The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance)The Debt Collector by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Debt Collector is the first novel in the Underground Bad Boys series by India Kells. This is my fourth novel by this author.

Doctor Tessa Freeman is thrown in a dangerous situation when she helps girls in the ER and finds herself in the slave ring.

Locke is a mysterious man that helps her.

Though he is distant, there is also an attraction the two and the deal that he comes up with as payment surprises Tessa. Locke brings in his best friend Gabe as part of the deal and things get more intense for Tessa.

I really enjoyed the premise and the characters especially the relationship between Tessa and Locke. Locke has some secrets and felt something more for Tessa and only wanted to protect her while protecting his own heart.

For anyone looking for steamy scenes with a twist, I recommend.

The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance
By India Kells
5 Stars

The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells is suspenseful, M/M/F erotic romance. Dr. Tessa Freeman has a knack for taking care of others while working in the E.R. She is always ready to help regardless of how much danger her patient is in. She has been able to help girls that have found themselves in a dangerous situation and has been able to keep them safe. While working in the E.R., Tessa meets Locke who comes in to tend to his injuries. This mysterious, beautiful man captures her attention in every which way. After a very long shift at work, Tessa is kidnapped by a dangerous slave ring. Unbeknownst to Tessa, Locke would save her from danger but she must give up her freedom in order to stay alive. Will Tessa be able to agree to the terms Locke presents to her in exchange for her freedom in 6 months? This storyline captivates your attention from the moment you start reading. There are intense, hot scenes that included M/M and M/M/F. If you are sensitive to ménage a trois and male/male relations, this book is not for you. The suspense of the possible danger that Tessa is in and hot scenes, will leave you on the edge of your seat and also fanning yourself. I recommend this book and look forward to reading more books by India Kells.

The Debt Collector by India Kells was an intriguing book right from the start. I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out or even if it was going to be something I liked. From the beginning I was pretty hooked and I was able to finish rather quickly. There are a few things I was rather new to reading in this book. I haven’t read a lot of the ménage stuff and I tend to stay away from books with sex trafficking/ slave rings just because it tends to make me so mad I can’t concentrate on much else. However this book has that stuff but it’s done well enough that it added to the story. Overall the writing was great and I was into it the whole time. This is my first book by this author but won’t be my last. 5 star rating!

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 1) by India Kells

4-stars

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 1) by India Kells was a steamy romance novel. Tessa is just a normal ER doc who occasionally has the chance to save girls escaping from a sex ring. Her latest rescue leads to her kidnapping and ultimately leading to her rescue from a hottie she recently treated for possible stab wounds. He now has taken over her debt but in order to return to her life safely she has to make a deal with him and his friend.

This was a fast paced steamy Romance that was very entertaining. I felt that there were good antagonist and protagonist with this storyline. I felt that it had an excellent climax and that the author did an amazing job with detail. It was easy to picture each scene. I really enjoyed this read.

WOW!!! Let me start by saying HOT SIZZLING HOT!!!! I devoured this book in one sitting. It wasn’t what I was expecting it to be… but it was sooo much better! The attraction between not only Locke and Tessa but also him and Gage is palpable. Mrs. Kells has a way of drawing you in and making you feel exactly what Tessa feels. I was on the edge of my seat reading as fast as I could. I felt her fear and frustration. I felt her desire and confusion. I felt her heart. If you like erotic romances, this book is for you. If you like mystery and suspense, this book is for you. If you are wanting to try to read something that has male on male scenes, and are unsure of it, read this one. You won’t regret it. The writing was great and the character description was flawless. I am thrilled that I found this book, and I look forward to reading more in the series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is a love story between two people who face a lot of challenges before realising they were meant for each other.

Tessa is a doctor in a&e, her life is hectic and busy. Her life is her work, she never has time for anything else. All that changed when a young girl arrives at the hospital beaten and scared. Tessa helps her escape without realising she had made herself a target.

