True Colors by K. R. Raye is the final installment in The Colors Trilogy. I truly had so many moments of “oh my gosh” in this book that I lost count. I mean, I had JUST started the book and I was already sad! And then there was an attack that left me with my mouth open just staring at the book. So much happened in this book between all the lives lost and the new ones coming. All of the crazy twists that these friends have experienced. I am so happy they each got their happily ever after. This was a fantastic series and I’m sad it’s over.

Raye – Review by Kristan Anderson
The Colors of Love by K. R. Raye is book two in The Colors Trilogy. Wow this one was full of sooooo many surprises, secrets and crazy happenings! And just when I thought the book was almost over, I’m only 44% of the way done?! Hello what more can happen!? Melody’s rant toward Imani was perfection. I loved every word. Between all of the friends getting their own chapter it seemed, there was so much development. It sometimes became hard to keep up but because it all ties together it does come back around. I am so rooting for Lance. He is turning into a better guy although he does still have his moments. The love this trio of friends has for one another is so obvious and I am here for it.

Raye – Review by Kristan Anderson
The Colors of Friendship by K. R. Raye is book one in The Colors Trilogy. I took a chance on this book and overall I did enjoy it. Some of this was hard to read and not necessarily because of content. There seemed to be too many parts of the story. Too many different peoples voices to read about. I wasn’t sure whose story this was supposed to be or the trio as a whole. I did like that you seemed to get the full picture if what was happening but just felt like too many voices. I really liked Imani, she was the perfect best friend. Though their friendships seemed a little weird for only knowing one another a short time, I think back to my own freshman year of college and absolutely bonded with a “random” guy on the first day and we are still friends to this day. So the story felt realistic. And shoot I wasn’t expecting that ending! What a cliffhanger! I cannot wait to read book two!

I was totally excited to pick up this book and it did not disappoint. El (Melodie) and Wil are a perfect match. El is the daughter of a very famous rock star and all she wants is to sing. El love everything music….but her parents, especially her father, are very over protected especially from the paparazzi and limelight. At first Wil has a secret agenda…..and the plan starts to work in his favor until he meets and gets to know the “real” El (Melodie). Wil and El team up when El needs a guitarist last minute and they have an instant connection in both music and heart. Once secrets and lies about a past come to light..Wil and El are tested….
This story is fantastic…..and I did not want it to end. The story just flowed, even though it was a slow burn, every piece came to life. Secret agenda, lies, paparazzi, disguises, and the spark between Wil and El …..I am already looking forward to seeing where Wil and El’s next step in their journey in music, life and love end up next!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. It won’t be my last. The book had me hooked from the beginning. I didn’t want it to end and I will be looking forward to the next book. Jake is the first book in the Billionaire Blind Dates Series.
Jake is a billionaire and is proud of it. What he’s not proud of is the women thinking they can demand an engagement shortly after they start dating. His friends want him to go on a blind date. How will he feel once he finds he’s dating his friend Cade’s assistant. The quote I chose for Jake is: “What would happen the moment she sees my name? She’d look me up and we’d be right where I am now. No difference, just more hoops to jump through.”
Lauren doesn’t like billionaires and won’t date them. She’s also having problems with her roommate. When her friend Catherine offers, once again, for her to move in she takes it. It’s not long before Catherine talks her into going on a blind date. There she’ll meet Jake and fall for him. What happens when she finds that he’s a billionaire? The quote I chose for Lauren is:“I’m game. Let me grab some things for overnight then, so I can at least brush my teeth.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

This book was a must read in my books, I love how the story was told. We really got to see through the eyes of living in fame. The book was eye opening at moments, enjoyed the depth in which it went.
Personally I loved how Melodie was the one who told the story. You got to understand her, feel her emotions, when she was happy or when she felt pained and alone. To me that was deep and meaningful and I enjoyed that aspect. I loved how Music was Incorporated into the story as much as it was. Really well with the story and the characters. I enjoyed Will as a character as well. Him and Melanie were adorable. Things were not easy though, there was good as well as not so great moments. I loved how the story went the author certainly has a way with their writing! I was very much intrigued all the way through. I very much cannot wait to read book 2, with the cliff hanger that happened! I very much loved this book and its contents.
Great read. Deep and full of intrigue, and its own brand of cuteness with the characters. Eye opening. Must read the author as well for sure. Must read book. Highly recommend this author and book without a doubt!

