This book was great! I couldn’t put it down. This suspenseful mystery kept me on the edge of my seat and by the end of it my heart was going a million miles a minute. Our MC is awesome! Witty and smart she kept me entertained through the whole book. I am looking forward to reading more by this author!

I couldn’t put it down till the end because I had to know what happens next. Ellie is a woman who has given up her live in London for the man of her dreams Johan. She’s a investigative reporter. She finds herself in a investigation after finding a half decomposed skeleton. What will she find in her investigation? Does he know more than he’s telling? Find out in this thrilling must read. Behind Blue Eyes by C.S. Duffy is the first book in the Stockholm Murders series. Be ready for a roller coaster of a story. I was drawn into the story and didn’t want to put this thriller down. Set in Sweden where Ellie has newly moved she is drawn into intrigue and mystery. Whom can she trust? This is a gem of a book and I’m so glad I picked it up. I haven’t read a thriller like this since The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. This had me second guessing characters and had me relating to Ellie and what she has been plunged into. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in this series.

There is nothing like reading a book and while you are reading all of the hair on your neck is standing on end the entire time. C.S. Duffy’s Behind Blue Eyes is just that, a supreme psychological thriller. The story had me turning the pages so fast because I could not wait to see what was coming next. I went on so many twists and turns that I needed to anchor myself because I did not want to miss what was coming up on the next twist. The story is about Ellie who left London to follow the man of her dreams. She gets involved in a murder investigation by accident and cannot speak the language in Sweden. She uses caution as she is not sure who to trust. What appears one way may only be on the surface and not apart of the meat of the situation . Will Ellie figure out what is going on? Will the man of her dreams has a different side to him? Hang on to your seats as you read Behind Blue Eyes.

By CS Duffy. This book was everything I was looking for. The author kept me on the edge of my seat, heart pounding and mind boggled and I loved every single minute of it. This was a new to me author and now I can’t wait to have more! The incredible storyline is written with such attention to details and with characters I won’t be forgetting any time soon! From the heart racing moments to the what’s about to happen moments I was completely hooked from start to finish. I love a book that keeps me guessing and this author did it perfectly! I’m so excited for more and can’t wait! Five huge stars all the way and I with the highest recommendation I can give tell you to not miss this book or this author!

Behind Blue Eyes by C.S. Duffy is the first book in the Stockholm Murders Series and it is off to a good start. It is a who’s done it story that has plenty of mystery, murder and mayhem and has you trying to help find the killer even though you hear from the killer themselves. It is a psychological thriller which is paired with humour, black humour but humour none the less. The plot is well written and well thought out, making it a very interesting and intriguing read.
Ellie James is an investigative reporter and has left behind her life in London to follow love to Sweden. Johan is her love but maybe, just maybe she doesn’t know him as well as she thought.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Behind Blue Eyes by CS Duffy is the first book in the Stockholm Murders series. I love a good mystery every now and again to change things up and I’m glad this was the one I picked. There were twists and turns and it kept me guessing until the very end.
Ellie’s new life in Sweden ends up being so much more than she could have ever anticipated. She expected to get settled with her boyfriend Johan, meet people, find friends and get a job. That wasn’t exactly what happened. She discovers a bunch of random deaths and needs to know more.
I really had a hard time putting this book down, especially the last third of the book when the mystery really started to heat up and caused me to second guess myself several times.
I will be keeping up with this series, I’m already trying to figure out when I will be reading the second book. Ms. Duffy is a new to me author, but now that I have found her I plan on reading more.

I love finding a new author’s books to love and I think I have definitely found that with C.S. Duffy! I wasn’t sure what to expect with Behind Blue Eyes, it’s not my usual kind of read but there was just something about the blurb that made me want to pick it up and I am so glad that I did! I found the story and the characters really captivating and I really enjoyed reading a story set in completely different country to what I have read previously. The pace and flow of the story was great, I read it in one sitting and I was actually a little disappointed when I finished. Behind Blue Eyes is one of those stories where you are so engrossed that you feel like you are trying to solve what is going on along with the characters! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author and series in the future! A great 4 star read that I highly recommend!

