This is my first book by Miss Brandy Nacole, and she did not disappoint. Psychological thrillers are not normally my thing but all I can say about I Will Bury You is WOW!!!! If you love psychological thrillers full of love, death, and so many surprising twists and turns that it makes your head spin then I definitely recommend I Will Bury You but I will warn you that Miss Nacole will have you guessing until the very end. This psychological thriller is beyond dark, complex, and so detailed that you’ll want to read it more than once to try and catch all the little details and clues that Miss Nacole leaves us.

Well knock me down with that ending why don’t you miss Brandy. I did not see that one coming. Brandy has an intriguing writing style…. I was scared when it started with the twists and turns that I might get lost but with the way she writes I could follow along perfectly. The only critique I have is that the first bit of the book needs a bit of editing work BUT it doesn’t take anything away from the story.

Captivating YA psychological thriller/ mystery read. I’d say reading level is more upper YA for “murder mystery” content and talk of mental health, even though MC (Main Character) actually falls into the New Adult category.
Ann returns home to Newport, Oregon, to deal with her mother’s passing from cancer. While packing up her mother’s stuff she finds items that don’t add up to what she remembers, and things that were hidden from her. Meanwhile people around her end up dead or injured. Who’s doing this? And why is it all happening upon her return home?
I really enjoyed the unveiling and the conclusion of the mystery. Some scenes/clues come about via flashbacks while others from narrator introspection. The switch from one to the other kept me reading to find out what happened next. I also liked the interaction of MC with the supporting characters, between her grief over her mother, assisting her aunt, fighting with the neighbor, and talking with the therapist we are able to flesh out who the MC really is.

This is the first book I’ve read by Nacole, but it won’t be my last. This page turner will have you on the edge of your seat.
Ann has lost her mother, but doesn’t know exactly what happened. There are things she doesn’t remember. She doesn’t understand what is going on. The quote I chose for Ann is: “She thinks I did it, doesn’t she? She never believes me. What did she say? Did she say that I was lying? Does she think I’m losing it because Mama died? She doesn’t think I can live on my own, does she? Ya know…”

I Will Bury You by Brandy Nacole is a psychological thriller that did NOT disappoint. A story that grips from the beginning, we start with Ann Winters losing her mother. While Ann is going through her mother’s belongings, she finds some things that don’t quite make sense to her. As the story unravels, Ann starts to question her mother, and even her childhood.
As Ann starts losing more loved ones, and people start pointing fingers, how will she get ahold of the situation, and what is left of her life?

I Will Bury You by Brandy Nacole is quite the little surprise. An interesting little story, it sets up as an eerie whodunit. It doesn’t take long to really figure out what’s going on with Ann, but oh that ending. That ending was quite the surprise. I was not expecting it. A good quick read.

Wow. This was gripping from the first paragraph! I was immediately drawn in by this story and the main character, the plot and writing are so faced paced and interesting all the way through. I really liked the way Nacole draws you in, keeps you guessing and then drops the absolute mic on you with this story. I really really enjoyed the writing style in this book, it was effortless to read and I felt compelled to pick up my kindle whenever I possibly could to get further into this intriguing story. I feel like the characters were expertly developed – Especially Ann and Aunt Meredith. I would recommend this book to everybody, I think it was absolutely fantastic.

I Will Bury You by Brandy Nacole was a really thrilling read! At the beginning I wasn’t sure I was going to like it that well, and it wasn’t until after the middle of the book that I really got hooked. This book was very thrilling, and exciting and entertaining. There’s so much I want to say about this book, but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. I guess I can say that I saw where the book was going in terms of storyline earlier, so it was slightly predictable, but I definitely didn’t expect the ending. That took me by surprise and was an unexpected twist. My only complaint was that I wished the story flowed better. With some factors of the book, I found it a little difficult to concentrate so that took away part of the story. But all in all this was a great read! I definitely recommend it.

A thriller to say the least! It begins with a tragedy that throws Ann Winter’s life into disarray. As the story goes on, you discover that things are not what they seem, and tragedy strikes one after another. Who can you trust? Who is responsible? The story keeps you second guessing the answers to these questions. The major plot twist was clear from the beginning, but the more detailed and nuanced story still took some unexpected turns. After about the halfway point, I could not put it down until I finished it! I would have preferred to have a bit more mystery leading to the revelation of the main plot twist and I would have liked to see more detail and twists after it was revealed. In general, a captivating and quick read, perfect for a young adult audience.

