Brilliant box-set The whole series in one place. This is one not to be missed right up to the last book where dark and broody meets impulsive and snarky. I really enjoyed all their interactions. A roller coaster ride of events filled with high stakes emotions from the start to the bittersweet end. The author has done an exceptional job creating an intriguing and suspenseful series and keeping true to the characterisation throughout the whole series. Highly recommended.

This is a superb collection of stories. Great suspense and romance. Wonderful characters. I recommend the box set so you can binge read all of them. The only bad thing about it is when the reading adventure is over. Gotta love those book/series hangovers.

This was such a good find! 6 amazing books that help my engagement and interest! The books were beyond spectacular! I was hooked on every single one! Each book held my interest and had me literally on the edge of my seat! These were impossible to put down!
I loved how each book could be read as a stand alone, but why would you want to just read one? I loved each one had a story of a character of one of the 6 brothers we learned about, and their story. The females they meet that complete them, but also push them and test their limits! I found the females courageous and ruthless as the men were! The books were full of suspense and a mysterious tone. Things in everyone were not as they seemed. They were all gripping and had the shock factors I love.
Could not get enough of this series and all the characters it held! I was held and wanting more as I read through the books! I highly recommend the series and author! You are in for a great time!

This is a wonderful series! I LOVE the different storylines and all the characters. Lucky you! You get access to all these guys in one shot! This series has thrills, chills, drama and hotties! Sassy spitfire ladies and those MEN ! Plus the stories are filled with intrigue and suspense! Each story kept me on the edge and I read late into the night to reach the conclusions! This is one of my favorite series that I enjoy over and over!
Cold Bastard is my absolute favorite in the series because it left me speechless. This book….this book was so good! It was intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved everything about the two main characters. Archer is strong, smart heck-a good looking and British! Yes I said British!!! He is a muscular, tattooed suit wearing British speaking hottie!! Although he looks good in sweatpants as well. He is cold and emotionless until a little fireball known as Zoe shows up in his life. Zoe is a curvy little redhead with a smart mouth. She is supremely intelligent and takes nothing from anyone. I enjoyed how she was so body conscious…it made her seem more real. The back and forth between these two is electric! I could not get enough of their banter. I could never decide whether to read slower or faster. Either way was torture. This story did bring out many emotions while reading. I was irritated a few times along with shocked, worried and in awe. I usually am a fan of the male in the story but Zoe’s part was so good that I just am a fan of them both. Although Archer does pull ahead…because of that smexy British Accent!!
They are all just as delightful and sinfully sexy as Cold Bastard. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes back and forth banter between characters and intrigue, suspense and some drama.

