A well written book with great character and development. The story moved slow but it seemed like a deliberate slow that made the characters come to life. The hook was missing that really drew me in but it was a nice easy read with no true downfall!

When Enzo sees Candi for the first time…it is lust at first site. He asks her out, but she turns him down. He assumes he will never see her again. All of this is fine, because his lifestyle doesn’t allow room for a relationship. He has been hurt in the past…and he does not want to go down that road again.
Candi is taken by Enzo’s good looks and charm…but her heat was broken years ago and she never got it back. Dom was her true love, and she doesn’t believe that people get more than one in their lifetime. To save herself from the hurt she felt over Dom, she just doesn’t open her heart to anyone.
However, these to strike up a friendship at a photo shoot and it builds from there. However, they both have their own baggage that is standing in their own way when it comes to moving forward with each other. When they come to a crossroads in their relationship, will they move forward with each other or let each other go in order to protect their hearts?
This story is a true slow-burn…but was a good read. I enjoyed watching these characters dance around (and with) each other while trying to navigate the dating world while protecting themselves. They are both deserving of happiness and I was rooting for them the whole way. A good read that I enjoyed.

I enjoyed reading this wonderful love story. The author wrote this story in such a way that made me get to know and relate to the characters. I became invested in their outcome and found myself rooting for them. Enzo is the type of guy that all women want. Enzo is smart, attractive, respectful, and has many talents. He doesn’t have time for relationships because of his career. Candi has lost her soul mate so she has resigned herself to live the rest of her life without ever falling in love again. Candi is a very career oriented woman, she has worked hard to build up her career to what it has become. She is an independent and attractive woman. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. There is an unexpected twist in this story. This is a must read if you want to know how their story unfolds. I highly recommend this book.

Tina is getting married and is one of Lisa’s best friends, she is the first one to arrive for movie club. Tina is telling Lisa about wedding stuff and says that her brother in law is now moving in with everyone at Tina’s mother in law’s house. Tina shows a picture of her brother in law to Lisa, of course she’s swooning over him. While Lisa is swooning over a picture of this guy, Mindy and and Ruby show up for movie club.<br />Aaron is Tina’s fiancé, and Ryan is Aaron’s brother. They are hanging out in the garage at their parents house thinking of what to do for the bachelor party. Aaron doesn’t want to do any of the typical things. He suggests axe throwing, or golf cart racing, something fun. Aaron ends up showing a picture of the girls to Ryan, and He is stuck looking at Lisa. That’s when mom walks in with a box of cookies and tells the guys they need to deliver it over to movie club. While the ladies are in face masks watching the movie, all of a sudden the doorbell rings. But Lisa made home made pizzas, Ruby asks if Lisa hired a stripper and they all laugh. Lisa looks out the peep hole. It’s Ryan and Aaron with the box of cookies Tina forgot. Mindy and Tina run down the hall to the bathroom to wash off their face masks. Ruby doesn’t care, she opens the door for the guys while her and Lisa are still in their face masks. Aaron asks Lisa to show Ryan her apartment. She gives him the tour of her small apartment and tells him that she’s a YouTube blogger for her job. Lisa is a good blogger and got an award for it. Ryan asks Lisa to show him what she does for work. So he sets a date for Sunday for her to cook for him and she can blog it. After the guys crash movie night Aaron tells Ryan it’s time to go so the girls can enjoy their night. Lisa thinks nothing of the date, nothing has been long term for her, except her girlfriends. She worked at a coffee shop near campus when Mindy, Ruby, and Tina were attending school. They pulled her into their friend group and kept her around. They traveled places they had seen in their romcom movie nights to go try different places to eat. Romcom night was over, the ladies tidied up Lisa’s apartment before leaving. Lisa wakes up the next day with a wine hang over, and someone is knocking on her door, on a Sunday? Ryan he shows up with two coffees and a bag in his hands. Lisa invites him into her apartment. Ryan couldn’t wait a week to Lisa. They both chat for twenty minutes then Ryan leaves. Lisa was good at meeting people, she had been doing it all her life when she was bounced from one foster family to another.<br />Lisa picks up her phone to go through food options and decides to text Ryan to see if he is allergic to any foods, and they end up bantering back and forth and then Ryan calls. He asks Lisa to a baseball game on Tuesday! She says yes and tells him to be there at noon and she will have lunch ready before the game. <br/><br/> <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/6813301-tori”>View all my reviews</a>

