We pop in with the band to get a view of the events leading to the meltdown, and breakup, of The Blind Rebels. We witness Maverick as he falls in love, Callum as he spirals deep into drug and alcohol abuse, Killian as he tries to keep his twin alive, and Sammy as he strives to hold them all together. It’s a view of the ugly side of being a star and being in the eye and in the target of so many. People want them for their fame, their money, and anything else they can get out of them. They are all exhausted, worn thin, and trying to find ways to cope with the side effects of their dreams coming true.
I haven’t read the series yet, so the extras felt a little out of my scope of understanding, but I’m looking forward to reading them and getting to know the characters better.
Love Rinkside is a fun, sweet novella thats is part of the Playmakers series and such an enjoyable book to listen to. Perfect narration, the story flowed so easily and I didn’t want it to end! Drew and Katie are not looking for love in so many ways…and nothing like a Halloween costume party to start getting to know them.
Drew is all work when it comes to his IT business…focused and not looking into find a relationship. Katie sworn off men, sick of feeling used. When Drew and Katie have an interesting night at a costume party .. they decided to take a chance on a date. One date up there another things are spicy and steamy with the connections and deniable what happens when there is a little bit of bump in the road. When that develops into feelings, blurred lines … will that deter the connection between Drew and Katie… or bring them closer then they expected in so many good ways.
I definitely recommend this book to listen to. It was a great story and I look forward to listening to more of this series.

K.C never thought she would see Chamberlain Lawrence again, the man known as The Predator when he is in the ring. Seeing him again is a punch to the gut and it has K.C. remembering the past and how they got to where they are now.
K.C. had her life planned out, not a life she wanted but was expected of her and she hated it. She had a plan to find her own path away from her wealthy political family. Pressure mounts though as she finds herself falling hard for the wrong man, Chamberlain, at least the wrong man in the eyes of her parents. She is ready to give everything up for Chamberlain but is he willing to do the same?
Riveting. I was not sure quite what to expect with this one, but it exceeded my expectations. I felt for K.C. she had such a rigid grin and bear it life and to see her blossom into herself was wonderful. I am so anxious to read the next book, can’t wait.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. I enjoyed this author’s writing style that made her characters come to life. I found this book to be well written and has some darker themes to it. It is a story about Becka and how she wants out of the life she has and just wants songs written about her. Then you have the Blind Rebels that look like they have it all together but behind the scenes they are barely hanging on. What happens when this group meets and what happens after is something you don’t want to miss. The characters are connectable and add so much to the story. I enjoyed watching their growth and the steam they bring to the story is great. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that is entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this book.
The book I have looked the most forward to and I was not disappointed! As with the others it ties in story line wise but I also enjoyed how the other stories continued within this one. They really meld together so you get a continuation of the other stories with a new one it’s fantastic. Would recommend this series to anyone!

I love Drew and Katie, their relationship build up is entertaining and steamy. For two people who are against dating, they make an awfully sweet couple, with them trying to keep it a secret that they are seeing each other, I completely get the all of the misunderstandings. I am not sure Katie’s dog not liking Drew is really an obstacle have to tackle but, I was rolling with it. The ending is super sweet, I love that Drew put thought into his apology and explained why he chose what he did, because Katie is spicy! Eleven months later! Absolutely in love with the eleven months later portion and how their relationship has progressed.

When we start this story in the trilogy, we are met with Rachel and Miguel. I am falling in love with this author’s writing. Her characters really make you feel with them. Relating with Rachel was refreshing because we have all had those relationships and what not where we feel stuck but know it is not the end. I cannot wait for the next story in this trilogy.

As you start this series you are met with Tess and Ryan. Upon further looking into this author I found out that this is actually a spin off of another series that they have written. I am a sucker for small town romances. This was so fun to read and the characters’ chemistry was well written in all aspects. You get to experience the ups and downs with both Tess and Ryan. This had me ready to dive into the next as soon as I got the chance.

