My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this story. The author has a way of writing that leaves you feeling the emotions of the story. The writing was strong and very well-done for the age it was targeted at. I’m an old woman but I really enjoy reading this author’s stories because they remind me of the young adult books that used to come out when I was younger. You felt the story. The characters were exciting and intriguing. Overall, this is a terrific story for the YA/NA group. I’m going to read the sequel to it.

The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler – Review by Beverly Finnie

The Closer: An enemies to lovers dark romance (The Hustlers Series Book 3)The Closer: An enemies to lovers dark romance by Rowan Rossler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s a story that keeps you saying, “just one more page.” The Closer gives you tension, drama, love, romance, loneliness, and so much more. The author sucks you in hook line and sinker. A book that’s part of a series but could very well be read as a standalone novel. And one I struggled to put down.
June needs money, and the only person who may be willing to help her out is a man she loathes. He not only accused her but ran her into the mud after one of his investments failed, so how can she trust him? But she’s desperate, and she never would’ve gone to Dallas otherwise. Unfortunately he’s also the one who got away and even after 10 years those feelings are still bubbling at the surface. One drunken/trippy night and a trip to Argentina later she really starts to wonder what she got herself into.
Dallas has a chance to make things right, however he’s not going to just bend to her demands. He wouldn’t be good at what he did otherwise. Yet one night she spoke his language when she challenged him to the best of 3 games of pool with a potential deal on the line. One problem: how is he going to fund it? He’s known to have made some shady dealings. Will this be any different? He can’t resist helping her, he’s wanted her for the last 10 years and is an idiot that he lost her. Unfortunately Navarro is standing in their way.
Will Navarro disrupt the reconciliation?
Is Dallas able to find the capital to invest in June’s business after the former CEO wrongs her?
So much going on! So many questions come to mind. Which leads back to my previous remark of not wanting to put the book down. You don’t want to wait for the answers. I know I sure didn’t.

The Closer: An enemies to lovers dark romance (The Hustlers Series Book 3)The Closer: An enemies to lovers dark romance by Rowan Rossler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is very much a tale of two halves. The book started in a way that gave a very definite idea as to how things would play out. I settled in for one book and then the author completely changed the direction it was heading in. It was unexpected and made me enjoy it even more.
Enemies-to-lovers books are some of my favourites and I can definitely say this was a good one. It was engaging and really caught my attention. The character development was fantastic to read and I very much enjoyed getting to know them. This was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Make Me Burn (North Fork Series Book 9)Make Me Burn by Alicia Street
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Make Me Burn (North Fork Series) by Alicia Street. I loved this book and it can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Logan who didn’t really have a family growing up so Victor a friend of Logan’s took him in and his family became Victor’s family. Victor has a little sister named Jinx and Jinx fell in love with Logan but knew there was no future because he was best friends with her brother. Logan and Victor have a falling out and Logan leaves without a goodbye leaving Jinx broken hearted. When she runs into Logan years later and they share a night together they realize the feelings are still there but with the feud still ongoing how will they make it work. This is such a good contemporary romance. Read to find out if Jinx can fix the rift between Logan and her family or even find out what it was about.

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an amazing series. Let start off by saying that I am a sucker for box sets. I love being able to go from book to book without a break or even having to search for them. This story has an amazingly well described setting that you can visualize yourself there. That is just the tip of the iceberg. The characters in this series makes you want to be their friends and to hang out with them on weekends. You will find yourself absorbed into their relationship with each other and the other characters. I even found myself trying to figure to who out of my friends is like the characters in the book. The love stories in each book are endearing in their own unique ways. Each book revolves around different couples but the characters are intertwined that you feel as if you’re reading one incredibly long book. This was a quick read even though it was multiple books. I found myself being drawn from one couple to next while seeing snipers of the other characters. I highly suggest reading this series if you love romance, amazing couples, wonderful meet cutes, and incredibly deep connections. I will find myself back in this series to enjoy these characters in the future because it is just that good, that re-reading it is must.

