Souls Collide (Collide Series #3) by Kristina Beck – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Souls Collide is the third book in Kristina Beck’s The Collide Series. It is a stand-alone book, that tells the story of two characters who are thrown together by a series of events and learn more about each other, and themselves, along the way.
The characters were fairly interesting. Alexa is an intelligent and bubbly pharmaceutical salesperson, plagued by a series of unfortunate dates (for whom she has nicknames). Kent is a police officer who is struggling through the darkness of grief and the fear of losing his sister. They are introduced as a contrast, but throughout the story more is revealed and developed in their characters.
It opens as a standard romance – characters (and the chemistry between them!) are introduced and the reader thinks they know where it’s going. But as the story progresses, the plot is complicated with twists, suspense and surprises which makes it much more exciting to read!
Beck’s attention to detail is evident throughout the book, but particularly striking in the way she includes cancer in the story. With a variety of perspectives and a sensitive approach, this is particularly well done.
For me this is a four-star read. I’d recommend it if you want an emotional romance with plenty of friction and suspense. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, but I’ll definitely keep them in mind for later!

This is book three in the collide series. This story can be read as a standalone. We do meet the other characters from the previous books. This book is Alexa’s and Kent’s story. Alexa and Kent fall in love at first sight, but it is a battle to accept one’s feelings at times. Alexa is sweet and sassy with a huge heart. Kent is protective, loving, and funny even though it takes him to find himself. I love these characters interactions with each other. I also loved Abby and Vince. These are great characters, and I hope they get their own happily ever after! Kristina Beck created great characters and wonderful over all story!

By Kristina Beck
5 Stars

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third installment of The Souls Collide Series. It is a romantic suspense about Alexa and Kent, that will keep you on the edge of your seat. When I saw that this book is a romantic suspense, I didn’t expect some comedy. There are some really funny parts, as I was not able to put my Kindle down until I was done, I read this ebook in one sitting in just a few hours. Alexa is a ray of sunshine, independent, smart and beautiful to boot. Men are constantly dropping at her every step but unfortunately she has had no luck finding the right guy. The nicknames she makes for her past dates are hilarious i.e. Joker the Poker. Kent is a hot cop who has had to deal with grief and a sick sister, which has made him quite an angry and bitter person. When these two souls collide at a nearby hospital, their worlds will change forever. Will Alexa be able to break down Kent’s walls? While these two are getting to know each other better, Alexa is in danger and has stalker making her life a living hell. All the supportive characters in this book are great and will have you suspecting who the mystery stalker is. Kristina Beck wrote a seamless storyline that was difficult to put down, I truly enjoyed reading this book. This is the first book in the Collide Series that I have read and will be going back to the first two books and read them.

This novel was amazing. I loved how Alexa and Kent went from one extreme to the other. Hate to love. All the craziness that happened in between was scary and had me at the edge of my seat. I also loved Abby. She was strong and courageous while battling breast cancer. I could not believe who the real antagonist was at the end. I was surprised. Such a great book!

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good romance with suspense but she exceeded all my expectations. A few times this story gave me chill up my spine. This is the third book from the Collide series. They don’t need to read in order but prior characters will be in this book. I read this book first and I didn’t have any trouble following the story. I now will be starting from the beginning to meet the other characters. I could not put this book down. I fell in love with these characters right from the beginning. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.

Alexa is a beautiful and smart young woman that has it all. She has men at her feet at all times. Alexa love her family and friends. She runs into a very handsome cop that doesn’t give her the time of day. Alexa is determined to find out why this man hates her. She has friends in common with him and she just wants to find a middle ground. Alexa then starts getting some crazy phone calls that starts to spook her out. She is shocked when Kent steps up to protect her. They quickly realize that their souls belong together. Will Alexa and Kent find their happily ever after or is someone waiting to destroy them both?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and suspense. You can’t help but to fall in love with all of these characters. Alexa is a beautiful woman that has a good head on her shoulder. She sometimes takes things for granted which can get her into trouble. Kent has had a hard life. He lost his mom when he was younger and now he needs to protect his sister. Kent has walls up due to his past so he doesn’t get hurt again. This author brings up some delicate subjects but it is in a beautiful manner. I’m now going to start this series from the beginning. I will be reading this talented author from now on.