Behind Blue Eyes was a good 4 star read and book one in the Stockholm Murders series. Once I started I was pulled right in.
Ellie has an interesting job, she is an investigative reporter. She decides to move to Sweden with her boyfriend, leaving everything behind.
While at a barbeque she decides to go for a walk on the beach. This is where things take a twist and she comes across a body. Ellie’s boyfriend acted a little mysterious about the body, was he involved? If not, does he know who was? Will Ellie be able to solve the mystery?
There is so much more to this great read, but I don’t want to give anything away.
I love a book that keeps you guessing until the very end, this one didn’t disappoint. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We also get to see what the killer is thinking at times. We get lots of suspense, mystery and so much more. Ellie was a strong character, I really enjoyed her. This was a great start to the series and I can’t wait to read more.

This is a wonderfully put together murder mystery. The author does a good job of laying the false and true tale at the same time. They characters were interesting, likable and unlikable at the same time. The story flowed fairly well. It kept me wanting to know more so i read this fairly quickly.
This had to be tough on Ellie. Moving to a new place, learning their customs and not really having the support of her main squeeze. I agreed with many of her actions but I would not put up with the rudeness that followed. It would have been “London here I come!” The other characters were the likable and unlikable kind. Maybe aloof would be a better term. Cool to Ellie but super friendly to Johan. While I didn’t love them they added to the story moving along at a good pace.
The ending was stuff nightmares are made of. I was cringing and, OK I’m am just going to say it….shocked. I am definitely “in” for the next book because who knows what will happen now.
My only complaint would be at the beginning chapters is to say who is giving their POV of the story. The first few chapters were a struggle for me because I wasn’t sure who was talking and what tense (present, past) we were in. I guess as the book moved on it became mostly clear who was telling the story.

CS Duffy has written this rollercoaster of a ride story. Her characters are well fit for their part in the book. This is a fast moving page turner. Once your in, you can’t put it down. I feel the best part of this story, is never knowing what will happen next. The suspense is well packed and ever changing. Book 2 can only go up from here. I’m looking forward to reading book 2 as well as any other book written by CS Duffy. Well done CS Duffy! Well done!!!

Behind Blue Eyes was adventurous and mysterious. Ellie moves to Sweden with her boyfriend Johan and gets wrapped up in shelving murders. She discovers that there may be a serial killer within their midst after finding the body of her boyfriends ex. It cant be him though, they are too perfect together.
I really enjoyed this excellent novel. It was an easy read with a catchy storyline. I loved the scenery and character development. It was creative and invigorating. I thought I had the murder pegged but I was surprised at the end. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Behind Blue Eyes is the first book in the Stockholm Murders series by C. S. Duffy. It’s a really gripping thriller that will suck you right onto the story from the onset. At one time this was my favourite genre but I have strayed away recently. After reading this book, I’ll definitely be reading more thrillers. I had never read any of this author’s work but I’m pretty sure i’ll be reading more of it.
The plot of this book will have you gripped throughout. Just when you think you have the story worked out, the author takes you in a new direction that has your head spinning.
Ellie has moved to Sweden to be with Johan, the love of her life. She doesn’t know the language or anything about Swedish culture. Soon after her arrival, she discovers a dead body on the beach. This body just happens to be Johan’s missing, presumed dead, former girlfriend. Ellie’s world is turned upside down. Is Johan a killer? When Ellie starts to dig a bit deeper, she discovers several unusual unexplained deaths in the area in recent years. Is there a serial killer in their midst?
I thoroughly loved this story, the characters were so well written and the plot nicely intricated to keep you hooked. I look forward to reading the next instalment in this series.

