Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a brilliant retelling of the classic Cinderella story. It is a reimagining that I have not read anything like before.
This whole story was written in a way to capture your heart. The characters were complex and interesting and yet had a sweet side to them. With every page I found myself becoming more invested in them.
The story I found to be unique and well written. I have read plenty of retellings of Cinderella and yet none before have been with the characters in reverse. For me this made the whole reading experience more exciting.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and one I would highly recommend.

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown was a sweet, entertaining reverse fairytale retelling, that stole my heart.

I love fairytale retellings, and this one wasn’t only unique but it was fresh, modern, and had all the magic of the original. The only thing that I think would have made this story all the more amazing, an epilogue. Just a little something to us know, that their dreams came true.

I will say that this book is a little darker then your normal sugar sweet retelling, and I like that little bit of a twist. There was just something about them that made me root for them. I loved how is wasn’t just love at first sight, they connected, spent time together, and actually developed proper feelings for one another. The ball at the end was a nice nod, and I loved the entrance scene, I got chills!

Overall this book is a wonderful retelling that will play on that childhood nostalgia. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that, you will fall head over heels for this fuzzy read.

Happy Reading

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a unique and clever take on a modern day Cinderella fairytale. It is a quick read but a fun read and is sweet and cute. This tale is full of hopes and dreams, a little magic and a sweet romance. It is funny and heartfelt and at times a little sad.

Ash has been treated poorly by his father and brothers but he has his pet pig, Gus. When a knock on his door one night provides for an interesting tale, he doesn’t realise that it would turn out to be his quirky old fairy godfather. He also doesn’t realise that a strange woman in his home would turn out to be a princess.

Anyone who loves a fairy tale will fall in love with this modern day and role reversal version.

I am a sucker for a fairy tail and even more so for a new take on a classic. This book was an enjoyable take on one of my favorites. I felt that the tale took some nice deviations from the original and yet stayed true to its roots. Who doesn’t want to have their happily ever after? All in all, this was a sweet adventure and perfect for a cozy afternoon.

I thought that Cinderfella was a great read! I love how authors are taking transitional fairy tales and adding a new unique twist to them and Ms Brown definitely did that with this story! I thought that it was a great twist and made the story really fun to read.
I loved all of the characters, well with the exception of a few, but I absolutely adored Gus! I thought the author came up companion for Ash! Ash was as had hoped he would be – a sweet and genuine person! I loved it when he met Ellie! I loved the romance, the sweet tender moments
I think that anyone who is a fan of Cinderella will love this unique and modern re-telling! I know I did!! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown has a fairy tale story with a twist. Kristy Brown did an amazing job of taking Cinderella and putting a new twist. I enjoyed this story because it was a simple novel and not one where you had to focus on every word to figure out about who did what/where or how/why everything is being done. With the roles reversed, there is a country young man Ash, who is being treated unfairly by his step-father and step brothers. Then there was beautiful young woman, Ellie who is bashful and is trying to escape from the wealth and her responsibilities. Will Ash find Ellie and save her or will Ellie find Ash and save him?

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a creative spin on a classic tale. The modern elements of this story were uniquely done along with the magical elements. It is inspiring at its core along with the character chemistry, drama, suspense and possibly a happily ever after? One farm boy with two stepbrothers versus one titled girl, you just want to read it due to the differing dynamic to that classic story we all have heard. This story has some depth to it too with goals and dreams. I found in reading this story that it was sweet, yet alluring at the same time. It begged to be read and it’s a cute story with dynamic telling as the story unfolds.

I wanted to like this story more than I did. It started out cute and sweet; from the play on their names ( Ash and Ellie), the runt pot bellied pig, to their meet cute, but somewhere along the way it became something I wasn’t interested in reading. While I am not the target audience I typically enjoy contemporary fairy tales.

I always appreciate the effort a writer puts into creating a story as I am not someone who could do it. While this one didn’t tickle my fancy, it might be perfect for you.

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a bit of a twist on the fairytale of Cinderella. Ms. Brown has gender swapped the roles and given a modern spin, and her own unique flare to the story- making it both captivating and interesting.
Ash lives in a barn with his adorable pot-bellied-pig, Gus. His step father and step-brothers treat him badly and he hasn’t got things easy. So, what happens when a beautiful woman turns up at the barn, needing help?
Ellie is running from the weight of her responsibilities when she finds herself at Ash’s barn. He’s sweet, kind, and sexy- so what happens when Ms. Brown adds a little splash of magic? This is well worth the read to find out!
This story is as sweet as cherry pie- but well balanced with a little humour, some emotion, touching moments, and wonderful romance.
Very enjoyable!

Thank you, Ms. Brown!

This is a cute story filled with magic, romance, hopes and dreams. I enjoyed the characters and could *feel* their problems. I really felt sorry for Ash. All that he has endured from his step brothers and family. His continued positive attitude and happy face surprised me at times. I guess it just took years for him to accept his lot and find the good in everything. I commend him. Princess Elle was a surprise. Her irritation for the castle, her duties and shockingly the “airs” that she didn’t put on. I guess the grass always does look greener on the other side no matter what the situation.

This line below spoken between the pair slay-ed me.

Princess:
“Don’t look at me!
No one is supposed to see me like this”

Ash:
“I’m great at being nobody”

What Ash is really saying is “don’t worry I’m used to being invisible and have no one to tell” as well as trying to alleviate her worries and make her feel better. So heartbreaking and lovely at the same time.

This is a first time author for me. She did a wonderful job. The story flowed and she made me care about the characters. I love that it’s filled with a good vs evil theme throughout the whole book.

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a twist on a classic fairy tale. Ash is a boy who doesn’t have it all. Ellie comes from luxury and is missing her glass slipper. What happens when the two meet? I always enjoy new takes on classic stories. This was no different. The story is sweet and I was wanting the happily ever after for the two of them. This was a fun, light read during a hectic week. It gave me a break from reality and allowed me to relax and recharge. I look forward to reading more from Kristy Brown in the future.

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown. This is a retelling of Cinderella where the boy is the poor outcast step child and the girl is rich, confident and beautiful. Ashley aka Ash lives in the barn with his pig Gus after his adoptive mom dies and he is outcast by his father and brothers. A girl ( Ellie) comes to the door of the barn and asks for help in finding her glass shoe and because she hurt her ankle. He helps her and then the sparks fly. Its a sweet fantasy romance that will keep you turning the pages. I loved the sweet characters of Ashley and Ellie but felt bad for them because everyone else was against them. This is a fun romance that will stick with you after you are done. Read Cinderfella for a feel good story!

This story is well written and has a creative take on this fairytale. This is about a woman who has everything and he is a farm boy, who is her opposite. What will happen when she comes upon his barn and their worlds collide like no other? Oh, and she is on the run. They are great characters that made me laugh, feel compassion and I found myself hoping they would find their HEA. They made the story come to life and kept me turning pages. I enjoyed this book, I highly recommend it.

The story Cinderfella is a fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that is sweet, romantic, and hooked me in from the very beginning. The story is wonderful, the characters are well-developed, and I couldn’t help but care about the farm boy and the girl who is on the run. They are characters that I was rooting for to find happiness. The farm boy is handsome, hardworking, and cares about others. The girl has all the luxuries in life. What happens when there two worlds collide? Read this book to find out. There are moments that make you laugh, smile, and are heartwarming. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth. Add in a bit of magic and you have the perfect tale that you won’t want to put down until you have read the last page. This is a wonderful telling of a story. I highly recommend reading it.