Souls Collide is the final book in the Collide series. I’ve been waiting for Alexa’s story and it did not disappoint! Alexa is intelligent, funny and not afraid to put you in your place! When her and “Superman” meet I was literally laughing out loud! I think this might have been my favorite story in the series. The characters are wonderful and I love how they are all so connected. Souls Collide : Collide Series Book 3 By Kristina Beck is a wonderfully written book that once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down. Alexa is a smart beautiful caring and compassionate woman who doesn’t shy away from speaking what she’s thinking. Kent is a police officer who sometimes comes off as unsympathetic and has a poor attitude. Then comes in Alexa ,when these two meet at first there are definitely conflicting sparks between them but then something starts to change and he becomes protective over her especially when a stranger starts lurking around her.Can these two have a future together? Will they work through there different views and have a relationship? Find out what happens next with these two. I highly recommend reading this Book. Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide is the 3rd book in the Collide series by Kristina Beck. Each book can be read as a stand-alone. I hadn’t read either of the first two books in this series but after reading Souls Collide, I’ll definitely be looking to read the others as this was a definite 5 star read.
Souls Collide is an opposites attract story. Alexa and Kent are about as opposite as you can get but this is not just your typical run of the mill opposites attract story. This book is filled with suspense that will keep you gripped to the very end. There are also many twists and turns in the story. Just as you think you’ve sussed out what Kristina Beck had in mind for these great characters, the story will turn and leave you open mouthed, wondering what the hell just happened.
Police officer Kent Hayes has watched his mother die from cancer and is now going through the horror again as his beloved sister Abby is now fighting this brutal illness. One thing Kent hates is the pharmaceutical industry so when he meets the beautiful Alexa, who happens to be a very successful pharmaceutical rep, he really wants to hate her. Shame his traitorous body didn’t get the memo. While Kent is moody and not the most fun person to be around, Alexa is a complete ray of sunshine and totally lights up every room she walks into. When Alexa is threatened by a stalker, Kent realises that he will do absolutely anything to keep her from harm.
This is a fantastic read and the characters are so well written that you can’t help but fall in love with them. I will definitely be seeking out the first 2 books in this series.

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide is the third book in Kristina Beck’s Collide series. The whole series is a standalone so you are welcome to start with this one, you will not miss out on anything. Of course if you have read the first two books already then you will enjoy meeting the characters from them here as the writer brings them all together. It is the first book I have read by this writer and I know, it will not be the last one!
Souls Collide is a beautiful story of two souls meeting – Alexa and Kent. They are as opposite as two people can be – Alexa is the friendly and charmed and positive gal that seems to have it all … Kent on the other hand has seen too much of the darker side of the life as he is a police officer. He has also experienced soul deep loss and that has marked him … marked him in a way that you think he might never get over it.
I admire how the writer handles the horrible illness that took Kent’s mother and now has also taken hold of his sister Abby. She gives us Abby who is the embodiment of a resilient human spirit on a journey filled with grace and beauty and courage … She brings us optimism and hope and you will find yourself feeling different towards the ones fighting the disease and the ones who have survived …
Souls Collide pulls you in and doesn’t let you go – the deep connection between Alexa and Kent while fighting the challenges together … it shows us that even when the life tries to take us down, it can also bring us together when we open ourselves up to love and commit to it.