This book was a very quick read for me. I was able to finish it in a day. It is really well written and will have you turning pages as quickly as you can. The characters in this book are amazing and you will feel like you want to be their friends by the end of it. It is a slow burn romance with a bit of spiciness tied into it. The characters have some amazing moments with quick wit and banter. It deals with relationship issues that a lot of people commonly find themselves in and it gives hope to that situation at the end of the day. I highly recommend reading this book because it has everything you could possibly want in a romance reading. The spice level was just enough to make you blush but not enough to make you question where you should be reading this book (well at least for me). I look forward to reading more from this author. Edward is the oldest of the O’Connell while in his youth he was a man about town, in the recent years he has seen his calling as a priest but has become illusion with his faith and needs a place to contemplate his life. So he makes his way back to Port Townsend his childhood and family home but what lies await for him when he gets there.
Lisette has her own chequered past but is keeping it well hidden, but secrets always have a way of coming out when you least expect them. So, when Edward enters the café and starts getting to know Lisette he becomes more intrigued with her everyday but can she hide her past from him especially when his family is against there friendship.
This book was lovely and heart warming, the characters were well developed and just brilliant to read you felt as a reader that you were invested into the story. I have not read the other books in this series and although I followed the story and understood a lot I feel if I had read the whole series I would have had a better understanding of dynamics of the family and each family member.
I loved these characters and all the secondary characters just adds to this story and with the fast pace its makes it unable to put down. The chemistry jumps off the page and I fell in love with these two beautiful people. I will go back and read the series from the beginning as this story has made me intrigued to get to know the O’Connell’s in more detail.

Damien and Cadence definitely fit together like a puzzle piece! The growth of their relationship was perfect!
Elijah- eff you! I did not like this guy and any time he and Cadence were together I would scream at my Kindle wanting her to leave him, even before Damien came into the picture.
Their relationship was so toxic and full of red flags that it’s easy to hate Elijah, there were absolutely no redeemable parts to him as a person or their relationship. I hated how she kept trying to get him to be the person she met/fell in love with, but that is also what made this feel so real for me since it does happen in real life, when they did finally break up though I was so happy!
I don’t normally read books like this so going into it I didn’t know how I would like it… and boy did I like it. No… LOVED it! I couldn’t put my Kindle down. This story hooked me right from the start and if it wasn’t for real life getting in the way I would have devoured this book so fast. The story is easy to get into, the characters are relatable, and even the internal pov was amazing and never boring. There are some sad parts, or at least to me they were, that made me want to jump into the book and give Damien the tightest hug.
This book is a slow burn, though, with them not getting together until chapter 22 for a while. Some twists happened and they were broken up again until chapter 32. The build-up for their first time together was so worth it though, and of course, I was screaming at my phone when Elijah came between them (again eff you, Elijah).
I give only a few books a 5-star rating, but this work of art deserves it! Watching the growth between Cadence and Damien, the personal growth of Cadence and her finding herself again after losing who she was, the relationships between friends and family, all of it was just perfection and so well written that giving it any less would be a crime.

K.C becomes nervous when she watches her ex, Chamberlain “The Predator” Lawrence, fight. He wins and turns toward her. Shocked that her nickname is tattooed on his chest, K.C grabs Beth and rushes towards the exit. One of his entourage stops them, saying Chamberlain wishes to speak to her. She refuses and drags Beth into the car, waiting for them. Beth tells her to explain what the heck was going on. K.C shares her past with Chamberlain and what led to her move from Boston to Denver.
I was hooked immediately, as K.C is the black sheep of the family. I completely empathize with her struggles to establish her identity as an individual. The status quo of privileged socialites and power marriages is present in the book. Chamberlain is the guy every girl dreams of as Prince Charming. Despite possessing endearing traits, he also has several flaws, such as severe jealousy and not recognizing that Gwen, his best friend, is a bit too handsy. The character development in this story makes the unpredictable plot breathtaking. Exceptional detail made it easy to envision what was going through K.C’s mind as she told her story. I am eager to read the sequel and fully support a five out of five star rating for this book.