Ten years ago, I met the man of my dreams. A stupidly gorgeous and wildly talented venture capitalist named Dallas Evener. I was the fiery yin to his dominant yang. He set my entrepreneurial heart aflame. Our destiny was clear as day … and then he had to go and ruin it.
I swore never to do business with him.
A decade later, I’m eating my words.
A scandal rocks my startup passion project and I’m left in a lurch when the lead investor backs out. My only hope for money? Dallas. But that means I play by his rules. And the whispers around town imply he funds his projects with dirty money.
Is that why we fly to Argentina to close the deal with a mysterious financier? Dallas promises this is a no-brainer, although nothing comes risk-free. I’ll take a chance with my company. The question is, do I put my heart on the line again when our simmering chemistry reignites? Because there is more to this transaction than meets the eye. And everything I thought I knew about Dallas and love tangles into a compromising position neither of us expects.

My goals are simple. To make the world a better place one love story at a time!

Q: What can you expect from my books?

A:  Where heat meets heart!

Every writer sprinkles their brand of DNA magic into stories and my ingredients are glamorous destinations, brilliant, sexy minds, and juicy plots with just the right amount of spice stirred in to kick things up a notch.

I also love messy characters. Ones who struggle, but never give up. My women are strong-willed and successful, but never infallible when it comes to matters of the heart. My men are maddeningly imperfect and sexy AF.

If you like all of the above, it might be love at first page read!

The Hustlers is my first series, an interconnected trilogy that can be read as stand-alone. You’ll meet three alluring BFF’s navigating dreams, desires, and all the beautiful complications of falling in love.

Set against the backdrop of sultry jet-set lifestyles, if you crave vivid characters, adventurous plots and sensual moments, these mid-steam romps are the perfect escape!

The Changed Man Audio Book (The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 4) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Toni Sellers

The Changed Man Book 4 in The Olympic Peninsula series.
Well, I was so excited to see that there was a book four and hope for more. I have loved each and every book in this series and yes, I do think you could read this as a standalone, but why? You will love them all. I have enjoyed the details that the author has put into this book as for the fact that I LIVE in Port Townsend and have for my whole life, so these seem to have a special connection for me. Very well written contemporary romance and all the characters are in some way intertwined, another reason you should read them all. The characters are interesting and fun to get to know them all. The family dynamics can be very relatable. Lots of emotion, drama, love, family, angst, and friends all fast paced enough to keep you engaged and wanting more.
I can’t recommend this book and the others in this series enough.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a quick but very good read. Logan was Jinx’s brother’s best friend. There is a big fallout between the two men which also meant that Jinx wouldn’t be part of his life anymore. Jinx had a crush on Logan for as long as she can remember and as she grew older it turned into more than a crush. It’s been a few years since Jinx and Logan have seen each other, then they see each other at a wedding. Logan has always had feelings for Jinx but could never act on it because of his relationship with her brother. Will they be able to get over the past so they can act on their feelings? This story has romance, drama, twists and turns, great characters and more. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great series that will keep you up reading to see what comes next. Love that it’s now a box set since you get all 4 books at once.

Echoing Hearts introduces us to Amy and Dean who at first seem to not get along but soon find themselves unable to let each other go.

His Forever Muse is about Brandon and Callie and a childhood crush they had for each other. Connecting again as adults brings some drama that shows how strong a character Callie is.

Unexpected Entanglement introduces us to Rowan and Chris. Rowan is a hard working woman trying to restore her family’s Inn. This was my favorite story of the series.

Dangerous Rhythm brings Curtis and Lina together. Curtis witnesses a crime and find himself in trouble. Lina is brought in to keep Curtis safe. They soon find that getting out of New York isn’t enough and flee around the world.

The Complete Echo Series : A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series)

Echoing Hearts (The Echo Series Book 1)

I think I’m in love. Dean and Rae spoke to me, especially Rae. I felt every ounce of her pain as I read about her family and how her friends became the family she needed and deserved.

Where Rae’s young life was difficult, Dean’s was pretty ideal and reminded me of my husband’s family. Parents were present and an important part of the kids life. But he too has been hurt.

His Forever Muse (The Echo Series Book 2)

I had absolutely no doubt I was going to love this book as soon as I finished the first book. Brandon was a mystery to me and I wanted, no needed, the answers to my questions.

Callie has so much strength even if she didn’t realize it. She was able to escape a Mother who was never satisfied and constantly overbearing and start a life of her own in college and then in Paris.

