Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) – Review by Melissa Agena

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you love short stories you will love this book! Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology is a book of short stories written by 12 amazing authors. I liked this book because of the multiple authors. Every story is written differently and the plots were definitely all different, but it all amounts to the same thing, Hot Steamy Romance! However, all the stories have a common scenario, which is that the romance blossoms inside high-rise buildings. That being said, all the stories are based in large metropolitan cities. Some of these stories will make you laugh and others will make you swoon. All the characters were wonderful. All the sexy scenes were on fire! I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every story. I couldn’t put this book down! I can’t say enough of how good this book is. I would definitely recommend it to all romance readers out there. These stories almost make me believe in romance fairytales.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology
by Hazel Storm, P.E. Kavanagh, Phoebe Alexander, Jodi Payne, Stella Williams, Lucy Eden, Jayce Ellis, Bree Kraemer, Aidy Award, Maida Malby, Moni Boyce, Emily Gray

This Anthology was a great 5 star read and a great opportunity to read a story from a new author or one of your favorites. These are two of my favorites from the collection.

THe 57th floor – Hazel Storm
This is Madelyn and Peter’s story. Madelyn is a matchmaker and her grandmother has set up a meeting for Madelyn to help Peter. After her grandmother has an accident she keeps the meeting with Peter. When they meet there are instant sparks but she has to keep it professional. Will they be able to resist the connection?

44th & Blue – Jody Payne
Benjamin gets a surprise when he meets the man finishing up the work on his new office space. Cole, who at the time was just a hookup but fate has other plans for them. Can these two have more than they thought?

Overall I really enjoyed all of the stories, we get a little bit of everything. I look forward to reading more from these authors. All of the characters were great. If you are looking for a great collection to read 1-click and get started today.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance AnthologyBig City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I ‘binge read’ this box set of contemporary romances which includes twelve standalone and full stories by twelve different amazing authors. The common theme was that each story was a romance set in the Big City, in particular in the city high-rises. The Anthology has stories about, “an exotic cocktail – billionaire, fakes, curvy women, older men, interracial, LGBTQ, straight, office, mafia, and much, much more”. The stories in this anthology are: The 57th Floor by Hazel Storm, A Change of Plans by PE Kavanagh, A Hole by Phoebe Alexander, One Night with A Knight by Aidy Award, Jodi Payne’s 44th & Blue, Maida Malby’s Global City Tryst, and Felling Bechet by Stella Williams, also, The Wolf of Wall Street by Lucy Eden, Make Me Beg by Moni Boyce, Jayce Ellis’s Courtney, The Glass Tower by Emily Gray, and finally The Right Note by author Bree Kraemer. I like the fact that, “A portion of net proceeds goes to the Equal Justice Initiative”.
One story which stood out for me was from an author I enjoy reading, Phoebe Alexander. In ‘A Hole’, I loved the main characters, comedian Ace Bennett and Ella Craig, the lady he invites to his comedy show and who he dares that if he succeeds in making her laugh she had to have a drink with him. After lots of meddling from friends and a number of misunderstandings I was really cheering Ace and Ella on hoping they would get a happy ending. A lovely romance, a bit of drama and plenty of steamy scenes and a chemistry which sizzled off the page resulted in me reading the story in one sitting. Another story which stood out amongst all these enjoyable and engaging stories in the anthology was by a new author to me, Emily Gray. In ‘The Glass Tower’, Zel Thatcher has been imprisoned in a glass tower by his tyrannical uncle and longs for the day he can escape. Only his passion for music keeps him alive until music royalty Regina Prince comes into his life. Having heard an exquisite performance Regina goes searching for its source which leads her to Zel. Regina never imagined that she would discover someone like Zel whose heart sings just like hers does. However, Zel’s uncle is set in destroying the couples happily ever after. These two characters had instant attraction which really came across in the writing and I loved how their relationship developed and the plot had enough drama to keep me hooked and also plenty of romance to keep me happily turning the pages.
I thoroughly enjoyed each story in the anthology and although each story had its own differing amounts of drama they all had plenty of romance and lots of hot and steamy scenes.

