Faking the Fall: A Buckeye Falls NovelFaking the Fall: A Buckeye Falls Novel by Libby Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my gosh guys!! You have to read this set!! You COULD read this one without reading the first few, BUT I would NOT recommend it! Just read them all! You will not regret it and you will fall in love with these characters and their cute little town. Plus the other books give you looks into the other character’s lives and small town life. Buckeye Falls, Ohio is a small town, everyone knows everyone, and the rumor mill is QUICK! Alice unfortunately has a bad rep in town. She’s finished with school and traveling and now she’s back living at home. Yes with her parents! In her 30s and still living at home. Something the WHOLE town won’t let her forget. The whole town (especially her parents!) won’t let her be when it comes to her future plans and her love life. “She’s not getting any younger”. She comes up with a plan that might get them off her back, but will she be able to convince James? James is an artist that leaves New York for small town life after his divorce. He’s been blocked when it comes to his painting and staring at a blank canvases all day has him itching for inspiration. Will he be able to get out of his head and heart and make some beautiful art again? When the two of them have a run-in in the library they both light up! James has some inspiration finally and Alice has a plan for the rumor mill of town. Alice convinces James to fake date her to keep the town at bay and James jumps at the chance to be around his new muse more and more. Will these two crash and burn with their little ruse? This book is super cute and so funny. I laughed out loud like ten times reading this! Maybe more!! You can’t help but fall in love with these characters. Each book is so good! I can’t wait to read more from this author and I hope she continues the Buckeye Falls series with more characters around town!

Caim (Antipodes Series Book 4) by T.S. Simons – Review by Jaimie Salmon-Colburn

Caim (Antipodes, #4)Caim by T.S. Simons
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book four is just as suspenseful and captivating as the first three!! This book starts in Freyja’s point of view after the third ended in hers’. Seven years later, Cam and Freyja are on Lewis living with their family and friends in their small sustainable community called Roseglen. They now have four kids of their own, but with all their family and friends they have their own small village which totals 13 kids! They all finally feel safe and are happy just living their simple “normal” lives. In a post apocalyptic world under a biodome that is. The water outside is still unsafe and scientists think that it will take generations before it starts to return to life. But things never go as planned with this family. When some doctors from the scientist’s domes show up with some kids and earth shattering news for Freyja, they are thrust into the thick of it again and off on another journey they never thought they’d take. Freyja, Cam and two friends who join them are off to find out the truth. Or more truths really. All the lies they’ve been told just keep stacking up higher and higher. Who knew about all these plans? Who knew and lied? Who and what will this effect now?? Making some close friends suspects to these diabolical godlike plans they have to unearth the truth and fast! So much is at stake. The journey takes weeks and along the way Freyja learns about Caim, which is a circle of protection from Gaelic roots. Feeling like their family is at risk, yet again she feels a little lighter after calling the circle. But once home again will things fall apart? Will the messengers be killed? And what about all the kids! They unfortunately get into some trouble and it leads to some life threating stuff too. Life changing events should be the theme of this series because this poor world sure goes through some stuff! If you haven’t started this series….why not?!?! It is so so good!! I’m trying so hard not to give anything away so if you read the reviews of all the books you get no spoilers from me, but let me tell you it is hard!! I want to mention so many things!! These characters are so easy to fall in love with and very relatable in many ways. It shows you that even in hard times traditions are important. Love, loyalty, and friendships are definitely tested in every book of this series so far, and I’m sure the rest will be the same. Trust me when I say you will not regret picking up this set!! You might lose a little sleep, but who hasn’t done that for a really good book…. right??!! I’m off for more adventure in book 5!!

A Frothy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott – Review by Emily Walsh

A Frothy Christmas KissA Frothy Christmas Kiss
ByAllyson R. Abbott
My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Frothy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a sweet light hearted read, that shows how one misunderstanding, and lack of communication can derail an otherwise pretty straightforward situation.

The fourth book in the Christmas Kiss series we follow a new set of MC’s, and their journey towards that cheesy Christmas love we’ve all come to know and love. I will say that as much as I did enjoy this read, it was a little slow moving at the start, and that misunderstanding lasted way longer than it needed to. If i was in that situation I would have asked, right away what Dan situation was. I wasn’t digging the whole childhood best friend thing and his inability to take no for a answer. There are some just bridges not worth saving, just let it burn to the ground.

Outside of that, this story matches the rest and has the same detailed and polished writing from the other books. The characters were pretty okay, a little too dreamed up on the looks department, but otherwise they had pretty solid personalities and in the long run felt real to me. I love the steady progress between Kat and Dan, even if I wanted to slap both of them more then once. Believe me when you read this… and you will..you are going to want to slap them as well.

Overall this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. It’s a light hearted, super cheesy read that will get all those good feels and, warms fuzzies turning.

Happy Reading

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Emily Walsh

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4)Sailors Knot
ByPhoebe Alexander
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander was a steamy, emotional, fantastic read that more than showcased all the elements I love about this serie, it displays Phoebe Alexander’s superb writing skills.

I have to tell you that though this book can be read as a standalone it is part of a connecting series, with overlapping characters and storylines, so there are some spoilers in here. I will say I am a little guilty of reading this series out of order, so don’t be like me.

As I was saying, this book is a perfect fit to the series, and it is probably on of the best, but in saying that every book in this series is strong, well written and pretty amazing. But this one, I don’t know, it just has something, I can’t put my finger on it,; but it has something, extra that sets it apart for the others.

If I haven’t gushed enough, then let me tell you that this story is a tiny bit different, but still holds that magical charm. It follows Casey, the owner of the famous club. This story isn’t set in the present, but the past, her past and tells of love, loss, trying to understand what to define her relationship and pushing through those hard times. I have to say, this book will put your feels through the wringer.

Overall this book was addicting, engaging, entertaining and just plain old azming. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will love not only this book, but this series.

Happy Reading