India Kells’s Dark Sparrow Box Set: The Complete 6-Book Series (A Dark Sparrow Novel) is a steamy and action-packed ride! I greatly enjoyed reading about the Bastard Brothers and their lady loves. Each book is well written with well-written, complex characters that make you want to cheer and scream. I absolutely adored the way the brothers all reluctantly come together. The fellas are awesome and the Dark Sparrows even more so. I love the way that they realize they are stronger together. If you love action with a healthy dose of sizzle, this is a great series for you. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I loved every book in this boxset. It is a unique set where each book focuses on a separate brother but they are all linked and I would strongly recommend reading them in order so you get a real feel for the brothers, their lives and their current situations.Each brother has a unique upbringing a with some trauma, the thing they have in common is their father. Their father is one evil man who will stop at nothing to destroy his sons. Now the brother must work together to end their father and protect the ones they love. This entire series was remarkable. I was so drawn to all the characters and the trials they each went through. As a family of sorts they stick together to fight their evil father.
Lost Bastard Book 1
WOW WOW WOW!!! This book had me on the brink throughout. This is the first book I have read from this amazing author India Kells. I will certainly be reading more. This book is based on the mob underworld and has so many twists and turns you will not be able to put it down. Lots of lack of sleep with this one. The character building is phenomenal and you get very attached to the main characters as well as sub characters. I loved Deva and her bravery and outspoken attitude. She is a woman that has come into her own after coming back to Chicago. Is there anyone that can be trusted? I got to a point in this book where there would be a happily ever after or would make me cry my eyes out. India Kells, bravo as this was an amazing read.
Cold Bastard Book 2
This was an amazing book. The characters had me feeling all kinds of things. I even cried. So many twists and turns, I was on the edge of my seat. The intensity is palpable between Zoe and Archer. Zoe comes to work for Archer as a dark sparrow to keep an eye on him. Danger is close as he tries to close a deal to sell his Oil and gas refineries. Finch is always in the background in this novel as well. Pulling strings and trying to bring down a bastard son of his. If you loved book one you will fall in love with this book as well. Be prepared to not want to put this book down though. I pulled a very late night. Onto book 3 as I can not get enough of this fabulous author and series.
Wild Bastard Book 3
Author India Kells does it again. This book was top notch. Isabel and Kai have met before and fell in love until she left without notice. Isabel had her reasons. After 15 years they are face to face again, pain and lost love brings back hurt and remorse to Isabel. Isabel is the black sparrow in this story and is put in close proximity to Finch. Finch wants to become Mayor of Chicago and enlists Isabel’s company to handle his campaign. I can not believe what happens in this book. Finch is worse than I ever thought. This story was a turning point in the series. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in book 4. If you haven’t read this series, It is a must read.
True Bastard Book 4
In the continuing story of the Bastard Series, author India Kells sucks you into the story right from the start. I read this book so quickly. I loved the story of Liam and Catriona. Liam is a Chicago police officer and Catriona is a great money tracker. The brothers are recouping after their last run in with Finch but still working hard to bring him down. They place their hopes in Catriona to find where Finch is hiding his money so they can cut it off. She has her work cut out for her as danger begins to surround them. A few more characters are added to this story and brings a heart warming conclusion. On to book 5. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen. I am so invested in all these characters I will miss them when the series is done. Dark Bastard Book 5
I am almost half way through the book and I am so angry at Finch. I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. I didn’t because I really need to know how this is going to turn out and well it’s my kindle. Ellie is a 911 operator and has nothing to do with this crazy world of treachery. She is on the brink of ending the non stop pain she is in emotionally when Sam calls her by mistake. One phone call may save them both or plunge them both into the beginning of a nightmare. Sam’s past comes to light in this novel and this man has suffered the obscene cruelties of life at the hands of his father. This was the first book in which a dark sparrow is not used. Gabrielle is not heard from at all. What is happening at that end? No one knows.
King Bastard Book 6
Loved Loved Loved this finale of this series. The eldest in the family and the doctor. The author was so dynamic in her story telling of this book. I literally could not put this book down. As always you get glimpses of all your favorite characters in this book as well. The closeness and struggles that come with most families. This book will have you riveted to your seat as you wait for the next foot to fall. The author does not disappoint in any way. This is a must read. I’m just sad that these wonderful characters have come to an end. I could read about them for much longer.

Wow! This box set was exactly what I needed to get our of my reading slump. Six different book and each book comes with a different pair of people, each unique in their own ways. It was hard trying to figure out which couple was my favorite. They were all wonderful and badass in their own ways. Each is a stand alone book and not needed to read the others. The writing was simply amazing and I immediately was pulled in the world that the author created in each book! I’m impressed and will definitely re-reading this boxed set!

This is a great series to binge read. Once you get started you won’t want to put them down. In my personal opinion each book was a bit better than its predecessor. The author does a great job of telling the stories of each individual brother and the women they come to love while trying to take down the man they call their father. I’m very glad I took a chance on an author that I had never heard of before because I have come to find some great stories that I want to keep going forever.