This anthology has 12 stories by 12 authors and something for everybody. Some are shorter than others and some are prequels or side stories from an already established series, but I was able to follow along and enjoy the stories very well. Each brings its own level of heat, romance and drama and who could ask for anything better!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anthologies are my favorite! 12 stories with different authors. Some new to me and some not. This is the best way to get a taste of a new author.

These stories are set in…the big city…These stories are steamy. The characters are adventurous and daring. Starting at the top with The 57th Floor by Hazel Storm. What a cute and sexy story! Madelyn Harris is every parent’s dream child. Or in her case grandparent’s dream grandchild. Madelyn is a hard, dedicated worker. So dedicated that she doesn’t see what is right in front of her. Luckily Madelyn has her grandmother to help her. Another story that was fun to read is A Hole by Phoebe Alexander. How needs a reminder that friends are important? Ace’s friends are hilarious! I hope there are more stories about them! Ella and Ace are the victims of a misunderstanding. Hopefully those friends can help them figure it out.

Definitely recommend this anthology. These stories are easy and quick to read. Added bonus is that some of the proceeds go to a good cause!

I am not going to review all 12 stories as I’d be here for hours but instead have chosen to review my personal favourite from them and that is A Hole by Phoebe Alexander. I’ve been a huge fan of Phoebe Alexander’s work for a couple of years now and just knew that I was going to love reading A Hole.
The ‘A’ in A Hole is Ace, a comedian who has a massive crush on the bank teller in the building he works in but the thing is her friends has told her he’s an A hole! But is he really?
This is a funny, hot steamy romance that I’m sure you’ll love if that’s the kind of book you enjoy. It is a novella so it’s not a long drawn out story. It’s fast and flows well and I can guarantee that you’ll be hooked to Ace and Ella’s story.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) is a collection of twelve short stories by some pretty amazing authors. There’s something for everyone in this set of stories. All the stories are well written and the characters are fun and realistic. My favorite story was A Hole by Phoebe Alexander. A Hole is a fun short story about a comedian who may have been mistaken for someone else. He has his eye on a particular bank teller. Will she say yes and go out with Ace? What will happen when the truth comes out out? If you like Romance and hot and steamy Romance , I highly recommend reading this Anthology. I mean who doesn’t love a great Anthology? There was a couple authors that were new to me and I’m definitely going to be checking out more books from them.

One of my favourites has to the A Hole by Pheobe Alexander. This is one of my favourite authors and this story didn’t disappoint.

What I really like is the stories are short enough that it allows you to sample new authors.

This is a gift from the world of Anthologies. Each story is short, and I was able to read a few new authors which next to reading favorites is one of my favorite things about an anthology.

Reviewing a couple of my favorites from the entire collection.

A Hole by Phoebe Alexander

5 Stars

This was a fun quick read and keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next. It’s the first in a new series by Phoebe Alexander and I already can’t wait to read the rest of them, especially if it continues on with the different characters that are in this one. While I normally prefer a longer book with more meat to the story this one had everything needed to feel the connection that formed and also with the inner dialogue for each of the main characters I was able to understand each of them. I laughed out loud more than once while reading and really hope Ace and Ella show up in the next story as well so we can see how they are doing.

The Right Note by BREE KRAEMER

5 Stars

Awwww, this was such a sweet read, fast moving and I finished it in less than 30 minutes. Henry and Eliza and their story was awesome, although everything happened quickly it still felt as though I got everything I needed to feel the connection growing between these two. I loved the relationship between Eliza and Nathan and laughed out loud during their conversations. I would have loved a longer story with these two but am happy with what I got. I love Bree Kraemer and will always be one of the first in line to read her books

Do yourself a favor and one click this collection of amazing short stories. You will be glad you did.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) – Review by Angela Hayes

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance AnthologyBig City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology is an enthralling collection of twelve stories from twelve talented authors. There are a huge variety of stories here, from second chances, friends to lovers, Billionaire, Alpha Males, sister’s best friend, fantasy, contemporary, romantic suspense, new beginnings, mafia, and M/M. So, get comfortable and settle in for some wonderful reading, which will captivate you through every page. There is definitely something here for everyone- you are sure to love this collection as much as I have!