Unexpected Entanglement (The Echo Series Book 3)

I’m having a hard time coming up with the words to adequately describe my feelings on this book aside from I loved it.

Rowan and Chris worked so well together and the sparks between them flew almost instantly and it only got hotter as they spent more time together.

Once again there is some suspense with all of the weird stuff happening, some laugh out loud moments especially when Alex was around and then there were some incredibly hot moments like the massage…..

Dangerous Rhythm: A Reverse Protector Romance (The Echo Series Book 4)

This book has no casual build up the excitement starts at the beginning of chapter one and doesn’t end until the book does.

Curtis and Lina were just perfect for one another and glad they finally figured it out. I wish their story could have been a little less dangerous but then again I really wouldn’t have changed anything.

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #5)Fearless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this story. It was a quick read for me, which is a great pulling point for me because I’m usually a slow reader. It took me about a day and a half, in between life and kid stuff. It was a little bit cheesy but also cute. Loved the characters, easy to fall in love with them. Good banter. Spice wasn’t too much either, about 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 and only a couple scenes. Loved how James was so quickly and easily attracted to Sara and her son, and took them under his wing immediately. Going out of his way to make both of them happy. Love the found family trope as well. Will definitely be reading some of the others in this series to get all the siblings stories as well

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series) by C.R. Alam – Review by Brandy Rymer

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

C.R. Alam is one of my all-time favorite romance writers I have ever come across, her books are so entertaining and will have you excited to pick up the next book as soon as you can. She is a master at her trade with words, and drawing a picture you can see in your mind as you follow along with each new character’s tale of romance.

Echoing Hearts:
This book was absolutely one of the best romance novels I have ever read! The development of the characters was amazing, I felt like I was watching a movie as the storyline played out, it was so real. Right from the beginning when we step into the life of Dean Rowland, an extravagantly rich gentleman about to say “I do” to the mysterious Leighton, I feel that he had to be our main character. Then the transition into the life of Rae Allen, the wandering free spirit of a woman, hanging out with her rock band friends and reading an article about Dean Rowland’s runaway bride. I knew right there that at some point this would be our leading lady, but boy I had no clue what kind of a rollercoaster ride we would be on with these two. I could not put his book down from the second that I picked it up, I’m a romantic and I wanted to see Dean and Ray find their happier ever after, whether it be with them, or with Leighton and Brandon, the illustrious rock star who believed everyone deserved their soul mates.

His Forever Muse:
C. R. Alam’s book His Forever Muse, The Echo Series Book #2 continues the story of Brandon and unfolds the mystery behind the one that stole his heart, which was hinted at in Book #1. I love that this book opens with Rae and Dean having their first child Maya and the fact that Brandon got to be there with Rae when she needed him most. Watching their happiness, Brandon is reminded that something is missing in his life, and this leads him to travel around the world searching for what he is missing. What a coincidence that he runs into Callie (Curtis’s big sister, whom Brandon hasn’t seen in 15 years) while he is visiting Chris at his resort in Morrocco. Will Brandon be able to reconnect with his long-lost love, or will her haunted past pull her away from her past love? What is she hiding from Brandon, and her family, that caused her to go quiet for all these years? If you are a fan of The Echo Series, this is a must-read that jumps right in with the drama, the romance, and the amazingly developed characters that we have grown to know and love as well as some new ones that we get to meet.

Unexpected Entanglement:
C. R. Alam has done it once again! True to her nature she has written another steamy, romance novel that follows in The Echo Series. Not only was I excitedly awaiting this newest tale in the series to come out I was so ecstatic to find out it was finally going to find a love interest for the fun-loving Chris Sullens, hotel mogul extraordinaire. I have loved his character since he was introduced in the first Echo Series book when he helped to bring our original love birds together. You will love the fire that burns between Chris Sullens and Rowan Kelly as they fight their obvious attraction to one another and try not to make a bigger mess out of Rowan’s crumbling inn. Of course, when Rowan has Christ step in to play the role of her loving fiancé will the fireworks go off, or will the two kill each other first? Read on to see what ensues…