I have to start by saying that I loved getting even a small glimpse of Nicco and Destiny’s wedding when I first started this book. In the first book, we didn’t learn a lot about Candi other than she was Destiny’s best friend. Debbie did a good job further developing her character and giving insight as to why she tends to hold back. Debbie used this story and showed that despite the hardships we experience, we can learn to love again. Look forward to reading more of her work.

This was such a good read, kept me interested, great characters, and a sweet story! Perfect for this time of year I must say! I very much enjoyed it, I was very much invested in the hopes and dreams of the characters!
Christmas, Romance, and Achieving a future…how could I not love it. I loved Connor and Sienna. Both have that instant chemistry, but she wants to take the Gold medal. Connor has fear holding him back. I loved how things were not instant, they had to find common ground, not just with their future goals, but a chance at igniting this spark into a flame. The book was a quick read, but full of impact. You are never too late in life to achieve your goals. Loved this holiday read, and honestly you will too! It will melt your heart!
Wonderful romance and powerful read. It is impossible not to love the author or how they use their writing skill! Easy to dive in and follow! Fun read and get you into the holiday spirit! Highly recommend!

This is the second book in the Wounded Hearts series. I had loved the first book and was really hoping that Candi would get her own book and was so looking forward to reading her story. I was certainly not disappointed. In fact, I loved this book even more than the first one. Candi and Enzo’s story hits you with all the feels. It’s a total roller coaster of emotions journey. There was laughter and there were tears. Many tears. I’d have tissues handy when reading this. Or maybe I’m just a total sap who cries at the slightest thing. Candi is still trying to get over the death of her boyfriend Dom when Enzo comes into her like. It’s been a few years and deep down she knows that Dom would want her to move on and find love again but it’s not that easy. But the more time she spends with Enzo, the more she’s at war with herself. I really loved reading this story. When reading a romance novel you assume that the HEA is coming, but it’s all about the journey and how they get there. The path to true love does not run smooth and this author makes Enzo and Candi work for it, throwing in a few surprises along the way they I definitely didn’t see coming. 100% recommend.

This is my first book i have read from Ann Swann and I think I love this author. Carina has had her fair share of tragedy in her life. Carina survived the pandemic and also been through death with some loss of her family. A friend she met on an online grief support group offers her a special gift for Christmas. She wants to spend Christmas with her whole family, a big Christmas. But does anyone care? No one. Just her. Will she travel by herself up to the secret special gift her friend has given her? This was heart warming and a white Christmas. It is a must read.

Discovery and romance This was a fun read! It’s a contemporary romance that has a great balance between romance, comedy and real life issues. Lisa has not had people stand by her and Ryan has had his share of battles. They’ve got to find some common ground. I connected with the characters easily and enjoyed the pacing of their connection. The authors writing style was easy to read and the tension, drama and angst was delivered in a way that had me vested. Looking forward to Book 2.