This collection contains:

The 57th Floor: by Hazel Storm
What happens when an executive matchmaker arrives at a meeting with a new client only to find her own perfect match. The only problem is there is no mixing business with pleasure. He is a client. And now she has to find him his perfect match. Follow Madelyn and Peter as they bend a few rules. Will love win out in the end?

A Change of Plans: by P.E. Kavanagh
This is a ‘sisters’-best friend-romance’ with all the ingredients needed to make for a great read. Jonah has had a crush on his sisters’ best friend for as long as he can remember. Now see the sparks fly as a massive blizzard sees them stranded in a high-rise apartment together as they wait out the storm. Peter is determined to make the most of their time together to. It may be cold outside, but its definitely hot and steamy inside, as the blizzard rages.

A Hole: by Phoebe Alexander
In typical Phoebe Alexander style this story was hot, witty and very entertaining. Ace Bennett is trying to make a name for himself as a comedian. Then he meets Ella and we watch as he tries to win her over. Add some meddling friends to the mix, a few misunderstandings, a little angst, some humour, and a whole lot of heat- really made for a fun read.

The Wolf of Wall Street: by Lucy Eden
Aurora Douglas (Rory) knew the ruthless reputation of her new boss CEO Luis Pine, but she is about to discover just what a beast he is, in every sense of the word. This is a paranormal romance with an alpha male wolf shifter who finds his fated mate in Rory. With off the charts chemistry, keeping things professional was always going to be difficult. But having fate at play, as well as a little drama, some angst, and emotion- gave this story an interesting spin.

One Night with A Knight: by Aidy Award
“I hadn’t told anyone I’d gotten a waitressing gig at the grand re-opening of the infamous Asylum club. Some billionaire had bought it and was moving to the top floor of Cruz Tower…”
Camila (Mila) hasn’t had the best of luck lately, so a night out with friends is supposed to lift her spirits. Hudson is a star player with the New York Knights enjoying time at the Asylum Club with his teammates. Hudson and Camila have a history together and this story is about second chances and how one night can change everything.

44th & Blue: by Jodi Payne
Cole and Ben met at a club and have been hooking up ever since. But when Ben’s Law Firm moves into a new high-rise office, he never expected to discover Cole working on the final refurbishing touches. Ben doesn’t like complicated, as his life is perfectly compartmentalized for that very reason. He pushes Cole away- but Cole isn’t won’t go down without a fight. This is a fun, angsty, M/M romance with a touch of emotion that made for a great read.

Courtney: by Jayce Ellis
Courtney is a fashion photographer who has been working abroad finally arrives home after many years away. He intends to take time to relax and reconnect with life here. But things take an interesting turn when he meets Tracey. This is a sweet M/M romance about finding love unexpectedly.

The Right Note: by Bree Kraemer
I can always count on Bree Kraemer to deliver a captivating read, and that is definitely the case with this wonderful story. Eliza and Henry show how music can lead the way to love.

Felling Bechet: by Stella Williams
Sometime love sneaks up when you least expect it. Bechet and Isis have a ‘no-strings-attached’ arrangement that seemed to be the perfect plan. But things take a complicated turn when Bechet takes a fall.

The Glass Tower: by Emily Gray
Love is a powerful force. But can it survive hostile pressure intent on destruction? A captivating story that had me flipping the pages to discover how everything would play out in the end.

