The third book in this installment did not disappoint. There is so much detail in such a short book. Makayla finds herself back at the Grave diggers Acedemy fle the third year, but this time, she isn’t allowed to leave. In the book Makayla continues to grow in her magic and when she is forced to rely on herself, she finds her powers are much stronger than she ever imagined. Small details build up and all culminates in the conclusion of this book. I do not recommend reading this without the first two books; it is definitely not meant as a stand alone.

This is the third book of the series. It just keeps getting better. The school isn’t known as the end of the line anymore it is now known for heroes. There are a lot of strange things happening. She never heard from her friends during break, the gargoyles that guard the school are missing, along with several other people. Will she be able to find everyone or is she in over her head?

Grave Digger Academy IV is Makayla’s fourth year at Grave Digger Academy. This series is starting to get dark! Helpers have been outlawed. Mary Meet is no longer running the GDA. Makayla is in damager of being betrayed with every step. She finds out more about her family ties and starts to learn more magic. This year students are learning about familiars and grimoires. I highly enjoyed this part of the series because of the interesting twists and turns this series is taking. I cannot wait to read the final book in the series, this one ends on a cliffhanger!

Grave Digger Academy II is Makayla’s second year at Grave Digger Academy. This time there is a competition among all the academies. Makayla’s brothers are hoping to beat her school. This book is extremely easy to read. I loved Makayla’s new helper in this tale. I would recommend it for those in middle school but can be enjoyed at older ages as well. Grave Digger Academy I is a short tale about Makayla. She gets sent to the Grave Digger Academy, which just happens to be the last choice that students have. It turns out that she may have unexpected powers that tie back to her family tree. The book has magic, humor, and is easy to read. I felt a touch of Harry Potter due to the magical school setting for young witches. I would recommend it for those in middle school but can be enjoyed if you’re older as well! I look forward to reading the next installment.

The Grave Digger Academy series must be read together, in order, to fully understand what is going on. The books continue to build on each other and book 3 picks up where Book 2 left off. And similar, it ends in a cliff hanging, urging the reader onto book 4. This book was a short story, and is easy to read in a day or two. It is action packed, and there is a lot going on. Makayla is back at the Grave Digger Academy, and must find new helpers. Her friends have pretty much abandoned her after the drama from book 2. While this sucks, it helps her discover her own strengths and build on them, making some new, unexpected friends along the way.

Makayla is back in school and those she thought were friends are keeping a distance while new people are watching Makayla like a hawk. Makayla finds herself being called to an unknown and mystery surrounding the name Peacock has her wondering. A new headmistress and a lot of bans has Makayla without her helpers. Everything is going in a different direction and Makayla is not sure who to trust.
Another wonderful read in this series. Answers to some of the questions begin to present themselves. I love Makayla, she is a bit of a firecracker and I am very intrigued with where the series goes.

Mackayla is back for her third year at Grave Digger Academy and all is not what it was. The student population has dwindled to a select few. Makayla is finding this year is not what she expected and finds a few new allies while her helpers are not around. Dark things are swirling around the Academy and Makayla will be the person who has to find out what is happening.
Another great read in this series. A bit darker than the first two but page turning fun. I liked how the story went, fast paced excitement and Makayla has a few surprises in store for her. Can’t wait for the next book.

After reading the previous book in this series, I could not wait to read the next and jumped straight into the story. It picks up soon after the last one finished and it was so easy to reconnect with the characters. Each story in the series just gets better and better and I always seem to fly through the stories. This book being no exception. I love how original and refreshing this series still is to read. Even after four books it doesn’t feel like it is getting old or boring. The book is exciting to read and I had to read it all in one go to find out what would happen. This is a great book, a great series and one of my favourite authors. I would highly recommend all of their work to any fan of this genre.

It had been a while since I had read a book in this series and I was so excited to get right back into it. It was honestly like I had never put the books down. I was pulled back in straight away and reconnected with the characters with ease. I love the new additions to the book as well. They were great to learn about and added so much more to the story. This book is still such a unique and original concept. It is unusual for me to read a book that is different to anything else I have read and yet every single book I read by this author seems to be just that. This book is as excited and well written as the others in the series and I think it is definitely prompting a reread. This is a fantastic book that I would highly recommend.

Year 3 had me hooked, I couldn’t put it down. I was lucky enough to have some time away from work so I could devour it undisturbed. This book, left me on edge and unsettled quite a bit (in the best way). I truly couldn’t put it down.
This should NOT be read as a stand alone, but I promise the first 2 are fantastic as well. I can’t wait to read book 4.

