This book is written by a new author to me. I was intrigued first by the cover and then by the title. Who wouldn’t love eating Christmas cookies on a cruise ship? I know that I would. I’m glad I picked this book up to read. It was so funny and romantic and honestly not what I was quite expecting it to be. As someone that has never been on a cruise ship she certainly has me wanting to go on one. Especially during the holidays. It is clean and wholesome so I would recommend reading it with a teenage daughter if you have one and she is into romantic comedy books. I would like to see this made into a Hallmark or Lifetime Channel movie. I can already picture myself cuddled up on the couch with some hot chocolate and my blanket watching it. Highly recommended book by me.

Come Back Tomorrow, the first book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent, was a great read. I really enjoyed the flow of this book. It catches your attention right away and you really want to see the friendship develop between the main characters. Tori is a psychologist working at a hospital. As part of her job, she keeps company with terminally ill patients at the hospital who don’t have family or anyone to talk to. Will is dying. He has terminal cancer, and he is all alone, and he also has a DNR on his file. Tori wants, needs, to find out why he has given up on his life. She arrives at his room and slowly they start to chat. At first Will doesn’t understand why she would even want anything to do with him. But every day she asks him “Can I come back tomorrow” and he says sure. Then the question is asked to Tori, but will that be enough for her to have helped him? I loved the way the author wrote this book. It was a hard to put down read because I always wanted to know what they were going to talk about next time and how their relationship would grow. But I would prepare yourself with tissues because this read is a rollercoaster ride! If you enjoy a good contemporary romance like this, you’ll enjoy this book! I cannot wait to read the second one!

I am the type of girl that will watch, and replay all Hallmark and Netflix Christmas movies, over and over, all year long. I love the tingly feeling I get all over as my body is covered in goosebumps, and my heart goes pitter patter like you wouldn’t believe. For this reason, I love reading romantic Christmas/Holiday based novels too. My family knows to either buy me those, or care packages that make for the ultimate reading experience. This novella ‘A Sweet Christmas’ by Nicole Richard gave me the same feeling deep inside as all those movies do. I couldn’t put it down. Not only did the energy sizzle between Thea and Ben, but the selflessness and love that was emitted by both characters swept me off my feet.
Their relationship was a whirlwind romance, and as with all romances, there are hurdles to overcome as well. The importance of these hurdles is to experience them with your partner and know that they are there for you through thick and thin. These two could overcome any obstacle that is thrown at them, and being that they are both very family oriented, these two are destined for the stars. I was sad when their story came to an end, but it will be on my list of books to read (or reread) moving through the holidays I very much look forward to reading more by Ms. Richard. Highly recommend!
A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richard is a fun and light-hearted Romance Book. If you love steamy Christmas stories than this is the book for you! Thea and Mr. Benjamin Sweet bring the steaminess to their relationship! All it took was Mr. Benjamin Sweet to walk into Thea’s bakery last minute to buy some cakes for an event he was going to for this relationship to take off and sky rocket into the Christmas Spirit. I love how Ben’s family takes Thea and her brother Matt in during Christmas time. Ben shows us that Chivalry isn’t dead. And the end was absolutely to die for I was so excited at the end I couldn’t stop smiling. I love that it was a quick and easy read. But, let’s be honest we all want a second one because I need to know if Matt and Will end up back together and If Jules Thea best friend is pregnant! Nicole Richard leaves the book open for a possible Christmas add on to it.

I usually steer clear of books like this. I hate getting attached to a character only to have something happen to them but there was something that grabbed me so I had no choice but to read it and I’m so glad that I did.
I understood from the very beginning what Tori learns to see in Will. Under his gruff exterior I feel he was scared and alone. It took some time for that shell he had to get cracked.
Tori has an amazing gift and I don’t know how she does it time after time. It takes a very special person to spend time with someone who is coming to the end of their life and alone.
I cannot wait to get the next book started and find out how everything turns out.

The narrator of this story is a practicing psychologist who loves her job helping people to work through their grief either as someone who las lost someone, or someone who is about to die, but sometimes she takes the time to befriend someone who is terminally ill, but has no other visitors, however, after the last couple, she has decided to take a break from it, however, when her friend tells her she is needed to befriend someone again, she agrees to at least go and see them.
As she makes her way to the Oncology floor, she is thinking about who she is expecting to see, he is called William Everson Jr and he is young, only in his late twenties, but what she sees when she goes into his room for the first time isn’t what she is expecting at all, in fact, he is gorgeous and doesn’t look ill in the slightest. She soon realises that the happy, smiling, young man is actually high on morphine, so she overcomes the shock of her first impressions and asks if she can “Come back tomorrow” and see him again, he agrees and then she leaves.
The next day when she arrives, she meets a completely different person and this one doesn’t want to talk to her at all and just wants to give up the fight to live completely, however, she stays and talks to him about herself, she asks the same question and he reluctantly says yes. As the days pass and the two spend a couple of hours together every day, the two become closer until it is him that starts to say “Will you come back tomorrow?” and this is where everything changes. What will happen between the two as William’s illness takes more of a hold and fluctuates between highs and lows and will he change his outlook on life and death? This is an emotional rollercoaster of a book which will take you on highs and lows as you feel your way through the decisions one young man has to make and see what life is like from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have much of one left.