Make Me Beg: by Moni Boyce
This is a great romantic suspense- an enemies to lovers mafia romance with all the elements I love to find in a captivating read. Sexy, steamy, intriguing, and dramatic.

Global City Tryst: by Maida Malby
Global City Trust is the prequel to Singapore Fling and is A Carpe Diem Chronicles Novelette by Maida Malby. This is my first read from Ms. Alby, s I really didn’t know what to expect going into the book. What I discovered was a sexy story about a torrid weekend fling that may be more than our MC’s Maddie and Aiden expected.

All the stories in this anthology are really quite wonderful and engrossing- with superb plots, interesting and endearing characters- and each story was well-written.
There are some funny, light-hearted and touching moments; some hot and spicy times; some dramatic developments and suspenseful moments- as well as some tender heart-melting romance. There is definitely something here to please everyone. It is worth every cent of the purchase price- 12 books for the price of one! Now that is a bargain!

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) is a collection of stories that will be sure to get your blood pumping! With a great selection of authors to choose from each and everyone of these stories brings something different to the anthology as a whole.
I liked the fact that with this anthology I got a mix of authors I was familiar with as well as ones I hadn’t read before. It meant that I knew going into it I would like at least some of the stories but it also gave the excitement of discovering new authors. Each book was different from the rest so it was easy to keep track of each of the individual stories. I liked the fact that I could pick it up and put it down between books without it feeling like it broke the overall feeling this series gave me.
I enjoyed each of the books in this anthology to varying degrees and overall I would say this is well worth your time! I am looking forward to reading more by each of these authors.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set). This anthology was amazing. It was so hot that I seriously thought I might overheat at times! Every story was amazing about love, lust, and lots of hot sex in the big city! I loved A hole by Phoebe Alexander which is the story of Ace & Ella and miscommunication. Ella works at a bank in the same building that comedian Ace lives. He’s had a crush on Ella for a while and when he works up the nerve to ask her out she turns him down. He then invites her to his show and she reluctantly goes worried she will be the punchline. In Make Me Beg by Moni Boyce its a mob romance story which I love. Its the story of Teagan who is a nurse that is as ornery as she is sweet and Reid who is a “fixer” for the local mafia. When Teagan gets in hot water and gets a hit put out on her she and Reid meet and sparks fly. What will they do to settle the situation? Read this fun, sexy anthology as fast as you can. You won’t be disappointed!

This was a great Anthology but everyone has their favorites. Mine was none other then the amazing Phoebe Alexander with A Hole. This read was so cute, funny and swoon worthy. A Hole
Is about a comedian named Ace Bennett who has a crush on Ella Craig who is bank teller for a bank which happens to be on the same building as his apartment. He makes excuses to go into the bank and Ella knows it. Finally one day Ace gets up the nerve to ask her out but she turns him down. He then asks her to come to his comedy show and there is a bet made. Ella goes to the comedy show with an opinion about Ace she had gotten from her friends. She has a plan in place. She just wants to find out if he’s as good of a kisser and she is told. Sometimes you can’t believe everything you hear. Sometimes things don’t happen the way you think they do. What will happen with Ace and Ella. Is he really the A Hole she was warned he is?
Such a great story. Great main characters and of course the supporting actors were awesome too. I hope there are more reads coming with the rest of the characters.

This is a collection of short stories which will immerse you into each of the worlds for a few minutes and leave you wanting more.

The stories and authors are:

“A Hole” by Phoebe Alexander
“Asylum Club” by Aidy Award
“44th & Blue” by Jodi Payne
“Global City Tryst” by Maida Malby
“Felling Bechet” by Stella Williams
‘The Wolf of Wall Street” by Lucy Eden
“Make Me Beg” by Moni Boyce
“Courtney” by Jayce Ellis
“The Glass Tower” by Emily Gray
“The RIght Note” by Bree Kraemer

The collection held stories by authors I love and some authors which I have newly healthy appetite to read more. As i devoured theses stories there are a few which stuck out, A-Hole by Phoebe Alexander, The Wolf of Wall Street by Lucy Eden and Make me beg by Moni Bryce.