The Dark Sparrow boxset was fantastic! This author is definitely a go to for me because their books are always amazing and I never want put them down! Here are a few reviews of my favorites from this boxset! Cold Bastard (Dark Sparrow #2) This is the first book that i have read by this author and i really liked it! I was pulled into the story from the start and i couldn’t put it down! The characters in this book are fantastic, even if Archer was a bit much with his attitude. But other than that i loved both him and Zoe. This book was a little dark and i liked that aspect of it. It has some unexpected events and over all i thought this was an awesome book!
Wild Bastard (Dark Sparrow #3) This story is all about second chances and with the history that Kai and Izzy have, there is alot going on in their lives. They work so well together but the amount of secrets weigh heavily on their shoulders and that can slowly drive people apart. This book had a little bit of everything. There is suspense, romance, action, danger and a whole lot of drama. It an extremely well written story that i lost myself in from the moment i picked it up. I would recommend it to a friend.
True Bastard (Dark Sparrow #4) This story is about Liam and Catriona Walsh. They were such awesome main charcters and so different than any characters I’ve read before. Their story intrigued me and I was pulled in from page one. This book was full of emotions, drama and danger. I couldn’t get enough.

Oh my goodness, I am so glad I was able to read all 6 books at once, because I think I would have gone crazy while waiting to read the next book! This is an explosive series, full of sexy alpha males (a description I never thought I would ever use), strong, gorgeous, intelligent women, and a dark twisty story line that hooks you from the start. Over the course of 6 books we get to know 6 half-brothers, who call themselves the bastards and their father, Jamison Finch, a dark sick man, who after realizing his oldest son Lazarus, would not be taking over his empire, instead decides to use his resources to destroy his children. Lazarus a former MI6 operative has been working to take down his father and keep his brothers, Aleksei, Archer, Kai, Liam, and Sam safe. Lazarus reaches out to an old friend who runs a deep secret agency called Purgatory to help him destroy his father. The leader Beatrice is unwilling to involve her agents, but instead offers a different solution, her Dark Sparrows. Women she assisted in getting out of horrific situations and starting over with a clean slate, who have vowed to come to her aid whenever called. Each book focuses on one brother and the dark sparrow who comes into his life to help him with his specific concern. Over the course of the books, we get to see how truly evil Jamison is and the extremes he will go to destroy his sons and inflict even more damage than he already has, but we also get to see how the brothers learn to work together and fall in love with the women who come into their lives. Each story is extremely steamy and action keeps you focused until the final page. As the books progress, the subject matter does get darker, but it’s not overly descriptive with the darker elements. I love how the author is able to create strong women who were able to overcome their pasts and become the amazing women they are now., who don’t back down from a fight and will work with the men they love to overcome an evil megalomaniac bent on destruction. If you like action adventure, twists, steamy scenes, and fully developed characters who will keep you guessing until the final page this is definitely a series you will want to check out!

Reading the Dark Sparrow books 1-6 was my first encounter with India Kells’ writing, and all I can say is WOW! This book series centers around half-blood brothers who all lead very different lives, but have all been sired and abandoned by the same dangerous criminal, Jamieson Finch. Each book spotlights a brother and one of the Dark Sparrows who is recruited in by Purgatory to aid in the mission of bringing Finch down. The Dark Sparrows are women who owe their lives to Purgatory for one reason or another, and have agreed to help them if the need ever arose.
I applaud Kells on her ability to make every story unique. Each brother and female lead is vastly different in personality and lifestyle, crafting completely different storylines. I enjoyed that many of the characters I grew to love in each book before continued to make an appearance so that it didn’t feel as if they were gone and their story was over. The books are written in a way that you could read any one of them as a standalone, but I highly suggest reading them all in order as each story does have parts that link the previous books together. If you like handfuls of romance, action and suspense, this just might be the perfect world to curl up with and get lost in.

