This book was a spectacular read to me. I found myself very intrigued by the description, and the first chapter had me hooked. The author is very talented in her work, character development, and scenery depiction. I fell in love with our main character from the start, and as she transforms in the story I’m amazed at who she becomes. In her own investigation into the crimes, she reminds me of me, how I would be just as adamant about learning the truth, and protecting my friendships. It was indeed a mystical book, but seemed very realistic! It was a treat to read! I look forward to reading more from the author.

What a wonderful fantasy world! I had no expectations going into this book, I had never read anything by this author before. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was totally immersed from the start. It is reminiscent of other books I had read in the fantasy genre, but unique in its own way. The mystery kept unraveling, and the story was easy to follow. Jana was a great MC to follow, and there were several plot twists I did not see coming. Will definitely be looking for more from this author!

I absolutely adored this author and this story. I originally picked this book based on its cover, and when I started reading it I was amazed with the plot and amazing characters. The characters are so relatable, and lovable you just simply can’t resist them. Cate and Patti have been best friends forever, it haven’t seen each other for a while, what will happen when Cate shows up at Patti’s needing her best friends help? The girls have both been living with a secret since they were eighteen, will that secret haunt them or will they be able to let it go? Full of family, love, friendship, secrets, drama and more you won’t be able to put this book down.

I loved the detail in this book! From the first few words, the author had my attention and imagination in an almost poetic world. I normally keep away from YA, mostly because the detail fails to hold my attention, but this story proved to be food for my mind and kept me enraptured! What starts out as an adventure to the court soon turns to a complete one-eighty of what Adrijana once considered her life. Fantasy and mystery at its finest, set in a complex world where I feel just about anything is possible, if you’re still on the fence about reading this book, trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Reading the description of this book I had high hopes for it and it did not disappoint. The author does a great job of drawing you and keeping you in suspense. The characters felt well developed and relatable. I was completely off base with guessing what the event was driving them apart. Even after learning what it was there were still twists. It was a great read and I definitely stayed up too late to finish it!

This is an author I have read several books by, and I haven’t been disappointed by any of them yet. This was no different. In fact, I believe this was one of my top favorites if not THE TOP FAVORITE of all the books I’ve read from her. There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming at all. I didn’t want to put this book down. I am ready for a continuation of this story to be honest. She did an amazing job shaking up my emotions. But in a really good way! I can totally see this being made into a Hallmark Channel movie. If you love emotional stories of love and friendship then this is the book for you.

The only problem is they changed their lives for the better, but now they need to face what is coming. They have so much drama from one night that it’s crazy. Road Rage (OUTLAW, #4)Road Rage by Karina Kantas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book of the series but can be read as a standalone. There was a lot to unpack with this book but once you get sucked in you can’t help but keep reading! I couldn’t put it down.

Gem hasn’t had it easy but now she’s playing it safe. That is until she meets Shep and his MC. Everything is fine until it starts taking a turn for the worst. So much happens, it was hard to keep straight at first but you definitely get sucked in and have to keep reading to see how it plays out.

Gem is a great character. She is tough and you can’t help but root for her and her happiness. She’s an easy character to relate to. There are some tough subjects that are broached but I think the author did a very good job touching on them. I am definitely going to have to read the other books in the series.

Where do I even start with this? Reading this book was a rollercoaster of emotions and I want to ride it again and again! I absolutely adore Cate and Patti’s friendship, and their relationships with Cate’s dad and Patti’s mom. I love the romance and the love story, but I also kind of loved that it wasn’t the main point. I had so many ideas about what had actually happened on that night and I just had to keep reading so I knew for sure. All of the relationships were just so amazingly realistic and genuine and that’s my favorite part, because even with a HEA, it takes some work to get there. They say you can’t see a rainbow without rain and this story demonstrated that beautifully. I just really honestly loved every bit of this and will definitely be looking up all of this author’s other books.

This was a 5 star read that pulled me right in.
Cate knows it’s time to go home and face the consequences of something that happened twenty years ago. She reconnects with her best friend Patti who promises to be by her side. It was nice seeing them reminisce on their little road trip back home. I felt bad for some of the things they dealt with in their childhood. We get several twists and turns as we learn more about what happened their senior year. What will happen when the truth comes out?

Overall this was a great read. I really liked both characters, they were each other’s rock through good and bad times. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.