This is the fifth and final installment in this series but can be read as a standalone. This author wrote this book with great detail. I was brought into the story from the beginning. This story is about overcoming one’s past and second chances. The chemistry between Edward and Lisette is very strong. The author wrote this story in such a way that you feel connected to the characters and their outcome. After reading this book I will definitely be going back to read the books in this series that I missed. This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed the writing style. I stayed enthralled in the story throughout the entire book. I recommend this book.

I don’t think I have read anything by this author in the past but if I come across another one of her books I definitely will be reading it. I enjoyed the cast of characters, they were a little overwhelming, trying to remember who is who and so forth. But certainly worth reading and getting to know them.
Edward leaves the Priest hood and comes home, he goes to the diner and meets Lissette. Some of his family members do not care for her but they tolerate her because of Edward. As they get to know her, they realize that she is nice and good for him.
There are twists and turns in this story that will hold your interest and keep you reading. Check out this book I think you will be glad that you did.

Loved the storyline, very cute romantic read. I though the beginning was funny and cute and would lead to somewhere, especially when they got caught by the cops not once but twice!!! Drew seems like he is hooked on work and hockey, Katie is on a manhating mission due to the fact that she has been unlucky, and her last boyfriend used her for his own personal reasons.
Both are falling for each other but not sure how the other one feels. Of course, I’m not going to ruin it and tell how it ends but this book definitely had me in my feels. Funny, cute and all the right romance to make it a perfect cozy read.

The Predator Part One is the first book in The Predator Series by Brooke May. It is a wonderful contemporary, second chance, sports romance, with lots of emotion, angst, drama, family dynamics, friendship, opposites attract, superb characters, and lots of sizzle. Chamberlain and KC are from two different worlds, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and these two have quite a journey ahead of them. As expected, Ms. May wrung my emotions dry- writing an engaging story that I was invested in right from the get-go. As Chamberlain and KC’s story continues in the next instalment, I have already devoured Book #2, because I needed to know what happened. Now on to Book #3. This book is very cute. The meeting between Drew and Katie is hysterical and had me laughing for the first chapter of this Novella. This is a spinoff of the Playmakers series (which I have not read and now must go read). I was not lost or in any way confused about the storyline and the characters. Love Rinkside is the first I’ve read in this series, The Playmakers, but I loved it, so I’m sure I’ll go back and read others. This book is a perfect rom-com story. The beginning is hilarious and the laughs kept coming. Both Drew and Katie were wonderfully written and likeable. The supporting characters are well developed and give a preview of the other books. The ending was perfect, it was both funny and sweet. I like how the author built their lovable dogs into the story.

If you’re looking for an entertaining book to distract you on your commute or whenever you listen to books I suggest you get this one.
Katie and Drew’s initial meeting had me giggling at first then the picture of what was described had me laughing out loud. Their story was a cute one and I throughly enjoyed listening to it to get me through my work day.
The narrators Ryan Lee Dunlap and Shiloh James did a great job bringing Katie and Drew’s story to life. This was the first time listening to either one of them but will definitely look for more book they narrate.

The Music That Ties Us is part of the Love Ties Us series by Nicolette Terry, I have never read a book by this author before, but I will be keeping an eye out for more. I really enjoyed everything about this book, it got me mad which is a good thing. The story follows Cadence who finds herself in an unfulfilling relationship with a who is stifling her, when Cadence goes to a concert with her sister Jade, she does not expect to have an instant connection with the smouldering lead singer of the band. Damien is not in the market for a relationship, especially one with a woman who is already taken, he has been burned before and has learned his lesson however, he cannot deny the attraction he feels. This was a really enjoyable book, I got so mad at Elijah and the way he treated Cadence that I was practically shouting at my Kindle. I really wish this book had included him getting his comeuppance rather than seemingly being able to walk away without consequence, but hopefully, future books will revisit some of these storylines. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series.

This has to be one of the funniest romances I have read in a while! The entire book is filled with humor, but sizzling heat between Drew and Katie. The whole mascot idea was hysterical. I think my favorite part of the book was the way these characters actually met. It was a quick read and I didn’t want to put it down. It is a novella, but not having read the other Playmakers books, I felt like I didn’t miss out on anything, but I will definitely be adding all other Playmakers books to my list!