I have read numerous books by India Kells and all of them have been AMAZING reads! When I saw that she was releasing a 6-book box set, I knew that I was going to read it! The best part about this box set is that each book revolves around a powerful couple. The way that the author writes these stories, it makes me feel as though I am in the middle of the action with them and not just a reader. Book 1- Lost Bastard Lazarus King is the first brother we meet, he enlist the help of some powerful friends to help him keep one of his brothers Aleksei Voronov safe from their businessman and megalomaniac father Jamison Finch. We find out a lot about Aleksei in this book more so then Lazarus, and were also introduced too two more of the brothers who play small parts in this first part of this series. Jamison Finch is set on destroying the entire Chicago criminal underworld that Aleksei is part of and this is how we met the one of the first powerful women who are set to enter their lives. Devi Landry is a physical therapist who has been in hiding for the last ten years, she also has deep rooted connections to the criminal underworld and is brought in to help keep an eye on Aleksei, at first he is a job but as time goes on her secrets are unveiled and it become about them all Protecting her just as much as she is protecting Aleksei. Each of them is well-written and well-developed. The characters are individually defined. Though your classic battle of good and evil, it’s modernized and sexy. Finch is the evil bastard out to twist plans. The good guys win but they also hide secrets so the challenges abound in the battles. That is the best part of the story. Nothing is as it seems yet all is well. A plot that goes all over the place yet has no choppiness. The story is very engaging. I felt myself getting pulled in right from the beginning and it didn’t stop until the end of the story. I loved this set. I know you will to. Hit that one-click. You won’t regret it.

I highly recommend these books and what better than to have them all at once in a set?
Book 2 Such a great book! The story was filled with steamy romance, drama and action making for an excellent read. I just love Zoe. She is such a strong, independent, beautiful woman yet she is fragile and slightly self conscious. I am super impressed with her skills as a translator and kind of jealous she has such a great thing going for her with that. The chemistry between her and her new boss Archer is off the charts and I love them together. My heart breaks for Zoe, as sometimes she feels like she is not good enough for a man like him and then other times I want to scream at them both to just communicate better! The drama that unfolds with Archer’s new business buy out and Zoe’s brother is super exciting and along with all the action, fighting and plotting, really gave the book that extra edge. The secondary characters are very loveable and just as interesting to get to know. I would highly recommend this book and I personally can not wait to read Kai and Izzy’s story.
Book 3 A great follow up to Cold Bastard. In this book we meet Kai and Izzy. I was so hoping for their story and my dreams came true. This book is a nice mix of romance and suspense, so it will have you engrossed the whole way through. Kai’s father is a douche and Kai will stop at nothing to bring his father’s company down while also dealing with this feelings for Izzy. Izzy was brought in to help bring Kai’s father’s business down but at the same time her past secrets are revealed. Izzy is a strong woman, and her personality had me loving her from the very beginning. I do wish Kai and Izzy were not in so many compromising situations, or I could see them together quicker, but then we wouldn’t have a great story right? Second chance romance is one of my top favorite genres, so this book was perfect and everything I wanted for Izzy and Kai. I would recommend reading to find out if Izzy and Kai can make it through all of this drama. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you start from the beginning. This author never disappoints.
Book 4 5 stars! I love India Kells! This is the fourth book in the series and it could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the previous three, it is nice to be introduced to the brothers starting with the first book. I love how all of the brothers are half brothers and have formed bond so tight because of their one common goal, to take their father down. Liam and Catriona’s story had me hooked as much as the previous stories. The characters were nicely developed and the story was easy to follow and get lost in. I can totally understand Catriona’s choice to become a nun, but I can also see the strong attraction and pull she has to Liam, so of course I was rooting for her to ditch the sisterhood and get her man. Liam, I was happy to hear that he at least had some love growing up with his uncle, but being thrust into the world of his father, Jamison Finch, he knew nothing but violence and defiantly no love. Meeting Catriona I see him finding love in his life again, and he deserves it. This story has a lot of action, romance, drama, and suspense, it is the perfect combination. I really can’t wait to see what happens with the next brother Sam since that epilogue had me on the hook!
Book 5 I love that this series is not based solely on romance, but that there is action and drama. It sucks to see the brothers all still fighting their father, he is seriously deranged! My heart broke in the beginning to learn how Ellie and Sam were both feeling about life, but seriously awesome twist that Sam happens to call Ellie’s phone instead of his brothers and a bond forms between them. I liked watching Sam and Ellie dealing with and surviving in Jamison’s home and being basically held prisoner. The bond between the brothers, even though they haven’t known each other long is beautiful. Watching Ellie and Sam fight their inner demons and come together is sweet. At the end we get a glimpse of the next story which is involving Lazarus, fantastic name, and I have been most excited to read his story!
Book 6 Excellent ending to the Dark Sparrow series. I was happy to finally get to see what was going on with Lazarus and to see if he would get his own happily ever after. As with the first five books in the series, this author really has a way with getting you hooked. Sasha is such a strong and independent woman, and she seems like just the right type of woman that Lazarus would need by his side. The trauma she has to go through while being held captive and then fighting Jamison alongside everyone else makes her truly awesome to me. Lazarus, like all his brothers before, acts like Sasha needs protected and can’t defend herself, and I know it is all for fear of losing her, but we know she is a total baddie and could handle anything that is thrown at her. I wish the ending was a little more dramatic, but I was very satisfied especially with the epilogue.