Dangerous Rhythm:
This story was absolutely amazing, I loved the twist involving the mob in this book. It made it so exciting to read, plus what a great way to get to meet new characters. Meeting Curtis and Lina’s families and seeing their family traditions was a genius move to help bring these two characters together even more. I loved the descriptions of the different countries that this book takes place in, it was so beautiful to feel a part of the New Year celebration, and oh my all the food descriptions made my mouth water! The Echo Series has been one of my favorite series to read in 2023, I cannot wait to read the next series that C. R. Alam. She has an amazing talent for writing books that draw you into the storyline and keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book to continue delving into the characters’ lives. You just get so invested in each of the characters’ stories, but the author continues to build upon the past character’s lives, allowing you to continue to learn about their continuing celebrations in their happily ever after. I look forward to the new series coming out in 2024!

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series) by C.R. Alam – Review by La Toya Lewis

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Echoing Hearts is the first book in The Echo Series by C. R. Alam. Rae Allen is a woman who has vowed never to fall in love after watching her mother deteriorate after having her heart broken. Dean Rowland has sworn off women after being left at the altar by his fiancee. When the two inevitably meet, sparks fly. This was a very well-written story. The characters are real and relatable. The chemistry between Rae and Dean is amazing. I enjoyed watching them build and navigate their relationship. I highly recommend this book.

His Forever Muse is book two of The Echo Series by C. R. Alam. Brandon and Calliope have known each other since they were young and reconnected after many years. Calliope is trying to rebuild her life but her past keeps coming back to haunt her. I enjoyed the story of Brandon and Calliope. I loved Brandon as Rae’s best friend from Book 1. He and Calliope are awesome together. Their chemistry is nice and steamy. They are really enjoyable together. Once again the characters are relatable and well-written. The plot is well-paced and keeps you hooked. Another great book.

This is another sizzling romance story! Unexpected Entanglement is the third book in The Echo Series by C. R. Alam. Chris Sullens and Rowen Kelly are a really fun and steamy couple. Chris is a handsome and wealthy hotelier who finds himself entangled in a fake romance with sassy, beautiful Rowena who now runs the family inn. These two were so great together. I loved the witty banter and the passion between these two. Another plot that has you on the edge of your seat. Although I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series, this one was my favorite!

Dangerous Rhythm by C. R. Alam is a romance with a reverse protector angle. Lina Cheung has to protect Curtis Bissett from someone who wants him dead. The only problem is that Curtis is someone that she cannot get past. They have a history and now she has to try to put that aside to keep him safe. I am an old-fashioned girl but I enjoyed this story’s reverse roles. I enjoyed how both characters are written. The plot is not new but refreshing in the way it is presented. This is an invigorating and entertaining read.

Well Welcome Jake, brother to the groom. Jake had been outside the family for a long time. Will his brothers accept him back into the family? If you have been following this series, you know this will be a challenge for all involved. But Jake is not about to give up nor will his family let him go. Then when romance fills the air this story takes on a whole new journey. I recommend you step back and get to know these amazing characters. By starting with book 1. This author has once again brought forth an amazing add on to this series. This is a great story to listen to. It is a fast paced and emotional story and I loved every minute! I am looking forward to seeing where this author takes us next.

Echoing Hearts – Book 1
5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wonderful second chance slow burn romance as this is a new author to me and I am looking foward to more!!

Rae Allen and Dean Rowland meet by chance, as Rae is working on a article for a Homes magazine all about Dean’s beautiful home in they eyes of Dean’s sister Kat. There is some tension at first, Dean is a bit stand offish and rude, Rae is all about business as she is a known blogger and journalist with her many adventures all across the globe. Sparks fly between Rae and Dean and months later, Dean is trying to persuade Rae to more….getting to know each other..Dean’s totally intrigued by Rae as she is no holds bar like the other women in Dean’s past. What needs to happen is also letting the past go in order for Rae and Dean to move forward. Will the past come back and haunt Dean before he can move on and fall in love?

Betrayal, love, banter, jealousy and mistrust play into this story and it was hard to put down. I loved Dean and Rae as they try and navigate their feelings while trying not to get their heart broken as well.

His Forever Muse – Book 2
5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow! Fantastic Read. At first, I was not sure how I felt about Brandon from Book 1 then continuing to his story in Book 2..but I can say now that after reading this story…. I love his character so much.

