Before You Say I Do is a steamy contemporary romance…and I loved every part of this story. I am no stranger to this authors books…but this is one of my favorites. Giving me all the feels of romance, angst, drama, sizzle and the push and pull between two people….I highly recommend this book.

Emma is not looking for any commitment nor relationship….with a broken heart past that nearly tore her apart…Emma is working and going to school to become a sommelier…until Liam Cross comes crashing in. Liam is not looking for any commitments as well as he is hardened by how he views his father and mother’s marriage….but what can happen when two people who are just looking for a good time with similar views on relationships and feelings truly start to flourish. When Liam proposes a marriage contract so he can obtain his trust fund, Emma agrees knowing her end of the bargain will get her out of debt and travel to France. As fun times turn into having more feelings that are kept at bay……layers around Emma’s heart start to fall for Liam…..but when it is all said and done will their feelings for each other turn into a happily ever after or heartbreak….

Stars in the City is the first book of the series, by the same name. The book is definitely geared toward a teen audience. It is full of teen drama- jealousy, self doubt, back stabbing, social media trolling, etc. While it did contain immature characters, it was nice to see them evolve over the course of the book. Valeria is an actress, on a soap opera. She has some friends on the show, as well as frenemies. I really loved her relationship with Gloria, who is a bit of a role model for her. She is struggling with self doubt on the show, while having to navigate working alongside a co-star ex boyfriend. She is reconnecting with her high school boyfriend, who is a bit of a celebrity himself. He is a college basketball up and coming. They have a lot of unresolved feelings, and must learn to communicate effectively and trust each other, if they want to have another go at their relationship. The ending was a little abrupt, but the author stated their story will continue in book 2. This book wasn’t one of my favorites, but I did enjoy it, and would read the 2nd book to see how it all wraps up. I think teen girl readers would love the book.

This was my first book by this author, and I am blown away! The author grabs your attention from the very beginning with some steam and a woman who knows what she wants. I loved Emma the entire way through and her chemistry with Liam leaps off the pages. There are plenty of spicy scenes, but the author in no way relies on it to carry the storyline. I appreciate the flow of the story as everything progresses naturally, and the characters feel incredibly well-developed. Emma feels relatable as I feel like we’ve all been burned by an ex-partner who made us build walls and draw bridges to keep others out. Her ex-boyfriend, Stuart, had made some awful decisions and without revealing any spoilers, I definitely yelled out loud at him when some of the twists and turns happened! The author had me ALL the way invested in Liam and Emma and put sleep behind me as I stayed up to read the entire book in one day. I highly recommend picking this up if you’re looking for a steamy romance with a bit of unpredictability! I can’t wait to pick up more books by this author.

This was a really enjoyable romance with plenty of chemistry, drama with an ex and a undeniable connection between our main characters. I was hooked from the beginning.
We meet Liam and Emma. Emma has had problems in the past with men so the way she overcomes that is only having one night stands. Never wanting or expecting more. Until she meets Liam.
Liam is the same not wanting more from a woman but there is something about Emma that keeps him coming back.
As they navigate through the change from one night stands to friends with benefits could there be a possibility for this to become something more meaningful?
And when Liam gives Emma an offer she can’t refuse will this bring them closer or push them apart?
Add to this drama caused by Emma’s ex and this is a story that will keep you turning pages. Can friends with benefits progress to something more? Or are they both destined to end up heartbroken all over again?

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. After her ex-boyfriend’s behaviour leaves her not wanting another relationship, and being untrusting of men Emma sticks to one-night stands. Then she has a passionate night with the confident, handsome Liam with his seductive smile, and soon it’s another night followed by another night of him satisfying her needs, and before she knows it they are friends with benefits. As Liam manages to break through Emma’s walls she starts to fall hard and even starts dreaming of a HEA. However, Liam has his own commitment issues and does not want a relationship. That doesn’t stop Emma saying yes when Liam makes her an offer she can’t refuse, but then when her ex turns up unexpectedly she feels her life is spiralling out of control. Neither Emma or Liam planned on falling in love but now they are worried they are going to end up with a broken heart, if they are not honest with one another. I love Emma and Liam as they are both likeable and relatable characters who’s chemistry sizzles off the page. I like how their relationship develops throughout the book. I was hooked by the storyline and I felt invested in the main characters, whilst the romance and steamy scenes kept me reading late into the night.