This story took me on an emotional roller-coaster. This book is not for the faint of heart. This was heart wrenching as well as heart warming. You will definitely need to have a box of tissues near when you read this. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am glad I took the chance because the author sucked me into the story and the lives of the characters. The struggles Will goes through while battling this awful disease was hard to read. I am glad that Tori was there with him and brought up the good feelings I needed to feel in a sea of sadness.This book leaves us on a cliffhanger but it is one of hope. I look forward to engrossing myself in the next book. This is a must read.

Born to Fall completely exceeded my expectations! This is the second book of the Can’t Resist You series, a series that cannot be read out of order, so if you haven’t read book 1, please do so first!
This book, just like the first, was so intense and action-packed. The push and pull of the two main characters, along with the dystopian storyline had me fully captivated the whole way through. As soon as I started it, I knew I was in for a treat, and I ended up reading it in one sitting as all of the detail the author wrote with had me fully immersed in the story and unable to put it down. I also loved the many different POV’s, it made the story feel really well rounded!
If you are looking for your next dystopian read look no further this is the series for you!

Come Back Tomorrow is the first book I’ve read by Amy Argent and I look forward to reading more in this series. While the storyline was raw and emotional ( not unlike I was expecting) it was really well written and engaging. I think when I got into this book I was anticipating a companionship less like a romantic relationship. While this story did not play out like I was anticipating, the characters were as heartwarming and relatable as I had hoped. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that wants to read something resembling an emotional roller coaster (in all the best ways). This was a great start to a new to me series and a greater introduction to a new to me, author.

This whole book had me on the verge of tears. It really proves that love does not discriminate. Tori has strength to endure being with Will through all his up and downs. I cannot wait to read book two. I wonder if the story will go how I think or completely surprise me.

Joe Grace and his brother Dylan along with close friends Mox and Tyler formed the band Gracefall and have been playing gigs for years but have finally landed a headlining tour. Melody is Joe’s childhood best friend whom he suddenly finds himself developing feelings for. The characters are well built and multi dimensional. Some characters are easy to relate to and love, while others are easy to dislike. The conversations and situations are very believable and not predictable. From beginning to end, this book had me entertained. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I even got angry! This book has wonderful character development and a believable storyline and struggles. I found myself rooting for Joe and Melody and cheered them on at each gain. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for love, laughs and rock and roll.

A very engaging book that I really enjoyed. This is my first time reading anything by Stephanie Harrell, and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Harper and Lincoln are relatable characters, and their love story is believable and interesting. Harper is a fuller-figured woman and Lincoln is a conventionally handsome movie star, and I thought the theme of this was handled really well. Harper feels like he can’t possibly be attracted to her body as much as he might a slender movie starlet’s, and this impacts some of her decisions and fears in the book. Her growth as a character involves, in part, her coming to terms with her insecurities and how she wants to move forward with Lincoln and his very public career. I appreciate the depth of the story for elements like this, rather than a simple surface-level work. I would happily check out other books by Stephanie Harrell.

The story idea behind this book is very solid. But, the way it’s transcribed is a little confusing. This book would make for a great Christmas movie on Hallmark and has the same “too good to be true” Hallmark cuteness. However, the part of how Olivia meets Jace would’ve worked better for me if she had just described her soulmate instead of knowing his actual name. That would’ve helped make the story seem a little more realistic and helped it flow a little better. Nonetheless, this book is a clean, easy to read book that makes me want to snuggle up in a blanket with hot chocolate.

This is the fourth book in the Default Distraction. This is an amazing author that can pin an amazing story that talks about real problems not fake. I have read a few of this authors books and her books just get better. The characters are well written and amazing the love the little quirks these characters have.
We met Luke in the other three books. Luke was born with nothing he fought his way to the top until he almost lost himself and everything he has fought for. Now he his fighting for not just himself but for his daughter’s sake. So here they are in another country opening a hotel. Now he has hired a nanny names Nikki and she is perfect for her but even more perfect for Luke. But Luke learned from his mistakes he can’t do relationships. Can Luke overcome his demons? Will Luke give in and let Nikki into his heart and life or will he walk away?