I really enjoyed this story. I like the fact that the story is told from the point of view of El (Melodie) and Wil. It really helps the story have more depth and it wasn’t done in a way that made the story confusing to read. The main aspect of this book is music and the passion surrounding it. There are a lot of secrets and lies to uncover and unravel as the story progresses and when each is revealed it brings more insight into our characters.
El is the step daughter of a famous rockstar. Her dream is to make it in the music business off her own talent. El loves music and really wants to make it her life but with her over protective mother and step- father everytime she tries they always seem to destroy her dream. Wil moves to Amercia to find his dad. He knows he is a famous rockstar. So he moves to America under the disguse of being part of a show but with hopes of finding his dad.
When Wil and El meet in a bar Wil steps in to help her after she is let down. After singing together they start to get closer and their chemistry is intense. But there are secrets that will be revealed which will cause heartbreak for one or both of them.
What is the secret which will change their lives? Will El ever get her music career off the ground or will her parents continue to stop her? Will Wil ever find his father and what will be the outcome if he does?
This books is a beautiful story to read. The romance is slow blooming and captivatingly written. I literally got lost in El and Wil’s story and didn’t want it to end.

Read this if you enjoy: *friends to lover’s trope *music and performances *the popstar lifestyle *unexpected secrets
Meet the Author: Willa Drew is not one, but two writers of fun, flirty fiction full of feels. (Say that three times!) Lovers of emotional scenes, dramatic scenarios, and the best the world has to offer. Their young adult and new adult romances are full of angst, secrets, and risk taking. You can expect slow burns, heart flutters, soul mates, first loves, and swoon worthy kisses.
Synopsis: “Music isn’t just some hobby: it’s my everything.” Mel is on a mission to achieve her life goals and follow her dreams. 10 minutes before show time she finds her guitarist sloppy drunk at the bar. Wil, a talented guitarist, in the states on scholarship happens to be in the right place at the right time. The two perform on stage together and the chemistry ignites.
Reader’s Thoughts: This is my second time reading a novel by Willa Drew. I was immediately sucked in and couldn’t put this one down. From the bodyguards and paparazzi to the secrets and lies and the strong family ties, this story had my heart singing for more. Mel’s constant reference to everything music put a sweet touch on this novel. With Mel and Wil’s (WE) cute banter I couldn’t help but adore their slow burn relationship. I was pleased that this novel was not overly mushy, and the relationship was so pure in more ways than one. We Blend is the first installment of the Falling for the Rockstar’s Daughter Series. After the cliffhanger at the end, I can’t wait for We Breathe to be released next year.

Secrets, music and a budding romance This was an engaging read and had me staying up way into the night as I could not put it down. The whole way along we are treated to an insight into El’s life as a child of a rockstar and Will’s complex life lined with secrets. I love the dual POV as it gives the story so much depth. The layering of the story is brilliantly executed and there is the right balance of tension and tender moments. Warning there is a cliffhanger at the end leaving the perfect opening to book 2.

Ella has been stuck on tour with Jared for months and it is becoming harder to avoid the grumpy drummer, it also does not help we have a history and he is a man whore but in just a couple of days I will be away in a cabin with no interruptions will be bliss.
After leaving the tour early she arrives in the beautiful cabin in the mountains alone and we the piece and quiet she wanted desperately awaiting the rest of the girls until the bliss is shattered and in walks the one person she is trying to get away from, the man who broke her heart Jared.
Jared is lost at the moment, with the tour being over he needs the downtime and were better to have it than his friends cabin in the mountains. Once he arrived he is greeted by the one person he is trying to escape from, the one woman who has bury in his soul and want let go.
Then the unthinkable happens, they are snowed in. As the realisation of the situation they try and draw a truce but will time alone together trigger the truth that they are truly meant to be together.
I love the Enemies to friends genre and this story is brilliant and well written. The story shows inside the minds of both characters who are a little jaded regarding each other and themselves but try to discover the true person. Although the character had me confused with his dramatic switches for most of the story but in the end I did get to love him more and more as his true character was revealed.
The character of Ella was a fitting opposite although I would have liked her a bit more sassy in the attitude she complimented Jared brilliantly. The story was engaging and held my interest through till the end and although this is the first book I have read within this series I found you could read this as a stand alone book, that said I will go back and read the others in this series as I would like to see how the other couples met.
Thank you for a lovely read and as before can’t wait to read more in this series.

