I really enjoyed this but there were a lot of things that were really bothersome. I felt like Jake was very domineering but he does get better as the book goes on. Sandy started out as a badass woman who didn’t need a man, but becomes more insecure as the book went on. I did enjoy the whole family drama aspect of the book and I would definitely read the about the other brothers of the Clark family!

This is a story of two people that have been hurt in the past and have a hard time trusting their feelings. The thing I like about this book is the humor. It is not often that a love story makes us laugh. It felt good. I recommend this book. In our current times laughter is always welcome.

Tells the story of Sandra, a nurse who spends her weekends helping out at her mother’s bakery. One weekend, she is delivering a cake to a client’s party and meets Jacob Clark. The attraction is instant.

If you enjoy books like Fifty Shade of Gray, you probably will enjoy this book. Sola writes a very steamy story, that addresses class differences, race, and the pain of being betrayed by the ones closest to you.

I think writing a book is a huge accomplishment and I can see why others might like this one, I don’t think this book was for me. The romanticization of an abusive relationship is a theme I have never really been able to get behind.

“Crave” is a soap opera in book form. The romance is strong and sexy, the families are strong and crazy, and the characters are strong and stubborn. This book was one of my favorite romance novels by far. It was funny, addicting, and filled with hot, lusty love scenes. The fact that the relationship was one that deals with race and different backgrounds is a wonderful touch to this book. The family’s interactions with each other and the main characters were priceless. The different relationships happening between families makes this book relatable to everyone. I loved this book and I recommend it to anyone who loves drama. In this book, all are welcome, and there’s something in it for everybody.

Crave (Clark Family Series) by Evelyn Sola. I loved this book. Its sexy, funny, heartwarming, everything a good romance should be. Its the story of Sandy who is a pediatric nurse living her best life. She goes out with her friends, loves her job and thinks life is much better without the drama of a man. That’s the perfect plan until she meets JD(Jacob) delivering a cake for her mom. Jacob has a huge chip on his shoulder because he was betrayed by his girlfriend and brother. He has made up his mind that women are off limits. They are nothing more than drama and heartache. Trouble seems to follow Jacob and his plan to only have one night stands from now on dissolves when he sees Sandy. He has to have her. While at the party Jacob attacks his own brother over another woman and Sandy is disgusted. She knows Jacob is not what she needs but he is determined and their chemistry is off the charts. Will Jacob finally break down Sandy’s wall and get inside her heart? Read Crave to find out!

Crave is the first book in the Clark Family series by Evelyn Sola. I absolutely loved this book and the drama it brought with it. I pretty much devoured this book in one day only because once I dove in I had to know how everything was going to play out. This isn’t my first read by this author and definitely not my last. This is Jacob and Sandra’s story. The moment these two meet the chemistry is ridiculous between but because of past issues and betrayal from his brother and sil theres trouble before they even really get a chance to get started. Can they have a future together? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.

Crave : An Instant Attraction Romantic Comedy (Clark Family Series) by Evelyn Sola

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Sola. Crave is a great book and I can’t wait for more. She has a certain way of writing her stories that make you fall in love.

Sandy is filling in for her cousin at her mom’s bakery when she has to deliver something last minute. When she gets there she’s invited to stay. Family conflict happens and it leaves Sandy confused. The quote I chose for Sandy is: “Oh, please. I did not promise, and if he wanted a date with me, he wouldn’t have left me standing in the middle of the dance floor.”

Jake shows up to his mom’s birthday party only to meet the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. He follows her around trying to get her attention after she blows him off. Will he get the chance to explain before it’s too late? The quote I chose for Jake is: “Are you saying you’ve never been in love before, Sandy?”

Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.

Crave by Evelyn Sola (the first book in the Clark Family Series) was a great read! The cover is what initially drew me in, and once I started reading I couldn’t put this book down! Full of drama, steamy romance, and some slight mystery (at least at the beginning) this was a very entertaining ride and read from beginning to end. This book had me laughing and crying. It was so beautiful and the attraction between Jake and Sandra cannot be denied. I was absolutely enthralled with this book. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

This was my first book by Evelyn Sola. In this book our main characters are Sandy and Jake. Sandy is a nurse and doesn’t need any one to swoop in and “save” her, she takes care of herself just fine. Jake Clark is from “old money” and a family owned business that’s been around awhile. This tale is a love story and how different people and different situations can either help or hurt your relationship.

