Super cute, clean, fun, awkward, charming, and romantic.
This is a fast read with a very clear direction (although I did think it was going to go a certain way for a whlle) and it was easy to follow along. Each character plays a vital role in the story and there is no filler taking up space.
AIKO is one of those books that I would recommend to lovers of any romance, including an elderly book club.
I look forward to the next installment of “The Heartstrings Series ”

I have never read anything by Brooke May before and i wasn’t disappointed by this book. I’m a hue sucker for romantic comedy! This book had me laughing out loud and that’s something that isn’t easy to come by.
Aiko is the WORST cupid EVER! She is literally a disaster and then some. She has an assignment…Alejandro. He’s sweet and loving but his love life is also a disaster. The things that follow will have you rolling! Love this book and cannot wait for the rest.

Aiko by Brooke May is the first book in the Heartstrings series. This is only the second book that I have read by this author and I have loved every single page. I found this to be such a unique and interesting story – a unique take on a relatively saturated myth. I loved Aiko. I found her to be utterly thrilling. Her whole story was interesting and engaging. I was completely sucked in by her story and devoured the whole book in one sitting. I could not recommend this book enough and I am very much looking forward to seeing what is next to come.

This is my first story by this author, I enjoyed it from cover to cover. This is a well written and creative story. The characters are connectable and made the story pop off the pages. Four brothers, all love the girl next door but she is off limits. She is now home from college, has she set her sights on one of them? Which one? I found myself turning page after page, before I realized it, I was finished. I don’t regret picking up this book and neither will you, highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this story. I was pulled in right from the start and it held my attention to the end. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed watching their story grow throughout the book. They are connectable and made the story seem real and come alive. Aiko was exiled forty years ago but now she is back and is given a second chance as Cupid. She has a new assignment plus she has the world’s survival on her shoulders. What couple possibly happen? I highly recommend this book.

Aiko by Brooke May is a truly one of a kind read! I’ve read a few books by this author but honestly this one is my favourite by far! This is the first book in the Heartstrings series, and it follows Aiko, a cupid who has an impossible love assignment after a long period away from work.
Aiko’s story is funny, witty, detailed, intriguing and truly captivating. It’s a shorter read that I was able to read in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. There was so much detail and the story flowed seamlessly!
I can’t wait to continue this series ASAP, this one of a kind read is one I would recommend to anyone!

The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) By: Rebel Nicks O’Dey 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in both the storyline and characters. I enjoyed reading about Morgan, Connor, Xander, and Zack. Also known as The Fisher Men. I also enjoyed reading about the young woman who is coming home and wanting to claim one of them. The dynamics between The Fisher Men and the young woman is a strong bond. They are her protectors and each one has helped her in their own way. What will happen when the young woman makes her claim on one of the brothers? Is there any future for them? Read this book to find out. I found this story to be very emotional. There are heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and dialogue. This book shows the power of love and friendship. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced in the story. I love that many of the characters have such kind and caring hearts. They are likable and I found myself caring about many of them with each chapter that I read. Don’t miss out on a story that has unforgettable characters and you will not want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended.

The Matchmaker’s Match was a really nice romantic read! It was well written and whilst it is the third book in the series it is perfectly fine to read as a standalone! It has definitely made me want to read the others in the series too! Because I found the story so easy to read I read it quite quickly. I really liked the characters and thought that they were likeable and relatable! I liked that the characters path to a HAE wasn’t all plain sailing, there were some unexpected twists and turns which made the story a little less predictable than I thought it was going to be! There were a few times where I really felt a huge connection to Meredith and I think although detailed the author approached everything really respectfully. Overall I thought that this was a really lovely read and I would recommend it to other readers! I look forward to reading more from Ms Flockton again in the future!

Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) By: Brooke May 5 out of 5 stars
The story Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May is a romantic comedy. It drew me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in the book. There are moments that I was smiling as well as laughing out loud. There are other moments that were touching. I loved reading about the characters of Aiko and Alejandro Gomez. Aiko could be given the title of worst cupid ever. Her past is littered with disaster. What will happen when she is given Alejandro as her new assignment? Alejandro is a man who is kind, caring, and has a generous heart. His love life is a different matter altogether. Read this book to find out what happens. Aiko and Alejandro are characters that are likable, and I grew to care about. The author has created a story that is entertaining, wonderful to read, and has unforgettable characters. I would highly recommend reading it.

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch Series Book 3) by Avery Scott was just too hot to put down thus me needing to devour it in one swoop and reading it in one sitting.I mean who does not like a hot fireman story? Am I right? I confess I am a bit of an Avery fan I love her stories and she never lets me down, I always know I am in safe hands. I love all the books in this series and I think this one has to be my favourite. Avery writes so vividly you can just see it all play out and the story flowed really well. Avery has done yet another wonderful job at bringing these characters to life.It is definitely fun and entertaining.
Gigi knows what she wants, right? And that is her man back after he dumps her. Her life is about to change in one of the best ways.
Tony is witty and oh so sarcastic but also oh so lovable. When the fates put a certain woman in front of him, he knows he just has to have her.
I enjoy Avery’s books and always look forward to more. You have to read this book, it is such a beautiful and entertaining story.