This story is of Brandon and Callie….they knew each other since childhood always together with Callie’s brother, Curtis. Growing up, things get complex…..Callie’s parents are hard on her always expecting the best, Brandon always there to support Callie when she needs him the most. Time separates Callie and Brandon…but many years later they reconnect in Morocco.

Brandon is in a successful band, but also loves being artist and drawing in his heart. Callie works for an Art Gallery strives to work hard to prove she is not weak. Callie has gone down from the ashes of being beaten down verbally, emotionally, mentally and physically by a powerful man to rise up and being a strong, independent woman. Callie shares her story to Brandon……all Brandon wants to do is be there for her. Will Callie’s powerful ex get between Callie and Brandon?

This story is fantastic…romance, danger, family, intrigue and some twists I did not see coming and second chances.

Unexpected Entanglement – Book 3
5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I would have to say this while I loved all the books this would be my favorite story. I loved Chris and Rowan. Spark, sizzle, fake relationship with banter, secrets, suspicion, drama, unexplained “accidents” and healing.

Chris Sullens, planned a vacation spot in Vinalhaven and a bit away from work as a successful hotel owner…but upon coming onto the island, he meets a fiery, Rowan Kelley. Chris’ plans also including to help out Rowan and her brother Kieran with their Inn, especially coming from experience….but this help at first comes with much questions and push-back.

Rowan wants to prove she can run her family owned Inn successfully…she is so determined. Things change unexpectedly with a loss, but it does not deter Rowan to fulfilling her family legacy and keep the Inn going. When Chris Sullens shows up to help, with at first hesitation, she ends up learning so much more. Rowan is determined more than ever to have the best wedding for her friend at the Inn…but when strange things start happening at the Inn…..will Rowan be able to have the wedding that she planned for her cousin be successful while working with Chris as they also navigate their feelings?

This is such a fantastic read, I highly recommend! This story gave me all the feels as I devoured each page.

Dangerous Rhythm – Book 4
5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved every page of Lina and Curtis’ story. The romance, suspense, on the run danger with a few twists and turns made this book hard to put down….and I really loved the reverse in roles as Curtis is a rock star and Lina is a hired bodyguard.

Curtis Bisset is lead guitar player for the band Canis Major…..out on the town for a night just to get away, Curtis does not expect to be witness to a deadly crime. This causes imminent danger to his family and also to himself….someone wants him to pay. Lina Cheung works for private security team and was tasked to keep Curtis safe at all costs. When threats to Curtis and his family run high… this take them on a multi country journey to stay ahead of the threat. Will Lina be able to keep Curtis safe or will blood be shed…..

Definitely read and find out. This story was fast paced and really took me on a journey.

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, Book 5) by KG Fletcher – Review by Angela Shirley

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #5)Fearless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

James Bennett is ready for the next stage of his life, all ready to propose to Samantha but when a bombshell hits he is completely devastated. Picking himself back up he decides to concentrate on his Dad and the farm but in walks Sara and her son and all bets are off.

Sara is a traveling nurse, she enjoys the different locations and moving around. As her son is growing older its harder to keep moving as he makes friends along the way, although she has her secrets caring for Roy Bennett is one of the best jobs she has had but failing for James Bennett was not on the cards.

Can James convince her to stay?

I love this series although I thought Becky and Glen’s book was my favourite it has been trumped by this one. James has always been the silent hero in the background and then you thought he found his forever with Samantha you always will him a happy ever after.

All the stories have a running theme of the family and the farm but each can be read as stand alone books, although I recommend reading them all as they are brilliant. This story was just a lovely enjoyable read, as I said before James has always been the silent hero in the family to me and seeing his interactions with Noah, Sara’s son were just lovely to read.

Sara although was strong had a vulnerable side which came out and James’s character treated her with understanding and love. I love the whole Bennett squad and you just want to be a part of the family every time I read this great series.

