My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2) by Necie Navone – Review by Heather Bass

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2)My One Love by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read a couple of books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the second book of the Brothers of Camelot. You have to read these books in order. I was so excited to read Lexy and Grayson’s book. You got to meet them when they were young and now the are very strong adults. I stopped everything and started to read this book right away. I could not put this book down until the end. It only took me a couple of days to devour this incredible book.

We met Lexy and Grayson when they were young and now they are adults. Lexy is still hiding from her family and she is waiting for the right time to come back into Grayson’s life. She is so excited but also scared that he might be taken already. Lexy is finally ready to see her Grayson. She makes a grand entrance that’s for sure. When they meet again their feelings are still immediate. Lexy is so happy that her man still feels the same as she does. She is so excited to have Grayson back into her life but she has a secret that she has been meaning to tell him. Lexy doesn’t want things to change between them because she loves him. Will Lexy be able to tell Grayson who she really is or will she keep her real self hidden?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and forgiveness. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. Lexy is a very strong and independent woman that knows what she wants. She has always loved the same man. Lexy is afraid to show her true self due to her past. Grayson has been trying to find the girl that stole his heart. He was in shock when she came back to him. The way he treats her will make you swoon. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will have you on the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what will happen next to these unforgettable characters.

My Free Life: Prequel to the Brothers Camelot (My Life Series Book 3) by Necie Navone. I love this series. I have so enjoyed each book and I feel like I could call up the characters! This is the final installment in the My Life series and we’ve watched Aless grow up. She is now 20 and the Capo Donna of a Major Crime Family in Italy. She is watching all of her friends and family find love and happiness and she doesn’t have the choice to do that on her own. She made a dying promise to her mother that she would escape this crazy life and find true love and happiness. Will she be able to keep that promise? Aless has grown into a strong, beautiful, capable woman and most of her men want her either to be their wife or at least in their bed. Aless is attached to a few of the men who protect her but her heart is set on finding true love. After living with an abusive father for 20 years Aless is about ready to make her Mom’s wish come true. Will she succeed? These book are amazing and Necie Navone has become a new favorite author!

And so we have the final book in the trilogy of the prequel series to The Brothers of Camelot series and what a final book it is! I have loved this trilogy – I’ve never read a prequel trilogy before and I thought it was such a fantastic idea by the author. Not only do I feel like I know the characters inside out but I am totally ready to carry on with the next part! I love this author’s writing style; she has totally captured my attention with her beautiful writing. Her characters are well thought out and progress so well over the story – especially Aless, I feel like I have grown up with her from the very beginning. I have seen her progress from a child to an almost warrior princess! She is a fantastic character and I love her!
The story is full of action and turn the pages fast enough! I highly recommend this book and the series needs to be read in order!!
I am looking forward to more to come from this author again in the future.

My Free Life is the third part of Necie Navone’s My Life Series that is prequel to the Brothers of Camelot series! I cannot wait for the second book in the Brothers of Camelot series as that will give us the conclusion of Aless’ journey to and with Grayson. Please read the series in the order as it is meant to be read!
My Free Life is the final chapter of the My Life Series and please, remember, Aless is only 20 years old. It is hard to remember it at times considering all that she has experienced and all she has had to overcome … our amazing warrior princess!
It would not be Necie Navone if she didn’t give us twists and turns and … she keeps us at the edge of our seats while bringing Aless’ journey to where she is ready to grab her dreams by its balls! She throws at us Russian and Italian Mafia, power struggles, action, drama, secrets, messed up family dynamics, and longing … the time has come and we are all prepared for the My One Love! Bring it on!

Necie Navone is going to be an author to follow as she did an AMAZING job with this series. She understood the way the Italian Family works. Her characters are real and believable. It is like Alssandra could be a best friend. This story is a fast, action packed, and mystery rolled into a three-book series.

In the last installment of My Life Series, we find that Alessandra has really blossomed into the young lady who is only 20 years old. Alessandra has had a lot of things happen to her in her short life. The fact that she is in Italy and is the Head of the Family requires a lot of knowledge about the working of the family and the “business”. Alessandra has proven that she can lead the family and now it is time for her to shine. Will it be enough for Alessandra or will she have to dig deeper down and bring more to the table?