This is the third book in this series but can easily be read as a stand alone. I enjoy the whole “dog” aspects of these books. They are written like secondary characters and not just as home decor. Lincoln is a character from book 1 (which I haven’t read) and it’s finally time for him to get his romance on. He has seen his best friends life and decides he would like that for himself. When Linc and Meredith first meet…its H-O-T! A one night stand of fun! Both are beyond shocked upon meeting again a month later.
Meredith is a good character but I almost felt Linc’s plight more. I don’t think Merediths character went deep enough. She seems very soft and kind although at times single minded. She does have some good supporting characters. Linc has his own concerns but once he connects with Meredith he starts placing hers before his. Which should mean something right? I loved his excitement over working again and seeing him at work with his dog.
Overall this is a good story. It lightly touches on a few things but doesn’t let them weigh down the story. The book is quick and easy to read. The story flows nicely and the characters are so cute. As mentioned before I also enjoy the whole dog theme running through the books.

Romance author Brooke May spends her days writing whatever her overactive imagination has brewed up and her evenings reading while she works alongside her mom. Telling stories is second natural to her, from a young age she has told anyone who would listen what she had thought up. Now, a mom of two, she splits her time writing, playing with her kids, and of course, hiking, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in her beloved Bighorn Mountains.
While on maternity leave with her youngest, Brooke was putting laundry away when she looked at a poem she had written in high school that was framed in her son’s bedroom. That poem triggered the idea of My Cowboy and soon she was sitting in front of her computer with her infant next to her writing her first love story that wasn’t a fanfiction.

After her near rape and the social media streaming of her downfall, four brothers vowed to love and protect, but never date her.
Morgan made her chicken soup to feed her body and soul.
Connor taught her what love is during their weekly movie date.
Xander held her when the demons wouldn’t let her sleep.
Zack made her a badass who is no longer afraid of the dark.
The girl next door is coming home, all grown up, and ready to claim one of them. Has it been long enough? Separating the girl who needed them, from the woman who wants just him, will make navigating a relationship through the hooks of the Fisher Family, and the mysteries that surround them, difficult at best.
Rebel is retired from a career in EMS (Emergency Medical Service) as a first responder. One downfall of her profession was never knowing what happens next. Once a patient is safely in the emergency room, she never knew if they recovered, if their family made it in time, or if life could go on. She dealt with the stress by writing rich backstories and twisting their trauma into a happily ever after. She writes real-life horror and the darkest pieces of humanity but with light through the scars, love, healing, and humor. After becoming intimately involved in the trials and tribulations of her characters, she laughs when they laugh, cries when they cry, and sighs at the end. Rebel hopes you, too, get lost in another world, find light in the dark, get inspired, and get frisky with your Love.
Rebel Nicks O’dey is blissfully married to her childhood sweetheart. It’s easy to write about love and romance when you know what it is. She has several amazing children. She has lived in three states and six homes in the last ten years. So, where she is from, is a complicated question. Rebel dreamed of writing books and sharing them with the world from a very early age. She is a two-time National Winner of the Young Authors Contest, but then life happened. Like most adults, she forgot about her dreams and grew up. Writing became a stress relief, a hobby, and nothing more. Surviving Cancer changed her perspective. Life is short, stop surviving it; live it.

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch Series Book 3) by Avery Scott. This is such a fun read. I love Avery Scott books! This is the story of Georgia ” Gigi” Sinclair who seems to have it all, First Class travel and a TV Star Fiance Chaz. It seems like the perfect life but when Chaz calls off their engagement she is determined to win him make no matter what. One night out she meets sexy firefighter Tony who is the polar opposite of her boyfriend. Tony is blue collar, down to earth, silly and street smart. He brings out the real Gigi and he makes her feel so happy. Happier than she’s been in a long time. Will she choose happiness with Tony or will she still try to get Chaz back no matter the circumstances. This is a great Contemporary Romance!

We start the story with Tony, a firefighter who isn’t looking for anything serious. His friends are starting to settle down and he’s not quite ready for that yet. When Tony goes to a reality show premiere with his friend he meets Gigi.
Gigi’s life has been flipped upside down. She snuck into the party to confront her ex fiance and had a few drinks to deal with the pressure. She ends up meeting Tony who helps her leave the party and get somewhere safe. Georgia is heartbroken with how things ended and she needs some closure.
There is something about Gigi that pulls Tony in. Can he help her get over her ex? Is he finally ready for a real relationship?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. Gigi was a great sassy character and Tony is a hot firefighter. We get some steamy moments from them as well. The secondary characters added a great element as well. The bantering between them gave me LOL moments. Avery Scott pulls you right in with her writing. I can’t wait to read more from this series and author.