Crave: An Instant Attraction Romantic Comedy (Clark Family Series) by Evelyn Sola is a book full of romance and humor. The romance is intense while the comedy can’t be help but put a smile on your face.

Sandra and Jake meet unexpectedly at a party. The drama she promised herself never to get involved in chooses to walk away hoping never to see him again. Jake up for chase will chase her down to the end of the earth to make her his. He has a hard past but that won’t stop him from getting what he wants. Sandra wants him but won’t admit it

This is the first book in the series and there are two more. I can’t wait to read them. I couldn’t get enough of the romance and passion. When I first started the book it took me by surprise I didn’t want to put it down.

They have gone through some trials over the years, but as Jake and Sandy’s love story grows, the family begins to heal. This story will definitely make you laugh and maybe even shed a few tears. This is the story of Jacob Clark and Sandra Etienne, they have a past, but she doesn’t want a future after the incident at the party where she walked away, but Jacob has other ideas and is determined to win her back.

The story starts with Jacob, ridding himself of an alcohol fueled one night stand, while not leaving a good impression while he does it, finally, he feeds and walks his dogs before washing the night away in the shower and while watering his plants, he fields a call from his best friend to find out what happened and why he brought someone home. He asks his friend whether he is going to be at Jacob’s mums birthday later on that day and unfortunately, he can’t because he is working, he doesn’t have the time, but he reminds Jacob not to act like an ass while he is there.

It is saturday and as usual Sandra is helping her mum out at her bakery because her cousin hasn’t turned up again, but she is annoyed because it means that she will be late for her monthly girl’s night with her best friends, so as she is getting ready, she asks her mum what she needs doing. It turns out that it is a delivery to one of her mum’s biggest clients, a well to do family who she caters for both their private and public events, so as she heads over in the van and when she gets there she meets the lady of the house and is enveloped in a welcoming embrace and is invited to stay for the party in order to meet her son’s doctor friend, but they are distracted when a male voices comes up to them and it is one of her sons, Jacob. As she turns round to meet him, she realises that the body and face are definitely as sexy as his voice and she can’t pull her gaze away from him, even when his mum is still talking about fixing her up with his friend until she leaves them to go and finish getting ready for her party. As they survey each other and flirt like there is nobody else there, they walk over to the bar and continue the banter until his dad appears and breaks the moment by enveloping him in a bear hug and asking Sandra to keep him out of trouble after a conversation which Jacob doesn’t appear to enjoy.

As Sandra and Jacob tour his house and look at family photo’s and the destinations in them, Sandra keeps going back to the fact that they are from completely different sides of the tracks, but nonetheless, they continue to flirt and things start to get heated. As more people arrive for the party, Sandra is introduced to more family and friends and everything seems to be going well until two of Jacob’s brothers arrive and the atmosphere turns cool. The family dynamics start to show through and Sandra can see that something has happened between them, the brothers can’t stand to be around each other, even though one is trying to be friendly and their parents are trying to keep the situation under control. When Jacob drags her away from the scene, they go to the kitchen until it is time to eat where she is invited to dine with them, where the two talk about her family and job, but when Jacob’s brother’s wife turns up, the atmosphere becomes downright icy. As they finish eating, Jacob invites Sandra to dance and they do, until Sandra sees that Tracy is pregnant and asks Jacob when she is due, this turns out to be a dreadful mistake and Jacob flies over in a rage and has a verbal altercation with his brother, at this point Sandra can’t take her eyes of the argument, but when the punches fly, Sandra escapes and decides that she doesn’t need Jacobs kind of trouble in her life, but when Jacob turns up to the bakery the Saturday after and asks for the date she agreed to, she has to make a decision.
Will Sandra and Jacob be together, or will his past troubles bleed into his current relationship? Can they overcome their barriers and let the other in, or will the walls be too high to climb?
This is a romance with more than just the usual barriers, but the characters keep you invested and wanting more.

