This was the fourth book in the series and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend reading the series in order so you can get the full story on the characters. There is a lot of history between the characters that the story refers back to. I think this one may have been my favorite so far. The relatable plot along with the character growth was amazing. I absolutely adore Becky, like she is my favorite character in the series so I was so happy to finally get her story. I thought I knew where the story was going and I was wrong! It took me by surprise more than once as I was reading. As always I love the author’s writing style. They do a really great job at explaining the scene so that you can actually picture everything playing out. This was such a sweet romance. I cannot wait to read James’s story next!

Is it possible to forgive someone for their past transgressions? KG Fletcher presents the fourth book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. Becky Bennett has found her life on the family Christmas Tree Farm and Winery has become dull. Every day she provides meals for her father, brothers, and hired hands. She had become successful on her YouTube Channel since Elyse Farrell had managed to secure promotional deals. When Glen Kirby brings her a bushel of apples, she is reminded of how he had almost killed her brother Teddy and threatened Walt with a loaded gun. However, Walt had offered to help Glen to rebuild his life and buy back his family homestead. Glen had successfully gone through rehab for his addiction, worked sunup to sundown with no complaints. However, his only friend was his black cat, Garth.

Becky sees Glen in town after she placed her Christmas flower decoration order. Glen admitted he had just come from a meeting he attended at the rehab center. He had achieved 8 months of sobriety. Becky insists on buying him a coffee house where they became better acquainted. Glen asked Becky to join him on Halloween for dinner and watch the children in their costumes. She agreed and they spent a delightful evening together. Becky makes Glen an apple pie, deciding to forgive him for his past since her family had done so as well. Walt asked Glen to check in on Becky while their father and brothers were in Nashville. Glen agreed and made baked apples to take to Becky. They spent hours just talking and playing cards. As the weekend continues, the pair spend more time together and their feelings grow. However, they both know her family wouldn’t approve of their relationship.

I felt sympathy for Glen. He really was trying to do the right thing to make his life right. He had no family, no home, and his reputation was based on his past. While the Bennetts said they forgave him, they still reverted to his past on judging his worthiness of seeing Becky. Instead of allowing her to be independent and make decisions as the adult that she was, they kept telling her that he was a bad person. My personal experience made this story relatable and I thought the irrational actions from the brothers were fueled by Samantha and Robyn since they hated Glen and were part of law enforcement. They both looked at statistics and no guarantee that he might not relapse. I automatically dislike them, despite the past books that brought them to become the wives of two of the brothers.

The question of what true forgiveness is brought into focus in this story. Can someone change their life? Once an addict will always be an addict. My opinion is that this statement is untrue. I think anyone can alter their life in a positive and negative way. And to forgive is to not hold a person’s past against them.

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls Book 4) by Libby Kay – Review by Ashley Mertz

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls #4)Faking the Fall by Libby Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Faking the Fall by Libby Kay is available now in eBook and Physical Book
⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review

I have yet to read a Libby Kay novel that I have not just adored. Faking the Fall is the fourth installment of the Buckeye Falls series. In this novel Kay introduces us to Alice and James with the “fake dating” trope. Returning to the small town of Ohio we escape reality and travel this fake journey with the two of them. However it doesn’t seem fake for long. The story line is sweet and innocent, allowing you to fall in love with both characters. I was rooting for the two of them to fall in love and find their happiness-ever-after the entire time. I’m not one to rush to pick up a fake relationship novel but this one was so much more than that. You won’t want to put this one down. I highly recommend this novel to all readers who enjoy small town romance novels with a twist.

This is the fourth book in this series which I enjoyed reading. This is a series that can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the previous books in the series. This will help your enjoyment of this author’s writing skills. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is full of romance and hard to put down. A small town romance where two neighbors never expected to find love in each other. Becky and Glen are great characters with steamy chemistry and have great growth throughout. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. A story full of romance and one you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I love myself a Libby Kay and this was no exception ! I loved the cover and the dedication left me with goosebumps and a tear in eye and I know I can be honest because there’s no judgment amongst fellows bookies 🥰📚

One of the things I appreciate and enjoy most about this series is the mention of old friends , they’re linked into each story and nobody is forgotten about 🥰 also I want a rainbow cardigan 🤣😉🌈

James , an artist from New York just needs to get away and he heads to Buckeye Falls and that’s where Max and Ginny welcome him amongst them .