Behind Blue Eyes (Stockholm Murders Book 1) by CS Duffy was a heart clutching thriller, that had me hooked.
My first read by this author, and I went in hot. Man oh man, this book had me in knots, my nerves were shot, and it really gave me that punch gut ending I was hoping for. This book was full of twist, turns, ups, downs, and it has you second guessing everyone. I love books like this, no one likes to figure things out from the start. I love the MC, she was smart, witty and read well. I felt like she could have been a real person, who ran out of luck. I love how she brought her background in, and for me, she stole the show. The real kicker for me was the dark humour, it’s a weakness of mine, and for me, rounded out the crazy, and gave me some good chuckles before the madness started again. The detail of this read was on point, fresh, and pulled you into the setting. As well as, the characters were well rounded and believable.
Overall this book was top shelf, it pulls you in, captures you, and when things start to get hot you can’t put this book down until you know what’s going on, and the multi level mystery is solved. And this is where I leave you, in fear I will spoil this gem for you, so to end, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Umm, what did I just read!? This was amazing and I have no words. It’s been 2 days since i’ve finished this and i still can’t get over this book and can’t get my thoughts straight.
I can’t imagine moving to a new country where they speak a language I know nothing about. But that’s exactly what happens here and my goodness, despite her language barrier, it doesn’t stop her investigative mind from working double time.
I will say I had my suspicion and even though I was right, it was by sheer luck I was, as I stopped reading and looked.back at my notes. Yes I took notes as i wanted to figure this out to see if i was by chance correct lol.
This was so good and i cant wait to read the next, as it left me with many questions and I also just want more of these characters. What an amazing read!

WOW!! And Holy Crap….
I just finished this and my heart is still racing…What a book!!
I don’t even know where to start with this review, I do know that this book sits among my favorites so far in 2019, and in this genre definitely in my tops of all time.
There were times while reading I had to slow down and work through some things, this author plotted this story so perfectly and even when I’d get confused for some reason I knew it was for a reason and that it was building something I wasn’t aware of yet. I have whiplash of the brain, I had it all figured out so many times and then just like that I knew nothing.
I knew when I started this book that Ellie was going to be one of those characters you will never forget. I tried to imagine how she felt moving to a place where you know nobody and can’t even understand half of what is being said around you, and she did it all for love. I’ll admit Johan was awesome at times, but he more than ticked me off through most of this book and when you read it you will probably know the exact times Im talking about.
I worked hard right alongside Ellie in this book but the last quarter of this story I felt like a bulldozer running through these words. Good Lord this author even had me questioning the one person that couldn’t have had anything to do with it. I was a hot mess, and still kind of am.
That ending …cliffhanger but then not a cliffhanger…All I know is I must have the next book as soon as possible…I have a feeling Ellie is going to need me even more in the next book LOL
And I have to know what the future holds for these people..ALL of them!

Behind Blue Eyes is book one Stockholm Murders by CS Duffy. Having not sampled this authors work, I went in with a curiously open mind. I wasn’t let down. This story was quality and quantity.
Mystery and suspense is what surrounds Ellie when she finds herself in the thick of a murder investigation. I am a fan of thrillers, and Ellie and Johan provided me with everything I could wish for in a mystery. These characters have an edge that is captivating and the story captures the essence of suspense perfectly. The story moves along and a reader cannot help but be swept along for the ride. A thrilling read that ended too quickly. 4 stars.

Behind Blue Eyes by CS Duffy is the first book in the Stockholm Murders series. This book is an absolute thriller that will have you devouring it page by page.
I was vaguely familiar with this author before starting this book but I was not prepared from the absolute thrill ride the book took me on. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down. I just had to know what was going on, who was to blame and whether or not Johan was involved.
I really enjoyed the fact that the main character, Ellie, was so out of her depth while also being so in control. Being in a different, new country gave a much more complex element to it. She wasn’t familiar with the area, or the people or the language which made it much harder for her to find the truth.
This book is full of suspense. It has twists and turns that will keep you guessing. There isn’t a dull moment at all in this book and I can highly recommend everyone give this a go.

All I can say is when you start this book, you better sit down and hold on, its a wild ride! Its the story of Investigative Reporter Ellie who has packed up her life in London to move to Sweden to be with the man of her dreams Johan. She thinks she knows everything about Johan and that he’s the man for her. When she moves to Sweden she thinks her life is perfect until she stumbles over a decomposing body and gets thrown into the middle of a murder mystery in a Country where she knows no one and doesn’t even speak the language. She finds out that Johan and his friends may have a lot more information about the dead body than they are letting on. Will Ellie find out Johan and his friends are terrible people or will the truth of Johan’s past come out and set the record straight? This book reminded me of Gone Girl (which I loved) and I’m so excited its a series!