A-Hole by Phoebe Alexander – This story is full of humour and is a brilliant short story, the characters are well developed as usual and although this is a short story it does not feel like that, you want to know more. The story revolves around Ella and Ace, with him trying to make her laugh but with her insecurities on high alert as to will she be the butt of the joke.

The wolf of Wall Street by Lucy Eden – This story has a hint of paranormal vibe which is not really my genre but this story was full of deep emotion and a story which will have you turning the pages to finish.

Make me beg By Moni Bryce – This is a mob infested story, full of action and strong characters. It has a good build up and is exciting and I loved the character of Tegean and her internal struggle to love someone she should not love.

Each story has a different angle but is full of strong characters and great addition to my reading library.

Big City Heat an anthology that certainly does bring the heat. This is a great collection and I knew I had to check it out when I realised it had a couple of my favourite authors in it, and some that I had been eager to read as well. There hasn’t bee a story I haven’t enjoyed in this one, I love a good anthology where each author takes their own spin on the premise, its nice to see how each one has a different take. I really enjoyed the fact that there were a couple of M/M stories in this anthology, that surprised me in the best way possible, there was something special about this whole set, it wasn’t what I have come to expect from usual sets. Phoebe Alexander always brings us great characters and this one was no exception; it was really fun. But that wasn’t the only great story, the other standout for me was the Right Note, as it certainly brought the right note to me.

I have a soft spot in my heart for box sets, especially when they are to benefit a good cause like this one. Needless to say this will make the best little Holiday gift this year for several people on my list. I love when books of the same ideals are all grouped together and I can sit and divulge myself as much as I want without needing to search out each book.

Big City Heat has 12 wonderful authors featured with shorts that will blow you socks off and have you grabbing a tall glas of something on ice to cool down with. I have read previously a lot of these authors but also found some new gems to search out after this is done too, also a bonus of box sets. You often come away with more TBR’s in a short time span. (I know how everyone needs a longer TBR list lol.)

One of my favorite reads in this set was Phoebe Alexander’s A-Hole. It is a short and sweet as well as sassy and sexy read. It also gives us the platform for a new series I can’t wait to read as it comes from her. This book had me rolling with laughter as well as aching for some love and more. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series brings.

Below I will list all the books included and their author. I highly recommend you snag this lovely set and devour it for yourself. There isn’t one bad book in the bunch!

What a fantastic collection of stories from some well-known to me authors and few new ones. I was really excited to see a story from Bree Kraemer – I love her stories and haven’t read one for ages. I loved the variety in the storylines; each one was different but equally as entertaining.
I loved all of the books but the one which I loved the most (and it’s a difficult choice) was one night with a Knight – I adored the main character, I thought that she was really relatable. I also really enjoyed A Hole by Phoebe Alexander – she is absolutely one of my most favourite authors ever.
Overall I really enjoyed this set of short reads, they were all excellent and I highly recommend you one click this set today!

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) – Review by Kandy Garrett

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance AnthologyBig City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book1: The 57th Floor by Hazel Storm
What a story. I have just decided that maybe little short stories are for me! Whew!
There was enough room for characters to be loved, drama to ensue, and of course a flame to take over the pages. I need to know what else goes with this hot little story!

Book 2: A Change of Plans by PE Kavanagh
The next time I hear about a snowstorm in New York I will be wondering how many people are having sushi and champagne and if they are making their own Valentine’s Day plans work out!
This story was great and there was definitely enough in here to fall in love with the characters!

Book 3: A hole by Phoebe Alexander
Oh, man! Have you ever have that moment when you knew the entire conversation and what you thought about someone was simply miscommunication? This book is all about assumptions and thinking someone is talking about one person and it turns out to be not the same person. The drama the characters face, I can imagine, happens everyday in real life around the globe. There was some comedy, drama, and a moment when I was really rooting for the underdog. This was a well written short story!