This is not the first book I have read by this author and while this is “volume 3” of The Catch Series, TOO HOT TO HANDLE can absolutely be read as a stand-alone.
This was a quick and easy read and I flew threw the pages. It had everything I love in a book; Romance, light angst, obvious connection, dual POV, humor and friendship. Oh and of course a hot fireman who can cook.
Both MCs where enjoyable to read and each was quirky in their own way. The flow of this story is very smooth and while there were times I wanted to yell at the female protagonist, I appreciated her dilemma.
I will absolutely read more of this author’s work and wonder what will come next.

The Matchmaker’s Match by Nicole Flockton is the third book in the Man’s Best Friend series. This is fun and easy read that can be read as a standalone. The characters in this book are brilliant. I loved the chemistry they clearly had together and yet at the same time they were sweet and relatable. They were really enjoyable to read about. I liked how the whole story progressed. I felt like it provided great character development and was well paced. This is the kind of book that is perfect for that lazy afternoon where you put your feet up and get lost for a few hours. This is a book definitely worth reading.

Oh holy hotness! Avery Scott you really have nailed this one down to every last detail! I absolutely could not put this novel down from the moment I started the very first chapter. Now Avery Scott is not a new author to me and I have devoured the other two novels in this series, although they are written well enough you can read as a standalone each of them, but this book right here made me a true mega fan!
Too Hot to Handle has it all! All the right pieces of the puzzle are present for a steamy and gripping romance. There is plenty of antagonists at play as well that keeps the reader on their toes the entire time. I adored Gigi (Georgia). She has not necessarily had the best of luck when it comes to men, and when her fiance, Chaz, calls off their engagement she is only set and determined to figure out how to win the man back. What she never anticipated was fate throwing the ever handsome firefighter Tony, into the mix. What will happen when Tony slowly starts to melt her heart? Will Gigi make the right decision and find her perfect match?
I can’t wait to find out what will come next in The Catch series. In the meantime I will be ordering some hard copies of these gorgeous novels to grace my shelves at home. I know whatever will come next from the ever talented Avery Scott will be the first on my next read!

Via Mari does it again in Wayward, her first book in the Billionaire Bodyguard series. This book is Sasha and Jay’s story but also other characters from her books pop in. In this book you will find drama, secrets, steam that will keep you wanting to read more and more. I love how Via Mari has such wonderful and complex characters and how I always find myself reading in one sitting. I am always so drawn into the story. Sasha is a Russian Ballerina who is smart, beautiful and independent. And Jay is a bodyguard to two very wealthy men. As soon as these two meet, you can feel the attraction and the passion through the steamy scenes light up this book even more. What I loved the most is the questions I asked myself though the whole time reading. Can Jay overcome Sasha’s past? Can these two find the love they need and deserve in each other? And by the end, my questions were answered. I highly recommend this five star read. You will find passion, tension, and suspense. Via Mari hit it out of the park with this one and I cannot wait to read more in this series!

Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love (To Love a Sportsman Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes is a sweet sports romance story. The plot was solid and it was easy to read and I read it in one sitting. There were times I wanted to shake the characters, for smart people they would do stupid things or be in the wrong circumstance and because of this it frustrated me no end. I wanted to yell at them to wisen up.
Rose decided to cross the continent and follow her heart but what she found was someone who was a nasty human being. On the plus side she found someone who may just fill her heart.
Matthew is still reeling from his last relationship and how he is perceived in the limelight. But when one sassy beautiful woman comes to stay, he can’t help but hope for more.

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book One) by Via Mari 5-Stars
Wayward is the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. It takes place during the same time as the Torzial Affair series. It features Jay and Sasha as the main characters. Once again this author amazes me with how action packed and easy to follow her storyline is. I loved the steamy scenes as well. I loved learning about Sasha and her background. I cant imagine the heartache she felt from her father not claiming her and trying to kill her. This was such a wonderful book and I cant wait to read more in this series.

In Wayward, the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by author Via Mari we are taken back into the world built in the Prestian series and the Torzial Affair. This time around it’s Jay, the head of security for Chase and Brian, and Russian ballerina, Sasha, whom we met in the earlier Torzial books. Once again, the main characters find themselves in situations that are both gripping and suspenseful and lend to the page turning action of situations that may not always be as they initially seem. While this can be read as a standalone, I believe that it would be better to be read after the other two series. I really enjoyed this story, I liked Jay and how he was so in awe of Sasha from the beginning. I admired Sasha for her strength and determination throughout the story and that’s saying a lot since I really didn’t like her in the Torzial books. I look forward to the next book to see what is going to happen next to these intriguing characters.