It is a sunny day, but it isn’t the right weather for a funeral, especially when you are burying a parent and comforting an aunt, but staying strong is the most important thing when you have to be strong for them, even though you are breaking down inside. As we leave the cemetery and head home, she announces that the house needs to be cleared, things organised into piles for donation, items to sell at the antique shop and things to keep and it all has to be done in less than a week before she moves into a retirement home. This is all a shock and while going through the things in the attic first, this is when the time gaps start, one minute looking at a drawing, the next a banging announcing that tea is late and her routine is broken and routine is everything for her nowadays. Later on after she is settled into her chair with an audiobook, the sorting and organising continues, however, the things that are found are both disturbing and at the same time unknown, there are drawings and pictures, that are new to the eyes and the questions they bring up are blown off when an explanation is needed.
As the packing continues the boy next door comes to visit and it is like no time has passed between the last time he was here, but the conversation is lacking but the passion is still there until he says something unusual and is asked to leave when tempers alight and anger is ignited, but this is the last time he is seen alive, but the person in the spotlight for causing it doesn’t know why they are there, but this is just the beginning of the strange things that start to happen. The time gaps increase and the memories associate them are fuzzy and incomplete, but when somebody else is hurt and the spotlight seems even brighter and more blame is piled on top, things start to unravel, the mind starts to fracture and the explanations seem far fetched, but that is where the truth lies, however unbelievable it is.
As the injuries and bodies pile up and the darkness creeps in, the unbelievable becomes fact and the fear increases, but what has happened during the time gaps and will the incomplete memories explaining them ever be revealed? Who is the one who has been doing all these hurtful things and why? When the person seen in the mirror is not the one you know, how would you react? This is a thought provoking murder mystery with a twist where you have to read to the end to understand the tale, but it is well worth the read and you will be rushing to the conclusion to find out if your suspicions and assumptions are indeed the correct ones.

I Will Bury You is a YA twisted psychological thriller story by Brandy Nacole. This story is full of deception and lies, suspense and mystery and more. I Will Bury You is fast paced and full of suspense from start to finish. I found myself having to back track and reread sections due to some editing issues. Overall, it didn’t detract from the story that much it just stilted the easy flow.
She is losing a fight with reality. Who is after her? Is she next to wind up dead? What is real and what isn’t? Who is that person looking back at her?
YA’s will love this story and will not want to put it down.

I will bury you is a good psychological thriller. There are lots of unexpected twists throughout the book. The narrator (Ann) loses track of time throughout the book, leaving the reader on the edge of their seat to try to piece together what is happening. The characters are relatable and complex making them realistic. The book is easy to read and hard to put down.

Ann returns home from Boston for her mother’s funeral and to care for her Aunt Meredith. As she begins packing up the house and preparing to sell, Ann starts having bouts of missing time and waking up in the morning with headaches.
Ann’s life really turns upside down with a murder close by. These not-so-normal incidents keep occurring. Ann’s blind aunt ends up in the hospital after a fall. From there Ann’s life becomes more chaotic. What is happening to Ann? Why is she experiencing these lapses in time?
I loved this book. Its mystery kept me engaged from the beginning. As the puzzle pieces start coming together, you will be shocked by the powerplay in this book.

This is the new author for me. I don’t normally go for psychological thrillers but this one was really good. This book featured Ann Winters as the main female character however things get a little distorted when we find out that she has DID. You’ll meet different characters throughout the story, Since this topic is something I’ve only read about, I thought this was done very well. It’s a good book and I recommend it and I will be researching this author more to find more books by her.

I didn’t really know what to expect when I picked up this book but I thought I would give it a chance. My recommendation is not to read it as a mystery because the general story line is predictable. If you read it in the context of the character’s self- discovery, it is fairly well done. There are a few places where I had to re-read some sentences because there needed to be some editing, but it wasn’t horribly distracting from the story. I thought the theory of the character’s experience was interesting. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m not sure how else to say that, but if you read the book, you’ll know what I’m referencing. Overall a pretty good read. I was able to get through it in an afternoon.

Wow what a story. I was a little confused at the beginning as there is so many characters in the body of one person but once you work out which character is which the book is very enjoyable and so gripping.
It follows the life of a girl called Ann. All her life she has been medicated for sleep apnea. However that’s not what the medication was for.
When Ann stops taking the medication and loses her mum her life seems to spiral out of control. With moments of blackouts and no idea what’s happening and strange thing happening including murder. Is Ann responsible for it all? Is she a cold killer or is there more to Ann than anyone realises?