I hope there is more books in this series following them as catch ups in there lives, don’t stripe me of the Bennetts please.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Echoing Hearts

Rae is a travel blogger who track her travels on her social media, and occasionally freelances for her former employer, a travel magazine. Doing one of her freelance articles is what brings her to a home in Georgia where she meets a man who seems surly and unhappy with her presence. She assumes he is the husband of the owner of the home, who doesn’t appear to be present. When she realizes that Dean is actually the owner of the home…and not his sister, who was the architect of the home, she is forced to spend a weekend mostly alone with him in order to finish her article. The two initially mix like oil and water, but manage to survive their weekend together, and then don’t see each other for several months after. When they connect again in New York City, where they are both living, sparks fly, until Dean becomes jealous of Rae’s relationship with her best friend, Brandon, and has to figure out how to fix things, if he even can. This book is a great opening to this series, with amazing characters that you want to see find their happily-ever-after. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but once you fall into this world, I doubt you will want to leave it!

His Forever Muse

First, let me say, while Calliope, or Callie as she’s most often called, is one of the strongest heroines I’ve read about, there are multiple conversations in this book that may be triggering for some people, as Callie has had the unfortunate experience of being in a relationship with an abusive, controlling, and manipulative person who is aided and abetted by his family along the way. While the book does NOT go into graphic detail or show most of the incidents, these conversations can still be triggering for some people, so please, PLEASE take your own mental health into consideration before reading this book. That being said, this book was well worth the read. Callie Chen-Bisset goes through a lot, both within the confines of a romantic relationship, but also with her own family before that, and comes out stronger on the other side. She is abused mentally and physically, and comes out wanting to help others who have also been victimized by not just the same person, but others as well. Her main goal in that is to protect her daughter from the father who only wants her to try and gain the upper hand on controlling Callie. In the middle of all of this, she rediscovers a lost love from her youth unexpectedly. Brandon Rossi, was friends with Callie and her brother Curtis when they were all kids and teenagers until Curtis interferes due to his own jealousy, causing Brandon and Callie to not speak for fifteen years. When they meet again while Brandon is on a trip to try and find himself, and Callie is working with a client for her art business, they instantly feel the old attraction return. Brandon travels next to Paris where Callie lives and they begin a relationship while also trying to fight for custody of Callie’s daughter Eleanor, to protect her from her abusive father who only wants her to try and get Callie back so he can control her once again.

Unexpected Entanglement

This is another excellent addition to this series, that can be read as a stand alone, but I doubt that you will want to once you get started. When Rowan and her brother Kieran lose their father and learn of a half-sister all at the same time, they are not sure what to think or do. Rowan and her father were working on restoring their family inn, located in Vinalhaven, Maine, to its former glory, when her dad unexpectedly has a heart attack and passes away, leaving Rowan with a final message to find her sister, Rae. As Rowan and Kieran try to finish the work they had already started on the inn, as well as the farm attached to the inn, they try to find Rae, as the three siblings have been given the property to run together, and they all three have to be a part of it. Rae, however, is unable or unwilling to just suddenly become a part of what is going on, so her friend Chris decides to go check things out for her first. Rae is a well known travel blogger and her husband is part of a popular band, and they are worried that the siblings only want to find them for their investment abilities. Chris Sullens shows up without warning, but does explain to the siblings why he is there. Chris’ family owns a large, well known hotel chain, and Chris, himself, owns and runs a smaller hotel chain of destination based hotels. Chris is able to help Rowan to formulate more ideas of how to help her family’s inn come back, while getting it back up and running for a family wedding. When the pair unexpectedly find themselves to be fake engaged, in an effort to ward of unwanted advances of a suitor for Rowan and unwanted criticism from town elders who think they have the right to run the island and view it as theirs to control, the pair discover that they are good together – in more ways than one.

Dangerous Rhythm

When Curtis sees a murder outside of a nightclub, and calls 911, he is drug into a world of gangs and freud’s he can’t possibly see coming. The victim and the assailant are parts of rival gangs, and when the murderer is killed in prison, Curtis suddenly finds himself on the wrong end of a grieving mother with a vendetta. Lina is a former service member who is now a partner in a private security firm, and has been tasked with keeping Curtis and his fellow Canis Major band mates safe from crazed fans and non-fans alike. This time, Lina is tasked with keeping Curtis safe from this new threat. While moving around and trying to stay safe, Lina and Curtis realize that there is something far more between them. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but once you start with this group of friends, I doubt you will want to leave them.