WOW WOW WOW This book was great! I could not put this book down as I was needing to know what was going to happen next. This is the first book that I have read by this author as well as the first in the series and it was such a great read. Reading these books out of order did not in any way disrupt the flow of these books, which is great as I will now buy the other books as well to read about the other characters! If you are looking for a great contemporary romance novel to read this is the one for you!

El & Wil make such a cute couple. She’s trying to live her dream. Her mom and stepfather, the rocker, are in the way. Wil meets her when he tries to get to know his stepfather, the rocker. I have to say that the adventure of avoiding The Rocker kept me chuckling. I loved the chemistry of El & Wil. The tone of the story is cute and entertaining. I found the characters quite a delight. They just want to get on with their life. When Wil takes her home to meet his mom is precious and the sweetest. I found this one of the most adorable romance novels and I really can’t wait for the next book in the series. The humor, drama, and romance all come together to create a book that everyone can enjoy.

Escaping the shadow of my famous rockstar step-father… and the paparazzi, is how I find myself microphone-in-hand at a bar off campus wearing a disguise and my heart on my sleeve.
I just want to sing. I need melodies like I need air to breathe. Music isn’t just some hobby: it’s my everything. And from the moment Wil steps on that stage next to me, I know my life won’t ever be the same.
Our connection is instant. We want each other almost as much as we want the money. He’s in the States on scholarship, and I’m trying to make my way in the industry. We forge an alliance, not knowing the secrets we both keep.
Even tangled in a duet of lies, we make sense . . . we blend. Together, we could have it all. Or lose our hearts.
Willa Drew is not one, but two writers of fun, flirty fiction full of feels.
Lovers of emotional scenes (don’t tell anyone: someone always cries as we write them), dramatic scenarios (don’t blame us, the characters insisted) and the best the world has to offer like eclairs and butter tarts (don’t ask us to share, but we’ll point you to the recipes).
Our young adult and new adult romances have every flavor. Angst? Check. Secrets? Of course. Risk taking? You bet. Expect slow burns, heart flutters, soul mates, first loves, and swoon worthy kisses.

This was my first experience with this series but I am now a fan. The chemistry between Ella and Jared was super hot. Even when they were at each other’s throats, the electricity danced on the page.
Ella met the man of her dreams only for him to disappoint her one week later. When she walked away, Ella hoped to never see him again. Imagine her surprise when he turned up in her sister’s kitchen. Now she is on tour with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend’s band (guess who the drummer is?) having to watch the man she thought was special be your typical rockstar with a rotating bevy of groupies.
Jared can’t explain his attraction to Ella. Jared doesn’t want to. He just wants to be a rockstar. When Ella comes on tour with the band as the nanny, Jared plans to avoid and ignore. That doesn’t work. Just being around her sets him off in all the wrong ways. The only way he can escape her and his feelings is to avail himself of the opportunities presented.
When Ella plans a girls trip and heads to the cabin early to escape Jared, Ella gets an unexpected visitor. Seems like there was a giant miscommunication. This could be easily solved except for the six feet of snow that piled up overnight and that keeps coming down. Now Jared and Ella are stuck together until they can be dug out.
Fantastic story. Fun characters and love the relationship between Ella and her sister. Special shout out for the special care in discussing and addressing the mental health issues. Bonus points awarded!! Now, I have to go back and get to know the rest of the band!!

