Silk Road: Code Raven 6 by Lynda Filler – Review by Erica Fish

SILK ROAD (Code Raven, #6)SILK ROAD by Lynda Filler

Personal Disclaimer: Make sure that everyone from a spouse right down to the fuzzy little creatures are taken care of because once you start you cannot quit these books.

Hooray, hooray the gangs all here!!

Ms. Filler did not hold back and punches with The Raven Group. Luke was planning some R&R for Samaar/Luci and himself on some remote little island where they can get some R&R and some romance as well. Guess who plans got postponed! That’s right The Raven Group. They are on case to find a missing teenage girl. This will be a great case for them because it has corruption written all of over it. With Ms. Filler’s book they get better and better. This one was off the charts. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for The Raven Group next.

SILK ROAD (Code Raven, #6)SILK ROAD by Lynda Filler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I’ve read in this series and while it is the sixth book, I was able to easily distinguish who is who based on the guide on page one and the detail given with each character’s introduction. I never had that “lost feeling” while reading SILK ROAD.

Even though this is fiction, it makes me sad that all of the elements of the story are, in fact, true and “we” have just turned a blind eye to it because “it’s not my family”.

The story held my attention from the very first word to the very last. It has intrique and suspense. It’s well written and flows quickly from beginning to end .

At times, this story reads like a travel journal taking us to beautiful and dangerous countries. There are so many locations this book takes place and the author does an amazing job introducing each locale.

I recommend this book and will be checking out the others in the series.

Silk Road: Code Raven 6
By: Lynda Filler
5 out of 5 stars

The story Silk Road: Code Raven 6 by Lynda Filler is an amazing book that I loved reading. It has action/adventure and a cast of characters that is I enjoyed reading about. It also has mystery and suspense that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is a page-turner. I have read several books in this series and they never disappoint. This story has a theme about wrongs that are endured by the innocent. There are those being reported as missing and in some places, the officials that should be out in the front lines trying to get them back are ignoring the pleas of their parents. The story made me angry with how there are those who inflict terror and inhumane treatment on the innocent. The book has Luci, Luke, and others in the Raven group up against those who have no regard for the lives of others. There are also those who ally themselves with the Raven group. There are two young children taken and one female teenager that is missing. Will they be found and rescued? Read this book to find out. This story also has a bit of romance that is going on between Luke and Luci. Luke is finding himself opening up his heart to Luci. There are moments in this story that will warm your heart. Don’t miss out on this thrilling book in the Raven series. It is wonderfully written and a story I would highly recommend reading.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Silk Road by Lynda Filler is the sixth book in her Code Raven series. This is a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and reading right to the end.
This book has a complex and intriguing story line. There are many different things going on. Things that at first might not seem linked. But not everything is quite that clear cut.
The author takes you on a journey full of twists and turns. The writing draws you in from the start and makes sure not to let you go at all. I found that I had to read this book in one sitting because I wanted to know what was going on. And to read about all the “old gang” again was great. It is always nice to step back into such interesting and well established characters. This was another great addition to the series.

Abducted (Code Raven #2) by Lynda Filler

5 out of 5 start
Abducted is the second book in the Code Raven series written by Lynda Filler and it’s the third book that I have read by this author. Ms. Fillers writing just gets better with each book. Abducted is a gripping suspense thriller, is a roller coaster ride of cartel drug and human trafficking across tempestuous high seas off the coast of Mexico with some espionage thrown in. The Characters are well written and realistic that I couldn’t put this book/series down.
We have a ruthless Mexican drug cartel, notorious for their involvement in a world of illicit drug and human trafficking, is at the center of this action-packed drama where power, greed and immorality are the cornerstones of their global operations. We also have someone come back from the dead.
This is a fast-paced high-stakes thriller, a rash of abductions involving young female captives are ‘sold’ for extraordinary sums of money. They become the victims of extortion and manipulative leveraging in the pursuit of huge financial gains and unforeseen opportunity for revenge.
I simply love this series.

Abducted (Code Raven Series Book #2) by Lynda Filler – Review by Angela Hayes

5 Stars

Abducted is the second book in the Code Raven series by Lynda Filler. As we have discovered in the previous book/s, this series centres around the Raven Group, which is a top-secret special ops team- and the series chronicles the action-packed missions they embark on. Even though each book is a ‘new’ adventure- there is a bigger picture being revealed- so I would recommend reading all the books in order to get the most out of your reading experience. This is my favourite of the series, so far- the story was action-paced and dramatic, with danger, abduction, intrigue, suspense, human trafficking, drug cartels, life and death situations, high stakes risk, covert ops, high-tech gadgets, camaraderie/team work- as well as showing the depths that some people will sink to in the pursuit of wealth and power.

I am really enjoying this series, which just seems to get better and better with each new instalment! The books are very quick and easy reads- but manages to pack a lot into a small space. I look forward to my next adventure with the Raven Group!