Every month Lisa, Mindy, Ruby, and Tina get together for Rom Com Movie night. These nights include wine and facial masks and their favorite romantic comedy movies, because everyone loves a happily ever after.
Lid has never believed happily ever after exists after being tossed from home to home growing up. Before meeting the other girls, she never believed anyone stayed, but her friends became her home and helped her get through each day. With things getting stressful before Tina’s wedding, it seems like life just keeps throwing obstacles in when Ryan walks into the middle of Rom Com Movie Night
Ryan has just decided to come back home and live with his parents while waiting for a new opportunity to arise. He never expected that opportunity to be at Rom Com Movie Night when he followed his brother over.
Falling in love wasn’t on Lisa’s radar, falling in love with her best friends soon to be brother-in-law was far from ideal timing. Now juggling a new love and a best friend believing Lisa’s out to ruin the wedding, Lisa has to decide between the love of her friend or the potential love of her life.
This was such a fun, light read! The characters were relatable and you definitely find yourself rooting for Lisa and Ryan while also feeling for Tina’s fears for her future. It’s a book I would enjoy reading over and over again. I can’t wait for book 2!

I loved this book! It was full of laughs and a few tears and overall quite entertaining. Each one of the girls brings their amazing personality full force in this book.
Lisa grabbed my heart from the beginning. She didn’t have the most stable life growing up but has really come a long way and is a success. I was able to connect with her most of the characters. Thankfully my childhood wasn’t as bad as Lisa’s but still as unstable.
Ryan is back in his hometown after several years away to start over and boy does he. The initial meeting between Lisa and Ryan made me laugh outloud and almost anytime Ruby was there I knew to expect a laugh.
Yes this is a romance, but it also about friendship. Women need to be happy no matter who she has in her life. I love my family but wouldn’t be where I am now without my best friends.

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The Rom Com Movie Club is amazing. The book had me hooked from the beginning and I loved it. I never want the love for Ryan and Lisa to stop.
Lisa has been in several foster homes and no one has really stuck by her side. Her friends are the only ones she can really count on. Then her friend’s soon to be brother-in-law comes walking into her condo. Things start to escalate from there, but then she gets hurt. She isn’t allowed to see him anymore. The quote I chose for Lisa is: “I’m not creeped out. Aaron is a stellar guy, or we wouldn’t be letting Tina marry him. I’m going to give you credit for being a stellar guy too, since you share genes with him. But, if you prove me wrong, I’ll wreck their marriage.”
Ryan is back home and he isn’t sure what he’s going to do. When he meets Lisa he decides that he wants to befriend her. He then finds that he can’t keep away from her. He wants to stick around and let Lisa know he’s not going anywhere. The quote I chose for Ryan is: “Please make sure she knows it’s your decision. Because what I get from her is that other people have always made the decision who is part of her life. They come and go. I don’t want to go. You make that clear.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

If you are looking for a fun romantic comedy that would be perfect to read cozied up with your reading blanket and a glass of wine, then this one is for you!
The Rom Com Movie Club by Bernadette Marie is all about 4 best friends Lisa, Tina, Ruby and Mindy and their love for rom coms. As they continue their monthly rom com movie club, they are also planning a wedding for Tina who is about to marry the love of her life. What they didn’t know is that one fated movie club will bring love into Lisa’s life as well. Only problem is…it’s the brother of Tina’s soon to be husband. Will Lisa’s blooming love interfere with her best friend’s wedding?
This book was so enjoyable. The movie’s mentioned, the strong relatable friendships and the great characters had me rushing to finish but not wanting the book to end. I cannot wait to pick up book 2. I may have to plan a reading slumber party with a few of my besties so we can all enjoy!