I have had the chance to check out a holiday novel by Evelyn Sola a few months ago, and I enjoyed it. I knew this might be a bit different but holy cow the angst was real and the drama in this book was not only thick and entertaining it was full of a meaningful topic both to myself personally and the rest of the world right now. I loved how this interracial couple faced the obstacles and tribulations head on together. It was blatant this is a topic close to Sola’s heart because she never once shied away from the things to sugar coat and make it an easy read. I was gripped from page one and could not put this book down until I knew how it ended. The Clark family along with Jacob and Sandy will draw you in and hold you captive as you cheer for them to find their happily ever after. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the Clark Family Series.

Crave is book one in the Clark Family series by Evelyn Sola. I was inquisitive from the very first moment I laid eyes on this book. Then my desire for more became insatiable the further I got into the story. The author sated my appetite for perfection with this amazing, emotional and soul deep love story. Crave had every emotion imaginable and then more. It had just more everything. This story was about captivation from the very moment Sandra and Jacob set gazes on one another. The story was about not looking for love and finding it at the most unexpected moment. It was about betrayal, family, friendship and forgiveness. Anticipation was a feeling I was very familiar with while on this journey with the Clark Family. Jacob and Sandra were from totally different worlds, yet despite their different upbringing and lives, formed such a connection, that it makes my heart so full just reliving their journey. Their love was endless and absolute. Their struggles and differences just made me fall for them more. They fought for each other. They fought with each other. They conquered their world together. I absolutely loved each characteristic of every player in the game, and cannot wait for more in this series. Evelyn Sola’s deliverance of this unforgettable love story is commendable. I applaud you, dear author, as you have given me as a reader a special gift, and it’s one I will never forget. 5 stars.

Fantastic story! I loved everything about this book, the characters, the story line and especially all the drama and romance! Sandy and Jacob’s relationship is the cutest and sweetest, I love how they interact with each other and the love they show. I love that this is an interracial love story, I pictured Sandy as a beautiful Haitian woman and the way she is described, she deserves only the best when it comes to love. All of the characters that make her doubt herself and her relationship with Jake really started to make me mad, Carol, from Jake’s work, the hostess at the restaurant and even her ex boyfriend, the points they made or the things they said were uncalled for and obnoxious. Her ex boyfriend, it is easy to see he just said the things he did because he was jealous that she moved on without him. I was so happy to see Jake squash all her doubts and repeatedly show and tell her that he loved her the most. This couple is just fantastic and I really look forward to see what comes next, maybe Jake’s baby brother.

Crave, book 1 in the Clark Family series by Evelyn Sola was FULL of FAMILY DRAMA! Sandra and Jacob had so many obstacles in their relationship that I could see this story playing out in a Soap Opera. Crave is a fantastic contemporary romance by Evelyn Sola and is the first book in the Clark Family series. I had never previously read any of this author’s work so was unsure what to expect. What I can say now is that I would definitely read more of their work as I absolutely loved this book.
I absolutely adored both of the main characters Jacob (Jake) and Sandra (Sandy, Dee, DeeDee…Lol). This is very much an opposites attract story. Jake comes from a very wealthy family, whereas Sandy comes from a ‘normal’ hardworking, everyday family.
I loved that this was an interracial romance and that all of those in Jake’s family did not bat an eyelid about the fact that he was having a relationship with a black woman. She was welcomed into his family with open arms. I also loved how sensitive Jake was to Sandy’s worries about the big difference in wealth and their racial difference. He was sweet and understanding with her and did everything possible to allay her fears.
The whole family dynamic makes this a fantastic read. The Clark family may have all the money in the world but it’s not a harmonious family. The storyline around the family dynamic (I don’t want to give spoilers) make this a gripping and enthralling read. It’s most definitely a ‘page-turner’.
I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this book to others. I LOVED it!

I really enjoyed this story. It is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. There are so many relationshipship dynamics in this book that you really feel drawn into it completely. No family is perfect but the other manages to take two people with troubled past together and it works.