My emotions were not ready for the story of Tori and WIll. Tori is a psychologist who spends her extra time comforting terminal patients who are without family and friends. Will is a cancer patient who is determined to die alone. When Tori’s best friend Jenny asks her to meet Will, Tori has no idea what is in store for her. The characters of this story are so beautifully complex. Tori carries some past experiences that make her determined to help those on their deathbed, even if they don’t want the help. She believes in the strength of friendship to help others find peace. Will is stubborn and hurt, afraid of being a burden. He thinks the best choice is to die alone. Slowly, Tori starts to work her way into conversation with him and they soon find a connection.
There are so many realistic and relatable aspects to this story. The pain people go through at the expense of cancer is real. This story shines a light, not only on the feelings of the person that is ill, but the ones that care for them as well. The emotions are so raw I couldn’t hold back tears. I cried, I laughed, I was completely enveloped in the world of Tori and WIll. This is my first Amy Argent book but certainly will noy be my last. I am ready for more, I MUST know what comes next. I will definitely be reading book two!

If you love Hallmark Christmas movies with Elf-style magic, this is probably the book for you. While the story was written well, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Off to a good start, Olivia is an easy character to relate to; she decides a cruise is a better way to spend the holidays after her former love interest gets engaged to her twin sister, the sexy supermodel. Her first day aboard Serendipity, she seems relaxed and ready to enjoy her holiday, but also sad and lonely as she notices all the families and couples aboard the ship.
Everything kind of just takes an unrealistic/unrelatable turn from there. Santa and Mrs. Claus end up dining with her, but they’re the real Clauses who share a whole backstory about being from Christmas, Michigan, and running an organic Christmas tree farm; they also spend the off-season in a retirement community in Florida and “play” Santa and Mrs. Claus aboard the Serendipity cruise.
After a few too many drinks at dinner, Olivia is basically transported into a make-believe sounding world of Christmas spirit and cheer, where she instantly falls in love with a man who just so happens to have the same name as the hero in the romance story she’s writing. As if that isn’t a tall order to fill, the real-life man is an American hero Navy SEAL, Jace, who happens to have dated Olivia’s sister and turned HER down after a few dates, which of course, boosts Olivia’s flailing self-esteem and confidence in her own romantic prowess. Jace’s friends are aboard the cruise, as well, and instantly welcome Olivia into their tight-nit circle as though she’s been there all along, completely accepting that the two lovebirds really did fall in love overnight. By the end of the week-long cruise, filled with gingerbread house building and wrapping gifts for orphans, everyone’s ready for happily ever after. The book continues beyond that point to give readers a glance at what that looks like for the couple.
It really is a sickly sweet romance story without any sordid love scenes (perfectly PG). It is nice to see Olivia transform from insecure to self-assured, and the other character’s supporting roles in that transformation. The older passengers she dined with the first night of the cruise added some humor and sass throughout the story.
Aside from feeling completely unrealistic and a super fast timeline for two people to just fall in love, it was a cute story. I could see my mom, who lives for Hallmark Christmas movies, totally enjoying this book.

I loved Luke’s story, it was touching and heartbreaking all at the same time, and I loved getting to know him on a deeper level, he was definitely the perfect swoon worthy character. Nikki and Luke’s chemistry could be felt through the pages and I enjoyed how fast their relationship progressed and I of course loved the way that their story played out. I cannot wait to read more from this author asap!! This is a series you won’t want to miss!

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer is book two in the Curvy Ever After series by Stephanie Harrell. This is a romance with a fairy tale twist. This story intrigued, from the creative and eye catching series name, to the blurb. Another exciting element was the newness of this author. I had never sampled her work. But I was ready do jump in, no questions asked. These characters were believable, endearing and entertaining. A chance meeting, an amazing weekend together and the cherry on top was a life changing surprise. Intriguing right?? It sucked me in, hook, line and sinker. Harper and Lincoln are complete opposites, but the animal attraction that exists between them is extremely arousing and sets the heart fluttering and the pulse racing. I completely devoured this story. Loved the way the author portrayed each characters. Loved learning all their little quirks and what makes them tick. Sexy and soothing to the soul. A real page turner. A fantastic escape. 5 stars.

This is the perfect romance to put you in a holiday frame of mind. I could almost smell cinnamon sticks and pumpkin pie, see lights twinkling and snow falling. Liberty and Sawyer appear to be complete opposites on the surface but they quickly feel a connection between them that grows by the minute. It was pure magic seeing the way that Sawyer lit up as he interacted with Liberty and her family as they enjoyed holiday festivities together. There is also such a beautiful twist in this story that really lets you peek into the true heart of Sawyer and see why these two are absolutely meant to be together!