This is a great holiday read. It is a fast paced story that keeps you turning the pages. This is exactly what everyone needs during the holiday season. This book is just the right length to feel like you can actually read the whole thing during the holiday season. With always being on the go and places to be, this book would be a great companion on road trips to visit families or to just snuggle on the couch for a few hours. The characters have substantial growth through this quick read. There are obstacles that they have to overcome. It has the classic bad boy that everyone loves and gets our blood pumping right away. The holiday traditions helps melt him enough to be able to fall for the girl of his dreams. I can’t stress enough how amazing this short book is. It is a must read for the holiday season. Ruby, Lisa, Tina, and Mindy have gathered once a month since college for Rom Com movie nights. Their informal club is an opportunity to get together to unwind, share some laughs and de-stress from their everyday lives. On Rom Com Movie Club nights, the four girls use face masks, paint their nails, drink wine, and watch their favorite romantic comedies. Of course, they all want their happily ever after but for most of them it seems to be an unattainable dream.
Then Tina becomes engaged to be married and a chance encounter has Lisa falling head over heels for the brother of her best friend, Tina’s fiancée. Tina does not take it well and feels Lisa is going to ruin her wedding. Lisa is devastated and the friendships she has with the girls feels as though it is in jeopardy. Lisa feels as though these girls are her family so it takes an emotional toll on her to think she may lose them. Now Lisa feels that she must give up her happily ever after or risk losing her best friend.
This was a cute book about friendship and love. The girls had an unbreakable bond until romance was involved and then their friendship was put to the test. A misunderstanding between friends almost came between Tina and Lisa and came close to breaking up the friendship between the four girls. Thankfully, Mindy and Ruby were not willing to let something so trivial come between them. I loved all the characters and the bond they had. I loved the banter the girls had between them and could not help but laugh out loud when there was some name calling involved between them. Knowing it was all meant in a loving and fun way they laughed as well. I enjoyed the character of Ryan and how he fell in love with Lisa, seeing past the wet nails and face mask to see her true beauty.

This book is from an author I have read many times and who never disappoints. She has an amazing talent of writing fantastic romance novels that I love reading. With The Rom Com Movie Club she certainly does not disappoint. I really, really enjoyed reading this book and I’m sure that it’s a book that I will read again. While hosting the monthly rom com movie club, Lisa inadvertently gets to meet her best friend’s future brother in Law, Ryan. There is instant chemistry between the two but future bride Tina demands that nothing happens between the 2 of them as it will take the shine of her upcoming wedding. Needless to say, I really did not like Tina very much. She’s a total Bridezilla who is thinking about herself and not at all for her best friend who has major insecurities. I really enjoyed Lisa and Ryan’s story. Both are great characters and I loved how they interacted with each other and how Ryan was a total sweetheart and took Lisa’s insecurities seriously and helped her overcome them. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this romantic comedy story. It was a great read and reminded me of the days when I would have sleepovers with my friends. The author does a great job with the characters. Each one is an individual but they always work and look out for each other. Their connection is so strong and nice to read. You really get a sense of their friendship.
Every month Lisa, Mindy, Ruby, and Tina all meet up for a night of girlie chatter and a rom com movie. This has been their routine for years but things maybe changing with Tina getting married and new love appearing in the most unlikely of places. What happens when your bes friends love interest is your future brother in law? Can the friendship survive it if things go wrong? Is Tina being unfair expecting Lisa to not date her brother in law? When things come to a head Lisa needs to choose. Does she finally want her own happy ever after or is she prepared to lose hers so that her friend can get her dream day?

This was such a cute read! It was quick paced, and the characters were extremely lovable. It felt like I flew through this one. I loved the witty banter between the girls, and how fiercely they fight for and love each other. I loved the romance between Ryan and Lisa, it was extremely sweet. I cried a few times, and it was very emotional to me. I’m very glad I picked this one up and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

I love you today is book 2 in a trilogy by Julie Navickas. I did read book 1, I loved you Yesterday previously to reading this, but this could easily have been read as a stand alone. This is out of the park (no pun intended). The characters are realistic and relatable and so easy to picture as I read. I loved watching this love story play out. Recommended for Romance Readers, and if anyone from the Hallmark Channel is reading, pick this story up!

A heartwarming romance with a fantastic love triangle. I am not going to lie, I am over love triangles, I think they are played out by so many, but this one, this one I truly was torn myself. Throughout the book, I couldn’t decide which brother I wanted Mavis to be with. I wanted Mavis to end up with each of them at different parts throughout the book. This story had it all, forgiveness, appreciation and most of all 2nd chances. A must read for romance readers!
Main Characters Teddy and Robyn Honestly fantastic – good HEA- I really did enjoy this small down romance – you felt all the emotions. I ended up having to put it down a few times due to the tears!! The undying love that Robyn held on to while Teddy was incarcerated for a crime, he didn’t commit … it a love we all dream about and few of us get to experience. Teddy held into the hope that his love still loved him even without him seeing her for 6 long years. It was a sweet book full of love, hope, and promise. Definitely something we/ I need more of these days.