Hidden Mischief (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn – Review by Charlene Pryke

Hidden Mischief (Shattered Embrace #1)Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn is Book 1 in the Shattered Embrace series and the first (but not last) novel that Ihave read by this author.

Hidden Mischief is the story of Ashton and Zachary. Ashton is very successful in her working life but very shy in her private life with hidden submissive tendencies. Zachary owns Shattered Embrace which is a sex club,he interviews Ashton with the aim to train her and approve her club membership but is captivated by Ashton and claims her as “his exclusive submissive”. This book ends suddenly so I am looking forward to Book 2 to continue with their story…

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series Books #1 -4) by C.R. Alam – Review by Angela Hayes

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4 – 4.5 Stars

The Complete Echo Series Boxset by C.R. Alam contains the complete Echo series in one fantastic collection- allowing for a great bingeworthy reading session.
The Boxset contains:

Echoing Hearts (Book #1)
3.5 Stars

Echoing Hearts is the first book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This was the first book that I have read by this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But the Title and cover intrigued me, as did the promise of a bit of an angsty read- so, I snapped up a copy and dove right in.
And I am so glad I did as I discovered an interesting contemporary romance with an enemies to lovers/love triangle element, with plenty of drama, angst, emotion, chemistry, family, friendship, jealousy, doubt, and finding love unexpectedly. The enemies to lovers/love triangle element definitely added an extra element of interest to the story.
I did enjoy the story for the most part. It was a little slow to get going and did lag a little in places, but the chemistry between the characters, and emotion of the story, kept me turning the pages.

His Forever Muse (Book #2)
4.5 Stars

His Forever Muse is the second book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This is a captivating second-chance contemporary romance- a friends to lovers rockstar romance with a best friend’s sister element threaded through.
Brandon is the front man for rock band ‘Canis Major’. His whole life revolves around his creativity and artistic expression- music, art, and tattoos. So when he loses his inspiration and his creativity begins to suffer, Brandon’s quest is to find something, well anything really, that will reignite his creative passion. This is where he encounters a blast from the past, in the form of Calliope Chen-Bisset…. will she become “His Forever Muse”? This is well worth the read to find out….
There’s plenty of emotion, chemistry, friendship, and overcoming past pain to take a chance on love.

Unexpected Entanglements (Book #3)
4 Stars

Unexpected Entanglements is the third book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This is another contemporary romance with a fake relationship element, an unexpected entanglement, chemistry, sizzle, emotion, angst, love, loss, grief, a little drama, danger, finding love unexpectedly, fate, banter, and more.
Chris Sullens is about to have his world turned upside down when he not only finds himself offering to help plan a wedding out of the blue, he also can’t deny the connection that simmers between the stunning innkeeper/wedding planner and himself. But things take a very interesting turn when he then agrees to play her (fake) fiancé. So, get set as the sparks fly, chemistry sizzles, and things start to go awry. What happens definitely makes for an engrossing read.

Dangerous Rhythm (Book #4)
4.5 Stars

Dangerous Rhythm is the fourth book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. I have really been enjoying this series, each book capturing my attention as the series just seems to be getting better and better with each new instalment. And this one is definitely my favourite of the series, so far.
This story had me invested right from the get-go. Who doesn’t love a Rockstar/bodyguard romance. Well, this takes that and gives it a twist- as he’s the rockstar and she’s the bodyguard. Yeah, that got my attention too. When he witnesses a crime that puts him in the crosshairs of a psycho mob boss, thing take a dangerous turn. Her job is to make sure he stays safe. But as they are forced to flee, things heat up in more ways than one. What happens you may wonder. Well, this is definitely worth the read to find out.

As you can see there’s plenty here to keep you engrossed. Each book in the series focuses on its own ‘couple’, so they can be read as standalones if you wanted. But the stories have all, so far, revolved around the band, Canis Major, and/or their friends and family- in some way…… which gives plenty of captivating content to keep you flipping the pages, as well as providing additional details and storylines- which help to build depth, as well as paint a bigger picture’…… so this Box Set is the perfect way to indulge. Four books for the price of one. #winning
If you love romance, rockstars, family, friendship, emotion, struggles, angst, some danger, intrigue, and plenty of sizzle- then this is definitely the series for you.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, C.R. Alam!

