This is the first book I’ve read from author Megan Mitcham, first in this series as well. I liked this book so much. It was a little slow going at first but i still couldn’t put it down. Loved the characters (Darren is my favorite!! Love him) This book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more with every turn. I may have not read any Megan Mitcham before but I will absolutely read everything she writes from now on. This story introduces Larkin, she’s our independent self made corporate business woman. She doesn’t take crap from anyone and doesn’t have time for any relationship besides her “girls”. We also get to meet Lucas, head of security. Douglas, her awesome and sweet driver and of course the girls, just to name a few. Find out in this story about how Larkin deals with everyone thinking they know best for her, and who’s out to get her!

Who: A Stalker Series novel is the first book in a new series by Megan Mitcham. It is a fantastic psychological thriller that will grip you hard from the very beginning and keep you on the edge of your seat as it takes you through every emotion possible and throw so many twists and turns at you that you won’t know which way to look. Megan Mitcham is a new author to me and I really wish I had found her before as if this book is any guide as to the quality of her writing then I really can’t wait to read more of her work. I love a good psychological thriller and as this series is concerning stalkers then this is going to be one hell of a good series. This particular book is about Larkin Ashford, a billionaire business woman considering making her business public when she starts to receive threats…very serious threats. It’s kind of hard to write about the plot of this book without giving spoilers, so I’m not going to go into the plot of the story. What I can say is that it’s a fantastic story. It has many humerous parts too as well as the intrigue and suspense. When Larkin and her girlfriends get together some of their conversation will make you laugh. No subject is off the table, these ladies will discuss anything! There is also a romantic element to the story too, with the elusive Calder Beckett coming into Larkin’s life. Not going to say too much about him except he’s the first man in a long time to get into Larkin’s head (and possibly heart). This is a must read novel and I really can’t wait to read more in this series. Worth more than 5 stars.

Hail Mary is a fantastic romantic thriller by Hope Anika. I had never read any of this author’s work before this book and I’m so glad that I chose to read it as it’s worth more than 5 stars in my humble opinion. The 2 main characters are absolutely brilliant. Wynn has had a rough upbringing and now runs a farm and a rundown boarding house. She’s one feisty woman I’d definitely not want to get on the wrong side of. She takes no prisoners and will fight to the death for those she loves. Beau is the new sheriff in town. A job he didn’t really want but was pushed into by his aunt. Beau is ex-military and DEA and has a lot of baggage from his past. He was badly injured and his wife was killed by someone Beau was investigating while working at the DEA. He’s moody, arrogant and a woman is the last thing on his mind. That is until a bank robbery leads him to Wynn’s boarding house and then a serial killer from the past comes back. So much for an easy job being a sheriff in a small town! The interaction between Wynn and Beau are actually hilarious. She does nothing to hide her distrust for the law and he gives back as good as he gets. What is fantastic about this book is the plot. The suspense and intrigue grabs you and does not let you go. At times you hold your breath and have to remind yourself to breathe again. Just when you start to think you might have it sussed out, the story twists and you find it going in a different direction. I have to say that I would never have sussed out who was the killer. You really have to give this book a try. It will not disappoint.

This was a fantastic read! I love a good romantic suspense story and I have read books by this author before so when I saw this one I knew I had to grab it! Once I started the first page I knew it was going to be a good read and I was not wrong – I was hooked from the very first page until the end. I loved Beau and Wynn – they were both fantastic characters. I really felt for Beau and the author did a great job with his character, he was miserable and grumpy on the outside but underneath was something different. Wynn was great to read about – she was headstrong and full of sass! She was so entertaining. The tension between the two characters was so much fun to read about and it made me want them to end up together all the more! Along with Beau and Wynn there were some amazing secondary characters that really added something extra to the story. I 100% recommend Hail Mary and I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

