The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey
The Fisher Men X My Heart ( The Fisher Men book1) by Rebel Nicks O’dey is a wonderfully written book. Once you start reading it you won’t want to put it down till the last page and even then I wanted more. This is my first read by this Author and it’s definitely not my last. I pretty much had my brother picked out from the get go. Find out what happens next when Sam comes home all grown up, and has her sights on one of the brothers. There was times I felt as if I was a on emotional rollercoaster ride and others I was angry. There is a part that could be a trigger. I do highly recommend reading this. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

The Fisher Men X My Heart: Book 1 by Rebel Nicks O’Dey had me from the very beginning. I read a lot and enjoy most of what I read, this book is one of the best books I have read in a while. Not sure what it was that caused such strong feelings but I loved this book.

Samantha grew up with the Fisher boys who lived next door. They went from being the hot boys next door to being her whole world one fateful night. Each one of the boys took care of her in a different way, but one had her heart.

I wasn’t sure which one of the brothers it was going to be for a while but I think she ended up with the right one. If only every girl had a Fisher family next door.

This is the first book I have read by this author, my only regret is not finding her sooner. I have already added her other books to my TBR list, now to find the time to move them up on the list.

Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Michelle Mulvey

AikoAiko by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aiko – A Heartstrings Novel by Brooke May was a 4 star read for me. The book was about Cupid and his angels he has chosen to find love for humans. Aiko has had the worst possible luck in helping humans find love. She was recently found in the park watching a man name Alejandro make a fool of himself begging a woman not to walk away from him.
Well Aiko is called home by mother who really isn’t her mother but, is Cupid’s right-hand angel who acts like the mother. Brielle is the sweet loving mother figure of the sisters.
When Aiko speaks with Briella she finds out she can now take on assignments…her next assignment is Alejandro Gomez.
Aiko feels like she is fighting a losing battle with this guy. She has seen him in action and knows this will be a lot of work.
Aiko finds two possible women for Al to date. One is a perfect match and the other she is using to show Al the difference. Will Aiko be able to pull this off or will Al end up either with the wrong woman or possibly single? Aiko is being trusted with this task because Cupid and Briella both believe in her.

Aiko ( The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May
4 Stars

This was a cute story. I think the concept was very original. It’s about Aiko, who is a Cupid, needing to help Alejandro get together with the woman he is meant to be with. Alejandro, who is very good looking, has no clue when it comes to women. He is Aiko’s first case in forty years. She was exiled because she caused the worst tragedies in human history. Needless to say, this lead to some comical moments. I found the story to be entertaining with the twist of an unsuccessful cupid. The story is fun, light and filled with likeable characters.

Aiko by Brooke May was a sweet and comical quick read! I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I could not stop thinking of Murphy’s Law while reading this book. Anything that could go wrong did go wrong for Aiko and Alejandro. Aiko slowly reveals her past and I could not stop my mind from trying to connect dots. I kept my fingers crossed for Alejandro the whole time!

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson – Review by Karyn Taylor

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily #1)Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Proper Irish is the fantastic first book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. I had not previously read any of this authors work and I have to hand it to her, I absolutely loved this book. If this first book in the series is anything to go by then this series is going to be right up there among my favourites.
The story centres around Stella Rosencourt who as an events planner is planning a St Patrick’s Day event for the local mayor who originates from Ireland. Unfortunately the mayor’s wife is a complete bitch and making Stella’s life hell. Add to that the mayor’s son Padraig has taken an immediate dislike to Stella. When Stella asks for Padraig’s help to make the event as authentically Irish as possible sparks are soon flying between the 2. As much as they dislike each other, they can’t deny the attraction.
I loved this story and devoured it all in one sitting. Padraig and Stella are amazing characters who are very well written. Padraig comes across as very abrupt and unpleasant to begin with but we soon get to see the much softer, charitable side of him. The interactions between the 2 can be quite entertaining to say the least. The secondary characters add a lot to the story. In particular I loved Padraig’s mum Moira. We are also introduced to Stella’s best friend Kerry and Padraig’s friend Luca who runs the tattoo shop, Jaded Lily, who seem to have hit it off too.
I already have the next book Proper Ink, which is Luca and Kerry’s story on my kindle and I can’t wait to dive in. If it’s anything like this book then I’m sure I’ll be loving that one too.

Aiko was a wonderful read; it was funny, romantic and had likeable characters in it. It was an easy story to read and it didn’t take me long to get into it at all. I really liked Aiko, I thought she was such a great character to read about – she hadn’t had the best luck in the past with her job as cupid but I could tell straight away that it wasn’t going to be that way with her new assignment!
The author got it spot on with the world building in this story – her richly detailed writing definitely made the story come alive and I really did fall for the characters.
Aiko was a fantastic, light hearted read that I loved from beginning to end! This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author but it is definitely one of my favourites! I can’t wait to read more from Ms May again in the future!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an AH-MAZ-ING story! The story and the characters are simply wonderful! I LOVED each of these characters. Each of them brought so much to the story! They are quirky, fun and downright serious.