Can even biggest love critic be swayed? To find out you will need to grab a copy of Kamana Wanalaya an over-the-top fun and steamy holiday romance. It is an enemies to lovers tale and is set in one of the world’s most beautiful places Hawaii.
I enjoy a good Rom Com and that is what we get when we go on this journey where the She-grinch doesn’t believe in love and the Love Guru wants a chance to prove it. This hilarious and steamy romance tale will have you needing a good stiff drink. It will also have you laughing at their antics, banter and sassiness.
This is my first time reading anything by Susan, but it will not be my last because it is such a fun read to get lost in for a few hours.
Who doesn’t love some sun, sand, surf, sexy and steamy?

This story was so much fun! It was just the kind of holiday read I was looking for. Teegan and Tenley were such amazing characters Their personalities lead to such amazingly fun banter between them. It also lead to such spicy scenes! I have to say that this is the first Susan Renee book that I have read, but it definitely won’t be my last. She was amazing at writing steamy scenes but also allowing for character development throughout the book. Both Teegan and Tenley developed both as individuals and as a couple. I will definitely be looking for more of her books to read over the upcoming holiday week!

I LOVED this book so much…..with my whole heart….this book was so much fun, laugh, romance, tears and a bit of wedding and family drama….adding a mix of rom com movies.
Four friends…Tina, Lisa, Ruby and Mindy are thick as thieves and their friendship is so much more than friendship…they are like “Family”. Every month each of the ladies hosts a rom com movie night with all the fixings…movie, pedicures, face masks…….and a impromptu drop in by Aaron, Tina’s fiancee, and tag-a-long Ryan, this is where Ryan meets Lisa for the first time. Lisa and Ryan have instant sparks…but Lisa is more hesitant. Her past leads her to be cautious and self doubting….but Lisa takes the leap with Ryan… but Tina is planning the wedding of her dreams with her fiancee, Aaron, nothing Tina wants more is no issues nor drama nor anyone taking her wedding thunder down during the countdown the upcoming nuptials. Will Lisa be able to let go of the past to move forward with Ryan and will Lisa and Ryan keep on simmer while their friends are heading down the aisle…
This book is truly fantastic. The story line I loved dearly and flowed so easily..this book was hard to put down….and I love all the rom com movies that are in the book because I watched them all too!! If you love a good romantic comedy story….definitely pick up this book….truly fantastic!
I am so looking forward to the next books in this series.

Where oh where do I start! After laughing out loud from the very first sentence I just knew I was going to be hooked on this book and I was so right! This AMAZING Author brings together two total opposites, Tenley, a podcaster who preaches practical relationships and spurns the idea of love, and Teagan, the love guru who truly believes in love and all it can add to a persons life in such a fun and completely captivating way that I didn’t want to put his book down even for a second! With it’s wonderful storyline, fantastic cast of characters and fun steamy moments it is simply one you don’t want to miss. This is the first book I have read by this author but I am telling you now it definitely won’t be the last but simply the first of many! Her books are now being added to my Christmas wish list, I just hope my family are paying attention! LOL

This was a really sweet and adorable story. Enzo and Candi were just wonderful characters to read about , they are the type that you take into your heart as soon as you start reading about them. I adored Enzo, he was just the sweetest character ever and I was rooting for him and Candi the whole way through. I did feel for Enzo at times and how his past had an effect on how he viewed any potential future relationships. Candi was a really relatable character, again things in her past have made her the way she is today. This story was beautifully written and I would absolutely recommend it.