Billionaire Larkin Ashford is wildly independent as she’s made her fortune on brides: Her own company’s board of directors want to tame her as they ask her to take it down a notch. To add a thorn in her side, she is getting threatening messages. As she takes a breather atop her roof, a mysterious man imprisons her in his strong arms saving her from herself. All Larkin can think about is this man’s physique as her friends warn against it, thinking he’s a stalker. Searching the city for this mysterious man, Larkin discovers a secret, it could halt her success. Attempting to save her empire and her own life, she has to uncover the truth. This book had my heart racing following the mystery of this psychological thriller. It also provides wonderful characters with steamy scenes to keep your heart racing. Why is the highly anticipated second book in the Stalker Series by Megan Mitcham. After reading the first riveting book, “Who”, and loving it so much- I really had very high expectations for this story. I wondered if Ms. Mitcham would be able to even match, let alone surpass, the sheer brilliance of book one. But, I really shouldn’t have doubted her though, because this book is every bit as good as the first- and I am having trouble picking my favourite out of the two. It’s so intense, compelling, and clever. Colour me hooked on this series now, it’s that addictive! I will be expectantly waiting for the rest of the series to release- ready to pounce as soon as they do! The book/s could be read as standalones, but as each book focuses on an individual from a great group of very close friends, I really recommend reading book one before starting on this one. As I said earlier, book one is such a riveting psychological thriller, it’s a story that deserves reading in its own right- but it also introduces us to the recurring characters, and also knowing what happens in book one will only enhance your reading experience of this story. “Why” follows Genevieve Holst, who we met in book #1. She’s a formidable attorney, who has just successfully represented her boss, clearing him of murder charges, after he was accused of killing his wife and two young children. He’s not just her boss, but also a friend and mentor. She had to do what she could to help clear his name as there was no way he could be guilty of such a heinous crime. Right? But no sooner had the ink dried on his release papers, he began tweaking her suspicion. Did he actually kill his family? Did she help to free a killer? And this is where this wonderfully suspenseful story really takes flight… The story is a very steamy and suspenseful crime thriller that’s packed full of intrigue, dramatic developments, mystery, tension, danger, and plenty of action. As with the first book, the intensity, suspense and dramatic effects were so well developed, cleverly crafted, and entirely compelling. It was so engrossing and easy to lose myself in the story (in the best possible way) that I found myself devouring the pages, completely caught up in the exciting developments and trying to figure out what would happen next. It was so deftly woven- and is a true testament to Ms. Mitcham’s writing prowess. I am eagerly anticipating the next instalment- “How” (Book #3) – FBI Agent Libby Irish’s story.

Die For Me by Diane Hester is quite a well woven, multilayered psychological suspense. The gripping nature of the story kept me avidly reading well past my bedtime, as I really needed to know how everything would end. Out for a jog on a cold winter’s evening, Lauren could never have predicted the cost her short-cut would incur. Guilt drives her to try and make amends. But things soon take a strange and sinister turn. There is more going on than meets the eye- and the psychological creepiness of the story takes hold. This is my first read by Diane Hester, so I really wasn’t sure of what to expect from her story. But I do love a gripping story and because the blurb had me so intrigued I quickly pounced on a copy and started reading right away. Diane Hester has proved to be a clever storyteller, producing a well written, detailed and descriptive read. There are several threads to the story which gives her work an extra element of surprise. Things are not what they appear, and my mind was whirling with all the possible scenarios. I though the way everything came together was well thought out- and gave me a taste for Diane Hester’s stories, so I will definitely be going back to read the rest of her books now, too.

Hail Mary by Hope Anika. This was a great book! Its the story of Wynn Owens who is a strong, independent, take no crap woman. She is a ex con, trying to be a respectable citizen and being a decent landlord. When one of her elderly residents is questioned in a recent bank robbery she meets ex DEA agent turned Sheriff Beau Greystone who comes snooping around. She has nothing nice to say to him but she does think he’s hot! Beau is still trying to put his life back together after a horrible explosion murdered his wife and left him with a bad injury. He’s not supposed to think a woman is sexy but he does. The sparks are obvious but they are both hard headed enough to not do anything about it. Beau has been checked out for the most part since the murder but trying to solve this robbery might be the thing to get him back in the game and on top of that there is a killer that is back in Blossom Hill. Will he catch the killer before another murder happens and will Beau and Wynn let go of their pasts long enough to see if they have real feelings for each other? This is a awesome book that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I loved it!