The Matchmaker’s Match (Man’s Best Friend Book 3) by Nicole Flockton is a fun contemporary romance and another great addition to the series. It can also be read as a standalone. The characters are fully developed and are fun and oh so hot, the air was sizzling when they were around each other. They each had things from their past they had to work through and things as a couple but it is such a sweet and interesting read that I read it all in one sitting.
Meredith has just come face to face with the man she never thought she would see again and one that has been relived in her fantasies, but here he is at her best friends wedding.
Linc has returned home after plans fell through. Now he has to rethink his long term goals and apparently that just may include the one woman he can’t get out of his mind and never ever thought would be in his life, but fate might just have other plans.
I highly recommend this book and this series. You know you want to.

Sasha Koslov is a Ballerina from Russia. She is talented as well as a strong willed woman. When she finds herself in trouble, in comes Jay the head honcho with an elite security team. Not where he was supposed to be, Jay takes the woman and offers her protection. He really has no clue who she is, until trouble comes knocking at his door.
Via Mari has done it again. This story is a quick read. Only because once you start, you can’t put it down. It is full of action as well as a great romance story. I love her characters!! Jay and Sasha are both trying not to fall for the other. This story did not end like I had anticipated, I was wrong every time I thought I knew what would happen, I was wrong. I LOVE this series. Not for those under 18 due to adult theme.

Wayward by Via Mari was a great fast-paced story in a world that will have you turning the pages just to know what happens next. Jay is a bodyguard who works for Chase (Prestian Series) to protect Brian Carrington. After meeting Sasha for the first time, she is all Jay can thinking instead of doing his job. Sasha is a Russian ballerina who has ties to the mafia; she also thinks she’s unlovable. Can Jay make her see that he will do anything for her and love her the way she is meant to be? If you haven’t read Via’s other series, that’s okay each series can be read as standalone. But I recommend that you go read them.

Wayward is the first of Via Mari’s newest series, the Billionaire Bodyguards. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading anything from Ms. Mari, a little note, this is the spin-off series to her previously released Prestien Series and has some of the fabulous characters that came from them present. I don’t think its necessarily necessary to read those novels first, but I truly think that it enhanced my enjoyment and just made me even more of a fan of these fab people. I don’t think you would be disappointed one bit if you started from the beginning.
Now in this book we get the hot and steamy back stories of Jay and Sasha. I really grew to adore Sasha. Admittedly, I was skeptical that I could like her just based off of her character portrayal in previous novels, but man did Via Mari turned my opinion around right away. I truly love each of the backdrops and the way that Via makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters and enjoying each lavish scene around them right at the same time. Her writing is still strong, detailed, and gripping, only growing stronger with each book. I can’t wait to see what will come next for these fabulous characters that I have grown to love so much! Thanks for this fabulous read Ms. Mari!

Is her past to much for Jay to overcome? Can these two have a future together? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Wayward by Via Mari is the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards Series. This book is full of drama and intrigue. It will have you hooked from the start and does not let go! Via Mari is a relatively new author to me but is one that I have already become hooked on. And this book is probably the best so far. I loved everything this book had going on. Right from the start I knew I was going to be in for a ride. The book had loads of drama. You could feel the tension and the chemistry between the characters. In the best way possible I honestly felt like I didn’t know what was going on or what was going to happen. This author keeps you on the edge of your seat and firmly behind the characters. Which is amazing given that I didn’t really care much either way about Sasha in the Torzial Affair. This was a brilliant book and a great way to start a new series.

Wayward is hands down the BEST book that I have read this year! I was hooked from beginning to end with this thrilling and exciting dark mafia read! It had everything I love in a story and more! I was swept along with the characters story and also to all of the places their story took me! The authors writing was beautifully detailed, I could imagine all of the places she was describing. I did feel like I really knew the main characters Jay and Sasha and I was so invested in their story from the past to the present to their future. I have read quite a few books by this author and she never fails to bring me a story that I love but I can honestly say that this one is absolutely my favourite of hers – it was simply an outstanding read! It has gotten me very excited for what’s to come from the series and I cannot wait!!

I love reading Via Mari’s billionaire stories. First there was The Prestian Series, then The Torzial Affair and now The Billionaire Bodyguards! While I have not read The Prestian Series (yet), I loved the Torzial Affair. The three series mix a little with the characters. You don’t have to read one to understand the others but it sure helps and Mari’s writing style makes you WANT to read every word she writes!
Wayward is about Sasha and Jay. Sasha is a little lost and well “wayward”. But with the help of Jay she is able to figure out her own worth and eventually understands that she is not all on her own. I love the inter-connecting of the story lines and characters. Not only do you get to “meet” new ones but you get to reconnect with old ones.
Looking forward to who’s next in the Billionaire Bodyguards series!
