Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker is an emotional, heartfelt story about loss. love and healing. In this story, we follow Hope and Adam. These two have wonderful chemistry. Watching Hope give her all to help Adam was heartwarming and also heartbreaking. The author really pulls you in and you feel every emotion. This story made me cry more times than I care to admit. I fell in love with Hope and Adam and wanted the best for them, whatever that may be. This is such a good romance. It is very hard to put down.

This is a beautiful story. I really loved the characters, and the way the story is written really makes you slow down and adsorb what’s going on in the story around you. It was a bit of a slower read, but i really enjoyed all of the details the author put into it. It’s well written and thought out. Highly recommend.

Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker is a contemporary romance with love, loss, pain, grief, chemistry, challenges, dramatic developments, second chances, forgiveness, and hope. This isn’t your typical hearts and flowers romance, this is a raw, heartbreaking, and impactful tale where the author will toy with your emotions, shaking you up like a snow globe, before tending to your wounds. I recommend having wine and tissues close at hand for this read.
There are also possible triggers for some readers, so be aware before diving in. Sensitive topics include death of a loved one.
This is a beautiful, albeit heartbreaking tale of ‘all good things are worth the wait’, fate, second chances, overcoming obstacles, hope, forgiveness, and the healing power of love.
Looking forward to exploring more of Ms. Parker’s work…
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Angela K. Parker!

This is the third book of the North Fork Series. After reading the second book (which I really enjoyed) I went back to read the first book which is Fire Me Up. I know I didn’t have to, to understand this but the author tells such a good story. I just had to pick up the others’ stories from her. This one was a quick cute read with some steamy scenes you’ll love and a few twists you don’t expect but will enjoy. Wynter and Caleb even though they come from different backgrounds, I think they are perfect for each other and are soooo adorable together. Also omg who doesn’t love doggos 🥰🥰🥰🥰I’m looking forward to reading more books by Alicia Street

Melt My Heart is so relatable. If you throw money out the window and focus on the characters. Most people have been so hurt in a relationship that their trust is broken and their hearts are sealed. The author not only gives us one character like that but two. Brought together by a stray dog these two may very well be the broken pieces to mend one another.
However there’s a task that needs to be completed that makes it interesting.
Caleb is a local guy, former Navy Seal, and comes from a wealthy family with a lucrative business. He knows that most women see dollar signs and not him. At the same time they aren’t the ones who broke him. It was a girl he was in the service with who was severely injured and felt unlovable, not worth it. He never expected a beauty to fall into his lap, let alone be given a task by his godfather’s father to help her complete.
Wynter is starting over. Her life was destroyed In Manhattan by a man no less. She doesn’t want love, she just wants a career. Goals she set out for herself when in college. Caleb and this task were never in the cards. So what happens when those items start to change her?
These two go on an adventure of mending one another while trying to deliver a message. Easier said than done. But like I said at the onset, very relatable.
This is my first book in this series and by this author I’ve read. I look forward to digging more into both. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m sure there’s more where this one came from.

This was my first book in the series but 100% can be read as a standalone. This book is so good. The storyline, the character development, just all in all it’s a good book. It’s not too long of a read, but it’s not too short where it feels rushed. Even though the character relationship develops a little quick, it didn’t feel weird while reading it!

Wynter and Caleb come from very different backgrounds – Wynter used to hob-knob with the rich and charm them into donating to worthy causes, until heartbreak caused her to take a different path. She meets Caleb in a cafe where she waitresses and avoids love at all costs. Caleb is a former active duty Navy SEAL and has been burned by love, as well. They both swear off relationships until they run into one another while he stops in to grab a bite to eat.

Both characters are charming, sweet, relatable and familiar. Very likeable and as an animal lover, I enjoy the involvement of 4 legged characters, as well. Very cutesy comfort read, a lot of fun. Not many surprises but there are a few, and some heat as Caleb and Wynter advance forward from refusing love to a full embrace. Definitely a quick, enjoyable read and I’ll be checking in to the first 2 of this series, as well!

The fourth book in the Buckeye Falls series and it does not disappoint! Each book can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading them in order as many of the characters do appear in the subsequent books. This book is wonderful in so many ways. I found it very hard to put it down and spent most of an afternoon finishing it. Quick, easy to read with well developed plot and characters.