Despite being such a short book this fourth installment of the Grave Digger Academy series might be my favorite so far! Grave Digger Academy IIII brings in new teachers, new students, and a whole lot of new questions! I absolutely love King’s humor and her use of metaphor. It is so relatable and easily visualized. This book had so many moments that made me stop in my tracks and twists I never saw coming! Such a unique and refreshing series for anyone who likes the supernatural! I for one cannot wait to read Grave Digger Academy five and continue Makayla’s amazing adventure with her helpers and familiars! Such an amazing series I’ve had so much fun reading it so far! Highly recommend it!

Another amazing continuation of the series with book 4! The old and new characters in the story bring to life the Academy. The writing sucks you into the story as if you were there watching and not reading it. I can’t wait to read the next book to continue this bookish adventure!

Grave Digger Academy 4 by CA King is the fourth in the series of the same name. I have enjoyed this series this far but several times in this book I had the question of “why do I feel like I’ve missed something”? That said, I’m always a fan of the series and I enjoyed getting back to the academy. Following Makayla into her fourth year at the academy, there’s a new headmistress, new rules, more students than there’s ever been and a whole slew of new problems. It’s as if no one can be trusted this year and she’s starting to notice students going missing. This seems as if it’s her hardest year. Twists in the plot and a shorter story than usual but still a quick and great read. I’m excited to see what’s to come for Makayla! I’d recommend this series to those looking for a fast paced, clean, and interesting story!

Makayla is back again for another year with so much new stuff this time, from the headmistress, curriculum, disappearances and so much other stuff that just wrong. Makayla is one determined girl to find answers and to figure out what is happening again at this school. Each book has its own adventure and is amazingly put together with world building and detail that it really makes you feel like your right there in the story with her. This book is filled with supernatural, death, witches, secrets, twists and turns, chaos and the unknowing, that it will have you right from the beginning of the story. I really think that stating from the beginning is the best thing, the book evolves with every year that is attended at school. These books will really have you from the beginning wonder what is going to happen next. This series has been very enjoyable.

I enjoyed this installment of this series. Makayla’s continuing adventure as she navigates the magical world and the issues in that world is very intriguing. The author has created a really interesting world and a story that keeps me interested in how it will evolve. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

GDA is the third book in the series. Is best to read the books In order to be able to follow the story line. The characters are so much fun and different from what I expected. The way that magic is portrait is so different from what I’m use to see. I think this books are really good and definitely worth your time.

This has been a really incredible amazing YA paranormal fantasy series. When Makayla is back at school things are what they use to be, teachers and students a like are missing, and the way things were done are not the way they are now. Makayla decides to figure out what is going on and along the way makes new friends and learns new things. I love how the story just flows together and is easy to follow just like the others. I do believe that if you want to you could read all the books by themselves, but it would be more beneficial to start from the beginning. Makayla has been an amazing character and has really grown in the books, and really takes a leadership like lead. This book like all the others is filled with action, mystery, the supernatural, wonderful quirky characters, dramatic developments, tension, intrigue, danger, and plenty of twists and turns.

Grave Digger Academy 4 is the next part of the series by C.A. King. I am loving this series so far, cannot wait for part 5 already. This book is the continuation of Makayla’s story, she is back at school for her 4th year but she is not sure who she can trust. The school has changed so much, new staff, new students and new dangers. Makayla has to work our who is on her side before she takes her next step, with a little help from her relatives. This is such a fun series, I hate having to wait on the next book. I need to know how it will end.

Makayla returns for a fourth year at the Grave Digger Academy, but as soon as she arrives, something is different, there have been some repairs made to the building, but they are only half finished and unfortunately, that can mean only one thing, the rumours she heard over the summer about the Academy are true, but not only that, the loneliness she felt, even though she was surrounded by family is going to continue this year as well. This is confirmed as soon as she walks into the dining hall where the students and teachers are gathered, she can see that they are all staring daggers at her and nobody wants her to sit with them, not even her friends, or at least the ones who are actually there.
This isn’t the only change, classes and teachers are different as well, Makayla is hoping that they will learn something useful this year, but that loneliness comes back when she realises that she cannot summon her helpers again, another drawback to the new changes. There are, however, some positive things for Makayla to look forward to, possible forging a new friendship, answers to her questions and the ability to follow her dreams so that she is able to achieve her goals and make these possibilities, realities.
As usual, things do not go quite to plan for Makayla and her group, but while she is finding the answers she needs, she knows she is being observed and that means that danger is always on the horizon, but can Makayla achieve the answers to her questions and reconnect with her past, so that she can live through the present? This is yet another fantasy adventure across graveyards, both new and forgotten, as well as twists and turns between magical travels and enchanting places.