This is the first of the Default Distraction books I have read but am adding the first three books to my TBR list so I can get to know all the guys in the band better. This is Luke and Nikki’s story. He is a single father to a precious four-year-old daughter. Their back story is very moving but am so proud of Luke and the band for being family to each other and rising above what life has thrown at them. Nikki is a nanny, who had a teenage crush on Luke, who is in her favorite band. When she interviews to be a nanny for his daughter, she has a hard time not being that fangirl. Can Nikki be perfect for Luke and his daughter? Or will she stay just the nanny? I really enjoyed this book and all the characters and how they connect to each other. I find that I love a good book that shows people having each other’s backs through thick and thin.

So I absolutely love, love Christmas. It is by far my fave holiday. So with that being said I most certainly love stories that take place on or near Christmas Time. Also, I know I may have read out of order, since it is book four in it’s series. But it very well may be read as a standalone. This is a first time read by the author for me as well. It will NOT be my last either! Loved Snowflakes & Stockings sooo much. Once started reading could not set aside until I read it ALL! It was truly such a sweet heartwarming, small town romance. Another of my faves! Now I sooo have to go back and read books one through three!!
This book was such a sweet Christmas Hallmark Movie in the making! Liberty Johnson is a reporter who has been working on a piece for a few years now. She is looking for a Secret Santa Claus who has been donating millions of dollars worth of presents for families in Maine who deserve a true Merry Christmas. When she narrowed down her choices, she came down to a young millionaire named Sawyer Campbell. Ever since they met for a quick interview, they have been seeing more of each other closer to the holidays. There is love, family, and friendship in this story that deserves it all!
This book made me feel all the sappy emotions! This is such a cozy snuggle by the Christmas tree read. Love always grows in unlikely places and this pair is no different. Highly recommend for those who like romantic happy endings. Book 4 in the series of Wilton Hills series

Baby/pregnancy romance can definitely be a guilty pleasure! This book is no different! I wish I could go back and read book 1 of Stephanie Harrell’s Curvy Ever After series, but that’s just me! It’s definitely not necessary! Surprise Baby for Mr.Fischer can definitely hold its own. Harper, the baby of seven girls in her family, meets Kade when he thinks he’s saving her from drowning. Which leads to a wonderful weekend spent together and I’m sure you can guess the outcome. What Harper doesn’t know is that Kade is his middle name and that Lincoln Erickson is a rising star in Hollywood. Harper lives under a rock with her love for antiques; she doesn’t have time to keep up with celebrities. Lincoln never thought a wonderful weekend would leave him longing to see her again. Heading into the holiday season this book is about the adventures ahead for Lincoln and Harper as they navigate what they feel, their impending child, and Lincoln’s fame. Harper who’s stubborn as a mule and doesn’t make it easy(also very frustrating, I wanted to jump into the story and scream at her.) Lincoln wants to give her everything and then some, but will she ever be able to handle and accept it? I guess you’ll have to read and find out. A sweet romance set in Rhode Island is what dreams are made of!

Okay… wow! I took a few days after reading this wonderful story to gather my thoughts and emotionally heal. Overall, I am giving this book 5/5 stars. Amy Argent’s “Come Back Tomorrow” is beautiful and gave me all of the feels including tears, awe, anger, happiness, and love (in no specific order). This story of fighting cancer gave me a new perspective on what patients go through as they decide to forgo medicine and how their pain can impact friends, family members, and partners. I am looking forward to, and hopefully not crying through, book 2.

This was a funny romance. First off, thank you for the eye candy on the front cover. Yum! Second, it was such a wonderful experience to read a romance about a curvy woman. The story caught me from the beginning with ocean mishap and just kept going from there. It felt real and like it could be happening. The flow was smooth. I loved all the characters. They felt like people you might now and relate to. Just a really great story that you find yourself chuckling through. A quick read that you should definitely pick up and put on your reading list. I am recommending it to everyone.

I love Christmas and romance so put the two together and its magical. Olivia’s sister Jane sounds like a real witch. I don’t understand how any sister can one, feel like they are better than their sister and two, steal away that sister’s boyfriend, it makes me so furious. I like how Olivia just said screw it and booked a cruise instead of spending the holiday with her sister and seeing her ex, awkward. The way she meets Jace is so crazy, how did a man that she wrote on paper become real. I felt like their relationship moved too fast in a short amount of time, but that could also be “Santa” working his “Christmas magic” they seem perfect for each other, and I really like seeing Jace in love with Olivia while caring nothing about Jane. The pace of this book is nice and steady. The twist on what happens to Jane is nice, and the issue between Jace and Olivia is fun to watch. I really enjoyed reading this couple’s story.