I have never met a more relatable character than Blakley. I too binge watch Greys Anatomy and indulge myself in my favorite DoorDash order when I’m taking a mental day.
I really enjoyed this story. It was extremely realistic. It showed the different aspects of human relationships. We saw grief, love, betrayal and forgiveness. It wasn’t a fairy tale romance but you can feel how deep the love runs. I don’t personally have experience with a loved one seeing the horrors of war, but it seems like the author did a very good job capturing survivors guilt and ptsd.

The characters are relatable, complex, raw yet realistic and developed. My emotions were all over the place with this story and my heart was happy and sad for these two. I don’t want to give anything away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already waiting patiently for the next book in this series. I’m sure it’s going to be just as good as this one. I can’t wait.

This is the conclusion to a very enjoyable series. I do highly recommend reading these books in order as the progression of the story is important to understanding how this all comes together. It’s always fun to read a series in it’s entirety, but it can bring about a bittersweet ending to a family that you feel like you’ve become a part of during the time you were reading.
This story is sweet but not without drama, action, suspense, and a few deep rooted secrets. You’ll find yourself feeling like a part of this family, especially if you’ve followed them all the way through the series. I also have to mention this cover. Just look at those eyes and the scenes behind him! Both drew me into this book!

Kate and Drew meet under the most comical of circumstances. One dressed up like a male appendage and one as a Banana Slug! Under the disguise of the costumes they hit it off.
Once revealing who they actually were to each other they quickly discovered they have the same group of friends. Swearing off relationships right out the gate they more or less went their own way.
When a chance meeting at the dog park had them running into one another the sparks were there. Will they be able to connect and get thru to one another and keep the humor they hit it off with?
This is my first book by this author and the first in this series and I am already searching for more and wanting more.

This story starts out so funny. In a place where you could actually believe what you are reading. Meeting at a Halloween party, Drew and Katie have no interest in meeting a partner. But yet their costumes draw them together. Causing shenanigans to commence. From there the story keeps you reading as you don’t want to miss a thing. I will give no Spoilers as this is a Must read! I will tell you unexpected and unwanted romance is in the story along with Hockey.The author has once again brought forth an outstanding series. This one just adds to the fun and laughter. The story is fast paced and one of my favorites in this series. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Drew didn’t want to be at this Halloween party. He especially didn’t want to be at this Halloween party dressed as a banana slug. But there he was, at least he found a nice place to hide and it had a stash of decent beverages. Then when she came crashing into his quiet, Drew wasn’t sure what or who she was but he was instantaneously intrigued by her.
Katie knew she wasn’t ready, if she ever was going to be ready, for a new relationship after that last one. He was a complete jerk. It was fine, Katie was very happy living in Singledom. She even told that to the giant banana slug. He was good with it. He felt the same. When Katie and “Sammy the Slug” decided they had enough of the party and wanted to escape, they did so only knowing the fake names they had given to each other. All the fun they were having on their grand adventure escaping the dreaded party came to a screeching halt when the red and blue lights flashed.
When Katie and Drew found out who the other was, they realized that they had been in each other’s orbits for several years but never quite made any connections. Drew and Katie tried to be friends. But the chemistry was too much. They both knew what each wanted out of this situationship. They had both said it the night of the Halloween party, happy in Singleville, not looking to move. Giving into their desires, they lit it up.
The problem with thinking that you know what another person wants is that you really don’t know. As Katie and Drew fought their feelings for each other, fought the pull to find out if the other one wanted more than just casual, fought their own insecurities and ghosts, trouble brewed. When the trouble bubbled over, there were broken hearts all over. When Drew figures out that he can’t live without Katie, can an over the top grand gesture heal what was broken by some careless words?
Plug your headphones in (or charge them) and listen to this captivating story!! Laugh, love, and get covered in dog hair along with these engaging characters!! Highly recommended for all the hockey lovers out there.