A great read about opposites. When a black cat crosses her path, Alexa runs into a series of bad luck, including bumping straight into Kent at a hospital. Kent is bitter with the world after tradegy, but Alexa seems to be a ray of sunshine. Will he let her in or push her away in fear?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Alexa standing up for herself but kind underneath or Kent harsh exterior but kind and sweet or Abby’s positive outlook on life being too short to be miserable.  A great cast of supporting characters like Vince as a good friend or Dali as bubbly and loud.
I loved the use of visual detail throughout the novel like with the cafe shop full of life and people. Or the colourful nature of Alexa and her kitchen with bright red and soft whites combining together. Or the vivid colours of the headscarves and pillows in bright bold colours against a dark world as a sense of comfort and happiness to Abby and beautifully written. And loved the sweet look on cancer as something with its ups and downs. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck a four-star read that will strike you. This is the third novel in the Collide series and they can be read as stand alone as I started this one and was a few chapters in before I realised it was a series, I think each one focuses on a different set of characters and Alexa and Kent are sublime characters, I will eventually go back to read the first two and I have added them to my TBR pile as I like the style of writing, the way the story unfolded was natural and honest, it wasn’t rushed, if I had maybe read the series in order I would have given five stars and when I go back and re-read I will have to adjust. Kent was great, he was one thing at first but the more you read the more you know and understand him and know what a true hero he was.

I love strong characters. Both female and male. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for the RA-RA I am Woman, Let’s all Roar type of power when an author is writing, but I also love when an author creates two equally strong characters whose strengths and weakness so they can each grow both together and individually as people and as a couple.

Alexa knows looks like the typical dumb female. Tall, blonde, big blue eyed. But she is whip smart and knows how to use her big assets., Her big brain that is. She has fought tooth and nail to be at the top of her career and isn’t going to take crap from anyone, let alone some grumpy police officer with a chip on his shoulder.

Kent has had the unfortunate luck of watching this mother die, and now, he might have to watch his sister suffer the same fate. After a crazy string of bad, or not so bad luck, Alexa and Kent keep running into each other and the flame of desires spark, ignite and then burn. Add in with the possibility of Alexa being in serious danger, you have one very hot book.

This book is one for the the reread list! I love this slow burn. I highly recommend this book for lovers of Romance and/Or Mystery Genre readers.

It is always a pleasure to fall in love with a new author’s work, especially one with the skills of Kristinia Beck. I was swallowed whole with this novel and I loved every moment of it. Souls Collide is the third book in the Collide Series, but I had no issues reading this as a standalone. I just now get the pleasure of going back and reading the other two books in the series. Especially since this is the final book in the series as well.

Alexa Kramer is living her life to the fullest. She has it all; the job, the best friends, a loving and supportive family, and she has the beauty and brains to boot. Kent Hayes, not so much. He lives his life day to day doing what is necessary and hiding his emotional pain. It is because of this that he is mean and off putting. Both of their worlds are about to change when they literally ‘collide’ with one another.

I could not get enough of this story. The emotions I felt were all over the place. One moment I could be on the verge of tears and the next I could be giggling. Beck really has a talent for balancing the emotions so that it doesn’t get to be too overwhelming. There is some topics of disease that gets brought in and this is dealt with in such a way. I thought it was a perfect handle of the situation. It made it that raw emotion without getting to be too much. The only negative I could come up for this book would be that it ended. So now I am off to grab the other two in the series. Thank you for the fantastic read Ms. Beck.

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is a great read! This is the third book in the standalone Collide series, and it’s also my first book by this author but it won’t be my last! This storyline completely captivated me from the beginning until the end.

Alexa and Kent’s story is intense, twisted, emotional, funny, romantic and shocking all at the same time! Their story had me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering how it was all going to play out.
I loved how there were a few different storylines mixed in with this book and how the author did it in such a way that was easy to follow and not confusing at all. I loved Abby’s character as well, I would love to read more about her and her story in the future!

I look forward to continuing with this series now that I’ve read this one!

They started out very rocky and have different views on life, but when a stranger is lurking around it starts to change their relationship. The suspense of the stranger and their relationship was so intriguing that I couldn’t put the book down till I found out what happened. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is book three of the Collide Series. This is the first book I’ve read of the series but I didn’t feel I lost any of the story.

Alexa is so smart but most people over look that given her beauty. She is so friendly and bubbly, most people don’t look below the surface.