Almost and ForeverAlmost and Forever by Angela K. Parker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Almost and Forever is a sad, beautiful, and hopeful love story. “Hope” is a therapist who is looking for love but isn’t having any luck. It was New Year’s Eve when she realized her boyfriend was not her lifelong love. Her boyfriend was working that night and she was making a wish at her favorite fountain when “Hope” started up a conversation with a man and had a weird draw to him. While they did not say much verbally, the chemistry between the two was electric. However, Adam is thinking about proposing to his girlfriend. We come to find out that both of them found a connection, but it provided a different perspective for both of them. Adam is a successful man who ends up lost until a certain woman comes into his life. There are a lot of ups and downs, secrets, sadness, hope, and so much love in this book. I enjoyed everything about it. The characters were amazing. They each were patient, loving, brave, etc. The book moved quickly and was never boring. Things progressed beautifully and I was excited to see where their journey would end.

Merry Christmas, Montana (The Millers of Marietta Book 3)Merry Christmas, Montana by Elsa Winckler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Millers of Marietta series following Riley and Mitch. The series can be read as standalones but I highly recommend reading the series in order to gain a better understand of the characters, past events and the relationships between them.
Both Riley and Mitch have their share of trauma which shapes them into who they are, and they still experience issues related to this. Riley, a determined single mother, and Mitch a very protective but sweet teacher. Their paths collide and you can’t help but root for them as they both evolve and grow as the story progresses. I love good character development and this book certainly had that and add in the magical holidays and this is a sweet enjoyable read, perfect for Christmas.
The writing style was simple and easy to follow and flowed nicely. This added to my enjoyment of the story, especially when wrapped up in front of the fireplace.
I want more from the beautiful world the author has created so I think I’ll be doing a re-read of the series closer to Christmas to immerse myself once again.

This story is heartbreaking and sweet and so full of love and understanding. I love the way this author writes a flawed character in Adam. He may be a tough guy but he’s human and real. With real feelings and problems. I love that he finds himself at rock bottom and is able to rescue himself by asking for help. I love that he has “Hope”. Being a romantic at heart myself I believe everyone should have hope.

“Make every moment count” ~ Adam

“Use your head, but take notes from your heart. The head is no good without it.” ~ Mom

These quotes are not only from advice for the characters in this story but they are great pieces of advice for everyday readers! I like to say follow your heart but sometimes you must use your head.

Cruel Truths
By: T. Christensen

This was such a fun and easy to read enemies to lovers office romance! This is a trope that I generally enjoy and this one definitely delivered on my expectations.
This story sucks you in from the opening sentences where we meet Lindy who has a dream of being a fashion designer. The only thing standing in her way is Cade Kinglsey, who is her boss. It is clear that this working relationship is going to be anything but fun. However, beneath his prickly facade a lot is hiding and that’s where the fun really begins.
I truly enjoyed the characters in this story. Lindy is well developed and she truly just comes to life off of the page. She is a strong female lead, but it isn’t over the top or in your face, it just comes across as a driven individual who is working toward a dream. Cade was also a very interesting character and I’ll be honest I had very mixed feelings about him, but he definitely kept the story interesting. I definitely recommend picking up this quick and fun read!

This is a fun, standalone, contemporary romance. This book was written in multiple POV, which I personally love because I feel it gives the story a lot more depth than if it was written in only one. It lets us get to know each of the characters on a more intimate level and get to know their innermost thoughts and feelings. It also helps them to gain your attention. The author is fantastic at writing believable storylines that really transport you into the middle of it. This is a fantastic story about what happens when friendship and love mix. I definitely recommend picking it up for a fun book to read when you need one! It won’t disappoint!

It’s really a darling romance that will melt your heart. A very cute story helps too, who doesn’t love puppies? It’s a quick romantic read that’s quite entertaining. Several times I was chuckling and my husband asked why. I love explaining books like this to him. The characters are written so well that you feel like you know them. I really liked the storyline it was easy to follow and the authors lovely writing style was a pleasure to read. I loved Wynter, she really was such a lovely person, she had a warm heart and her passion in life was encouraging people to donate to worthy causes. The sweetest love story I have read in a while! Grab your favorite drink and a cozy blanket and snuggle up because you won’t want to put this down! I enjoyed how wholesome this story was. Alice and James have the sweetest connection and I loved unraveling their story. The small town life aspect is more than accurate as everyone is in everyone’s business and gossip spreads fast. Which is exactly what the couple needs to keep their peace. It was a beautiful painted picture that kept me engaged from start to finish! If you are looking for a cute romcom, look no further.

Merry Christmas, Montana is the third book in the heart-warming series The Millers of Marietta by Elsa.
This small-town romance is a fun story and a nice read to escape for a few hours. Plus, we get the added bonus of it being set around Christmas. It gives you all the feels and gets you in to Christmas mode.
The Millers of Marietta is about the Miller siblings as the name suggests, who moved to Marietta for a new start. You really should read the books in order as these wonderful characters cross over and you get to find out so much more about them. I love the characters and it is nice to catch up.
As I said this tale is filled with mixed emotions, taking chances, laughter, family, love, weddings, with slow burn romance and spicy undertones.
With just the right pace, some tension, and realistic characters that you can’t help but like it is easy to become invested.
I had mixed emotions about Riley in the beginning, but a broken heart will do that to a person, so I understand. She doesn’t have time for or want love. She is only in town for a cousins wedding. AND the fun begins.
Mitch was so easy to like and being the eldest he is a little overprotective and can come across as a grump. It was fun to watch these two dance around each other.
Plus, you hope that one little boy gets his Christmas wish.
This delightful story is also the perfect gift for Christmas, birthdays or just because. It leaves you eager for what’s to come next.

