CORPORATE CHRISTMAS by BERNADETTE MARIE – Review by Kerry Baker

Corporate ChristmasCorporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Corporate Christmas by Bernadette Marie is a fun holiday romance with some great characters. This is quite a quick read so perfect for that lazy afternoon in the holidays when you can put your feet up and spend a few hours reading.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved how relatable and engaging the characters were. They felt like fun to read about while also having a depth to them that I hadn’t expected. They worked really well together and had a believable chemistry that worked with the story.
The overall story was fun and for the most part lighthearted. It was exactly what I want from a holiday romance. The writing was well paced but not too heavy and the made for an interesting story.
This is a great book and a new author to look out for in the future.

The Nearness of You: A British celebrity, standalone love-at-first-sight romance by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Nearness of YouThe Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher is a wonderful contemporary romance story. There is one thing that KG knows and that is how to write romance that is easy to lose yourself in and become invested in it. This story is my favourite to date. The story was beautifully written and very emotive. A chance meeting between a lounge singer and a supermodel, Lauren and David begins one of the best love stories. But the road to love is not always smooth especially when there are others who think they are worthy of that love and make life a misery.

Second Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson – Review by Faith Jackson

Second Chance eX-masSecond Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Alright, if you go down my profile on almost all of my reading pages, you’re likely to see plenty of these “second chance” stories and books. I’m a diehard fan for these. What I enjoyed about reading this one, in particular, was it reminded me of my favorite TV shows, “Boy Meets World,” because just when you thought Corey and Topanga had it figured out, there were obstacles outside their control from Shawn, to Lauren and Topanga’s parents divorcing.
The same is true for this story as it develops but keeps getting better from the hopes you believe this couple has. Except when they lose it, it leaves you just as heartbroken as Ally is over Asher. This is a powerful story of love lost, love found & reunited, Christmas fun, romance and family fun times. Beautiful, loving and story that will knock your socks off!

Irresistible Christmas – Pets to the Rescue (Irresistible Romance Book 6) ANTHOLOGY – Review by Bobbi Wagner

IRRESISTIBLE CHRISTMAS - PETS TO THE RESCUE (Irresistible Romance #6)IRRESISTIBLE CHRISTMAS – PETS TO THE RESCUE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this collection of Christmas stories. This is a great anthology that has seven stories from seven great authors. Each story brings something different and shows the spirit of Christmas. I found some of my favorite authors and I think you will too. One of my favorite stories is Two Hearts Christmas Rescue by Tamara Ferguson. It is about Kinley and Jake. Their Christmas is in need of rescuing. A few pets are in need of rescuing, will they turn Kinley and Jake’s Christmas around? The magic of love is pretty powerful, will it be for them? The other story that I really loved was Candy’s Christmas Wish by Cynthia Cooke. This is a story about second chances. Candy is on the verge of losing her house, business and her dog. What she needs is a miracle. As Lincoln comes back into her life, will he be the miracle she needs? Will Christmas be a time for healing? I loved the characters in each of these stories and the Christmas magic they each bring. A great Christmas book and I highly recommend this anthology.

This is a romantic, sometimes funny story about two people not looking for love, and finding each other. It has a Meet cute beginning with a romantic story line. A good romance for anyone to read. It has a small beach town feel, we all wish we lived in.

Second Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson – Review by Angela Hayes

Second Chance eX-masSecond Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 ½ Stars

Second Chance eX-mas is a heart-warming second chance romance by N.D. Jackson. Second Chance romance is something Ms. Jackson does incredibly well- and this book is a great testament to that fact. I have read Ms. Jackson’s Mustang Prairie series, which I really enjoyed- so it was a given that I would be diving into this story too- as I love second chances- and I knew Ms. Jackson would deliver on the promise held in the synopsis.
Ally and Archer were well on their way to a happily ever after, everyone thought so, especially Ally- until Archer left, without ever looking back. After years away, he finally returns, regretting what he’d left behind, and shaking up Ally’s world. When a steamy encounter rekindles the flame that burned between them, will they take a chance on love- or will the past hurt be too much to move past, no matter how hot their chemistry burns.
This is an enjoyable standalone story- with a steamy second chance/ holiday romance, with emotion, a touch of Christmas magic, fun, family- and being a novella makes it a quick and easy read.

Thank-you, N.D Jackson!

Five Stars

Run to the Sea is the first book in the first book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. It is a contemporary romance that is wonderfully written with characters that really put you on an emotional roller coaster. Thomas Capshaw and Emiline Fisher were childhood friends who lost touch. When Thomas comes back to town to settle his grandfathers affairs, he and Em rekindle there friendship which might turn into something more. This book had me laughing, crying and wanting to throw my kindle on the ground. This to me makes a great book. I can’t wait to read/listen to the next book in this series. K.G. Is one of my must read authors. I highly recommend this book.
This book was narrated by Kelly Genelle Fletcher. This is the first book I have listened to by Kelly. She really brings the characters to life. Her voice is smooth and easy to listen to.

