Cade Dawkins is an investigator for the state patrol based in Minnesota and when he gets an early morning phone call, he knows it is bad news, however, when it is an early morning phone call for a one vehicle RTA and it is from someone who is top notch at investigating them, then he knows something is really wrong. When he arrives at the scene and sees that it is an attractive blonde who’s clothes and seatbelt marks with an open seatbelt suggests that something else might be going on, especially when a reflective dot and questionable physical damage to the car. When he gets back to the station, he sees that the other investigator is in and asks about his current case which has remarkable similarities to his current ones and from there, a pattern emerges which is undeniable, this combined with the media being tipped off about the case by an unknown source leads to the case getting more political attention than it needs.
As the days go on and no leads have come in to move the investigation forward, another blonde is found in questionable circumstances again and the pressure to solve the case increases, however the killer is not giving up his agenda and when Cade works out that this isn’t just a simple serial killer, he realises that it might be more of a game and that he is the one being played, but will he be able to solve the mystery before either more bodies turn up or he becomes one of them? This is a thrilling crime novel which will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat until the conclusion.
