As always, I preface my reviews by saying that you should read books in book order. This is book 2 in the Can’t Resist you Series. This is a science fiction; dystopian romance story and it is beautiful. This story is written in multi-point of view (POV) and adds a deep richness to the story that allows the reader to form a connection to the characters. Julia is a fascinating character that is both well written and beautifully heartbroken. Too many things have broken Julia, and she is scared to let anyone close. Derek wants to be close to Julia, but he has both a job and a duty, and he isn’t sure if he is making the right choice by keeping his distance from her.
This book is for lovers of romance, sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian, military romance, and strong leading characters. A solid 4 out of 5 stars.
