I am totally hooked on this wonderful authors writing so much so that just seeing her name means I know it must read the book. I enjoyed the first book of this trilogy so much that I started reading this second book as soon as I finished the last page and OMG I am so glad that I did. Rachel & Miguel had me held captive right from the start and I just couldn’t get enough. You will Laugh, maybe even Cry and as always with this author, go through so many emotions during this sweet and quirky ( I think that’s the right word to use lol) read. I just can’t wait for more of this trilogy and from this amazingly talented Author!

When I first read the Trading Heartbeats trilogy, I thought to myself that I was definitely a fan of this fabulous Author But I have to say after reading this first book of the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy I am totally and completely hooked!! When I see her name from now I will know I need to read her books! It’s that simple. The wonderful characters she creates, the storylines she weaves and the emotions she draws from the page are simply not to be missed!! I was happy to see Tess back and getting her own story. This book was so many things it truly is hard to describe. Filled with so many emotion stirring elements, passion, love, tears and even humour this is a page turner because you have to know what’s happening next. Bring on book 2!!!!

This is an author that Ihave enjoyed listening to from the first audio book. I enjoyed how the narrator pulled me into the story using different tones for the characters. Edward and Lisette are great characters that I really enjoyed. They are strong characters that have great chemistry. This is an easy and entertaining story to listen to. I really enjoy this author and I highly recommend this audiobook.

NEW TO ME AUTHOR. Ashley Erin actually had me in tears at one point in this story. That is a feat that not many authors have managed (even though several have tried). This is a very heart touching story and will pull you in quickly and hold you there until you read the last page. I am excited to learn it is just the first book in a series of which I am sure there will be at least 3 books. This first though is quick paced but not so fast that you lose details or events. Yes the Masquerade Ball could have been in more detail but honestly it was perfect for me especially the events after (IFKYK). I loved the writing and the build up of the emotions between the characters. The Epilogue… WOW. LOVE IT!

I was beyond excited to read about the only girl in one of my favorite fictional families. Being the only girl and the youngest with four older brothers, Lynn is well protected. I loved the little snippets of her in the other series books and was thrilled that she got her own in the series. The dynamic of the entire Brooks family is wonderful in every book, and this is no exception to that. I enjoyed how Lynn shows her determination to make something of herself, while also enjoying her time as she goes. Lynn is serious about her goals while not being so serious that she doesn’t have some fun in the meantime. And if that fun also gets under her brothers’ skin a little bit then she is okay with that too. Joey is an interesting character and I found myself intrigued by his personality and the ways that he reacts to situations. Great book. I would recommend the entire series.

I LOVED this story. Adeline is trying to grieve the loss of her husband at such a young age. She decides to buy and renovate an old farm house in a small town as part of her moving on. When she arrives in this new town she’s greeted by so many kind people, she makes quick friends and finds comfort and support she needed. Among the people she meets is Owen, the local handyman. She ends up having to ask him for help with renovations on the house when she realizes she was in over her head. As Owen and her work together to restore her home, their feelings for each other grow. And Adeline has to decide if she is ready to let someone else in. But as her mom and friends say “love doesn’t have a timeline, it comes when you least expect it, and you shouldn’t ignore it”. This was such a sweet read that I could not put down. Very low spice level. I’m looking forward to reading the second book with Cameron and RaeLynn

By Your Side is Book 1 in the Willowbrook Lake series. I adored this book, I’ve always loved a good small town romance.
Adeline is working through the grief of losing her husband when she moves to Willowbrook Lake, hoping the change of scenery and a new project would help her work through things. Owen is a local handyman – Adeline ends up hiring him to help her. The more time the two spend together, the more they fall for each other.
This book was very well written. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

I hadn’t read anything by this author before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This is the first book in the Willowbrook Lake series, and it had me hooked from the very first chapter! It was quite emotional and had me tearing up a few times. If you’ve ever had your heart broken or experienced a devastating tragedy, this will probably tug at your heart as well. It’s a beautiful second chance romance that includes a grieving process. I always enjoy the dual points of view in books because it allows me to get a better understanding of each character. If you enjoy emotional contemporary romances, there’s a good chance you’ll find yourself lost in this book. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2) by Julie Navickas. This is the 2nd book in the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy and while you don’t have to read the 1st book to understand this one, I always recommend reading them in order to get a better understanding of the characters. This is Rachel and Miguel’s story. Rachel is a real estate agent who has never done well in the dating department. While getting stood up on a date Rachel is drinking her cares away and she meets Miguel who happens to own the restaurant. Miguel cooks her food and they talk and talk. Miguel is still recovering from a bad relationship so he’s not looking for love at all but when it happens you can’t stop it. Rachel is smitten with Miguel but she’s afraid he is still grieving his past relationship. Will they be able to have their happy ending. Read this sweet story to find out!