Defying Ella is the fourth book in the True Platinum series by Morgana Bevan. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Bevan- and I have to say, what a great introduction it was. I didn’t realise when I snapped up a copy of this book, that it was the fourth book in the series. But it appears that each instalment in the series focuses on a different couple- so each book can be read as a standalone. But having said that, this story has left me with a taste for more of Ms. Bevan’s work- so I will definitely be one-clicking the rest of the series to explore. I can’t wait to discover more about the other characters and what has happened previously. Here we meet bad boy rocker Jared, whom I both wanted to throttle and lick, sometimes simultaneously. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like him- but he won me over. Ella, Ella, Ella- I wanted to hug her- and then shake her, hard, out of complete frustration. All the push-pull, hate-love-hate, angsty tension and drama played a fine tune with my all my emotions, that’s for sure. If you love your bad boy Rockstar romances, then you won’t want to miss getting your hands on a copy of this book and diving in asap. Happy Reading!

Ella has just spent time on tour with a guy who she had a brief fling with (and who seems to love making her life miserable), and she is looking forward to a couple of weeks in a cabin with all her best girlfriends. After going up early, she is shocked when said pain-in-the-butt rockstar arrives…along with a snowstorm that traps them in. In the days that follow…Jaren and Ella go from wanting to kill each other, to calling a truce, to opening up and being honest, to sharing time between the sheets. Jared learns about the way Ella truly feels about herself and her place in the world…while Ella learns about the mask Jared wears daily. However, when the snow is cleared and they can return home, will their truce and feelings last? Or was it just a way for Jared to pass the time? What happens when lines become blurred and lies feel like truths?
I enjoyed reading this book. The way Ella feels about trying to find her place and purpose, and Jareds anxiety and need to hide who he really is and how he really feels, felt real coming off the pages. These are situations and feelings that people have to deal with…and it was discussed openly and honestly. The storyline was good and kept me engaged from beginning to end.

A lovers to enemies to lovers classic! This was my first read by this author and it didn’t disappoint. As evidenced by my review, this can be read as a standalone, though it is part of a series; I certainly intend on going back and reading the ones I’ve missed now though. I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down!
Ella and Jared’s story is a page-turner full of tension and vulnerability. Who wants to be snowed-in with their former lover and current enemy? Always on each other’s last nerve and full or spit and vinegar, Ella and Jared eventually let their guards down and open up to one another…but is it enough to last? Will they even survive the holiday snowed-in together?
I loved the unraveling of this story and the details provided by the author that helps build the characters up. Told from Ella’s perspective, we know her the best, but also get to see many sides of Jared. I really enjoyed the banter between the characters. The tension is palpable through the book story. I highly recommend this one!

This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. Lets just say that these two liked to challenge each other, especially with the tension and hot connection they obviously had. When a snow storm hits they have no choice but to wait it out, with each other. Will they finally work through their issues?
Overall I loved these characters and their story. We get some steamy scenes as well. The author does a great job with her writing. This can be read as a standalone even though it’s part of a great series. If you like Rockstar romance you will love this one. 1-click and get started today.

A great stepbrother enemies to lovers romance. The chemistry between the characters was well written, and the story had enough drama, angst and suspense to keep you turning the pages. I love a good rockstar bad boy romance with a good girl attached. Jared and Ella went through so much with each other. So much insecurity and misunderstanding, but also so much love. Jared was someone you hate to love, but rooted for along the way. Ella was a bleeding heart and wore her feelings on her sleeve. From start to finish I liked their story and this is one journey you will enjoy following.

This book was funny and pulled you in and spat you back out! Ella has a heart like no other and is very forgiving but understanding at that. Jared is hot and a jerk to say the least but it’s a cover and Ella sees right through it. She does what is right and best for her and Jared toward the end which makes him grow up and make the right choices. I can’t get over Sparky and Buttercup. I know that when the part came along where they were finally free my heart broke and I cried for Ella in shock and disbelief at Jared, I’m not sure I could have let him back in but that is what makes her a special character.

I had not read the first three books in the series, but the story was definitely great as a standalone. There was enough backstory on the other characters to not feel overwhelming or possibly repetitive if you had read them all, but just enough detail to know what was going on, but know that there was more to their stories. I absolutely adored Ella and Jared! I love my rom-coms, but so often I feel like they follow such a predictable pattern and everything is always wrapped up so neatly. This story absolutely kept me on my toes as to what was going to happen next and the author did a great job of showing two people who want to be together, but they are messy and it’s ok. I loved how real the dynamics felt between the two characters. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great story with some very steamy scenes. I can’t wait to check out the other books and any future books in the series.