Jacob has had bad relationships. After being hurt and decieved by his brother and his sister in law it has left him bitter and angry towards everyone including his brothers. There is always arguments when ever they are together because Jacob is carrying so much pain and can’t let it go.

Sandy is a hardworking woman. Who isn’t looking for a relationship. Especially not with someone with a lot of drama. That is until she meets Jacob.
After their first meeting the attraction and connection between them is instant however with both of them dealing with pasts and the drama of the families can they work things out to be together or will their pasts keep destroying any chance of them having a future.

This is a well developed story where the characters bring the story to life as well as off the charts chemistry. I had no problems connecting with the characters. They made the story engaging and easy to read. This is Sandra and Jacob’s story. After she meets Jacob, she realizes he is dangerous for her. Jacob can’t get her out of his head. Their story turns into a chase between them but does she want to get caught? What does fate have in store for them? I really enjoyed them and they certainly made the story entertaining for me. When your mother asks for a favour you have to say yes, so why when she walked into the party to deliver the cake she feels vulnerable. Then when the birthday girl asks you to stay and then introduces you to her son, this is not going to end good or is it?

Sandra is getting ready to go out with her girls, it Friday night time to party but when her mom asks her to deliver a birthday cake to one of her best clients, Sandra can only oblige. Once at the party Lil whose party it is asks her to stay and introduces her to her son, Jacob. Sandra has an instant attraction to Jacob but can they see where this delicious chemistry goes or will it be a missed encounter.

Jacob is broken, he has had betrayal from not only family but from love, he hides his heart in a vault of stone and never lets its out. His encounters are all of the one night stands, where he gets what he needs and nothing more, but he has been invited to his mother birthday party which he real does not want to go to as family affairs are either awkward or end up in fights, so Jacob tries to stay away as much as possible but he decides to show his face and then leave. As he is milling around the party his mother introduces him to Sandra and within that first encounter his hearts starts to thaw and he feels he wants to get to know this woman better.

As the story goes on you get to see the chemistry build as Jacob pursues Sandra and how the story weaves between the family dynamic of Jacob and will he be able to let go of the bitterness and pain that has him wallowing for years and is Sandra the woman to smash through the wall.

I loved this story, it is great to see a male character vulnerable and broken and is not afraid to show this side to them. The chemistry between the two main characters was brilliant and the banter at time was wonderful. I loved the character of Sandra who was independent and sassy and took not crap from Jacob even though he was relentless at times pursuing her. This was a gripping story which had me hooked and I could not turn the pages fast enough.

I have really mixed feelings where this book is concerned. I really like Jake and Sandy but I felt like Tracy had a bit too much focus on in this book. It felt like some scenes dragged to the point where they could have been left out in the book. At times Sandy felt way too judgemental that did at times make me want to punch her. At times I felt the secondary characters were more the main characters which probably shouldn’t have happened.

The story was full of angst, family drama, some humour, and sizzle. Overall it was an okay read for me. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either. Loved some of the story the characters were okay.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book! It is family drama that makes you question a few things. Something that is never thought about. When certain family members are fighting how does it affect everyone else? Choosing sides? Ignoring? Or just never visit? This story took me on a journey. It involves a family that has been broken apart and a girl who could be the answer everyone seeks.

This story just would not let go of me! I wanted answers and I couldn’t put this down until I had them all. The characters are misguided, flawed and all looking for something. They are all simply delightful from the two MC to their respective families. I want to give a shout out to Sandra’s mother. She brought some joy to this and made me smile whenever she encountered those boys.

That epilogue!!! OMG I cracked up! Such a great ending plus setting up another book. Perfect!

I just really loved this and look forward to more from this series or this author.

I found myself invested into Jake and Sandra’s story. It came off the pages so real and full of so many emotions.
The chemistry between Sandra and Jacob is present from the first time they see each other. However, previous betrayal from his brother has Jacob bringing old baggage into the mix before they really have a chance. The back and forth between these characters is both raw and believable. It has a comedic aspect while also tackling some real issues that other author’s skim over.
After getting through the book, I am interested to read the other books in the series.