This is a great box set that I enjoyed each book. This is the Dark Sparrow collection of six books. They are by an author that has great writing skills and her attention to details make her stories pop. This is a collection of six men who are related as brothers and bound by blood. Add six females who have secrets of their own. Plus a dangerous father who is out to get everyone. This set is full of romance and suspense. They are each unique but link each book to the next. They are fast paced, engaging and hard to put down. This is a set you don’t want to miss out on. This is a great set that won’t let you down and will tick all your boxes. I highly recommend this box set and this author.

This boxset is a wonderful introduction to the Mafia Elite series- with three books in one, hello- #winning. But trust me when I say that you are bound to develop an addiction to her books and go searching for more. So, you will be happy to know that there are not only more books in this series, but also an extensive back-catalogue of the authors other books too- which are also excellent reading in their own rights. This Boxset contains No Way Out (Book #1), Blood Oath (Book #2), and Born In Darkness (Book #3). Below are my individual reviews for these books to give you a little taste of what to expect…..
NO WAY OUT (Mafia Elite Book #1): 5 Stars ALL THE FREAKING STARS!!!! OMG!!! Amy McKinley has outdone herself, AGAIN!!!! No Way Out is the incredible first instalment in the Mafia Elite series by the supremely talented Amy McKinley. I know I keep saying this with every new release of hers, but this is definitely a new favourite for me. It is a fantastic mafia romance/romantic suspense, with plenty of action, violence, danger, drama, mafia politics, intrigue, tension, chemistry, sizzle, secrets, revenge, and emotion. I fell for Max and Liliana right from the beginning- they were such great characters- quite complex, fully developed individuals with depth and their own unique quirks and flaws. I really don’t want to give too much away and spoil the story for you… But will leave you with this little tidbit. Max has an agenda that has taken a lot of time and planning to finetune before he can now, finally, let it all unfold. He has been tasked with protecting his mentor’s granddaughter, on top of his own plans to exact a little revenge and right past wrongs. He never expected that he would be so drawn to the young woman he was sent to protect. Having more in common with her than he first thought. But she is no defenceless flower, as he soon discovers- she’s one kick-butt mafia princess. But with secrets, agendas, politics, and sinister intentions- it’s not long before they are neck deep in a dangerous situation. It definitely made for an intense, suspenseful, edge of my seat read!!! Another gem to add to Ms. McKinley’s crown!
BLOOD OATH (Mafia Elite Book #2): 5 Stars
Second book into this amazing series and Ms. McKinley has hit it out of the park again!!! Blood Oath is the second fantastic book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. As with the first book, this is a brilliant mafia romance- a romantic suspense story with an action-packed plot, secrets, dramatic developments, mafia politics, intrigue, tension, chemistry, steamy encounters, emotion, and more… This book continues what we started in book one, but this is Sofia and Enzo’s story (whom we met in book one as supporting characters). I loved all the interconnected details and intriguing threads that Ms. McKinley is weaving through her stories, and series. It makes for riveting reading. I have a new addiction and I can’t wait for my next fix!!!
BORN IN DARKNESS (Mafia Elite Book #3): 5 Stars
So, after finishing this and having read most, if not all of Ms. McKinley’s books now, I have come to the conclusion that she could write the phone book and make it addictive reading! Seriously!!! If you have yet to pick up one of her many books, what are you waiting for? You will kick yourself for missing out this long. Born in Darkness is another gem in Ms. McKinley’s crown- a stellar mafia romance, it is the third book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. A masterfully woven romantic suspense story with action, violence, mafia politics, second chances, family dynamics, friendship, chemistry, sizzle, secrets, drama, intrigue, tension, and edge of your seat developments. This book is Stefano and Emiliana’s story, I was so excited to dive in- and now I can honestly say Ms. McKinley doesn’t rest on her laurels here, she ups the ante yet again, grabbing me right from the get-go and had me flipping the pages to find out what happens, all while proving once again that this series just gets better and better with each new release. If you haven’t read the previous two books, I highly recommend that you do, as not only are they fantastic stories in their own rights, they also contain important information that will help you better appreciate this story, as well as building a bigger picture. I love this series and the wonderfully complex characters that take centre stage here. I have a serious addiction to Ms. McKinley’s stories and need my next fix STAT!