Hail Mary by Hope Anika is an entertaining and fast paced story with some fantastic characters to go along with it. Beau and Wynn are those type of characters that absolutely compliment each other. The chemistry between them combined with the back and forth is done so well. I laughed with them, I was on the edge of my seat with them. They are characters you cannot help but connect with. The story was action packed and fast paced. It definitely keeps you the in the pages!! This is one of only a few books I have read by this author but it definitely cements the fact that I can’t wait to read more of her work.

I LOVED this book! The storyline is so good! I didn’t want to put this one down! It’s smooth and flows along very effortlessly. Then there are the wonderful characters. The author is able to bring these characters to life with words. I could picture them and what they were doing easily. It is such a delight!
I enjoyed seeing a “tells it’s like it is” woman. She is strong self-assured and knows that she can do things herself. Then we meet the cantankerous sheriff. He has pain hidden deep and would like nothing more than to fade into the woodwork. But once he gets threatened with a wrench, from a “little spitfire”, he starts to wonder about his life. That’s when the fun starts. The tension between these two is just rolling off the pages! Their antics are like watching a movie in my head! Then there is the back and forth angry, desperate conversations. I can’t help but enjoy reading those. How she challenges him and how he frustrates her.
All of the secondary characters (and there is a lot) are delightful as well. They all add to the story. I loved each of their issues and how they tried to deal with them. My favorite thing was the tenants of the boarding house were mostly elderly. They All have interesting personas and reasons for being there.
This is a suspenseful story with a side of romance. I really enjoyed reading this and I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this book! The best was HIM. He is just so SEXY and alpha. Some of the things he says….I loved it! The second best is the stalker story. I really struggled most of the book to figure it out. There are also other lines of suspense that filter in throughout the story. I did struggle at times with the wording placement and the beginning seemed dry. The main character, Larkin, at times was strong and others I just didn’t understand her. She seemed so stiff and unlikable. Slowly she gained and became more than just her tears and being afraid. This story did really pick up its pace in the middle and towards the end.
This is my first book by this author. Overall it’s a good story. It has elements that are enjoyable as well as unknown. I will look into Why, her next in the series

Why (Stalker Series Book 2) By Megan Mitcham 5 out of 5 stars
The story Why (Stalker Series Book 2) by Megan Mitcham is a book that is thrilling and suspenseful. It pulled me in right from the start and didn’t let me go until the final page. It has danger, a little romance, and mystery. I loved the character of Genevieve Holst. She is an attorney who lives for putting the bad guys behind bars. When her boss and mentor is accused of murder, she defends Perry when no one else would. After her victory, she begins to uncover information and situations that raise questions. What will Genevieve discover? Does she know her boss and mentor as well as she thinks? What could happen if Perry finds out that she is following his every move? Read this book to find out. Genevieve is a woman who is strong, confident, and independent. She gives her all when she has a cause or case, she believes in. She is not one to give up easily. She is a likable character whom you want to root for. I also loved reading about the characters that interact with her. She has strong friendships and is liked by those she works with. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with Genevieve in her investigation. There are times when I had to remind myself to breathe. This is a book that will have you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend reading it.

Who, is the first standalone novel in a new “pulse-pounding psychological thriller series”, by Megan Mitcham. Featuring a fiercely independent and headstrong women in Billionaire Larkin Ashford it also contains a thrilling plot line, steamy chemistry and twists you definitely won’t see coming. It is a romantic psychological thriller full of suspense and I was gripped from page one. Larkin has built a successful fashion empire but it’s been built on bribes and when she starts receiving threatening messages she retreats to her rooftop hideaway where a mysterious and handsome man believing she is about to jump, rescues her. Larkin can not ignore the chemistry between them, and it sizzles of the page, however her friends warn her that he could be her stalker. In searching for her mystery man she uncovers dark secrets which threaten her empire unless she can determine the truth. This is a fast paced psychological thriller with a great lead character in the sexy, sassy billionaire Larkin. The storyline had me hooked and the twists and turns kept me guessing until the end. I look forward to reading future books in Mitcham’s ‘Stalker’ series.