Wow! Ashley A Quinn definitely spins quite the tale! There is the base romance storyline but also the mystery and suspense! I was reading this late one night after hubby had gone to bed and that was maybe not the best idea when reading scenes about a stalker crafted by a master author like Ashley! This was the first of her books I have read but now want to go and read #1 in this series and go from there!

This is the first time I am reading a book written by this author. The characters and story is well written and I really liked it from the beginning. The two main characters had great chemistry and you can tell they are working hard to forget or move on from their past. Will their love help them through it or hinder them? Between the romance and the intrigue make the book engaging. I’m sure many readers will enjoy this book.

This was an enjoyable quick read. The author did an exceptional job making the characters come to life, and making me feel like I was along with them in this charming small town. This is a wonderful holiday read and hopefully there is enough holiday magic for Ally and Archer to get a second chance at love and happiness. Even though this is a quick read it never felt rushed or or like you missed out on anything. There are some wonderful characters in this book. This is a must read to get all those feels you look for in a good second chance romance story. I will definitely be reading more books by this author. I highly recommend this book.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher – Review by Debi Kircher

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher

5 +++++ Stars

This is my 2nd AUDIObook by this author, I’ve read the ebook and just like the first one I had to have the audio because it is told in this author’s own voice and I fell in love all over again with this book. Most of this review is a copy from my ebook review because the feelings are the same after settling in and listening to it being read to me.

This story grabbed me from page 1…squeezed the ever loving life out of me…destroyed me …blew life back in to me, knocked me back down again, and then picked me back up…I ugly cried more than once, well more than twice actually and felt completely worn out. I’ve read I think all of this author’s books. I’ve loved every one of them and will read them all again at some point, but this one even though the second in a series stands within my top favorites of all time.

Ginger and Jonathon brought out every emotion I didn’t know I had. This story was written so beautifully and felt so real. I swear I feel like I stepped back out of Sandersville Beach after reading the last page. I loved Ginger in Emmy and Cappy’s book and love her even more now. Speaking of which, it was so completely awesome being back with Emmy and Thomas again as well..I loved their story and it was nice to be a part of their continuing journey. I love this town and I love the people in it…I want to move there!

I want so bad to get into more details of the story itself but I don’t trust myself to do that without giving away things I shouldn’t be so will end here and leave you with…these books are a must read and now a must listen, there’s too much in the first book to skip it so I don’t recommend that. I’m so hoping she decides to narrate Fiona’s story as well.

Grab the books or the audios or both..I swear reading them first makes them like a favorite movie, then watching that favorite movie again this time in her voice and anticipating some of my favorite parts and how she handles them. I just LOVE it beyond words!

Many thanks and much love to this author!

OFFICE MISTAKES by BETH HALE – Review by Chantelle Smith

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a brilliant first read from this author and really set me up for looking forward to more reads by her! Office Mistakes is a feel-good holiday romance read that while short, really does bring you quite a bit in a short time. Audra and Charlie have a connection that is undeniable but has been put to the back as they both are hoping for the same promotion, until one night! These two have amazing chemistry and I loved watching them work through the glitches they had at the beginning as it showed what they were both willing to put into things, it also showed what their real feelings were, in a short period of time! Can Audra put aside her past enough to allow Charlie to come and show her what she really needs and wants? I highly recommend this read.

I enjoyed this romance story. It is a shorter story that packs a real punch for romance. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and it certainly kept me turning pages to the end. This is an engaging story about Fiona and Connor. She is asked to tutor a football player but what she doesn’t realize is that she is about to face someone from her past. The problem is that he left her all that time ago, will he make amends with her? Connor is determined to have her back and show her he isn’t leaving this time. What happens next you will need to read this book. They are such great characters and really made the story easy to read for me. Their chemistry is awesome and couldn’t wait to see if they get their HEA. I highly recommend reading their story and this author

The Nearness of You: A British celebrity, standalone love-at-first-sight romance by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Kerry Carr

The Nearness of YouThe Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a very sweet romance. It was an enjoyable read with characters that were well written and you can’t help but fall in love with them. This book gives you all the feelings from excitement and love, to tears and sadness. There are also twist and turns which keep you guessing which I liked as its not a straight forward boy meets girl and falls in love.

Lauren is an aspiring singer on the local bars. She wonders if she will ever get her big break. What she doesn’t expect is to bump into a famous model during one of her shows.

David is in town for his sisters wedding when he hears Lauren sing and instantly falls for her. After spending time together he realises he needs to be with her so asked her to come with him for his big launch.

But not everyone is happy for David and Lauren. Will their spark grow into a fire? Will Lauren be too much of a distraction for David? Will their careers suffer for their romance or will they make it work?

But there is always the one who got away, would you ever be able to extinguish that old tiny flame? As it may be tiny, but its ultimately very strong. Then you have Archer, who is strong and tuff and has been fighting but now he may need to fight harder than ever. This was a great story, short and spicy and filled with festive spirit.

