Born to Fall (Can’t Resist You Book 2) by Brittany Anne 4 out of 5 stars
As always, I preface my reviews by saying that you should read books in book order. This is book 2 in the Can’t Resist you Series. This is a science fiction; dystopian romance story and it is beautiful. This story is written in multi-point of view (POV) and adds a deep richness to the story that allows the reader to form a connection to the characters. Julia is a fascinating character that is both well written and beautifully heartbroken. Too many things have broken Julia, and she is scared to let anyone close. Derek wants to be close to Julia, but he has both a job and a duty, and he isn’t sure if he is making the right choice by keeping his distance from her. This book is for lovers of romance, sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian, military romance, and strong leading characters. A solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Born to Fight (Can’t Resist You #1) by Brittany Anne
This is the first book I’ve read by Anne. As my first dystopian book I’ve got to say that I’ll be back. Anne has a way of sucking in you into the world she creates.
Rain has been hiding for years. She doesn’t know why she’s helping the man, but she was being nice. Now his wounds are healed. She’s falling for him. The quote I chose for Rain is: “I’ve been cleaning your wounds twice daily for a week now. I’ve been giving you antibiotics, both in the crushed pills and in an ointment I’ve been putting on your wounds. You seem to like the broth more than water, so I’m glad I started giving you that a few days ago. I’m glad you like it.”
Hunter is working far from home. He hears someone calling for help, but when he goes to help she starts screaming worse. He then gets hurt and wakes up in a small house. The quote I chose for Hunter is: “I’m sorry, Sawyer, but I’m not taking those two. This mission is easy, yes, but it’s far. I’m not spending weeks with those two idiots just because you say so.”

Post Apocalyptic romance lovers rejoice! This is a great read. Rain escaped from unfathomable situation in a world after everything went dark and technology ended and has lived completely on her own very successfully in a hidden bunker for 2 years…. until she stumbles upon hunter in a puddle of blood. Despite enjoying her solitude she could resist the call inside her to save him and over time chemistry blossoms and romance blooms between the two which is undeniable….. but they are from opposite worlds. What happens when their peace is broken… can they persevere in this world full of violence and tyrants? can these soulmates find a happy ending?
you will be immediately wanting the next installment the minute this story ends!

Born to Fight, by Brittany Anne, is the first book in the Can’t Resist You series. This is a captivating story that is built upon the most unfortunate of circumstances driving together individuals that are drawn together despite all that is going on around them. I found the sequence of events through the story and how the author laid them out was well thought out. The story was multi-dimensional giving life to the story through the characters and events. Hunter and Rain were exceptional characters from the start of the story. The chemistry was exquisite and the journey was masterful. A great story by Brittany Anne. Can’t wait to read the next book(s) in the series.

Five Star I enjoyed reading this story. The characters were different. The characters represented at a time when people decided to stick up for themselves. The resistance represented people that wanted to change that needed to see a change and that were willing to put their lives on the line to see that change happen. I got in my feelings over Hunter because the way his dad treated him he was so strict he was always beating him down. I understood what he was going for though he wanted his son to realize that strength is finding something to fight for that strength was something other than yourself to live for. Rain was a special character for me because she went out of her safety zone to save Hunter she was so brave and kind and gentle and loving and she’s a Fighter.

Born to Fight (Can’t Resist You #1) By Brittany Anne Rated 5 stars
This is such a good story!! It is fast paced, full of action and suspense. Well…and the romance isn’t too shabby either. It drew me in right at the beginning and I could hardly put this down. I needed to see what was going to happen in this place and to these characters next.
I loved both of the main Characters! Each has some issues and but both grew nicely. I was impressed with Rain. She is a strong, smart, resourceful and impressive. I can’t imagine not seeing a human for 2 years. Hunter is the soldier. It’s all he has ever known…how to fight. He doesn’t know the meaning of the word “Can’t”. Nor has he ever been concerned with “feelings”. When he mentions them to his “brothers”??? It was an interesting conversation because they were all shocked. “Feelings?? Are we allowed to have those?” Made me kind of chuckle.
The secondary characters are an interesting lot. Hunters “brothers” all are great additions and help move the plot along. They are smart, tough and nice but all good looking. I enjoy their time together. I (Hopefully) look forward to them getting their own stories.
This is my first book by this author and I am excited to read more. Especially in this series! The title of the book and the series are perfect. I can see both of them pertaining to this story.

