Disturbing the Peace (Blue Line, #4) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jana Teppih

Disturbing the Peace (Blue Line, #4)Disturbing the Peace by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Disturbing the Peace by Brandy Ayers is the fourth book in her Blue Line series and what a cool instalment it is! I have read all four books and I loved how each of the books had its own story and at the same time also a story that continued from a book to book! I was very sad to come to the end of the series but I have to say that we are going out with a bang!
Disturbing the Peace is the book of Justice Reilly who bleeds blue and is definitely into the buckle bunnies and Ana Formosa who is a bad-ass b-i-t-c-h taking down criminals of Pittsburgh. They have a one night stand and then it should be over and done with … or is it now … the history has a tendency of biting one in their butt, and at times literally!
I loved how Justice and Ana had to figure out if they want to find a way forward together and who will be making compromises and will Justice be able to pull back some of his protectiveness … It is a short and steamy read that also gives us a closure on the case that we have been following through all the books of the series! You will not regret the time you will spend with our couple in blue!

Intoxication (Blue Line, #3) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Sheri Schrader

Intoxication (Blue Line, #3)Intoxication by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Intoxication by Brandy Ayers is the third book in the Blue Line Series. This is a standalone book but in my opinion, is better enjoyed if the rest of the series is read. The story is about Police Chief Jon Gallo and Camille Artiga. Chief Gallo has dedicated his life to serving and protecting Middleburg. Now he is combating an ever-growing drug ring that has made its way into his town. Upon meeting Camille Artiga, Gallo realizes his life is going to change. She has been pulled into a life of crime and drugs and forced to give up her dream of medical school. Gallo helps her when she is left for dead. Can the two overcome all the odds against them?
I have enjoyed this series and certainly was happy to see a book about Chief Gallo. He is kind, compassionate but knows how to take care of business. He cares about his family, his officers, and the town he protects. Has he finally found his someone special? Camille is tough and innocent all at the same time. She has been used by those she has trusted and finds it hard to trust. Somehow she feels a security with Gallo that she hasn’t felt in a long time.
This has a HEA but is well worth it. I always enjoy Ayers books and this one as well. She has great characters and good story lines. The books are fun to read and are a nice break away from some of the seriousness of the world. We all need more happy endings.

Possession: Blue Line Book Two by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jana Teppih

Possession: Blue Line Book TwoPossession: Blue Line Book Two by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Possession is the second book in Brandy Ayers Blue Line series. I had not read the first book when I started reading this one. (Just to say, after I finished this one, I had to go and get the first book and now I cannot wait for the third one!) I know that the writer says you can read the book as a standalone but after having read the first book afterwards, I feel I would have benefitted from having have read the first book first.
The two main characters could not be as opposite as they come – Lexis a single mother of a deaf son working three jobs and Bryan is a playboy cop who loves all women! It is a fast paced story with well-developed characters. You get what you see – all the issues get spelled out up front and then you jump on for a ride! It is not to say that the relationship happens overnight, it is just that the writer lets you know of the passing of time without making you wait for it actually to drag …
In the background there is the story of drugs and crime that does not get concluded and will carry over to the third book, at the same time it is well woven into the current story (and the first book as well).
It is a quick steamy action filled read, grab a glass a wine and couple of hours and let Bryan and Lexis to take you away!