This was my first book by this author and it was okay. The storyline is very solid and I can see what the author was trying to do. However, the way it was written didn’t seem realistic to me for what took place in the book. The way the story is written doesn’t match the series of events being written about. I wish the characters conversation was more realistic to the events being talked about and the word building was stronger.

I was definitely intrigued when I read what this book was about. I wasn’t all to sure what I’d find in the pages or how I’d feel with the overall story, but I was definitely excited. And boy am I glad I got it. This story to me felt fresh and original and with how much I read I sometimes find it hard to find that but this author definitely knew this story need written. From page one I was drawn in and simply couldn’t put it down. The characters are complex and draw you so completely into their world that the real world has a way of disappearing for the time being. It’s a story full of fantasy and mystery that will keep you on your toes. Four big stars and highly recommended to all readers younger and older!

This was a twisted little tale full of secrets that threaten to destroy the lives of all of our characters. This was a nice view of how shame can truly rip through our lives. As I began reading this book I found myself reliving my high school days in the 90’s in the beginning. Then the more I read the more it brought back so many wonderful memories of friendship and good times…”together forever…and ever” throughout childhood as well!

I love how everything in the book was starting to happen and one of the main characters said, “When it’s meant to be, it’ll all fall into place. You won’t have to wonder. You’ll just know.” In saying this, by reading this novel I feel I am living the story in real time! What I’d give to go back in time! This book has become one of my favorites!!

Like life, this book will take you on so many roller coaster rides and I found myself not being able to put the book down. There were even a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming! It tells the story of friendship, love, trust, and faith! In my opinion, this is what makes a good book great!!

This is my first book by this author and I can say without a doubt I will be first in line for future releases. Having finished this book within a few hours this book is action packed from the first page to the very last page. Although it can be confusing with the book switching back and forth between Patti and Cate as well as past scenes and present ones, the author does a great job of integrating them so the reader does not get lost.

We start off with Cate having a major meltdown as a case from her past where she believes she killed a man is reopened by none other than the deceased son. Fully deciding to turn herself in so she does not take down her best friend Patti she simply wants to wait for her father to pass. Patti who ran away from everything she knew to keep her secrets hidden knows now she must return to help Cate see this through. The problem is everyone has their secrets and they have all been living with a portion of the past not knowing the full story. As secrets are unburied friendships and relationships will be tested. Can Patti and Cate’s friendship survive the unknown or will it be one more casualty from the past? If you enjoy mystery books full of suspense and twists then this book should be in your to be read pile.

Jessica Aiken-Hall has been my go-to author for mystery, suspenseful, fiction stories. I love her writing style. She uses the English language in such a poetic story-telling fashion that will have you sitting in your chair all cozy and yet feel like you are right in the book with the characters. Her characters are fully developed and believable. It is like you make friends and enemies with the characters in the book. In this story, we find Cate and Patti who. are friends that parted ways to protect one another. They went their separate ways because of a murder. There is a secret that they both need to keep. Does the past catch up to Cate and Patti? Will they stay apart to protect each other? I highly recommend this book to see what happens and if Cate and Patti reunite with one another or if they stay apart and hope their secrets do not come out.

I instantly fell in love with Cate and Pattie, both written so realistically that you felt as if you wanted to reach out and embrace or scold, or more really as you read the both of them. These two and their journey engulfed my soul for really for the day. I was consumed with how they would traverse some twists I won’t divulge and ended up reading this sucker in one day, #notsorry. I loved it! I was a little frustrated, I figured it out quickly but I still loved it even so! Depending on You took me back to the girls I grew up with. I’m not someone who has many girlfriends and the ones I do have, have been there through it all. That’s where I was while reading it. I might’ve reading about a potential murder that was committed by our two best friends, but I was living in the past as well.
Cate and Patty have that forever friendship. The type of friendship that no matter how much time you’ve been apart, as soon as you get together it’s like you haven’t missed a beat. Now that friendship is tested, secrets can be the end all if let out the wrong way.
Cate once had a passion for life, till she thought she killed someone. She became a recluse living on the edge of a mental breakdown.
Patty also once had a passion for life, but instead she ran and is still running from it.
How do two friends navigate a hidden murder, a dying parent, 20 years lost, all came down to one night. Prom night!
Trust me when I say pick it up and read it. I’m telling you, you will get sucked right in.
If I had anything negative to say, a little more mystery around the “who done it plot.” Otherwise the character development was wonderful and the novel was complete!