Melt My Heart by Alicia Street is book 2 in the North Fork series, and it will lift your spirits. I was first introduced to this sweet romance tale in the anthology Irresistible at Christmas – Pets to the Rescue and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It is a wonderfully written tale this is a quick and easy read. It is heartwarming and heartfelt with adorable characters.
I was so engrossed and drawn into their journey so much that before I knew it, I was turning the last page and at some stage hubby was calling for me and I didn’t hear him. He’ll get over it because it’s not the first time he has been ignored whilst I was reading.
The story was a little predictable, but it is still a fun story with some steam and lots of surprise twist and drama.
They come from different worlds but when a rich ex-SEAL falls for a waitress at the local café the chase begins even if she is not sure they are a good match.
Let’s not forget the adorable four-legged creature who worms their way into hearts as well.
Who doesn’t love a sweet story with fur babies and romance?
I am excited to read the rest of the series.

**This book contains adult content and the loss of a loved one. It is not suitable for all readers. **

Almost and Forever is a heartachingly beautiful tale. Tissues please……. This old saying holds true in this case – “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it’s yours. If not, it was never meant to be,”

It is a tale of love, loss, guilt, hope, want, need, anger, angst and forgiveness and so much more that it will have you smiling one moment and then crying the next all throughout.

The story flowed smoothly and with likeable but heartbreaking characters. I love that this book was written in both of the characters points of views, and I loved the care, the tenderness, and everything in between. There were times when I wanted to shake them and others when I wanted to wrap them in big hugs but as they say the road to happiness is not always straight.
When truths come to light it may just destroy everything.
He is all she has ever wanted but how can you compete will a ghost, when one’s heart is with another. Playing second fiddle is not a place she wants to be.
He is a mess, but she makes him want more only he is buried in his grief.
If you like a sweet romance with a few twists and turns, then give this author a go.

Elsa has been reading love stories for as long as she can remember and when she ‘met’ the classic authors like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Henry James The Brontë sisters, etc. during her Honors studies, she was hooked for life.

She married her college boyfriend and they are fortunate to live in the picturesque little seaside village of Betty’s Bay, South Africa.

She adores writing kissing books with strong, beautiful, feisty, independent and headstrong heroines and dashing Alpha heroes who loves fiercely and protects the ones they love. Her stories typically incorporate the family background of the characters to better understand where they come from and who they are when we meet them in the story.

Hope

Adam Emerson was meant for me, but unfortunately, his heart belonged to someone else.

At a pivotal point in my life, I decided to end my relationship to make room for something new. My change of heart couldn’t have come at a better time.

My future began the moment I met Adam. Our first encounter showed his kindness. He swept in on a wish and was whisked away just as fast. During our second encounter, I got a glimpse of his anger. But the third revealed all of him—a man who loves fiercely, even in the midst of grief.

Adam

While dealing with a heartbreaking loss, I visited a local cafe for a reprieve. I didn’t expect to run into Hope again or to intervene when some guy approached her. The timing couldn’t have been worse for my interference, but she looked like she needed a reprieve too. After spending minutes with her, I wanted days, and the days turned into weeks. Hope showered my grief with kindness and doused my anger with love. When I wanted to lose control, she wouldn’t let me. She gave me space but kept me close. But there was more to her than I realized.

When a shocking discovery is revealed, I’m left wondering if our connection is strong enough to sustain us. Or is it the very thing that will tear us apart?

Almost and Forever is a beautiful, heartwarming story of loss, love, and forgiveness!

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls Book 4) by Libby Kay – Review by Kirsten Berkebile

This  the fourth book in this series and it did not disappoint!! I couldn’t put it down and when I had to I couldn’t wait to pick it back up once I got home from work. This story is all about Alice and James. They are both artists but one creates paintings while the other one writes. Alice is wanting to get her parents and the town off her back about her settling down whereas she isn’t really wanting to settle down quite yet. James (the famous painter) moved to Buckeye Falls, Ohio to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York and try to find a new muse to help him with his painters block. From the moment they meet, you just know that there is love there, but do they realize it is really the question. I promise you that this book will make you laugh, cry and be all in your feels as you read all about James and Alice.