Having read The Story that Ties Us, I was looking forward to reading this book. This book was even better than the other and I was pulled into this story immediately. The characters were so relatable. Their connection was intense and emotional and yet there seemed to be so much standing in their way. I am desperately hoping they would find their way through it all. I loved the story the author had created. It really drew me in and was the kind of story that didn’t let go until I had finished the book. I was completely invested in what was going on and the characters journey. This is a brilliant book that I would highly recommend.

This book is an emotional second chance romance story about two characters who have to find a way to put the past behind them. From the moment these characters met again, it was obvious they had not left their feelings behind. Even with everything else between them, their connection was undeniable. With everything focused on the characters, the author created a great story around them. It was easy to read, engaging and lovely to watch the feelings between the characters develop. The whole way through the book I was hoping for their happy ending. This is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

An enjoyable and heartwarming contemporary romance which captivated me from the start. Adeline is a widow who was not looking for love when Owen came into her life. She hires her neighbour Owen as a contractor to help her renovate her house. Thinking him grumpy to begin with, she soon discovers that although he’s a man of few words, he’s the only one to make her grieving heart beat again. Owen knows of Adeline’s loss and thinks of her as a force of nature. He was only being neighbourly when he agreed to the renovations, but as the weeks fly by he finds himself falling for her. This is a sweet second chance at love story and the chemistry between Adeline and Owen really came across in the narrative. Set within a small town the main characters are likeable and relatable making it easy to feel invested in their love story.

I don’t know if this was the best one out of the series, but it was reeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllly close. I loved Lynn and Joey. Their banter was fun. Joey’s openness about his feelings was fantastic. I am super happy the family got Larry back. Jeremy was always a little too slimy for my tastes.
Lynn is the youngest Brooks sibling. She is strong, intelligent, independent, and hates the way her over-protective, overbearing brothers still treat her like a kid. When Lynn takes a job in concessions at the local major league baseball field, it is so that she can find a way to meet the physical therapy and athletic training squad. That is her passion, her drive, her goal. To be a physical therapist for a major league club.
Joey had a bad morning and entered through a different gate. He just happened to catch the scene where a fan had a heart attack. A startlingly beautiful woman jumped the counter at the concession stand and started performing CPR, saving the guy’s life. Joey fell almost instantly. Joey then encountered his mystery woman at a local brewpub. He made a mistake. When this mistake costs him his chance with Lynn, he tries to win her back but winds up making it worse.
One year later, Lynn is back from school and has an internship with the AT/PT department with the team. Now she just has to stay away from Joey. That doesn’t work. She and Joey are still attracted to each other. They try to be friends. When that doesn’t work because the chemistry is too strong, they try being together. Then there is some stuff about Larry (I don’t wanna spoil it).
This fabulous series has all the feels. Laughing, crying, angry at siblings, love for Mango and Ginny, heck, even Duke deserves some love, and the way the siblings try to take care of each other but fail at their overbearing efforts reminds me of my sisters. It is sweet and wonderful and amazing and fantastic and delightful and endearing and a bunch of other stuff. Lynn & Joey’s story was another in that line of adjectives. I hope this is not the last we hear from the Brooks siblings.

This was the first book I had read by this author, and I am completely blown away! I didn’t realize this was a series until I had already started reading it so I doubled down and finished it. I didn’t feel lost so it does well as a standalone, but the author does mention there are a few things that would be revealed in this book that may ruin the first 3 if you haven’t read them. I will totally be picking up the previous books now because I’m addicted! Lynn and Joey are freaking adorable and may just be my new favorite fiction friends. The witty banter alone is enough to keep me reading, but there is so much more! If you enjoy sports romance books with some funny moments thrown in and plenty of steam, look no further than this incredible story.