Samantha is the main female character. She made me feel wonderful and horrible then she made me love her. She just filled the story with her thoughts and actions. I loved all her ideas on the Fisher boys. How she can choose one of those Fisher boys is beyond me! But Day-um did she choose a good one!

All of the secondary characters were superb. The females are strong independent along with some fun and sass. All of the males were undeniably HOT. Don’t worry they have other tributes as well. Each was written so well I could easily tell who was who by their thoughts and characteristics. It is so easy to be fully invested in all of these characters.

I love all the little additives that make this story unforgettable. The dinners at the Fishers, the pet names and of course the last couple chapters. SQUEE!!! This literally brought me happy tears!!!

Sweetheart, My Sammy, Sam I Am and My Girl….I just love those guys!

I really enjoyed the way this story was written. It is told in past tense with diary entries and through an “interview” with a friend and present tense through dialogue and the occasional blog entry .

One of the unique things about this book is that it has a trigger warning and what might trigger someone is set apart in such a way that you can skip those paragraphs. A great way to move the story along and keep the reader engaged.

The world bonding phenomenon. We are introduced to each brother in such a way that I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

My favorite line from this book is “I am the casual observer today. Its sounds better than stalker.

I very much enjoyed the book and recommend it.

Aiko (Heartstrings Book 1) by Brooke May

Aiko was a great 5 star read (Romantic Comedy). Brooke has once again pulled me right in with her writing and I really enjoyed it. This is a quick read and you will be done before you know it.

Aiko doesn’t have the best reputation as a cupid, in fact she is considered the worst cupid ever. When she is assigned to Alejandro things get interesting, she is supposed to help him find his match.

Will she be able to help him find the one or will she fall for him herself?

Overall I really enjoyed this read, I had several LOL moments and twist and turns. The Cupid’s Law also had me LOL. I really liked Aiko and Alejandro, they were so lovable. All the secondary characters were great as well. The detail in this book is amazing, you feel like your right there with the characters. I can’t wait to read more from the series. My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was a hooking read that took me out of my normal comfort zone.

My first read from this author I was caught but the clever sassy cover and the unique storyline. I won’t lie, I normally don’t read these types of books. I’m not a fan of the multi love interest and the guessing game of who will win in the end. But this story was completely different to what I was expecting.

I honestly loved it, and was hooked pretty much from the start. There was care taken with this story, and the writing had this off beat tone that was both light heart, and dark, reflecting our MC. Each brother had their own voice, personality and charm that made you wish she would choose them, and wishing you could choose them. There are some not so pleasant moments, and there is a trigger warning at the start of the book. So just a heads, there is a scene that might not sit well with you.

Overall this book is worth your time and energy, it’s a must read, and one that should be talked about. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get captured by this original unique read.

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily #1)Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Proper Irish was quite the little tale and I for the most part really enjoyed my time with Padraig and Stella. I will be upfront about it though and say that a few things just fell a bit short for me personally. I struggled to connect and fall for with Padraig. He is a hot head and honestly I would have given up well before Stella. Heck she gave him all the chances, to which I will say made her shine as a strong-willed and fierce woman. She definitely held her own with Padraig and was probably the only one that could.

The overall writing and storyline was good however and I did enjoy the overall book once I was said and done. The characters did eventually grow on me and by the end I too found myself rooting for Stella and Padraig. Zeia Jameson was a new author to me though, and this is a first novel in a series so I simply see it as room to grow and chances for improvement. I enjoyed it enough to be back for more with book two. Overall a solid four star read from a new author is definitely not something to complain about!

I have not read anything from Rebel Nicks O’Dey prior to The Fisher Men X My Heart, but once I saw the fun cover and caught a bit of the blurb I was hooked on the story before I even began. It was a nice surprise to fall in love as much as I did with the whole story inside the covers. I could not get enough of Morgan, Connor, Xander and Zack, so it’s a good thing this is not the last we will hear from them with the promise of future books in a series. Thank God because I am already experiencing withdrawal from these characters. This is a dynamic romance novel with several twists and turns throughout that you won’t see coming. I had no idea things would play out the way the did so later in the novel, but it all made sense in the end. This book has it all and if you are looking for something fun, sexy, and gripping I’d highly recommend you pick up a copy for yourself to devour and fall in love with. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed you did.

This is a new author for me, and what a brilliant introduction it was. I loved this book from the very beginning. Rebel Nicks O’Dey has written a brilliant book with an amazing storyline and even better characters. Each characters you meet in this read are relatable, lovable in some way but also make this story. This read brought you through numerous twists and turns and made you really think about what was going to happen, but then the author takes on in a completely different direction. This was a compelling read that you got so invested in the story you didn’t realise you had read it all in one sitting!