I loved this book! I’ve read books from this author prior to this book and I’m going to say this one is my favorite. Why you might ask? Because the way the author wrote Before You Say I Do gave me the feels. And when books can give me the feels and make me feel like I’m part of the story it says a lot.
Now the characters aren’t easy to love because they are stubborn, independent, nonbelievers in love. Yet at the same time jealous, attentive, possessive and protective. Which leaves the reader in a conundrum. But trust me when I say it all works. I feel like I was friends with the lead female character.
Emma and Liam are people who don’t want relationships or commitments. However they crave each other physically. This story revolves around the ups and downs that their “friends with benefits” status takes them.
Liam wants his trust fund, but he can’t access it until he’s 35 or married whichever comes first. Being he’s started this friendship with Emma he feels she’s the perfect candidate to help him in his task. Two big problems: 1 will his family believe them? 2 They are both falling for the other and are too stubborn to admit it. Sacrificing their potential happiness together by sticking to the script.
Of course we know nothing is cut in dry and these stories and the exes don’t make it easy either.
Will they stick to the script?
How will the exes interference impact what they have?
Again it’s a story I loved, that had a lot to offer for fans of this genre. It’s worth it! Happy Reading!

This is such a beautiful, emotional story! I was immediately drawn in and my heart broke for Jake. Just as I was learning about him and falling in love with him, we meet Lexie. She’s a ball of a mess after being left at the alter but she’s a hoot too! I love her expressions and her strength.

Read this story and fall in love with falling in love. Katie will totally steal your heart though so be prepared!

Those Texas Winds can flutter as softly as a butterfly’s wings or batter whatever is in its path like a tornado or hurricane.

Texas Winds also signal change…which is exactly what Lexie wanted and what Jake didn’t know he needed.

The circumstances and later obstacles presenting themselves before Lexie and Jake blew the fields from calm to chaos.

The author presents exquisite visuals as well. The imagery is amazing.

It’s a 4⭐️ contemporary romance.

This is a great YA Romance with relatable characters even though their daily life is very different to that of most of the books readers. It shows young actors trying to navigate work, life and love while also showing the pitfalls of being famous and how things truly aren’t always as they seem. I look forward to reading more of this series. I really want to see what is in store for some of the other characters.

Texas Winds is a heartbreaking and heartwarming small-town contemporary romance that has a little suspense and tension. It is easy to imagine the world that Dana has created and feel the wind on your skin as you get lost in the story. The story kind of kicks you in the feels in the beginning as emotions threaten to overwhelm you. Dana has given us a heartfelt complex tale but simplistic in its telling. The characters feel real with substance and vulnerability, and you will fall in love with them. I love that Dana writes in dual POV because it adds depth to a story, and you get inside their thoughts.
Jake is a man who know a lot about the worst kind of betrayal and pain enough to make him a shell of a man he used to be. But he can no longer hide as he finds his heart being put back together piece by piece. But is he willing to take a leap of faith again. One precious little girls heart may depend on it.
I look forward to reading more of Dana Wayne’s books.

I was not prepared for the steam to start at practically the beginning but I am here for it. This tale of two people who need and want each other but aren’t willing to admit it is well written and fabulous. When I found out what Stuart did, I wanted to reach through my screen and slap him!! What a jerk and other words that I can’t use in book reviews!! 😃

Emma got burned by her ex, Stuart, and now doesn’t trust anyone. So for the last two years she had been happy to tend to her needs one guy, one night at a time. But Emma knew he was different when he walked into the bar. He put in the time and effort to get her to say yes to a date. But, she can’t let herself fall for him.