Book 4: The Wolf of Wall Street by Lucy Eden
I don’t usually read about shifters and this one was a delight! I liked the characters and the trials that come along with the differences of their lives. I don’t know that I could have read a full book about this particular subject, but this short story was revitalizing and a little different from what I normally tend to read.

Book 5: One Night With a Knight by Aidy Award
Wow! The characters were written like I could call them up and go to the bakery or the club to hang out with them! And the story line was amazing for being a short story, it had just enough heat and trials to keep me interested and loving every minute of it. I will have to be on the lookout to see if there is anything going on with any of the other characters in this one.

Book 6: 44th and Blue by Jodi Payne
There is something about an office romance that keeps me intrigued. Who’s going to find out. Who’s going to give in. This story didn’t disappoint with either of those options. And it just so happens that when the walls are built it keeps the heat in, in all the best ways. Falling for these characters wasn’t a difficult task in this hot little story.

Book 7: Courtney by Jayce Ellis
This story made me sit back and really look at how the world is treating people right now. Just a bigger picture, and it was well done! I loved the character building and the city scape was well described. It has a flow that made it quicker read for me, it had me wishing and hoping for the characters and I enjoyed watching how they worked out the conflicts that are surrounding them throughout this entire short story!

Book 8: The Right Note
This was a cute short story! I fell in love with the main character instantly! This book was very well written with awesome characters and back drop! I could see this so clear in my head that it was like I was there with them, watching the interactions, feeling their feelings.

Book 9: Feeling Bechet
I wasn’t sure about this story at first. The characters are well written, it seemed not to have the flow I was getting used to with the other books in this anthology, but it didn’t deter me to stop reading. I am sure glad I kept going. The conflict instantly sucked me in and it was so well done that I had to stick around to see what was going to happen between them all, not just the main characters, all parties involved.

Book 10: The Glass Tower
Wow, this book was written as such that every time I walk by a high rise I am going to assume that there is a person up there that is described in this story, lol. I sure hope that isn’t the case, but whatever, I am going to presume it is so. Well done, it caught my attention very early on, it was executed just as I had hoped, not that I saw it coming because I surely didn’t!

Book 11: Make Me Beg
There is something to be said about a good mob story, I don’t know what that is just yet because I don’t really read mob stories, but I did really like this one. It was just enough for me to rethink how I think about a good mob story, ha! I even teared up in this one, even being a short story it got to me hard! Well done in all aspects of storytelling!

Book 12: Global City Tryst
The title is the best! It describes exactly what to expect and was done well. The flow of this story was such as that I made it to the end and wanted more, instantly. The character building was well done, the city scapes were, while there weren’t many in this one, they were well described. I seriously can’t wait to get to the rest of this series. Intrigued.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) – Review by Jenni Bishop

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance AnthologyBig City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology by Hazel Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology (A Steamy Contemporary Romance Box Set) twelve short stories by twelve authors. They are all a perfect mix of contemporary romances with different characters and worlds but all with the same message love is love. Each story gives you a teasing little taste.

The stories in this anthology are:

The 57th Floor by Hazel Storm this story is about a matchmaker and proves that age doesn’t matter when your hearts are involved.

A Change of Plans by PE Kavanagh is a story about your sisters’ best friend who has stared in your fantasies, a blizzard, a penthouse and it becomes hot and steamy.

A Hole by Phoebe Alexander was a lot of fun to read with passion, humour and heat. With meddling friends and lots of misunderstanding what could possibly go wrong?

One Night with A Knight by Aidy Award is a story about the one who got away when they were in high school but now one night will change their lives.

44th & Blue by Jodi Payne is a tale of a two people who keep their meetings strictly nameless night time activities that is until their paths cross in the day. Bring on the tension and the fun.