Oh my-freaking-lanta!! Where has CS Duffy been? I was completely new to the author when I picked up Behind Blue Eyes, but I can say that I will be devouring everything I can get my hands on with this lovely author’s name attached! This book totally took me on a whirlwind of a trip to Sweden. It gripped my attention from the very get-go and didn’t let go until the surprising ending. If you love fast-paced crime novels with a dash of mystery and dark comedy then you will want to grab this book as soon as possible. I am so thrilled to find out that this is book one in the Stockholm Murders series and that there will be more to come from these characters! I will be stalking like no other for book two to be released.
Behind Blue Eyes brings up to Sweden, like I previously mentioned, and we find Ellie a smart, sassy, and confident investigative reporter deeply embedded in a new environment and facing some pretty crazy mysteries surrounding a body. Not only is Ellie facing that she is trying to adjust to a completely new land. Previously from London, Sweden is all new territory for her. Will she be able to find her place among the new home, or will she find herself regretting everything? There are several layers to this book, but some will just give away too much goodies and I can’t bear to spoil this for anyone! Trust me you need this book in your life. Oh my freaking word. Seriously where have I been that I haven’t found this author before now?! Hands down what a thrilling literary journey I found myself on. I cannot put into words adequately how much I enjoyed this book. I get like I was white knuckled most of the time while reading. It was simply that good. Run as fast as you can and get a copy for yourself. You absolutely will not regret it.

I enjoyed my first book by this author, from start to finish. This is a psychological thriller that left me on the end edge of my seat through much of the book. A story of lies, secrets and suspense, worth picking up,you won’t regret it. Ellie has given up everything in her life for one man. But when she finds a body on the beach, she suspects people know more than what they are saying. What will happen when the love of her life is rumored to be the killer? I highly recommend this book.

London girl Ellie has met the man of her dreams. Johan is a Swedish god who seems to think she is his everything. So she gives up her life in London to move to Sweden with him. In a strange country, where she does not speak the language is quite a culture shock for her. But she has Johan. Or does she? His past seems much more shadowed than she thought. Plus his friends seem to be quite important to him. Not to mention the dead body Ellie finds. When it looks like Johan may be guilty, the investigative side of Ellie kicks in and she is determined to find the truth. Is he the man she can love or is she in a horrible nightmare?
This a great whodunit with the main character being someone in a strange land with strange (to her) people. Not to mention the romance side of things. You really feel for Ellie the entire time. And the author makes us question everything about everyone until the end. I love that in this type of book. The story is riveting and reminds you of an Agatha Christie novel. Ellie steps in as detective, questioning everyone, literally and figuratively. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read more in this series.
If you enjoy a good murder mystery with romance and suspense, I highly recommend this book.

Behind Blue Eyes by CS Duffy was a phenomenal thriller read! It’s the first book in the Stockholm Murders series and what a great start it is. It’s detailed, action-packed, twisted, unpredictable and had me completely shocked. It was a very entertaining read from start to finish as I was kept on my toes the whole way through as I tried to piece everything together in order to solve the mystery.
I loved the flow of the storyline and I was a huge fan of the different POV’s, it kept me highly intrigued the whole way through. Now that I’ve finished this book, I really look forward to reading more from this author and I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next thriller read! You won’t be disappointed!

It is one of those stories that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Ellie. She is an investigative reporter who has given up her life in London to be with the man of her dreams, Johan. After finding a half decomposed skeleton, she finds herself in an investigation. Does Johan know more about the body than what he is saying? What will Ellie find in her investigation? Read this book to find out. I felt like I was putting together a puzzle trying to figure out who the guilty party is. The story is brilliant and entertaining. Many of the additional characters that you read about are complex and mysterious. This is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I had finished the final page. There are intense situations and dialogue. Don’t miss out on a story that will keep you guessing. Highly recommended reading.