He invests into the town it’s people and it’s council meetings and he also makes friends along the way and it’s at a meeting where he meets Alice as her brother is the mayor 😉
I love that she’s a librarian assistant, administrator to a degree helping her sister in law and friend and she’s highly intelligent and has more than one degree but nothing is beneath her while she finds herself and I do feel sorry for her because it’s as if the town and her family see her as the black sheep , she really is misunderstood but James sees that something in her and it lights his spark again both artistically and as a man ❣️

Max and Ginny also have some special need and that got me all googly eyed and I’m overjoyed for them at what is to come ….

I loved being back in Buckeye Falls amongst friends and family 🥰

This is a heartwarming story about the power of friendship and the journey of self-discovery. Brian is a bachelor who has walls up when it comes to relationships. Amanda is a romantic who goes back to Boston to follow her dreams. These two have an intense connection but a lot of baggage. They agree to remain friends – but that is getting harder and harder to stick to.

Becky and Glenn’s story is one that will have you feeling every emotion you can feel. It deals with loss, addiction, recover, heartbreak, family feud and maybe a few I missed. They both have some issues to overcome. Glen’s is a little larger. Watching them try to overcome was hard at times and at other times brought happy tears. All the Bennetts made an appearance in the book. They made the relationship a bit of challenge for them. This a beautiful story of redemption. Two souls broughr together through fire and hurt. Can they make this work for all time. You must read this story. You must read this series! It’s beautiful. It’s well-written. You won’t be sorry. Now, I’ll eagerly await Jame’s story.

Beyond Friendship (The Irresistible Series #3)Beyond Friendship by Marlyn Love
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Marlyn Love’s book Beyond Friendship had me in tears throughout the entire book. There were times that I wondered if Brian was ever going to catch a break. The poor guy had been dealt a hard hand to deal with not only from losing his father but then to be dealing with a lifelong illness that he was not willing to share the burden of with even his closest friends. Only his mom knew what he was living with, the same disease that had taken his father from them. Brian lived his life as a playboy with no strings attached, which was how he liked it, no chance of getting hurt or of allowing anyone to get hurt by losing him. Until he met Amanda, the goddess of his dreams, and his best friend Nick’s little sister. No matter how much Brian tried to move past his feelings for Amanda, he just couldn’t get over the fact that they had a strong pull of desire and attraction between them. Can Brian keep Amanda in the friend zone, and keep his illness a secret from his closest friends, or will fate have a different plan in store for him?

This book was so informative as well as so realistic, there were times when I would get so frustrated with the characters for the choices they were making, and other times when I wanted to jump for joy that they were finally being true to themselves and their feelings. All in all, I was invested in this book wholeheartedly, to the point that it literally had me in tears as I was reading, wiping my eyes just to see the words in front of me. This is such an inspiring love story, that left me feeling as if I’d just finished running a marathon right alongside the characters. This book has it all, you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a good read with a happily ever after.

Brian has been living it up and enjoying the bachelor lifestyle. He’s had his share of one night stands and is looking forward to one this particular evening until he discovers who his target is: Amanda. His best friend Nick’s younger sister. As for Amanda she’s back in town and getting ready to launch ladies boutique that she’s been dreaming of opening. These two have been dancing around each other for years, but now it seems the stars have aligned. I have gone and read these out of order as I did not realize this book was part of a series. The author did a great job of holding the attention of the reader and bringing these characters to life. The story can be read as a standalone, but now that I know a few of these characters have stories of their own I want to read them.

Merry Christmas, Montana is a very heartwarming love story between Mitch and Riley and let’s not forget her adorable 4 year old son Dylan. I have not read the first 2 books in the series but I will be definitely looking them up to enjoy more of aunt Janice’s matchmaking ❤️ and read the love stories behind the other characters within this book.

This story is an absolute rollercoaster of a romance in the best and softest of ways. It includes many of the tropes that we all know and love when looking for more contemporary romance books: best friend’s little sister? Check. A too hot man with a heavy secret holding him back? Check. A sweet girl just pursuing her dreams? Check. A successful man with a bachelor reputation? Check. An amazing slow burn romance? Check.
This is the story of Amanda Brown and Brian Fox, as they navigate their relationship through the years as it blooms and withers as they try and fight their attraction for each other. I definitely recommend taking the time to read this, I know I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