5 out of 5 stars

The story My Free Life: Prequel to The Brothers of Camelot (My Life Series Book 3) by Necie Navone is a coming of age book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had finished the last page. It has action, suspense, and danger. It is a book that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is the continuing story of the girl who is now the Capo Donna. She is in charge of Family business and does her job well. She has been trained in self-defense in the Family since she was a little girl and has proven herself time and again. This story finds the Capo Donna closer to the dream of a “free life.” She is a beautiful, strong, and independent woman. She is someone who doesn’t shy away from saying what she means and telling the truth when she needs to. Will she finally make good her escape and start to live a normal and “free” life? Read this book to find out. Many of the characters that are in this book have been brought forward from the first two. I loved how the Capo Donna has so many that are loyal to her and would do anything to help her. She has a family by blood who she loves dearly, and they love her as well. There are also those who are introduced in this story that have their own agenda and who have evil intentions. What will happen when these men go up against the Capo Donna and the Family? There are heartbreaking times and heartwarming times in this story. One of the things I love about the book is that it is very detailed, and I felt like I was right there with the characters facing what they did. Wonderfully written with amazing characters this is a story that I would highly recommend reading. This is a series of books that should be read in order.

My Tragic Life by Necie Navone is the third book in the My life prequel series. This is only the second book I have read by this author but I was hooked from book one. I went right from book 2 into book 3 and am now reading the series that these books prequel. I really enjoy the characters development and the writing style of this author. I am not generally a fan of prequels, but I have really enjoyed learning more about the characters and their backgrounds. I give this book a solid 5 stars, and will definitely continue to read anything Necie Navone writes!

My Tragic Life by Necie Navone is book 2 of My Life series. This is a five star novel. I love the way the author is able to really get us into the life of an Italian mobster. In the first book, we meet the Family and the Capo. Then we follow Alessandra growing up until she is about fifteen. The second book picks up here and has us even deeper into the life of the Capo and how he treats his family, especially his daughter. She continues to be trained by Uncle Louie and is able to show off her training by beating the boys in her shooting. Now she will star going to family meetings and learn more about what will be required of her when she becomes the Capo. Little does everyone know, she is trying to figure out a plan to escape to America. After her visit there for her birthday, she knows she needs to get out of the life and find true love for herself.

I love this series. I can not wait to see how it ties in with the Brothers of Camelot. This story is a continuation from My Hidden Life. My Tragic Life is about Aless, the daughter of the Capo. The one that will take his place and rule over The Family and all their illegal businesses. Aless doesn’t want the madness and danger that goes along with being the daughter in training. She has been thinking and planning of a way out for a couple of years.

This story is easy to read except when Aless become a killing machine to protect her family. I loved watching her grow and learn through out these two stories. Her feelings about the “men” in her life, especially Grayson and Luigi make me laugh, blush and sigh right along with her. She is probably the strongest female character I have ever read about.

Even though Aless didn’t show much emotion during a rather difficult situation, as a reader I sure cried like a baby. I am looking forward to reading the next book and finding out how Aless gets away or if she changes her mind and rules like her father. I also want to see where the Brothers of Camelot come into play. Definitely recommend this book.

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel by Necie Navone is the second book in the My Life series. In this book we get to see more into the mob life and what it means to be a Princess to a leading family. We also get to see what it means to have an enemy target you for being a part of that family.
The main character of this book is just as strong and interesting to read about as book 1. This book does well to whet your appetite even more. It builds well on book one while leaving you excited for book three. This is a great series and one I would highly recommend reading.

“It’s the blood they shed for the Family, and the devotion they’ve shown that makes them Family.” That is an interesting definition of family by choice vs family of origin. This story is about THE Family (always with a capital F), more specifically about the Princess of the Family and how she grows up.

I know I read about this character in the first book of the “Camelot Series” but it’s been a few books since I’ve read the story and I can’t remember the part she plays. This is her origin story.

The first part of a trilogy, MY HIDDEN LIFE is written in great detail from the protagonist’s 6th bday to her 15th. It is a story that shows the growth, both physically and mentally, of Aless as she moves through her childhood. The secondary characters all play a large role and the story is easy to follow along.

I am so so grateful that I have parts two and three of the trilogy downloaded so I can continue with the story .

My Hidden Life by Necie Navone is A Brothers of Camelot Prequel.
Alessandra learns very early on in her life how dangerous being part of her family can be. It is a lesson she is taught in the most harsh of ways. And yet Alessandra knows that she must step up to be the leader of her family, to be everything she knows she can be and more.
This book was brilliant. It has you hooked immediately. The writing completely draws you in. I liked how the POV varied as it made the book even more interesting. Alessandra was a great character to read about – she was strong and determined. This was a great book and I cannot wait to read more.

The Only One by Necie Navone is book one in the Brothers of Camelot series. So basically there are 12 friends and this is Fitz’ s story. He’s literally a man whore who has a one and done policy. He’s been in love with Isabella for a really long time. Events have pushed them apart etc. I really enjoyed this story. It was a fun read and I really like the author’s style. It was easy to stay up late reading. I especially like Fitz’s meddling mom. Overall I have no complaints and would read others in the series. 4 star rating.