I always love a good holiday themed read, and this one did it for me. Although short and sweet, it had everything I needed to fall in love with this book. The characters were well developed and I was quickly turning the pages to find out what happens with Archer and Ally and of course Glory. Their story is sweet, beautiful and their second chance at love and a life together had me excited. The drama involved with Archer being in the military and him leaving everything by behind gave the story that little extra kick. I really look forward to reading more from this author.

Be Brave with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by CA Miconi – Review by Jenique Bornman

J.B Havens & CA Miconi joined forces in this heartwrenching romance.
Meg & Drew are both broken, they have both lost someone close to them.
Meg is on the run from her heartbreak and ends up in the small town Green Springs. There she runs into Drew, also heartbroken.
They keep on running into each other….. will these to people begin to heal….. you’ll have to read it to find out.

Both these MC’s are amazing and well written but I must say that I was drawn more towards Meg with her foul mouth and cheeky attitude.

Tyler and Tara also did and absolutely superb job with the narration of this book. I’m definitely checking to find more books narrated by them.

Each character brings something unique to the storyline and they had me so completely drawn into their world I definitely lost all track of time and I loved every minute of it. The storyline has a nice steady flow that gives readers exactly what they need. The characters are complex and relatable, each one written in the greatest details. The author put in every feeling she wanted felt and I felt them all from beginning to end. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

As she opens up a new restaurant, she finally starts to heal. Then he walks into her life and things start to happen. Jace just needs a change and heals from the loss of his family. Taking on a new job is a start. When he meets Tara, he wants to know more about her. What will fate have in store for them? When the past comes crashing into the present, how will things change. This is my first book from this author and I have absolutely fallen in love with Amy McKinley’s writing. I was expecting a short and sweet office romance between an assistant and her boss. Instead, I became heavily invested in Adeline and Stone within the first chapter of each respective character. McKinley did a fantastic job of giving Adeline and Stone more than just their appearances or wealth. They felt like individuals with their own personalities and dreams, and I would have enjoyed getting to know them and follow their stories whether there was a romance plot or not. It takes a lot of talent, attention to details, and good pacing to be able to pull off a novel like this, and Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance has me thoroughly impressed.

This was an engaging and emotional romantic suspense which had me gripped from the first page. Main character Tara Miller is home again after years away travelling the world and she’s determined to put her painful past behind her but she’s being stalked. With the distraction of her family and a new restaurant Tara finally feels she is healing. Then, she meets Jace Travers and the more Tara try’s to avoid him the harder it gets. Jace moved to Silver Gap, Colorado to become the Chief Deputy in order to avoid the memories of his wife and daughter. However, Jace is instantly intrigued by the sister of his Sheriff, Tara and her attempts at trying to avoid him just make him even keener to learn more about her. But when Tara’s past comes back to haunt her things turn deadly for them both.
I found myself immersed in this story and felt engaged with the characters all of whom were well defined, and I found the fiery and strong Tara who is a real survivor particularly likeable and relatable. I enjoyed the romance elements of the storyline and the chemistry between Tara and Jace did come across in the narrative. Quinn really made the characters and the setting come alive with her descriptive writing and the suspenseful plot moved the story along at a fast pace. I found that I could not put this book down and read late into the night, always a sign of a good book. I look forward to reading the previous book in ‘The Broken Bow’ series and any future ones.

Second Chance eX-mas is the first I’ve read by N.D. Jackson but it most certainly will not be the last. I don’t read very many second chance romance novels because I often feel the plots to be too corny or redundant but this one certainly surpasses all expectations. I was drawn into the story line right away and something about the author’s writing style was intriguing and familiar. I was drawn to Ally and her interaction with Cindy right away.
I love when books are written in multiple point of views and with the plot of this book, I thought it was great to see things from Archer’s perspective. Overall, I can’t say enough about this book and highly recommend it. Especially if you like a sweet romance during the holidays.

I enjoyed from beginning to end. She has a writing style that is easy to read and her stories flow really well. I. G. FLETCHER had created some amazing characters and Thomas and Emeline were no exceptions. I love a second chance romance how these two absolutely interact with each other. You root for these two. The Nearness of You: A British celebrity, standalone love-at-first-sight romance by K.G Fletcher

Not the first book I’ve read by Fletcher, but a must read like this brought me back. She knows how to capture her readers attention and keep it.

Lauren doesn’t expect to fall in love within a couple of days, but it happens. She is living her life doing what she loves doing. When she meets the supermodel things change drastically. The quote I chose for Lauren is: “I’m just really happy in this moment with you and I don’t want it to end.”

David is used to his career being the only thing in his life. On a Friday night he meets someone who turns his world upside down. In a good way. The quote I chose for David is: “It’s chemistry. It’s adoration. It’s unexplainable, really. All I know is I want more. I don’t know what that looks like entirely, but if we stick together, I believe the two of us can explore something truly special.”

Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.