I’m sad I have to say bye to the Brooks family unless Mama is able to find someone. I have loved each and every one of these books and each of the Brooks family members.
When I was younger I had wished I had an older brother to protect me and introduce me to his hot friends. Well, now I’m glad that it didn’t work out that way because there is no way I would have been able to not hurt him if he was a quarter as smothering as Lynn’s four brothers.
Lynn is tougher than any of the boys expected and has finally had enough of those boys when she meets Joey who I absolutely adore. How can you go wrong when talking about baseball players?
Joey is the dream boyfriend. He’s nice, respectful and treats Lynn like she is gold. Though she doesn’t always see it that way.
There were some moments that made me laugh and may have shed a tear ot two. If this is the end of the series it was a great way to end it. I can always hope to see this crazy and amazing cast of characters again in the future.

I found this book to be a great summer rom com for me. I loved it so much and read it in a matter of hours. This is book 1 in a series and I look forward to reading more to continue learning about the other characters and their stories. Adeline goes from grief to starting fresh in a new town and wrestles with so many emotions along her journey. Owen is a great male character and provides a great balance to Adeline’s world. I appreciated the realness and rawness of her emotions, her feelings, her guilt…it made it so relatable to the reader. This is a great story about love and loss and trying to navigate the journey to being open to finding love again.

By Your Side (Willowbrook Lake Series) by Ashley Erin. This is such a sweet second chance love story. Its the story of Adeline whose husband Scott died in a tragic accident. When she picks Willowbrook Lake and decides to fix up a huge project house she thinks she may have gotten in over her head. Adeline is trying to make it up to Owen but she really isn’t too focused on him she is too busy grieving and fixing up this house. The more time they spend together the more she starts to have feelings for Owen even though he’s grumpy as all get out. She is conflicted with those feelings and isn’t sure what to do with them. Owen starts to like her as well but knows she is still grieving. Such a sweet second chance romance. I love the town of Willowbrook Lake and all its people!

Stout Of my League (Love on Tap Book 4) by Sylvie Stewart. This is the 4th and final book in the Love on Tap series and its so good! You don’t have to read them all in order to understand the stories but I always recommend it. Its the story of Lynn who has a plan for her future. She is going to go to college for sports medicine physical therapist and getting at job at Arrows stadium is going to help get her foot in the door. While at Arrows stadium she meets Joey the gorgeous short stop on the team and she is smitten. He is handsome and athletic and a jerk. Lynn is not a sports fan so she didn’t know who he was before getting this job. Joey is a really good athlete but he is a player. He is beginning to realize that Lynn was the one that got away because she thought he was a jerk. When he remembers she wanted to be a physical therapist for the team he puts a good word in for her. Will that win her back for him. If she finds out he helped her will she be mad and not want anything to do with him. These are such fun books and I love baseball so that added to the charm for me. Such a good series.

This was a most appropriately named series. Miguel and Rachel had instant chemistry, and the story lines surrounding both were so believable and so heartfelt. Every time something happened to threaten anything of a relationship that they were starting, you just cringed because you wanted them to push through. They just seemed to fit in each others lives perfectly. One of my favorite topics of the book is the restaurant and how that plays into their relationship. The book is a second in a series, and I felt like you could read this one independently, but there were a lot of pieces from the first that fit in, and I would have gone back to read immediately if I hadn’t before. The additional characters in the book make you want to be a part of the family, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

This heartwarming holiday romance is the final book in this wonderful series. I’ve enjoyed the previous books about the O’Connell family and this one was just as enjoyable and engaging. Set in the 1990’s we get to spend Christmas with the O’Connell’s! Having lost his faith in the Catholic Church and having left the priesthood, Edward O’Connell unexpectedly returns to Port Townsend for a family Thanksgiving dinner. Edward meets Lisette Manegold at Café Lisette, which she owns. As the couple get to know each other Edward’s family tell him the rumours that Lisette is a former call girl and a man-eater. However, Edward who is happy with his own fresh start is willing to overlook any dark secrets. Meanwhile Lisette can’t forgive herself and move on from the ghosts of her past. What Edward doesn’t know is that Lisette has buried her shocking past identity, which would horrify the wealthy and respectable O’Connells. I was kept happily turning the pages by this captivating romance. The characters and the setting came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative and I felt fully immersed in the story. The added festive feeling to the story would make this a great book to read both now and at Christmas time!