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series) by C.R. Alam – Review by Audrie Harrington

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I started this series before all the books were out so I was excited to see the 4 book box! This is a series where each book is a different set of characters but all of their stories tie together so you see many of them throughout each of the books. Book one is an enemies to lovers story that follows Rae and Dean. Rae is a travel writer and Dean is a successful businessman. He was left at the altar and she doesn’t really believe in a happily ever after. They fight, then they talk, then they get to know each other. It was a fun story! The second book follows Brandon and Callie. Brandon is Rae’s best friend and the leader of a rock band. Callie has been on his mind since they were kids and when they run into each other in Morocco he wonders if maybe he didn’t miss out on the love that he wants. Book three follows Rowan and Chris. Rowan is in charge of throwing an amazing wedding for her cousin and Chris is a famous hotelier who is hiding out a bit on a small island. She doesn’t want his help but he keeps pushing himself in and keeps trying to help. When some strange things start to happen they decide to work together to get the wedding done and start fake dating, which he hopes will turn into something more real. The last book in this series follows Curtis and Lina. Curtis is in the same band as Brandon and Lina has been a type of bodyguard for the band when they go on tour. Curtis becomes a witness in a murder and the mob is after him. Lina and the security team she works with step in to help and protect him. Curtis and Lena both have been changed as they work through emotions and past baggage throughout the story while running and evading and keeping each other safe. I truly enjoyed every book in this series and just read there is a spinoff from the farm that I can’t wait to come out soon!

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #5)Fearless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fearless Love is the 5th and final book in the Bennetts of Langston Falls series and what a wonderful and bittersweet ending. While I am sad that this series is completed, I am excited to see what this author has in store in future! Feeling like I am part of the wonderful Bennett Family, being part of a beautiful family that is full of love, loss, second chances and new beginnings.

James and Sara’s story is beautiful. Meeting on a chance encounter…..Sara is a single mother, raising her son on her own and a travel nurse. When Sara takes a job in Langston Falls she never expected to be enveloped no only being a nurse but into a family that accepts her. James was not looking for love after getting his heart broken and shattered, but when he meets his dads home nurse, Sara, instant chemistry hits. When secrets are revealed will James and Sara be able to overcome any obstacle that comes their way to find the love they both long for?

I loved this entire series and I highly suggest reading this series in order from the beginning. This is truly one of my favorite series ever.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve read other books by this author, so I didn’t hesitate to pick this one up. I didn’t realize it would become my favorite one so far! If you haven’t read any of the series yet, make sure you go back to get the full picture as this one picks up right where we left off. I’m sad to see this series end but cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us next! The chemistry between Sara and James is evident as it jumps off the pages throughout the entire story. I love the small-town feel along with all of the emotions this great romance provokes! If you’re looking for a happy ever after with a dreamy gentleman and his not so easy history, this one is no doubt your next read!

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #5)Fearless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

K.G. Fletcher has written another wonderful book. Fearless Love being my second book by this author I can confidently say that I adore her stories. This is book number five in The Bennetts of Langston Falls and my first foray into this series but I’m going to be back tracking and reading the rest of this series. All of the novels in this series can be read as stand alone stories but I’m still interested into what has happened to the other Bennet Siblings. Fearless Love follows James and Sarah, who is a single mom to Noah. Now I’ve never really read this type of romance as I usually go for the darker, harder romances, or rom-coms, but this was a feel good, small town, second chance at romance story and I was here for it. So well written and a wonderful read.

Fearless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #5)Fearless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ve been a fan of KG Fletcher’s writing in the past but hadn’t read any of the Bennetts from Langston Falls series until I picked up Fearless Love. I really enjoyed this book a lot, even without reading previous books in this stand alone series. I was really drawn to the storyline knowing that Sara was a nurse (so am I) and how can you not root for a single mom
to find happiness? I loved how the story was told by both James and Sara’s perspectives and enjoyed the dialogue throughout. I was really hooked after Noah and James met and Sara pulled the protective momma card at first. The story flowed really well and the “supporting” characters were just as lovable as the main, even if it was my first time “meeting” them. I will definitely go back and read this series from
book one!