Then she’s kidnapped and her knight in shining armour is all she’s dreamed about a more. But Locke isnt a man to fall in love. Locke has a past and this past has made him a hard man who only sees women as something of pleasure nothing more.
Can Tessa get under his skin enough to change all that?

I enjoyed this book, the story is captivating and the writing is so good you can actually feel every emotion of the characters.

The Debt Collector by India Kells is a steamy fast paced read. I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. This steamy read takes flight after Tessa makes a decision that changes her life. She is dedicated doctor and a one off meeting with a girl in the slave trade who she wants to save changes her life forever. She is kidnapped and leased to The Debt Collector. Locke is known as the Debt Collector and he has taken her debt. There are plenty of scenes to make you blush but you will keep reading to see how this story ends.

Holy cow I need a cold shower after that read!! This book definitely made the temperature rise, but there was also so much more to this story. The characters in this book had deeper layers to them which are the reasons they do what they do. The chemistry between Locke and the doctor was off the charts and then add in Gage and it turns everything up a notch. There is suspense, action, and nail biting moments in this story that you don’t want to miss. This is an incredible read that was written expertly. I highly recommend this book.

Well this was a delightfully delicious read!! I have read books by this author previously so I knew I would probably be in for a good read and as predicted I was completely right! Whilst I’m not usually a fan of MFM stories even I can’t deny the passion and chemistry between the characters! Tess was a fantastic female lead – I really enjoyed reading about her. I fell in love with Gage straight away there was just something about him that made him relatable – the only character I did have a little difficulty connecting to was Locke, he was a very closed off and in some ways complex character however I enjoyed trying to unravel him and understand him more.
The authors writing in this book captured my interest right away and I couldn’t put it down until I had finished. It was a multidimensional read that had me fully engaged. I 100% recommend it and I am certainly looking forward to more from Ms Kells in the future.

The Debt Collector by India Kells a five-star read that will set your pages alight. This is number one in an Underground Bad Boys series and it kicks off with an explosion of heat that I am sure will just go up in temperature if that is possible. Sometimes the content of this story can be a little deep and hard to cope with, but the author does such a great job it makes it an easier read and more palatable when you read it. Tessa was someone that you want in your life, she is a good person, but there is so much more to her than just being good. On the flip side just because you’re a bad boy doesn’t mean you are always bad, as we find with Gabe and Locke. I adore this author, but this is by far my favourite of all their work.

The Debt Collector by India Kells is a hot steaming romance, suspense, and erotica story. India Kells does an amazing job of descriptive writing. Her words can form the pictures in your imagination. The story is about Dr. Freeman who helps with an underground slave ring. She gets captured by the slave master and it was not looking good. She gets rescued by a debt collector and she needs to pay him with her body. That is where the story steams up. How much will she have to “pay” to the debt collector? Will she be able to find out what really is going on?

So not sure where to start with this review, going to try really hard to express my feelings in an understandable way. Let me begin with I chose this book because of the author, an author I absolutely love and I have read the majority of her books and do plan on reading them all as I can.

This one was a quick read for me because I had to skim parts because they involved scenes I just can not read..a genre I do not read except when written by a handful of my favorite authors and India Kells is on that list. Thankfully skipping these scenes did not take away from the awesome storyline, the kind of storyline I have come to expect when reading anything from this author. The character development was complete and I connected quick with each of them and I truly believe this storyline would have been just as satisfying without the addition of the parts I skipped. That’s just my personal take on it and I’m sure many would love all of it and that’s totally awesome.

The scenes I did read were off the charts hot and on fire and I love the way this whole story played out and Locke stole my heart very early on and no matter what he tried to portray I was on to him quite early 🙂 I would truly love to learn more about Gage and hope that somewhere in books to come we get his story. I will read more of this series because of who is writing them and I highly recommend this book no matter what genre you read or don’t read.

THE DEBT COLLECTOR is not about a call center collecting overdue bills. Oh my gosh this one handed read was hot hot hot.

It has a bit of action and suspense and a whole lot of open door MMF, MFM, MM scenes. There is also a moral to the story…”One should always have adhesive yellow duckies in the shower to prevent slippage.”

