogy and these new Soulbound Journeys books are expanding the story and the world in wonderful and fascinating ways! I’d recommend this to fans of epic fantasy.

Well this was an unexpected and emotional story. I went into this book expecting a fun and entertaining story (which we got) but I didn’t expect to be emotionally invested in the characters, specifically Liz, and her journey. I thought thr author navigated you through it brilliantly and it made me connect with the book even more. This is still a pretty new author to me but stories like this definitely make me want to read more. This was well written and fun and I enjoyed going along for the ride.

I though the main chataracters had a great chemistry between them. It was relatable and easy to connect with. I found their story amusing and enjoyed getting to know them. This author has created a strong series that is fun and interesting to read. Each book is different and thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to reading more.

Wonderful book! I love that this touches on anxiety, especially in children. There is nothing to be ashamed of in having anxiety, but learning of ways to help yourself fight through it and cope is amazing. I love the square breathing technique and think I will actually try it out myself whenever I start feeling anxious. It is nice to see that Lilly uses her newly learned techniques while outside of her house to handle her heebie jeebies, but can still hang onto Hun Bun as her lifeline at home. The artwork in this book is so cute, Lilly’s sad face made me want to cry too.
I really enjoyed this paranormal romance. This is part of a series, however it can be read as a standalone and the author does a great recap at the start of the book bringing the reader up to date with the characters that appear in this story. This is a male Triad story about fated mates. The men are strong and possessive and when they find their mates that increases. I love a story about fated mates where there is no choice but to acknowledge you are meant to be together.
Arwyn and Elan have been friends for years and made an agreement that there would never be anything more than friendship between them. However things start to change with their 3rd friend Pryderi finds his fated mate. Now it’s just the two of them they need to adjust to this new way of living along with the new feelings that are suddenly becoming harder and harder to fight and the pair find themselves struggling with this torture. When Keira comes back from an mission she brings another guy back with her. When it becomes clear that Hassan and Elan are fated mates it sends Arwyn into madness and a sense of grief as he feels he has lost his chance to be with the only man he’s ever wanted.
As the story progresses we see the bond between Hassan, Arwyn and Elan grow until they realise that they are all fated to be with each other and their triad is born. This is an emotional magical story about finding love and learning to follow your heart. This story is action packed and emotional as both Arwyn and Elan come to terms with their feelings for each other and for Hassan.
This is a magical read with Suspense, magic, kidnapping, angst, an emotional rollercaster and steam. The author does an amazing job of creating a unique world and a unique fated mate story. As a reader I was captivated by this story and I felt I knew the characters like friends. I shared all their laughter and tears and felt like I was willing them to find their happy ever after.

This book was a quick read for me. It was hard for me to stay connected with to it. I had a hard time connecting to the characters. I thought some of the plot topics were good. I would read more by this author.

Wyatt Tompkins has had one too many bad days. His PR team has had their work cut out for them with all his antics, but Serena Lambert has become a pro over the years at spinning things in a better light. Wyatt’s only goal is to be a goalie in the big leagues, but he is currently swimming in the minors. Serena is the only one who can help him climb back to the top. Will she be willing to help him? Even though she has only ever seen him in a bad light he does seem to be a changed man. This was a good book. I think I have read one or two others in this series but I will definitely be reading the rest. The author put together a great cast of character who showed a lot of development. I can’t wait to dive into the other books in the series.

I was so excited to get to read the latest story in this series. I love that they are all standalones, but if you can read them all and in order, it definitely is worth it! We find Master Campania working with the other Masters to deal with the rogues who are still causing trouble. He ends up meeting Willow, a witch just trying to live her life with some of her buddies and they end up having to work together. The chemistry between the two was electric and it was fantastic getting to see the reoccurring characters from other stories continue to be a part of the narrative, just enhances it. I loved how the characters interacted with one another and continued to build the relationships into the story. It was definitely full of action, adventure, and magic along with some very steamy scenes that you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait for the final book and see the stunning conclusion!

The Ring of Eagna is book # 4 in this series…I highly recommend reading this series in order and this story gives me adventure, intrigue, danger, magic and with twists and turn that I love.
Ciaran and Aodhan, upon finding a manuscript from long ago, it is told there is three rings to access a ancient treasure. Knowing that Ciaran and Aodhan have two of the rings, they venture off to find the third ring…what can be so hard to find….but danger lurks are they are not the only two that are after this ancient treasure and trying to find the three rings to unlock….but will Ciaran and Aodhan stay safe while trying to hunt for the third ring?
This is a very good story that kept me on edge on what will happen next!!

This is book # 3 in this series and I do highly recommend reading these books in order….this is a very good series. The author really captures the time period and I feel like I am part of it. Mystery, intrigue, secrets, romance and suspense all wrapped up in to a great story.
As Ciaran is settling he is ready to move on from his past. With twins on the way and Ciaran becoming a father, dreams are starting to plaque him. Imminent threat is upon him as his dreams show that Ruadhán is going to take his twins away…..will Ciaran be able to keep his family safe or will he be to late…
This is a very good continuation of the series..looking forward to more!!

This was a great 5 star read. I have really enjoyed this series and family from the first generation. I was pulled in right from the beginning with the author’s writing. I was done before I knew it. I really enjoyed the characters and their story, Jude got my heart pretty much from the start. My emotions were all over the place, I will warn that there could be some triggers for some as well. This genre is one of my favorites and it definitely does not disappoint. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. If you enjoy age gap romance with a dark side, 1-click and get started today. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