Defying Ella is a Rockstar contemporary romance. Even though it is the fourth in the True Platinum Series where each book is cantered around a different couple but can be read as standalones. It is a tale that had me up in arms at times. It is a love hate but hate to love relationship. The story really packs a punch in the feels and left me wanting more. I wish it had been written in dual POV because it would have really would have blown us away.
Jared is a bad boy rock star with attitude one where you want to smack him down for is treatment of Ella but then swoon after him. You find out why and that does redeem him.
Ella hates how she wants him. I didn’t know if I wanted to hug her or tell her to walk out the door and leave him and his sexiness behind. But the heart wants what the heart wants and it lets you see more than what is on the surface. However, she is not a walkover.

This book is part of a series where each member of a band has their own book. This book can be read as a stand-alone as that’s how I read it but the characters have history that I’m assuming were explained in a previous book. That didn’t make me love it any less. Ella and Jared had previously met and spent a week together until Jared just pushed her away to do his own rockstar thing. Ella ends up on tour with Jared’s band, her sister and her niece and has to see Jared parade his flavor of the night around all the time. That is until Jared and Ella are somewhere together for a long period of time. Ella cannot stand to be in the same room as Jared and his mood swings. What will happen now when they are stranded with no one but eachother. I absolutely loved this book and wish I read the others.

This book is all about the characters from the moment they are introduced. The connection between them is instantaneous and you can feel it in every page. They have such a rocky start, it is hard to see how they will ever find a way to be together. But the connection between them clearly grows into something more than they could have expected. This is a new author to me and I have very much enjoyed her work. The book was well written and the characters were completely believable. Although this is the fourth book in the series it can be read as a standalone, although I will be going back to read them all!

I enjoyed reading this story. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading as it is just as enjoyable as this one. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story pop and come to life. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story from the start. The characters are connectable and have great growth throughout the story. There is great chemistry between them which makes the story easy to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. An engaging story that you don’t want to miss. There is much going on in this story but the other did a great job of keeping the story flowing. This made such a great story to read. I highly recommend this book.

Raye – Review by Bobbi Wagner
I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is my first book by this author which I look forward to seeing what is next for her. This is a well written story about what can happen in a snowstorm in one cabin and a hot, steamy rock star. This is a fast paced story that is not only hard to put down but easy to read. The characters bring the story to life as well as keep the story engaging. I enjoyed how they pulled me into their story and kept me turning pages to see what would happen with them next. They have great growth and chemistry throughout the story. They truly made the story for me. You don’t want to miss what happens in this story. This is the fourth book in this series but can be read as a standalone. I look forward to reading more from this series. I highly recommend this book.

Jake is my favorite character and Lauren is a crazy chick. I love how Jake shows so much interest at the beginning for this girl. Until density took a spin for both of them. He must train her and make her his, but is he willing to who knows? Like people say love has its own path for both of them. Jake has trouble finding the right girl to be his submissive and for her to love him for him, not for his money. He sees love as a waste of time and his friends help him on a blind date.

This was a really gripping romance story between Ella and Jared. It’s definately a love story that you don’t see coming as right from the get go we see the connection between them to be one of angst and constant bickering not one for love to bloom. However the author does an amazing job with these characters. At first we see 1 side of them. We see how badly Jared treats Ella, the bickering between them is unreal and you don’t even think it’s from sexual chemistry as its just too much. However as time goes on we start to see deeper into Jared and Ella. We get to know them better and understand why they act the way they do. We get to experience every sense and feeling of fear and rejection and the terrifying prospect of wanting something so badly but being too scary to take the risk to get it.
Ella and Jared have a past so the attraction is there but once the bickering starts it’s hard for.either of them to return to that place before. Ella doesn’t want to have feelings for him. He’s always a jerk to her but something keeps.drawing her in. Jared on the other hand is being said jerk to keep Ella at arms length. He doesn’t want to open up about his feelings and opening himself to possible rejection so he decides to do the rejecting first even though the last thing he wants is to reject her.
Now they are trapped together in a storm. Will they be able to work out their differences and finally be able to open up honestly with each other? Or will being in the position of no escape from one another make the bickering and arguments even worse?
