This is a super quick and easy holiday read. The holidays are always stressful, more so when you’ve suffered a traumatic event so close to them. In this novella, we have 2 stories-2 women, 2 holidays, 2 horrific past events. Each woman comes full circle and gets her happy ending after confronting the issues that keep her from fully healing. Great job. 5 stars.

5-Stars
Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent was a light romantic holiday read. I lost myself in this short collection and read it in one sitting. Noelle and Eve were amazing characters. I loved Noelle’s story the most and how she overcame her holiday trauma. It was such a sweet read. I enjoyed how despite her issues with Christmas, she pushed through for love. That story had a happy ending that had me bubbling over with joy. I really enjoyed this book and loved that it took me away from some personal holiday craziness. I highly recommend it!

The first one was a 3.5 read for me. It is about a woman whose past defines her present. It bothered me that this seemingly successful woman hadn’t dealt with her 8 year old self yet and lived in such an extreme state for so long.
The second story was a 5 star read for me. A classic holiday romance.
Both stories were quick and easy to read and while the first wasn’t my cup of tea, it was still a well written story. review by @mauraharper

Two heartwarming tales of love and redemption. And snow.
Noelle’s Promise
Does your past define the future?
Noelle has one cardinal rule─never, ever celebrate the holidays. But now she’s promised to spend them with her boyfriend, Logan, and his extended family. As the festivities begin, bad memories surface. She manages to suppress her anxiety and join in the celebrations, until an unexpected incident sends her fleeing into the night. Can she overcome her past before it ruins her future?
Eve’s Hope
Can a holiday be unlucky every year?
When her heater goes out in the middle of a rare Atlanta snowstorm, reclusive Eve accepts the invitation to her handsome neighbor’s party. Expecting to be bored to tears, she encounters a few surprises before the countdown to midnight begins. Can she survive just one New Year’s Eve without her bad luck kicking in?
A true believer in the power of love, Renee writes stories of mismatched people who beat the odds to be together. Whether fighting the supernatural or their own inner demons, her characters will always find their way to a happy ending.
Renee lives in Atlanta with her husband, three cats and four turtles. When not working or writing, she can be found sitting on her deck enjoying nature. Wine may or may not be involved….

This is my third book by this author and once again I loved it..I think my favorite part right now is that I read it when the holidays are approaching and it seriously helped me get into the spirit. Of the two short stories I think Noelle’s Promise was my favorite. It was a story full of alot of feelings and my heart went out to her all the way through. Although quite short and I would have loved a lot more it still felt like a full and complete story. I loved how patient Logan was throughout and his family was awesome!
I also enjoyed Eve’s Hope but did not connect to that quite as easily, that one felt a bit rushed and before I knew it I was done..I think I’d have loved that had there been more story involved. I did really like the fact that one story focussed on Christmas and the other New Years.
I read this in one sitting and can not wait for more from this author.

The perfect novella to get you in the holiday spirit. This is a quick and easy read that you will want to finish without leaving your seat (and easily succeed). I love Regent’s way with words and her character development. This novella is a feast for the heart and soul. Simply delightful!

Running in Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent is a super quick and easy read. The book is made up of two short stories set around Christmas and the New Year. I enjoyed both of these stories, and they were well written, but I wanted them to be longer, so I could fully immerse myself in them and find out more about the characters, backstories, and background information.
Noelle’s Promise Noelle has some really bad memories which centre around Christmas- so she decided a very long time ago that she would never celebrate the holiday ever again. But with boyfriend Logan now a huge part of her life- she has agreed to spend Christmas with him, AND his family. She is anxious about it all, especially when the festivities cause her memories and issues to bubble to the surface. Things come to a head and escape seems to be her only option. But she soon realises that she will continue to be stuck in the past and unable to embrace the future until she faces/deals with her past. A sweet story and emotive story!
Eve’s Hope Eve has major issues with New Year’s Eve, as she considers it jinxed. The unluckiest night of the year for her. So, the best thing to do is batten down the hatches and stay home. But you know what they say about the best laid plans… Circumstances soon have her accepting an invitation to her neighbor’s party- which she expects will be a flop. But is it? Will this be the New Year’s Eve that surprises her- the one that changes everything- the one that she will definitely remember? Well worth the read to find out.

Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella By: Renee Regent 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the two stories in this book. They will get you in the holiday spirit and are two sweet stories to read. They are romantic and will have you believing in the holiday spirit. One story will have you asking if your past define your future and the other if a holiday will be unlucky every year. I loved reading about the characters of Noelle and Eve. They are both characters that believe that their situation around the holidays will not change. Is that true? What does the future hold for Noelle and Eve? Read these novellas to find out. The stories did have my emotions going up and down as I was reading them. There are romantic moments and also heartwarming ones as well. Don’t miss out on two stories that you will not be able to put down until the end. I highly recommend reading them.

Running In Snow – A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent comprises of two very, very short stories that are easy to read but both are heart wrenching to some degree. One is set around Christmas eve and the other New Years eve. They are we written but I would have liked to see them as longer stories.
Noelle’s Promise Noelle does not do Christmas but when she falls in love she tries hard. After fleeing a party she realises that she needs to deal with her past before she can move forward.
Eve’s Hope Eve hates New Years eve, nothing ever goes right for her so a night in it is but when she answers her door it turns out that this may actually be a night to remember.

Running in Snow by Renee Regent is a collection of two Christmas novellas. If you like holiday romance the. I would say these are great books to read. They are short but sweet reads that are bound to get you in the festive mood. I really enjoyed these books. I liked the fact that even though thy we were short it didn’t feel like the stories were lacking in anyway. The basis of them were great and I loved the main characters. Eve and Noelle were different to each other so it didn’t feel like a regurgitation of the same. This was a great read and a brilliant way to kick start my festive reading.

Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent. The first book is Noelle’s Promise which is about Noelle who hates the Holidays. This year she has promised her boyfriend Logan and his daughter Lily that she will spend the Holidays with them and their extended family. She actually does ok through the party until one family member gets a little loud and brings back bad memories from Noelle’s childhood. She runs out and leaves Logan, Lily and the other members of his family wondering why? In the second book Eve’s Hope, Eve doesn’t like Holidays either and of course this New Year’s Eve is no exception, her heat goes out. So against her better judgement she accepts her neighbors invite to his party. At least she gets to go to a warm house right? While she’s there she starts unloading on her neighbor. Will he think she’s completely insane? Read this sweet Novella to get into the Holiday spirit!

These are two sweet holiday romance stories. They will warm your heart and keep you reading to the end. The characters are connectable and I could relate to them. Eve feels she is not so lucky during the holidays and than you have Noelle whose past has influenced how she feels about the holidays. Is it possible that these two will overcome their feelings so have a merry holiday? I highly recommend this book, these two women will boost your holiday spirit.

Small Town Hero: Small Town Brides (Book 1) by Kim Koby
Small Town Hero by Kim Koby is a clean romance following Rebecca after she discovers her fiancé in bed with her best friend. She leaves and just drives until the point of exhaustion. After pulling off at a gas station to fill up and rest she wakes up 4 hours later to a car that refuses to start. After harassing her for loitering Ryan takes it upon himself to help her. After discovering that the nearest hotel is closed down for remodeling he offers to let her stay at his place in the guest room. Little does he know how much this small gesture would impact both of their lives.
I was amazed at how well Rebecca handled everything. If I were in her place I probably would have shut down and fallen into a world of despair. I loved how she was able to move past everything and even bring new joy into Ryan’s life. This beautiful novel was well written and clean. It focused mostly on n renewal but also shared how important the main characters faith was. I really enjoyed this novel and give it an easy 5-star rating.

This was my first read by this author and while it was a quick read, i was drawn in from beginning to end. You get some good character development along with a great story. Rebecca is engaged until she walks into his home and finds him with her best friend. She does what anyone else would do, she runs, but doesn’t expect to drive for 10 hours from New Jersey to Tennessee. When her car breaks down and a nice man named Ryan offers his help and a place to stay, while reluctant, Rebecca takes him up on his offer. I really enjoyed this sweet, but quick story. Cant wait to read more in this series. @lyndseyfairley