Beyond Friendship is a friends-to-lovers story about Brian and Amanda. Amanda is a clothing store owner who just moved back to her hometown. Her brother is best friends with Brian who ends up being a club owner. Brian is a ladies’ man and refuses to settle down due to a secret he holds. Brian sees Amanda at a bar one night and decides she is his next conquest, but upon approaching her, his best friend Nick comes to see his sister and the thought of her taking her home dies. However, both felt this amazing connection in just those short moments. Because he doesn’t “date” they remain friends. Over a handful of years, they remain friends and sexually keep their distance although Amanda doesn’t want that and tells him so. Brian eventually gives in and realizes he just can’t live without her. Both have never felt this way about someone else before. However, while both are extremely happy, the secret that he has becomes evident and he starts to let his insecurities take over his relationship and decisions for his future. Will Brian be able to get over himself long enough to see what is standing right in front of him?
I enjoyed this love story. There were ups and downs and moments where I hated Brian, but completely understood him. Brian turns into a loving, doting partner who can’t get out of his own way until things can’t get any worse. On the other hand, Amanda was an amazing character. She was portrayed as a lovely woman, ambitious, loving, honest, comforting, and understanding. As a woman, she handled herself very well through this story. Emotionally, there were also a lot of ups and downs so kept you on your toes and interested in the story.

Beyond Friendship (The Irresistible Series Book 3

I fell in love with all three of the guys in just this book. I hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting them before now but they all left quite an impression on me. Of course Brian’s was the biggest since it’s his story.

My emotions were all over the place while reading and may have gotten some weird looks from the family as I sat here crying during certain parts.

Amanda was exactly what Brian needed when she came into his life. The chemistry was off the charts from the moment they laid eyes on one another and resisted due to Nick warning him off and Brian not being interested in more than one night.

I need to go back and read Nick and Cole’s stories and I hope there will be another, don’t think this group is done telling their stories yet.

Beyond Friendship (The Irresistible Series #3) by Marilyn Love. I loved this contemporary romance. Its the story of Brian who owns a nightclub called Six-Pack and is determined to never have feelings for any woman. He’s a confirmed bachelor and has a huge secret to keep so he will never let himself fall in love. When he meets Amanda he thinks he can just treat her as every other woman but he finds out she is his best friends sister. That makes her off limits. Amanda is a very successful business woman and is very attracted to Brian until her friend tells her he’s a one night stand pro. Amanda is highly attracted to him and she can’t quit thinking of him. As they become friends they both want more but are both afraid. Will Brian be able to have a relationship with Amanda even though he doesn’t want anyone to find out about his secret? Will Amanda trust her heart and give Brian a chance or will she be to leary! A great contemporary romance!

I love a good single mother romance story and I have to say I was really taken with this one. There was something about the characters that I just really connected with and I wanted to know more about them. I loved watching the connection between the main characters grow. I was rooting for them right from the word go.
This is an author I am only vaguely familiar with, having only read a couple of her books. However, this book definitely cements the fact that I will be looking at what else she has to offer. This book was easy to read, really enjoyable and I loved every moment of it. This book is definitely worth the read!

This book is an engaging and enjoyable holiday romance story. There are some lovable characters right at its heart and I couldn’t help but become invested in them. They had both been burned by love in the past and have to work to find a way past it to find happiness with each other.
This book is the third one in an already great series. It can be read as a standalone but they are all worth the read. I always enjoy this authors writing style. Each book is well written, engaging and entertaining. They are the kind of books I like to sit with on a lazy afternoon to get lost in. I thought this was a thoroughly enjoyable story and I am looking forward to the next.

This was a charming romantic story. I enjoyed the author’s writing style. This is the third book in this series but it can be read as a standalone. Riley is a single mom trying her best to take care of her son, Dylan. Dylan is adorable and I think he made the story that much better. Mitch and Riley take some time to realize how they feel about each other because neither one was looking for a relationship. This book has family, love, laughter, romance all in a Christmas setting which made it a great read. I recommend this book, you do not want to miss out on this charming story.

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls Book 4) by Libby Kay – Review by Nicole Thompson

Faking the Fall by Libby Kay deserves every one of its five stars and more! Despite being the fourth installment in The Buckeye Falls Series, this book can be enjoyed as a standalone without any confusion. Kay brings to life the charming town of Buckeye Falls, Ohio, and this time, she shines the spotlight on Alice Snyder, sister of the town’s mayor, Anthony. Alice, accustomed to being the town’s black sheep, decides to take control of her love life when the town’s meddling goes a step too far. Her solution? A fake romance with James Gibson, a newcomer dealing with his own set of problems. While Alice doesn’t expect their fake relationship to evolve into something more, James is secretly hoping for just that.