Liam has not had the best of luck with women. Most are after his money and not him. One chose to be his father’s mistress instead. Yeah, Liam is good with ONS. Until Liam met her. For some reason, it could be that she is his best friend’s wife’s best friend, but there is more and Liam doesn’t understand it. Emma is beautiful and desirable but there is so much more to her. Liam’s first instincts towards Emma are protective and an interest to know more. Liam knows that his history won’t let it be any more than smexyfuntimes.

Yet as Emma and Liam spend time together, they each break down each other’s walls, not knowing that they are falling for each other. When Liam concocts a scheme to gain early access to his trust fund, Emma goes along with it. When secrets from the past and people who won’t let go threaten their future, they make decisions that bring them closer together.

There are many great characters in this book. I hope we get to see the relationship between Zack and Melanie develop!! Jump in now! Read this book.

Emma has a bad history of her past and what her ex has done to her. She is all about not settling. She has rules and boundaries, that is until she meets Liam. He’s usually a one and done kind of guy. Emma tries to keep Liam at arms length. But they both want more than just a hook up, and they are both falling for each other. Emma is so guarded but Liam breaks through it with her. I love the character building, and how they can work through things. There are lots of steamy parts but in all the right places to build up the story.

El always had her doubts about Jeff. Then it all comes tumbling down once El reads a text on Jeff’s watch.<br />Carol the girls’ mom calls El and tells her she needs to come home as their late aunt had left something for Elsbeth in her will. Elsbeth has a hot and cold relationship with her mother but definitely is a daddy’s girl. Elsbeth gets to her parents home, and looks at the will that’s left for her. Her great aunt left her an entire estate, well a whole dang island!! Go read for yourself!!

Emma is trying to forget a horrid relationship one that left her so broken she can’t trust another person again. Liam has his own secrets he wants to keep hidden. In this spicy romance story its great to see how their lives unravel and the secrets they both try to keep hidden. Not for the faint at heart this book is steamy!

The Olympic Peninsula series is one of my all-time favorite book series, especially as its setting is in my hometown where I grew up! Cat Treadgold is one of the best authors of contemporary romance and has an amazing gift of words that she creates a world that makes you feel invested in the characters, it’s like they’re family. She does such an amazing job of portraying the small-town living that is so Port Townsend, right down to the fact that everyone knows everyone, and is so welcoming to all. The description of the Victorian homes is spot on, everywhere you look you are surrounded by a Victorian style, it’s not typical, but one that is its own style that pays homage to Queen Anne. I was so excited when I saw that we were finally getting Jake’s story, Joe’s twin brother, and getting to understand his true personality when he gets to be himself and do what he is passionate about. What a twist to find that right from the start his love interest is none other than David’s son’s caretaker, who happens to also be in an unhappy marriage. Will Jake finally be able to continue to pursue his dreams of happiness, will his mother finally accept his lifelong dream, and will he find his happily ever after like all his other siblings have so far? You do not want to miss the next book in this series! If you have not read the other books, I recommend you go back and read them in order so that you can understand in depth all of the backstories of the characters. If you love a good contemporary romance story, with dynamic characters, based in a realistic small-town setting, you will want to jump into this book series.

The Closer touches on a lot of emotion between June and Dallas. Lust and attraction bring tension when mixed with the frustration and anger of past experiences with one another. There’s the feelings of wonder and magnetism while fear of heartache and disappointment in past choices war with one another on top of the stress June is already dealing with life events that leads her back to Dallas – who has been beating himself up for 10 years since June left him last.