Hail Mary kept me enthralled until the very end. It s the first book that I have read from this author and definitely won’t be the last. Hope Anika is an excellent writer who can easily weave multiple plots into one captivating story. Filled with mystery, romance and characters you’ll fall in love with, this is a romantic thriller that you don’t want to miss.
Wynn is a snarky, independent woman who, given her past, doesn’t trust anyone. She owns a farm with a boarding house. Her tenants are all elderly and she cares for them as if they were family. Trying to keep her head above water, she cares for them the best that she can.
Beau is a former DEA agent. After getting seriously injured and losing his wife, he returns to the county and becomes the new sheriff. Realizing that the bank was robbed by one of Wynn’s tenants, he meets the headstrong and beautiful woman. Sparks fly and the chemistry is electric. Meanwhile a serial killer strikes again and shoots fear into the hearts of the people. Beau has his plate full all while trying to battle his demons.
The author managed to keep me guessing until the end. It’s not often that I can’t figure out who done it. The story captivated me with its unique characters, suspense and humour. I definitely recommend this book.

Let me catch my breath. This book had me on the edge of my seat, standing up, yelling at the kindle and totally shocked at times. If you want a good read that gets your mind going this would be a good one. Hope Anika has created a story that gets your adrenaline going. The characters are complex and engaging. The plot line twists and turns like a roller coaster, not to mention that the action is great. There is a bank robbery that small town sheriff Beau has to catch the robbers. Enter in Wynn who has her past with law enforcement, on the wrong side but hey that makes her character work. Let’s throw in a murder into the mix and the small time is needing answers. I highly recommend this book. You will have to see what Beau and Wynn find out about what the heck is going on.

This is the second book in this series and I loved it just as much as the first. This is a well written romance-suspense story that I had a hard time putting down. The twists and turns left me turning pages just waiting to see what would happen next. The characters brought the story to life and kept me engaged. Gen is an attorney that takes on a case she probably should not have. The case gives her the feeling that something isn’t right and she is left fighting for her life. She goes through alot but she is such a great character that it was great watching her. I loved the chemistry between Gen and the detective. I highly recommend reading this must read story to find out what happens with Gen and her case.

This psychological suspense book packs a punch. I love the psychological thriller genre. It gives me that deep thinking that makes my brain wanting more. Diane Hester is a new author to me but trust me when I said I am going to see what other books she has written. Her characters are complex, complicated, believable and mysterious. I read this book in one sitting but let me tell you that I left the light on while reading the book. This author kept me turning the pages faster and faster. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. What really makes this story excel for me is the realism. I can see this story come to life before my eyes. Lauren Donnelly on a winter morning was crossing a stream that was not frozen. That is when a man tried to assist her and fell through the ice. Lauren is trying to reach out to Ada Phelps, the daughter of the man who drowned, but things are not always what they seem. I highly recommend this book as it will give you the heebie-jebbies, what a great psychological suspense book will do in my humble opinion.

You’ll love to pick up this one if not for the action alone but the fact that it seems like a modern Western to me which makes this book an instant classic. At least in my humble opinion. Wynn Owens is a sarcastic ex-convict turned good or decent landlord. She gets vibes from one of her older tenants that he’s had something to do with robberies in the past. Sheriff Beau Greystone put his foot in his mouth as he has his imposing aunt to thank for his new position as sheriff. Beau’s wife recently passed but it’s also wounded not only his body but his heart as well. With all of that afloat, he’s checked out of the physical world and into his own world in his mind. The community of Blossom Hills needs him to step up as their sheriff and Beau is up to capture the robber — until a cold case killer has to be captured first to restore peace in the community. Beau and Wynn’s lives collide as she’s acquit a tenant and he’s about to capture a killer on the loose. Their world as they know it is about to be turned upside down as forces beyond their control change their perspectives as they know it. As the clock winds down, they have big decisions to make. Do they leave the darkness behind or embrace it for what it has become? The twists and turns keep you entertained in as the suspense builds in this story. This book was amazing!

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7) by Meghan O’Flynn. These books keep getting better. Once again this author pulled me in from page one and simply wouldn’t let me go. This author knows the way to keeping readers on the edge of our seats. I’m always guessing what’s next right up until the very end and I love every minute of it. Each twist and turn has me trying to turn the pages as fast as possible to see where we’d be going next. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and the plot had my head spinning more than once. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended. Can’t wait for more from this amazing author.