This is the 4th book in the Love On Tap Series. I would recommend reading these books in order as there are bits of information from the other 3 books in this one and that maybe spoilers if you haven’t read them in order. Once again we are transported in the small town romcom. There are so many elements at work to create such a wonderful story, there is family drama, forced proximity, a forbidden romance and 4 very over protective brothers. This is Lynn and Joey’s story.
Lynn and Joey have a chemistry that neither could deny, however with Joey holding back on the truth their romance is over before it begins. However fate has another plans and when Joey appears in Lynns life after that old spark reignites. But with 4 very protective brothers and other forces working against their relationship do they even stand a chance?
I loved Joey and Lynn. They were so well written and relatable. Lynn’s frustration at her over protective and intefereing brothers really made her real for me. This is a enjoyable read with moments that made me laugh.

This was such a sweet story about finding love again. I smiled while reading most of the story. The chemistry between Tess and Ryan jumped off of the page. Like all relationships their’s hit a bump in the road. Learning to trust again after having your heart broken is always tough. Definitely a great lesson in the novel.

This book was an emotional Rollercoaster that keeps you turning the page. Parker has emotional trauma from childhood that influences the choices he is making now. What a great first in the series! This is my first book by this author, and I am really impressed. I love how the author came up with the name of this book. Libby almost burned her house down the first day of being there by her toaster. The fire department shows up, and Zach, a fireman, gets her out of the house, and this is when it starts. The chemistry is definitely there, and Zach is in love from the beginning, but Libby has a lot of emotional baggage from her life with her mother and her many men. Libby doesn’t trust love and is totally scared of it. This book has just enough spice, but boy, could the author really spice this one up if she wanted to. I rate this book as a 4.7, but that’s not an option on this platform. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Can I say this book definitely gave me Nicholas Sparks vibes as I read it and I love that author so you know I devoured this lickity split lol and so will you. Also you might want to grab a tissue or two lol . By Your Side is the first book in the Willowbrook Lake series by Ashley Erin. This author has crafted a heartwarming tale between the main characters Adeline and Owen. The small-town charm this author has vividly built with well-developed characters that were weaved together perfectly. Through love, friendship, personal growth you’ll definitely love the journey this authors storytelling will take you on🥰 I know I did. I am looking forward to Raelynn and Cameron’s I can’t wait!

Stout of My League is the 4th book of the Love on Tap series. I have read 3 of the 4 now, and I really love them. Somehow I missed one, but plan to go back, because they are really good! I feel like this book was a little more steamy than the others, so mature readers only. This book focuses on Lynn Brooks (her 3 older brothers were each featured in the previous books in the series). Her brothers are over protective of her- she’s the youngest, the only girl, and their father passed away… its a given! However, she is bound and determined to be a strong independent woman, and proves to be so many times in this book. She has no intentions of dating an athlete, but working in a baseball stadium, she is bound to see one or two hotties… Fate may be in play, as Lynn and Joey cross paths several times, until they can no longer ignore it.

This was a touching story about Adeline and Owen. Adeline is grieving the loss of her husband and believes that moving to Willowbrook Lake and taking on a fixer-upper house will help her in that process. Turns out that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. Owen is the local (grumpy) handyman who is hired by Adeline to help her with the renovations. He understands the loss she has endured, and wants to be a good neighbor and help her out. As the two spend more time together, a friendship grows. Over time, feelings get stronger. But, can you have more than one true love in your lifetime? Is Adeline willing to put her heart out there and find out?
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was a story of love and loss…. and grieving and healing. I loved watching Adeline and Owen navigate through their feelings as the book progressed. The secondary characters in the story were quite enjoyable…and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book is the first book in a new series and it a well written an emotional, second chance romance story. The connection between the two main characters develops nicely as the book does. Even though there was history to get past, they were clearly well suited and good for each other. The story is great to read. It well developed and has a nice pace to it. I found myself been taken long with the story and I really became invested in what was happening. This is a great start to a new series and I am looking forward to book 2!