Out of desperation, June approaches the insanely Dallas to ask him to invest in her to help. He is known for being aggressive in his work and she knows the way things could turn out, but she has no other choice. Dallas has been beating himself up for a decade over how things ended last time, but he had earned his reputation and can’t bring himself to help. Bolstered by drinks and desperation, June makes a last ditch effort to Dallas that she can’t afford to lose by a “best of 3” bet after a few drinks. It turns out June should not have been as confident in her skills as she thought and finds herself accompanying Dallas on a trip to Argentina. Before she knows it, she finds herself wondering if this trip with her ex was worth it. Along the way, we are introduced to Navarro to throw a wrench in their reconciliation.

There were multiple branches to this story, but it is interesting and well put together. There’s enough strife to have you rooting for the past couple but it isn’t so strong that you really feel they are enemies – more like they hurt one each others feelings and they get overreacting for an entire decade, but the prose is engaging and I was constantly interested in finding out what happens next. A fast read that kept me following for way more pages than I should have in one sitting at start to finish. Can be read as a standalone.

Liam and Emma will pull you into their world so fast. I instantly felt a connection to each character. Their relationship is fun to watch grow and become something neither knew they were looking for. Emma is so sassy and her character is fun. Liam is just as fun mixed with his protective nature is the best recipe for the perfect book boyfriend. This one is definitely spicy so have a fan at the ready. It’s well written with characters you connect with and root for easily. Five stars and highly recommended.

I have listened to a few of this authors books and they never disappoint me. The detailing is great. I highly recommend starting from the first book or you wont be able to follow along with the story. The characters and world building was greatly thought of. I enjoyed this one so much.

This is my favorite book in The Olympic Peninsula series by far! I already loved the previous books so it was a no brainer that I would pick it up and enjoy it. Although you can read these as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order to get the full extent of the characters and background. I was excited to see that this was Jake’s story because we met him early on in his less-than-pleasant stages. He’s made enormous leaps and bounds in his life it seems, and his family isn’t sure what to make of him now. Getting to see Jake’s side of the story is eye-opening and pulls at your heartstrings. This was quite the emotional rollercoaster with plenty of angst, romance, and family ordeals. The flow of the story felt effortless which is no small feat! I highly recommend picking this up as well as the rest of the series. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the next installment, I’m on pins and needles!

The Changed Man is Book Four in the Olympic Peninsula series. It is a contemporary romance with family dynamics, drama, secrets, intrigue, mystery, suspense, angst, and conflict. The characters are interconnected from the previous books in this series, so it is best to read the previous books prior to this one. This story focus on the MC Jake O’Connell who has returned to Port Townsend for his brother David’s wedding. Jake has been estranged from the family and returned without letting anyone know that he was coming so his return causes quite a stir within his family. He has held a bit of a grudge against his brothers because they left him to run the family business while they ran off to pursue their dreams. Jake has left his life as the CEO of the family business in North Bend and has turned to a life of writing. The story focuses on how Jake has transformed his life, and the complex relationship Jake has with his family, especially his twin brother, the famous country singer Joe Bob Blade. When Jake meets Chiara, his brother’s son’s guardian, he feels an instant connection, but she is married. He wants her despite the obstacles that are standing in his way. This book builds on prior ones in the series and delves a bit deeper into the complicated lives and relationships of the O’Connell family. The characters were relatable, engaging, multi faceted, complex, and experienced tremendous growth throughout the story. The storyline was well written with intricate details that fully immerse you into the lives of this complex family.

This is a enjoyable read full of family drama, twist and turns and romance appearing in a place you least expect it. This is the fourth book in the Olympic Peninsula series. I would recommend reading these books in order as each book focuses on a different member of the family however characters do cross over. Plus you get a better feeling and understanding for the family and the dynamics at work.