Global City Tryst by Maida Malby is a weekend of pure delight. Who doesn’t like a man in uniform?

Felling Bechet by Stella Williams is a story where it was meant to be fun, just a hook up but love changed it all.

The Wolf of Wall Street by Lucy Eden is the story of a wolf shifter and his fated mate. It is full of tension and heat and add some emotions and steam and oooh la la la.

Make Me Beg by Moni Boyce is the story of two very stubborn people who are looking at a mob war if things aren’t fixed. This flirty little read has the right mix of steam and action, humour and intensity.

Courtney by Jayce Ellis is a nice sweet read. That will leave you with the feels.

The Glass Tower by Emily Gray is about love and longing and one man determined to make life hell.

The Right Note by Bree Kraemer is about how music can bring you together and is the true language of love.

Big City Heat: A High-Rise Romance Anthology is a collection of 12 short stories in just about every genre of romance. From a different city comes different romances from billionaires – fake relationships – older men – LGBTQ – office to mafia romances. With a lot of these authors being new to me, I only really read A Hole by Phoebe Alexander.

Big City Heat is a collection of stories, some can be read as a stand alone, some can not. This collection is a great way to find new, amazing, and talented authors! I recommend you don´t just take my word for it, but dive into them yourself! I decided to start with ¨Make Me Beg¨ by Moni simply because the title caught my interest. I had no idea what an adventure i was in for! It is an intense, fast paced, and overall very well written story! I loved Teagan and Reid´s dynamic, and their connection throughout the story! I loved several authors from this Anthology, some new, some i´ve read content from before. I definitely recommend this collection, as well as the authors behind it!

5 Stars!

Excellent box set. I really enjoyed these different stories and that there were many authors that contributed. I had three top favorites, One Night With A Knight by Aidy Award, 44th & Blue by Jodi Payne and Courtney by Jayce Ellis. The first book because I enjoy a curvy woman finding her true love, and the second two because I drool for MM romance.

In One Night With A Knight, I love that the story is about a plus sized woman Camila, who is a cook and she meets her love from high school again as an adult. Hudson never got over his first love and with a chance meeting with her again at a club, he will not let her go this time. The story shows Camila struggling at a one point with someone calling her big and how her man came to her defense, my heart broke for her but Hudson was there and is all for the curve!

44th & Blue, After meeting Ben, Cole wants nobody else, he can’t stop thinking about Ben. Ben feels the same way but when Ben moves to his new office and realizes Cole is the one working on the offices, he is terrified of mixing business with pleasure. At one point my heart fell thinking Ben was about to be a big jerk and leave Cole, but he bounced back with a nice apology and finally toughened up and realized he wanted Cole in his life.

Courtney, It is so cute that both men in this book have “female names”. This one touched a little on how Courtney was away from his family for a long time because his dad could not accept that he was gay, showing that his dad finally came around. It is sweet that Tracey hasn’t full come to terms with his sexuality and a push from his brother’s boyfriend and the insistence of a date from Courtney opens that door wide open for him.

This is a great collection of romance short stories by twelve amazing authors. Each book has their own style and you will find twelve completely different stories. They have one thing in common, they bring hot romance to a new level. There is something different in each story and something for anyone. I found some of my favorite authors as well as a few new authors. One of my favorite stories is called A Hole. This is a great story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters bring the story to life and are connectable. They made me laugh as well as their great chemistry. I highly recommend this book, I know you will find a few favorites like I did.

I loved reading this anthology. The stories are romantic, steamy, and wonderful to read. Each one has amazing characters that I enjoyed reading about. They come from all different backgrounds. There are also secondary characters in the stories that I enjoyed reading about as well. I love anthologies as I get to read from a wide range of authors. Some I have read other stories by and there are also new authors that I am introduced to. All of the authors have created well-written stories that will have you hooked. I didn’t want to put them down. Don’t miss out on a box set of stories that are romantic and have the temperature in the room rising. I highly recommend this anthology.