What happens when the darkness comes? Who do you have left to turn to when everyone is dying? I Will Bury You by Brandy Nacole is a story of death, love, and beginning a new journey. A mysterious mob looking man shows up at Ann’s mothers funeral. Who could he be and why was he there?
Ann is your typical 18-year-old trying to find her way through life with hopes and dreams of going off to college. It wasn’t until her Aunt Meredith dropped the bomb on her that she will be moving into a retirement home and that Ann needs to live her own life in Boston and not to worry about her.
A lot of families have skeletons in their closet and Anns family is no different. Aunt Meredith suggested that Ann shouldn’t take too much time up in the attic because there is not much up there but junk. That only made Ann more curious as to why her Aunt didn’t want her up there and what treasures she would find. What kind of secrets await Ann?

This thriller was AMAZING! Seriously, it was unlike any other thriller I have ever read. The author did an amazing job with the plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure it out. I was so engrossed in this book that I didn’t want to put it down. In fact, I stayed up almost all night to finish it and gosh was I floored by the turns that it took and the ending. My theories kept changing but I wasn’t ready for the ending that she knocked me out with. I think the writer did a wonderful job piecing the story together to fill it with not only suspense, but great deception as well. The characters were great, and it was exceptionally well written. This was the first book I have read from this author, but I am looking forward to reading more by her. Don’t pass up your chance to read a really great book in this thriller.

Brandy Nacole is a new author to me and she did not disappoint with this book. I Will Bury You is a psychological thriller. The attention to detail is amazing. The plotline is engaging and realistic. The characters are well written, complex, and fully developed. I found myself turning the pages because I need to know what was going to happen next. I will caution you that you do not want to move too fast because you may just miss a clue to what is going to happen. In this book, the main character is a young lady who is really having coping issues. She is lost and losing herself. Those around her are being killed. She needs to get into survival mode because she doesn’t know what is coming up next. I do not want to give too much information. So I highly recommend this book to see if you can find out what is going to happen in the end.

I loved the complex character of Ann. She’s smart, real, and haunted by a darkness she can barely see the edges of. This story moved at a great pace, and revealed the mysteries bit by bit which kept me engaged throughout. This would have been a great read for a teen (which I am not) but is also interesting for adult readers of YA. Definitely recommend, give it a try!

This is a Crime novel and is 156 pages. This is an epic crime read! I am pretty sure I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading this one. You seriously cannot put this down. The way this author wrote the book had your imagination running wild. I found myself having to slow down so I could take it all in. The family lies and secrets would be enough to push anyone over the edge.

I Will Bury You was quite the YA thriller read. I was intrigued from the very start and enjoyed the storyline. The author managed to keep me on the edge of my seat from the beginning until the very end, constantly guessing about the outcome. I enjoyed the complex, intense, disturbing and action-packed storyline. It was certainly nothing like I had ever read before.
There were just a few things missing for me, at times I had to reread and go back a couple chapters thinking I had missed reading something since it seemed like a detail was missing but that wasn’t the case. So, I found myself having to piece a few things together on my own.
This was my first book by this author but I look forward to reading more from her in the future!

I struggled with this one, and that was difficult for me because I went into it wanting to love love it so much. I have a thing for psychological thrillers and maybe I set a high bar too because of that. This book has a great baseline and wonderful plot to work with. The characters are strong and I could see where I would get the crap scared out of me. However, I found myself struggling because I would find myself needing to go back and reread or rethink areas because some editing was missed and things were just not laid out the way they should have been for that smooth and effortless read that I wanted so badly. I loved the excitement it still contained and could see myself giving it another read if it was tweaked and re-edited in the future. For me I will go with a solid three stars for now though.

I Will Bury Youby Brandy Nacole is a YA thriller- a bit of a mystery with murder, family secrets, lies, discovery, crime and investigation, and drama. The story has an interesting premise, and I couldn’t wait to dive in- but unfortunately the many editing issues really detracted from my enjoyment of the story (in my Verified Purchase Kindle copy- from Amazon Australia). With a little tweaking and attention, this story really could be stellar- but as it is, it fell short for me. But, as the story is geared towards a younger audience, maybe they won’t see the issues, or have the same problems I have had reading this book. I really did want to love this book and I am sorry that I didn’t. Maybe next time.