Kent won’t get close to anyone. Few people have gotten behind his wall and he plans to keep it that way. Alexa brings brightness to Kent’s world but be ignores it. Until her brightness fades a bit. Kent feels the need to fiercely protect Alexa.

The book has a sudden twist you don’t expect. I couldn’t wait to finish but also wanted to hold on tight to the book the whole way through. I didn’t want it to end. I am going to go back and read the first two books in the series and if they are half as good as this book then I’m truly looking forward to it!

The hearts and flames on the cover are they perfect way to represent this book.
I did not read this series in order and while I didn’t feel super lost in some parts, I would recommend reading them in order to get the most out of these books.
Alexa has it all. She has looks, luck, smarts, and doesn’t need to worry about money. Kent doesn’t want the darkness that pervades his life to tarnish Alexa’s even though he is drawn to her.
The connection between the two main characters is palpable and would make this book worth reading if it was just these two going at odds with their emotions. Fortunately, Kristina Beck added so much more. Strangers lurking in the dark threaten Alexa and force Kent to come to terms with his protective instincts and the inescapable pull he feels around Alexa.
Also when I read “Your bright light shines through the cracks in my wall” I giggled like the nerd I am and thought about the crack in Amy Pond’s bedroom and wondered if Prisoner Zero would make an appearance.

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third book in her Collide Series and this one just keeps getting better and better. This suspenseful romance follows the story of Alexa and Kent, that just pulls you in from the first page and you won’t be able to get enough of these two. Alexa is a caring, compassionate woman who is fiercely independent, and yet these is something that draws her to her neighbor Kent. He doesn’t seem to show any emotion or even seem to notice that she is a woman by any means and yet she just can’t stay away. Never one to mince her words, Alexa keeps being her indelibly honest personality until she gets under his skin. Kent has spent his life being a police officer, at the expense of every woman in his life, he can’t give up his love of defending the law and so he stays away from romantic entanglements to spare them from his livelihood. As a man who is barely existing, he comes off as unsympathetic and even churlish at times. Then Alexa walks in the room. The sparks that fly between these two from that first meeting will singe the pages. Conflict is how Kent attempts to keep Alexa at bay, and yet the more time they spend together the more that he finds himself wanting to protect her and keep her all to himself. Can these two find a way to put down their swords and give into the passion that everyone else can see between them? Or will the hurt of their pasts keep them from having the romance of a lifetime? Beck is anew to me author, and I am so happy that I picked up this book. Once I realized that it was part of a series, I did gobble up the other two books in this series. I highly recommend that you read this series in order, even though each book can stand on its own merits. If you are looking to get swept away by great characters and an author who will capture your heart than this is one that you need to get today! I hope that Beck keeps writing because I can’t wait to see what she brings to her readers next.

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide was a great 5 star read and book three in the Collide series.

I loved Alexa, she was bubbly and always happy about everything. She wanted everyone else around her to be the same way. One day she literally runs into Kent, who definitely doesn’t have the same outlook as Alexa. He is a cranky and short tempered man who doesn’t like anyone. And of course it didn’t help that she thought he was dressed up as a cop for Halloween, when he in fact is an officer.

Fate of course steps in and these two start to see each other in several different places, and when she becomes friends with his sister Abby things get even more interesting. I have to say I love what she did at the bar, well played Alexa. As for Kent, I was so upset with how mean and short he was with her.

“That’s enough!” I don’t know if I want to punch him in the face or go at it with him on the hood of my car.

As we move forward we start to understand Kent and why he is the way he is. Eventually my heart did open up to him. Things also take a twist when Alexa ends up with a stalker. The protector in Kent takes over and tries to keep her safe.

The banter between Kent and Alexa was great, she could definitely give it back to him ten fold.
The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Overall I loved everything about this book, Kristina Beck does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. There are twists and turns which I loved. Each story in the series can be read as a stand alone but I suggest starting with book one.