James Talisman is such a gifted author and this box set is awesome! 3 books in a series, together in one place! This Sci-Fi journey is a trip through imaginative worlds with wonderful characters and plot development. I have never been a big fan of this genre, but Talisman’s use of descriptive, colorful words and useful information had me hooked on these books from the beginning. I felt connected to the characters in the Journeys Through Collection and felt their emotions as the series progressed. Not only is this series interesting, but also highly entertaining! I cannot wait for more books by James Talisman!

I love this series, it gives me the same feelings that I got when I read Jessie Evan’s “Always a Bridesmaid” series or Melody Anne’s “Billionaire Bachelor Series” starring “The Andersons” – that feeling that I want to – no need to – devour all the books and never want the series to end. Each book is better than the last and we get to see what the previous characters are up to now.
Each book has all the components of a “classic” romance. There are friendships, family, sexy times, angst, misunderstandings and ROMANCE.
I have a total girl crush on the author and she has become a one-click author to me – no questions asked.
I absolutely recommend this series and it is in my top 5 romance series of all times.

The Something Series – Box Set Books 1-3: (Tell Me Something, Ask Me Something & Bet Me Something) By: Aubrey Bondurant 5 out of 5 stars
This is an amazing set of stories. Each book hooks you in and I found myself getting lost in the pages. Each of the stories focuses on two main characters. I loved reading about the attraction and chemistry that each one had for the other. The feelings that they have for each other are undeniable. The main characters are well-developed, and I found myself caring about them and their happiness with each chapter that I read. My emotions went up and down the entire time I was reading these books. There are moments that will warm your heart and make you smile. There are steamy, red-hot scenes that will make the temperature in the room rise. There are also other secondary characters introduced. I enjoyed reading about the part that they play in the stories. This is an author that does a wonderful job in weaving stories that you will not soon forget. I would highly recommend reading them.

Eastern Shore Swingers Series (3 book Boxed Set) by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing trio of books that continuously and effortlessly entertained me, left me breathless and craving for more. A good author always provides you with stories that hold you frantically captivated, but an outstanding one has you anticipating the next one before you have finished the current one. Phoebe Alexander gives a reader that and more. You can always tell when an author’s heart and soul lives in each story.
Book one, Fisher of Men, is the story of Leah and Chris “Cap” Sheldon. While Leah was a pleasure to get to know, Cap was like savouring a piece of Belgian chocolate. Quality at its finest. Their story was emotional and a wonderful journey of discovery, with many bumps along the way.
Book two, The Catch, is the story of Paisley and Calvin. That was a spicy story that kept the tension at an all time high, with a reader never really knowing which way the pendulum would swing. It was riveting, edge of your seat reading, and the story was written just to keep the reader desperate for more.
Book three, Siren Call, is the story of Jessie and Sirena. I really got into this story. Having not read many female/female stories, I was not fully aware of what to expect. Jessie has a job to do, but cannot help being drawn to Sirena. Sirena was a hard character to crack. But that just made her more intriguing and delectable. There story was exciting, filled with arousing tension, and overflowing with substance and heart.
The Eastern Shore Swingers series was one I enjoyed beautifully, but too quickly. This series is a more than once read, and one to be savoured. 5 stars.