The Only One (Brothers of Camelot, #1)The Only One by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Only One by Necie Navone is a great opening to her Brothers of Camelot series! I fell in love with her writing and I will be reading her My Life Series while waiting for the next installments of the series!
The Only One is the story of Drake “Fitz” and Isabella “Bella” – the Beast and the Beauty …
Fitz is part of a group of twelve boys – Brothers of Camelot – and they have been inseparable since they were kids. They have been able to stay true to their adopted knightly code of the Round Table and they are there for each other, no matter what! And it is not just something theoretical! They formed Camelot Enterprises where each and every one of them has their own role and it does not matter who brought in the most money … I absolutely loved this concept!
Bella is … well, she is this four year old girl that fell in love with a six year old Fitz promising that she will marry him when she grows up …
Well, obviously life does not very often go as we dream so Bella and Fitz got separated when Bella was seventeen and Fitz does not believe himself to be worthy of her so he adopted his infamous “One and Done” man whore principle to carry himself through life … it all grows old though and just before his 26th birthday he decides that it is time to find out where Bella is … but no more about the story, you need to pick it up yourself to find out how the story of the Beast and the Beauty ends!
I loved the writing style and the banter and Bella’s inability to swear! Her tries to swear simply cracked me up! I could not put the story down and read it in one sitting and I am sooo happy that there are 12 “brothers” as now I have 11 more stories to look forward to!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It’s the first in a new series and I will be reading future installments for sure. This was a great set-up introducing “The Brothers of Camelot”.

Each brother has a unique back story and the THE ONLY ONE introduces Fitz and Bella. SWOON. He is a classic Alpha and was fun to read.

Their story is one of humor and romance and friendship. Gosh their friendship is something that is absolutely “pinky swear” worthy.

The story held my attention all the way through and while introducing all of the subcharacters, the author was able to disclose just enough about them to make me super curious.

I look forward to reading more about the “Brothers”.

“These twelve boys were inseparable as they grew up, always together and causing a ruckus. To keep them out of trouble, Mom Gregory had the perfect playground built in her backyard, including a massive tree house. She included a large wooden round table, telling them the story of the Knights of the Round Table. They played knights every chance they could, at first with cardboard shields and swords and then with plastic costume pieces. The neighbors grew accustomed to seeing the boys running through the neighborhood, fighting enemies and for their honor.
The boys adopted a knightly code to always be honest with each other, no matter what, and that all decisions are to be made by unanimous vote. They pledged always to be there when one of them was in need. Pricking their fingers and sealing the pact with a blood oath, they kept their promise from childhood into adulthood
Years later….. they formed Camelot Enterprises. Each Brother found the role that fit them, from Camelot Security to Camelot Bar and Club, Camelot Construction to Camelot Law Firm.
The Brothers have maintained their promise to each other and are just as close as when they were boys playing knights. The round table may have gotten larger, but the pact they made as boys still stands.”

The Only One is the first book in the Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone. Ms. Navone is a new to me author, but one whom I will definitely be following and reading much more of in the future. This was a surprising find, I didn’t expect to like it quite as much as I did. I loved the cover and the blurb intrigued me, so I knew I would enjoy the story- but I wasn’t prepared for the characters and the story to grab me quite as much as they did. I found Ms. Navone to be a wonderful storyteller, weaving a superb story that plucked at my heart strings, while creating characters who really took on a life of their own- coaxing me into their world end enticing me farther and farther into the book, making me need to know how everything works out. Because of this, I found myself reading long into the night, finishing the book in one sitting, just so I could find out what happened. It was easy to forget the world around me while I was glued to the pages, the story had me firmly in its hold….. and I enjoyed every minute!
The book is quite funny, with funny references such as the Henry Peter Longfellow scene, Bella’s cussing attempts (such as, Fudge Boogers) and quite a few funny anecdotes, banter, and teasing. The story was fun and romantic- but there was also an element of suspense and drama that kept things very interesting.
Ms. Navone has a sexy and inviting style that really brought the story to life and added some park and sizzle to the whole thing.
I loved meeting Bella, Drake, and the rest of the cast- and I can’t wait to read the other Brothers of Camelot’s stories! This book has set the whole series off to a wonderful start! Bring on the next book!

Thank you, Ms Navone!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The plot moves at a steady pace and gives us some very likeable and relatable characters. The Brothers of Camelot are a wide assortment of guys that are introduced to the reader and generate an entertaining universe for the reader. This look at Fitz and Isabella provides two strong willed characters that couldn’t be any more opposite. I enjoyed this book and found the plot to move quickly. It grabbed my attention immediately. I will definitely recommend this to others.