This heartwarming love story provides the perfect escape from reality. I’ve devoured the previous books in the series and can confidently say that “Faking the Fall” doesn’t disappoint. Alice and James’s connection is incredibly sweet, and watching their story unfold is pure joy. Kay’s portrayal of small-town life is spot-on, with everyone sticking their noses into each other’s business, creating a delightful backdrop for the budding romance. From the first page to the last, I was captivated by this beautifully painted picture. So, whether you’re a fan of the series or a newcomer, grab your favorite drink, snuggle up with a cozy blanket, and get ready for a delightful romcom experience. “Faking the Fall” is a must-read and one of the sweetest love stories I’ve encountered!

Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker – Review by Jessie Hopkins

I felt connected to Hope from the very start. She has a vision for her life and isn’t going to settle for anything less than wonderful.
Adam’s story is relatable and yet heartbreaking. He is reluctant to open up again with what happened the last time he did.
To open your heart after such a monumental loss is difficult and scary. But it seems like their paths just keep crossing and have been for months, since their first chance encounter At what point do you just cave in and let fate take over, just accepting that maybe this person is put in your life for a reason?

Grab your tissues and block out some time because once you start you will be hooked on this book.

When Holly starts out her new Cheer cycle, she decides to do something a little bit different, she finds a flyer about a fall festival in a small town and realises that it isn’t something she has tried yet and that it would be a great opportunity to test a theory she has about small towns and how much Cheer they have, so she hops in her faithful sleigh and heads to Emerald Hollow, but as soon as she enters the nearest place, her Cheer watch goes mad and she cannot understand why, especially when she meets the owner, but she is determined to find out why. Ash is busy preparing for the fall festival the town holds every year, but this year he has also decided to try and boost the Christmas faire that they have, he even enters them into a Hallmark contest, something which will help the town bring in the tourism it so desperately needs, so when a beautiful woman orders one of his famous drinks in his restaurant, he cannot help but be drawn to her and he cannot understand why, but he decides to get to know her a bit first.

As the festival approaches, Holly and Ash spend time together and cannot deny that there is an attraction there, but Holly cannot afford to be distracted and when she mentions that she is leaving after the festival, Ash realises that that isn’t something he wants, he wants someone who stays, however, when she agrees to come back for the Christmas faire, he is glad. Things are not as they seem though and when Holly returns home with her bumper load of Cheer, things start to change for her, but is this change a good or a bad thing and where does Emerald Hollow and Ash fit into it all? Will Holly be able to figure out why her Cheer meter is reacting how it is before Christmas comes around and everything that comes with it, or will everything fall apart and slip between her fingertips? This is a new take on a old festive tale where small towns, Cheer and romance mix to create a magical story that everyone can enjoy.

Chasing Cheer (Emerald Hollow Book 1) by Heather Schneider – Review by Candice Estes

Chasing CheerChasing Cheer by Heather Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was an unexpected twist on the Santa Clause story, mixed with a happily-ever-after story. Holly Clause spends most of every year gathering cheer from the human world to power the North Pole. Everything Holly thinks she knows about the cheer and how it works changes when she finds a flyer for a festival in a small Oregon town, and decides to check it out, figuring that a festival is probably a good source of cheer. When Holly arrives, she quickly realizes that the town and the people in it are different, and the cheer works differently for some reason. Holly spends a little bit of time there, then has to go home, but decides to go back for their Christmas Faire to help the town and the friends that she’s made. What she doesn’t expect, is to fall in love with a human, a man named Ashe, and the effects it will have on her magic. There is a good bit of world building in this book, and the cliff hanger definitely leaves me curious what the future will bring for Holly, Ash, and the rest of the characters we’ve come to care about.

This story hit the spot with the cooler weather coming in! I am all about Hallmark Christmas movies and this book gives all the holiday vibes. I love the wholesome romances and then throwing in the holiday just makes that much better. Holly has taken over collecting Christmas Cheer for the North Pole. It is an important job that her dad made look effortless. She finds more than she expected in Emerald Hollow. When Ash comes into the picture everything changes. I loved how reading this book was like watching a movie. You will want to curl up with a fuzzy blanket and some hot cocoa to read Holly’s story! Looking forward to book 2!