I loved following the journey of our main character through the read all through their ups and downs right until the end.
I can definitely see Rebel Nicks O’Dey becoming one of my go-to authors after this read! I highly recommend everyone pick up this book and love it just as much as I did!

I loved this book! It is the first book that I have read by this author and will absolutely not be the last! I think I was hooked on this book by the end of the third page! The author hooked me into the story straight away with her engaging and creative writing style. I liked that the blurb was quite evasive so I almost went into this story blind – for me it made it more exciting to read not really knowing what was going to happen. I really liked The Fisher Men, Morgan, Connor, Xander and Zack, I thought that they were great to read about. The time frame of the story spans a few years but it doesn’t feel like that at all, the story telling was seamless and had a wonderful flow to it. There were some very emotional moments in the story and I did feel a good connection with all of the characters, I think this definitely helped by the different POV’s throughout the book. I am really excited to read more from this author again in the future!

Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May

5-Stars

Aiko is the first book in the Heartstrings series and was an interesting read. Aiko is a Cupid who has a rocky and colorful past. She is assigned to Alejandro to help him find his match. Alejandro has a hard time with romance but has a way with animals. The two made for an invigorating read.

I loved the banter between the two main characters and also the different dates they worked through. Aiko was very to the point and Al was full of sarcasm. This book was easy to read and I could not put it down. I was at the end before I realized it. I highly recommend this fun and romantic read. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I loved it.

This story touches on some triggering content, however, this author went above and beyond by adding a forewarning plus she’s also included a way for the reader to be alerted of the scene in order to skip it if need be. Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson is a great quick read! This book is a total 5 out of 5 stars. I wish I had read this lying on the beach! You jump right into Stella’s life as an event planner and immediately find out that she is good at her job and has great intentions. She is kind and has proper manners, at least until Padraig comes into her life. Her fire shines and her confidence soars during her interactions with him. Padraig’s character comes of super standoffish and intimidating but something keeps pulling Stella back. I really enjoyed the flow of this book, it took me on a journey of a brief period of time in Stella’s life. I loved that the history and descriptions were brief but efficient enough to build a world. I loved Padraig’s character, the development and confidence was a breath of fresh air. He looks like your typical alpha but has a depth to him that is unexpected.

This is my first read from this author, I was pulled right in.

Stella is an event planner, she is getting ready for a big event for the mayor. When she falls in front of Padraig and he fails to help her, she is determined to find out why he treats her so badly. When she learns the truth, things change for her. It took me a bit to like Padraig, but eventually he pulled me in.

Can these two have a HEA?

Overall this enemies to lovers read was great. The chemistry between these two was off the charts, they were made for each other. Stella was a strong and determined character. Both characters had my emotions all over the place. The detail the author used was great, you felt like you were right there. The locations were great. The secondary characters added a great element to the story as well.

By: Zeia Jameson
My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson was a pretty okay read that kept me reading.

My first read by this author, I took a chance because this book seemed right up my ally, and I’ve been wanting a good romance to kick start the heart. I fell pretty easy into this book, it read well and had a pretty good setup, and storyline. But, I felt that the characters weren’t as developed as they could have been, and at times the tone felt a little too teenage like, like it read more like a YA at times, than an adult book. That pulled me out of the story and frankly, it was a tab bit annoying.

Other then that, I did very much enjoy this read, it read fairly fast and I loved the misunderstanding with the two MC’s, and how they both had skewed vision of one another. These redemption type books always get me, cause they usually have fun drama and banter that keeps you reading and grinning. This book was no different, and like I said, even though I had some issues, it kept me engaged, grinning and it kept me there.

To end this book gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval

I was completely unprepared to love this book as much as I do. I knew I would enjoy it. The cover is fantastic and the synopsis is clever. O’Dey is certainly gifted. With effortlessness (it seems) she weaves a tale over a span of several years, utilizing several POV, from adolescence to adulthood and maintains the reader’s attention without demeaning or belittling any emotion or experience regardless of character or time. The story transitions easily, moves quickly. I felt O’Dey masterfully broached the difficult scenario at the root of the complicated relationship/friendship at the center of the book. The utilization of the interview notes interspersed certainly lent a depth to the story I wasn’t anticipating. It was emotional, funny, sexy… you think you know who the ultimate choice will be. You may second guess whether you guessed right. But regardless you won’t be disappointed with how the story wraps up. Especially since this is just the beginning of our journey with the Fisher Men. Absolutely loved it!

This is my second or third book I’ve read by this author and I’ve honestly enjoyed every exposure to Nicole’s writing as much as the last. The four legged companions in these stories really do make the books!

The Matchmaker’s Match was a fast paced, relatively short read that had my attention from start to finish. Admittedly, I do have a soft spot for stories about one night stands that don’t quite go as expected. This book was a great escape from the day to day grind.

The books in this series can be read as stand alone stories but they really are great stories, you’ll probably find yourself devouring all three pretty close together! I’m looking forward to more to come from Nicole Flockton!