In this story we are with Jake O’Connell. Jake moved away from the family and was CEO of the family business. He has always been a driven man stopping at nothing to succeed no matter the cost.
When he returns home for his brother David’s wedding he catches everyone by surprise. And they are even more surprised to hear he has resigned as CEO, rent a house and is now a writing thrillers. What has made this man do a complete 180 and change his life so drastically?
With his heart heavy from the loss of his friend, resentment towards his brother for leaving him with the family business so he couldn’t pursue his own dreams and finding his muse in Chiara there is a lot of emotions to work through.
This is Chiara and Jake’s story. The connection between them is instant but with Chiara being married will anything come of this flame or will it burn out?
This is a emotionally rollercoaster of a story as you witness all the family angst, as well as the complicated feelings between Jake and Chiara.
I have enjoyed every book in this series so far and I can’t wait for it to continue

June and Dallas were in stoppable as a duo but when there relationship broke down she swore she would not want anything Dallas has to offer, until now. June’s business is failing and when her investor pulls the plug there is only really one place to go, Dallas.

Although people around town talk about him can I put my feelings aside to help my business or will the clauses he puts in place be for the business or me.

Dallas is thrilled that June has come back into his life, but can he be the knight she requires or will the past be too much for her to forgive. Setting June up with his friend to invest is the best scenario but does she have the feelings I buried ten years ago when she left.

This is the third book in this series and can be read as a stand alone story. Like the others this is full of twists and turns which is a slow burn at the beginning but becomes epic by the end and will have you scrambling to finish to see what happens. The character of June was brilliant and sassy, full of what she wanted and was not afraid to go after it. Dallas is a fiery Alpha make character which with June make an explosive couple. The secondary characters add an air of twist which is great to read.

I can’t wait to read books for this author.

Emma is working her way to becoming a Sommelier but with school, work and an Ex- boyfriend she would rather forget she has no time for a relationship. Hook ups are fine but need to leave by the morning as she does not want to get her heart broken again, but when a handsome, dashing man walks into the bar she may have to rethink her whole dating life.

Liam is a player, he gives them a night and then by the end of it they need to leave. His notion on marriage and relationships is that they are not worth the energy as his only reference is his parents marriage which is non-existent, but when he meets Emma she crawls under his skin and he is doing couplie things he would not imagine him doing. So when he offers Emma an agreement can both of them come away with their hearts in tacked, you will have to read to find out.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it was brilliant flowing story. Emma was just the right amount of sass and wanting to be a wine waiter was a refreshing change to the normal career paths people go down. Liam is a confident, powerful man but in his interactions with Emma they are soft and kind, showing at times his vulnerability in his character.

The story is well developed and fast paced and the chemistry between the two characters is brilliant, the slow burn of the relationship makes it more appealing to keep reading to see if in the end their is a happy ending for the two of them. I could have done some serious damage to her ex-boyfriend but it all works out in the end lol.

Can’t wait to read more books from this author in the future.

If this is the end if the series as I have been hearing the title is definitely fitting. This enemies to lovers has plenty of drama. June and Dallas also have plenty of chemistry and it oozes off the pages. June and Dallas have known each other for a while. Something went wrong over a decade ago and June swore never to work with the man again. However, due to an investor backing out of financing the business she is trying to start she is in a pinch. Dallas, ever the knight in shining armor, knows a guy in Argentina. Is it safe to take money from a stranger? Overall this series has been a good one to read and can all be read as standalones.

This is the 4th book of the The Olympic Peninsula Series. This release was much anticipated. I couldn’t wait to be immersed into this world again. Now we finally get to have Jake’s O’Connell POV. I was waiting to see if we’d get his redemption story. This one follows Jake and Chiara’s ups and downs through the book. And ups and downs they are lol get ready to feel the feels reading this. The author always outdoes herself the more she continues to write this series.i love that we got to see the characters from the previous books. I always love when an author does that, because I often wonder about them after their books end. Jake definitely has become one of my favorite characters and I can’t wait til I see more of him in the next book. Speaking of which The 5th book The Fallen Man comes out in june of this year and i truly can’t wait to see how Cat Treadgold tops herself 🥰