Grave Digger Academy IV is the fourth engrossing story in the Grave Digger Academy series by the talented C.A. King. It follows on from the previous three Grave Digger Academy stories and continues the adventures of Makayla and all the intriguing events at the mysterious Grave Digger Academy. As we previously discovered, Makayla didn’t really want to attend Grave Digger Academy, at all, but has since had plenty of intriguing and testing adventures. There’s always more to Grave Digger Academy than expected. And in this instalment, Makayla will face some big changes, and more challenges, while also unearthing a few discoveries – about her world, the Academy, and herself – along the way. Welcome to the fourth year of Grave Digger Academy! As expected, this is a wonderful addition to the series, and with the rest of the series- it is a superbly crafted paranormal fantasy with plenty of adventure, action, mystery, magic, the supernatural, wonderful quirky characters, dramatic developments, tension, intrigue, danger, and clever twists and turns. While initially excited and happy when she received her letter to go back to GDA that quickly changes. A bus meant for criminals arrives to take her to the academy, a new Headmistress Ulva Everbleed. The building looked amazing, but half renovated and at a standstill as the Crones took over, putting a stop to everything Mary Meet was doing. More students were present than she had ever seen there before and seeing Leo and Thomas she thinks things will be good. Only they give her the cold shoulder, Cali, and Frankie nowhere to be seen when a bomb is dropped on her emotionally. Only those who received a letter were allowed to return this year, but not everyone received a letter. Most were likely only there as an obligation to protect their families from repercussions if they refused to attend. Everything different, a new set of rules that must be followed and each person assigned to classes and not allowed to change them. Griffin is there and offers a truce, as they seem to only have each other. A warmth fills her with his smile and again as they shake in agreement, he says he will explain things later but then vanishes without a word of explanation. Not one to beat around the bush goes to the new Headmistress, asks about Mary Meet and why helpers aren’t allowed. Told Mary is being interrogated and will return when finished and helpers banned because of control. A parting word of advice to Makayla, stick to classes, slow and steady and watch out for others trying to use her to accelerate their accomplishments. Why is Mary Meet being interrogated? How can she be used to help others accelerate their accomplishments? Why is she always the villain in the Crones stories and rules? Once again, the author takes us deeper into Makayla’s world where nothing is what it seems, and everything is listening with an agenda of their own. She thought this year was finally going to be her year, she had her friends, her magic had come in and she had eight helpers. Day one, helpers gone, friends gone, and her only ally, she hopes, is a guy no one can remember. The mystery and suspense continue to evolve leading to more questions and some answers can’t wait for the next book. Grave Digger Academy V is coming October 1st, 2024. What will Makayla face next?

Year four at the Grave Digger Academy is unlike any other for Makayla. There are more students than last year and there is a new headmistress. There are more new rules compared to last year. Some students were not invited back from previous years and it’s unclear why. The Crones are really honing in on Makayla and her movements. She ends up meeting some unexpected people who help her out along the way. Can she survive this year of school?
Another great read! This one was a bit shorter than the others but still covered a lot of ground. I’m looking forward to year 5!

It’s the start of Makayla’s third year at the Grave Digger Academy. Things are a little different from last year and Makayla feels like she’s a target. First of all, where are all the students? What’s with all the new rules? Makayla knows there’s about to be an adventure and she’s not sure she’s ready to deal with it or the fall out.
I recommend reading this series in order as the background established in previous books is key to understanding what’s happening. Another great read by C.A. King! Now on to book 4!

I am loving this series so far! I definitely recommend reading the books in order so you have the full story. I love that they are quick reads and still give you a full story. Makayla is back at Grave Digger Academy but things are different. Like really different. The year is not going to go as she had planned but when has it ever. She doesn’t know who she can trust and needs friends now more than ever to help her with her plan. When the person she was able to trust last year is nowhere to be found it makes things that much harder. Some new characters are introduced, some likable, some not so much. There was a plot twist I was not expecting and then another that makes me want to read book 5 now! I cannot wait to see where things go!