This is my first book by this author and I am not sure how I have skipped over this wonderful writer. Her writing enchanted me. I loved meeting each of her characters. Then when they all came together….BAM! Pure Poetry in Motion! She gives them life…they are not just flat characters. I care about each of them for their own reasons…well except for a few naughty ones. But they help make the story so I guess I like them for what their purpose is.

I read this fairly quickly as it enchanted me from the beginning. After about the half way mark I kinda started losing interest. I kept plugging along and it was worth it. There are some amazing characters in here who struggle with real life problems. I learned a few things I didn’t know before. Alexa-I love the whole nickname thing and the idea behind it. Kent…you made me want to hug you. But you would not like that at least at first. Abby- Dayum girl! You are inspiring!

Overall this story was right up my alley. I enjoyed reading it and will keep this author in mind when looking for a fun, sexy romance.

Ps. LOVE the cover!

Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 by Kristina Beck is a fantastic and touching story that
will hold you captivated and enthralled. It captivated both my heart and soul right from the
moment two beautiful souls met and boy did they certainly collide. I was fully invested in
these wonderful characters and their stories and loved, loved, loved their witty banter. There is a lot of emotions in this story and I for one felt every one of them right along with them from overwhelming joy to moments of sorrow and horror. There is never a dull moment and there is plenty, plenty of drama.
Alexa is strong, sassy and full of charm and loves those close to her passionately. Kent angry and has built solid walls of protection due to loss and a disease that has changed his life. Somehow the charming and beautiful soul, Alexa calls to him and maybe, just maybe she will be the one who can heal him.
This story has it all. Passion and drama, humor and suspense, darkness and light, compassion and healing and is a must read!

This is my first read by this author and I was completely blown away by this story. I was worried going in that it was book 3 in a series but I quickly realised that it could easily be read as a standalone (however I absolutely will be reading books 1 and 2!!). The author’s writing style was so engaging and I quickly found myself falling in love with her story and her characters. I was really disappointed when I got to the end because I was not ready to stop reading! I loved Alexa and Kent! From the way they met to how their relationship developed, I felt like I was hanging on their every move and every word. Alexa was such a fun character to read about – I instantly found a connection with her that continued throughout the story. I couldn’t help but love Kent even if he was a little rude at times but I knew deep down that was just a coping mechanism!
I absolutely adored this story and I cannot recommend it enough!!

I really liked this story. So many emotions to process. The characters had to come to terms with so many of their flaws and learn to get over it. The lessons they learned made them better characters and better partners. I liked Abby’s character the best. She is dealing with so much and yet her outlook on life is so bright. Alexa was a little snobby to me. But them you would read a chapter and see another side to her. She was a very complex character. Kent could be my superman any day. He is very guarded and uptight. He has to deal with a lot throughout the story and it really highlights his strong points. You also see some moments that show a softer side to him. Overall I am excited to see what happens next. The author gave a lot to this story and the mystery of the stalker was a great way to add more filling to the story. It wasn’t just another HEA. They characters worked for their peace and I feel it is well deserved.

Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 by Kristina Beck – Review by Erica Fish

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Souls Collide is a great read and I will admit I will be going to read the other books in the series as this is the first book I read. Kristina Beck is a new author to me and I would have to admit that I had not read her books before. She has developed characters, very descriptive scenery, and gives just enough details on the page to make you want to turn the page to see what happens next. The story is about Alexa and Kent. At first you get introduce to Alexa who you believe has everything going for her, but when she meets Kent she melts because now she wants him. Kent is the police officer with some bad happenings with relationships. Will Alexa get close to Kent to tear walls down or will Kent keep the walls up? Will Kent’s protective nature kick in when Alexa seems to have attracted a stalker? You will have to read to find out the answers to these questions.

Souls Collide: Collide Series Book 3 by Kristina Beck – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed her style of writing and characters. This story is easy flowing and engaging. This is a story about Alexa and Kent. Alexa is a woman who seems to have it all together until some events happen that make her second guess herself and even make her fearful. Kent is an angry cop until the day he meets her. Will she be able to melt his heart or will the shadows win out? Great, strong characters with great chemistry! I highly recommend this book.