Born to Fight by Brittany Anne is the first book in the Can’t Resist You series, this was my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last. I ended up reading this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. This dystopian read had me truly entertained from start to finish. It’s intense, action-packed, detailed and highly captivating.
I really enjoyed that this story is told in many POV’s along with flashbacks laced throughout, it made me feel fully immersed in the story and like no detail was left out. I can’t wait to continue this series with book 2 once released.
This is a book I would recommend to anyone looking for their next dystopian read!

This is my first book by this author and I found it to be a fast, engaging story from beginning to end. I enjoyed how it left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. I enjoyed the creative characters that made me feel part of the story. Hunter and Rain are strong characters that have a great connection, both just trying to survive in this world. They brought suspense and question of survival. I highly recommend reading this book.

Born to Fight is the first book in the Can’t Resist You series by Brittany Anne. This story took me by surprise I must say. I knew from the synopsis that I would like the book, but I didn’t expect it to be quite as fascinating as it turned out to be. This is a Sci-fi story with a definite apocalyptic and dystopian theme. It’s an action-packed adventure full of drama, danger, suspense, some mystery, passion, secrets, sparks, sizzle, heat, and hope. I read the book in an afternoon, glued to the pages to discover how it all plays out. I didn’t want to put it down until I’d read every last word. That’s how much the story gripped me. Rain has been on her own, in an old abandoned bunker she’s turned into her home, for the past two years. She has her routine and she’s content to stay right where she is, where she feels safe. Her world changes in an instant when she goes to the river one day, only to discover an unconscious and badly wounded man, barely alive. She can’t leave him to die, so she drags him back to her bunker, tends to his wounds and begins nursing him back to health. But as time goes on, she begins to wonder if it was the smartest thing to do, as she’s exposed herself now and placed herself at risk- she doesn’t know a thing about him, he could be the enemy for all she knows. Hunter Kane is one of the leaders of the Resistance- was born to be a fighter, but had no choice really. With the world the way it was, people depended on him to keep them safe, so he did what he’d been trained to do, fight for the cause- to win back his world. When a mission goes wrong, Hunter is badly wounded, and left for dead. He thinks his time is up, so he’s quite surprised when he wakes up many days later with a beautiful woman tending to him. He’s immediately drawn to her, and as he recovers he begins to imagine what life might be like if he didn’t have all the responsibility and expectation on him. But he has people depending on him, and all he’s ever known is the ‘fight’. He doesn’t need the distraction of a relationship. Plus, he knows she’s keeping secrets and wonders what they might be. What happens when he discovers what her secrets are, and who she really is? When danger finds them, what will they do? Do these two have any chance of finding happiness in a war-torn and dangerous world? Will Rain find somewhere she finally belongs? You really should read all the exciting developments for yourself, you are sure to love it as much as I have! This really was a fantastic read! It was exciting, steamy and emotional- with heartbreaking details, touching and tender scenes, sweet and romantic moments, and edge-of-your-seat-suspense…. that all blended into an entirely addictive story. This is told from multiple POV’s, so the reader really gets an immersive reading experience, getting the ‘full’ picture of what’s been, or is, going on. There are some flashbacks that help to build the backstory and to also set the stage for the main ‘events’. The story has a fast pace and a smooth flow, making it an easy read. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book/s in this series, because if this book was anything to go by, the rest of the series is set to be incredible!