There is also a story line that has substance and weight along with all the schmexy times. It is a very quick read and I look forward more of these characters in future books in this series.

Along with the incredible storyline she has written, she gives you twists and turns throughout that keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat till the very end!

What made this book even better was the in depth characters who’s journey we followed throughout who you couldn’t help but love in their each own way!

…and she did it again!!!

OMG I loved this book and I love love love that this author gave us this part of the story..I have loved every single part of the Twisted Hearts series and this addition was beyond amazing.

Autumn Sand is absolutely in my top 5 list of absolute must read 1 clicks and the twists that happened in this story were perfect and had me on the edge of my seat the entire read. This was a one sitting devour and I’m actually ready I believe to start from the beginning and read all of these over again back to back!

I didn’t realize how much I needed Tallie’s story until I started reading it, and El had me all kinds of messed up, like him? Love him? Hate him? Trust Him?? What a ride that was and Tallie’s history also had me all kinds of a mess. This author has a way of forming her words and transporting me right into the story and wanting so so much more and if I could hope for just one thing I would absolutely love to read at least one more story and that one would be Chicken’s. He totally fascinates me and his would be the topping on the cake.

I guess this could be read as a stand alone, but I would not recommend that, there is too much in the previous books and not to mention they are just brilliant reads.

Highly recommend!!

Loved It!!

You have to read this to understand all that is happening, I won’t be giving anything away. Must must read.

A debt that she may not have the strength to repay.

Dr. Tessa Freeman is dedicated to the well-being of her patients, and when battered girls come into her ER, escaping from an underground slave ring, Tessa risks it all to save them. Unfortunately, no good deed ever goes unpunished.

Captured by the slave master, her fate seems worse than death, when a mysterious debt collector comes to her rescue. Locke is not what he seems, full of darkness and secrets, however, he agrees to offer her sanctuary if she repays her debt to him, by completely offering him her body.

Temptation is everywhere, and Locke plays with her mind by sharing her with his best friend Gage, when he’s not ravaging the fierce cage fighter himself. Lust and secrets blur her mind, making it difficult Tessa to know what she desires beyond the two men owning her body. The debt is hiding more than it appears and Tessa won’t be satisfied until she gets the truth. And the man she wants.

The reasons to LOVE this story! First it’s loaded with characters that we have previously met and adore. Second we finally…finally get to learn what’s up with Tallie. Thirdly we learn more about El Diablo and his BFF Chicken. I enjoyed the dynamics between El Diablo and Chicken…I really thought these are two cold blooded killers. El could be so cold and ruthless to people even Tallie. While I hated El upon the first few meetings between him and Tallie I eventually saw through his words to the man underneath. Plus when she was going to walk out on him…in the kitchen…what he said? ….so uncharacteristic of him. That makes me believe in him.

I absolutely loved Tallie’s “real” name. But her earlier life I could have done without. I really felt for this poor girl and can see why she is the way she is now. Her life just ripped my heart out. In previous books Tallie wasn’t a well liked character because of her actions. I am glad she got her own story and her own ending.

This book is full ON emotional and brutally honest. I ran a gambit of emotions while reading including shock more than once. I can see why the author struggled to get this one out. As previously stated I loved these characters before and now that encompasses Tallie, El and even Chicken. This is a stand alone book and not for the faint of heart. For those that love a walk on the darker side….pick this up. I would recommend reading the Twisted Heart Series as some of the characters overlap. As usual Autumn Sand does not disappoint. She is a one click for me.
BTW—Great Cover!!