Thank you, Ms. Filler!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ABDUCTED BY LYNDA FILLER is the 3rd book / Novella in the series adding in the prologue. I must be honest with my review. I wasn’t crazy about book 1 or 2. The author did a great job with the characters and the plot but it was very confusing for me. You must read the books in order to understand what is going on. I’m my opinion, book 3 was the best in the series. I was able to read more then a chapter before putting it down. The same character appear in book three that were in previous books plus a few new ones.

In this book, there is someone who is abducted. More then one person actually. The Raven group are there to work the cases. There is some unexpected things that happen but, you have to read it to find out. I thought book 3 was great and kept my attention from beginning to end.

Abducted: Code Raven 2 by Lynda Filler is the second book in the series and is action packed and fast paced. It is also a quick and intriguing read that has your heart rate up and your blood pumping as you race around the world with these men and women get one of their own back. Taking down the bad guys in the process is no hardship. Once again Lynda has written a story that is full of mystery, intrigue and suspense and twist and turns you don’t see coming. If I had the need the Raven group would be where I turned. So excited to see what comes next.

XPosed (Code Raven Series Book #1) by Lynda Filler – Review by Angela Hayes

4 Stars

XPosed is the first book in the Code Raven series by Lynda Filler. This series centres around the Raven Group, which is a top-secret special ops team- and the series chronicles the action-packed missions they embark on. There is some brilliant action, with suspense, a cross-country/ intercontinental adventure, danger, intrigue, covert ops, life and death, assassins, cyber warfare, Cartels, CIA, and drama.

After meeting all the characters in the Prequel, Code Raven, I was excited to begin the adventures with this book and I am happy to say that Ms. Filler didn’t disappoint. This book has quite a lot packed into a small space, but reading it feels like a much bigger novel (in a good way). I enjoyed getting to know the characters we met in the prequel, a little bit better. This is great team of characters that easily enticed me into their story and kept me avidly following along. I love all the of the Raven Group Team, but Lucy really made an impact in this book and admire her all the more now after reading XPosed.

The book is a fast-paced and is a very quick and easy read. I can’t wait to go on another adventure with Luke and the rest of the team in the next book! Bring on book #2!

Get set for a thrilling ride.

Thank you, Ms. Filler!

Xposed is the first book in the Code Raven Series written by Lynda Filler and it’s the second book that I have read by this author. The story line was really good we get to see espionage, love and loss and what the main character does to over-come his loss and what he has been up to since his loss.

Luke and his team recruit Luci to help execute a dangerous, highly classified special operations mission that is crucial to national security. Luci completes the critical Team Profile. They take their high-paced adventure across the USA and over the ocean to Paris. The action culminates in Shanghai, China where an ultra-wealthy and ruthless business tycoon possesses highly sensitive information that would have catastrophic results in the wrong hands. Code Raven is the prequel for the Code Raven series by Lynda Filler. The series is an action-packed adventure, with suspense, special ops, covert missions, drama, and intrigue. This book lays out some of the groundwork, filling in character details, giving backstory and background information that is the foundation for the series which follows. This book moves from past to present and back several times over the course of the book. These flashbacks give us important details that help us better understand the character/s and motivations. The book is a fast-paced novelette, which makes this a very quick and easy read. It is told from several points of view, helping to give us a well-rounded perspective of everything.
This book introduces us to Luke Raven, the head of the Raven Group- a top secret special ops corps. He is a brilliant man; whose accomplishments and talents seem to be limitless, but who has also experience great personal heartache. We really get to know him and the other members of his team. I enjoyed finding out about him and meeting the others- Luci, Alice, Zach, RB, Maggs- and discovering how the Raven Group came to be.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series- it looks set to be a thrilling ride.

Thank you, Ms. Filler!

Code Raven is the beginning to an amazing series by Lynda Filler. I have not read anything else by this writer but I know that this is one series that I will be reading – from the beginning to the end!
As the title says Code Raven is a prequel to the series, it is sort of an extended prologue that gives you the framework to put the rest of the series into! It introduces you to the main players, their motivation, their loss, and their drive … It gives you a taste of what is to come and I am so happy to know that I have the first story already downloaded on my reader!
It is an action packed and mind bending read that will not allow you to put the story down after you have started! Welcome in to the world of Raven Group folks!

Code Raven: Prequel
By Lynda Filler
5 Stars

This review is going to be short, sweet and to the point. Pick up this book. Seriously, pick it up. Although the book is a short novella that is setting up the series, it was AMAZING.

Luke Raven is the founder of the Raven Group. A highly intelligent, motivated secretive billionaire that has been dealt a blow after the death of his wife and son. How will this change him?

Lynda Filler does a wonderful job setting up this story with this short novella. Not only do you learn what made Luke Raven the man he is today, you also meet a whole slew of interesting sub characters. From the beginning, Ms. Filler hooks the reader and takes you on a few twists and turns but leaves you wanting more. This book is a super-fast read but that’s okay because it will get you to the next book in the series just that quickly. From one avid reader to another. GET THIS BOOK!