Ruin: The El Diablo Chronicles is a fantastic romantic suspense novel by Autumn Sand. It is a spin off from the Twisted Hearts Love Story series but can be read as a stand-alone. I was gutted when that series ended so was overjoyed that Autumn Sand decided to give El Diablo and Tallie their own story.
I loved El Diablo and Tallie’s story. Their characters are amazing. This story contains storylines that may act as triggers for some readers. There is an element of sexual abuse in the story. This book had everything I love in a book. I was gripped tightly right from the very start and wasn’t let go. You will go through every emotion possible when reading it – anger, devastation, heartbreak, this book has it in spades.
Autumn Sand sure knows how to tell a story. I loved that the characters I had loved from the Twisted Hearts books were back. They don’t overshadow El Diablo and Tallie at all but their role in this book is essential.
I have to say that the author throws a few curveballs at you. I had several WTF!!! moments reading this.
I would definitely recommend this book. Also I would recommend that you also read the 4 books in the Twisted Hearts Love Story series as they are so damn good.

The story Ruin: The El Diablo Chronicles by Autumn Sand is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Tallie and Raymond. Tallie is a woman who keeps herself guarded. She is someone who gets what she wants and makes no apologies for it. She is also haunted by her past. She has now met Raymond. Raymond is part myth, part man. He is a man that could be considered cold and calculating. He keeps himself away from family and friends. He keeps himself protected. The sparks fly when both Raymond and Tallie meet. There is no commitment, no strings attached. Will it stay that way? What does the future hold for Tallie and Raymond? Read this book to find out. I really felt for Tallie as she has been through so much in her life and her past shapes the decisions that she makes. Raymond is a man that could have any woman that he wants. He is finding himself with feelings for Tallie. This book had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It also had me on an emotional rollercoaster. It is a book that will have you glued to the pages all the way through. The story does include a sensitive subject that may cause triggers.

Ruin by Autumn Sand is a fantastic novel that is part of the El Diablo Chronicles. Although other characters are mentioned this book can be easily read as a standalone.
This book is everything I wanted and expected it to be and more! It had such a gripping story line and such intensely perfect characters to match. I was drawn into everything about this book immediately and within a few pages knew that I was going to have to read it all in one sitting. The book was so rich in detail and complex I honestly felt like I was there throughout the whole story. It was exciting to read and left me eager to read more.
The only thing I would say is that, while for me the trigger warning wasn’t necessary – I will read pretty much anything – I can complete understand why it would be needed. So while I would highly recommend reading this book as soon as humanly possible be cautious if you think you might be effected. The parts of the book are fairly easy to skim over so it is still 100% worth your time.

I think I’ve read all of this author’s books so I knew what to expect going in. What I didn’t expect was to gleefully clap when I recognized past character’s names & places (you don’t need to have read anything prior, so no worries).

I read this story in one day. It was one of those stories which I thought I knew where it was going and was prepared for being completely unprepared. FANTASTIC story line. Well plotted from beginning to end. There were a few times I had to sit back and think about who was who and why they were the way they were, but it did not take away from the enjoyment.

The author notes a trigger warning, I think it was deserved in this case. While these are not “triggers” for me, they are things I prefer to not read about and was able to skim over the triggers with no problem and was still able to follow along.

I look forward to reading more of this exciting series.

The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin – Review by Emily Walsh

The Good NeighborsThe Good Neighbors
By: Kiersten Modglin
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin was a gripping psychological thriller, that had me hooked from start to finish.

Have you ever sat at the end of a book and just went, what the hell… what the hell? That was me, full on, not really comprehending how the author led me by the nose. This book was even told in dual POV and still managed to mislead you and catch you off guard. Again, what the hell?… (These are good, what the hells, BTW)

At first this book read like you’re normal romance, opens pretty clean, meet the creepy neighbours and what not. But then things got crazy, I mean, there is one scene were I’m like, that just happened, that really just happened. I felt for Harper, and it really shows you how things can get out of hand in an instance. It also shows the difference in loyalties, temptation and how when two people are presented with the same situation, that there are two totally different outcomes. Pretty freaking amazing if you ask me.

I can go one and on, but even if i get into character pros and cons, I might spoil something, as everything is so intertwine that one small thing might ruin the magic of this mine twisting thriller. Cause when you get to that plot twist/bomb, you’re not going to see it coming, and you’re going to be sitting there going, what the hell!?

So overall, yes, I loved this book, and yes I am going to be checking out more books by this crazy author, and yes, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

Happy Reading
