I have said it once and I will say it again, please please please check trigger warnings. Your mental health is important. I will start this out with I feel like I should have read the book Craving Control before this, that way I would have had a little more understanding. But that is on me and of no fault to the author. When she says she writes dark she means it! I love a good love triangle and Zeke, Lily & Slash did not disappoint. And add in the MC portion of this and I was HOOKED. The emotions and turmoil on these pages were so good! I cannot wait to move on to the next and go back and read Craving Control!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tempting Fate is Book One in the Black Shamrocks MC: Australia trilogy, but the second book in the series. This book is dark, angsty, romantic, steamy, and intense. It centers around the character of Lily who has worked hard to reclaim her life and move forward. Lily is strong, ferocious, smart, determined, and refuses to back down or play the part of a victim. After fighting for her life and finally beginning to see a bright future her past comes back to haunt her. Lily has Zeke/Venom by her side to protect her and look out for her, but her family and MC world seem to be crumbling. Lily loves her MC family and will do anything for them, but will they have her back when she needs it? I loved the character of Lily and how ferocious and strong she was. Her and Zeke were well matched, but it was such a rocky road for them because there always seemed to be something or someone getting in their way. This book had passion, chemistry, romance, drama, suspense, grief, trauma, betrayal, and will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Warning: It also contains subject matter that may be a trigger for some so please read the author’s warning prior to choosing to read this.

This is the third book in the Brides and Sinners Astoria Royals series, focusing on Priscilla and Riordan. The pair have history leading to the opportunity for a second chance romance (I enjoy this trope when done well). Of course, things are never easy for couples like this.

There’s drama and a whole lot of danger thrown at the pair and it was a pleasure to join them in their story and navigate the twists and turns with them.

The characters were well-written and I enjoyed the author’s writing style – it flows well and paints vivid pictures of both the characters and scenery.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series, and the books I’ve missed.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Black Shamrocks MC: Australia Duplicity Trilogy, but not the first in the overall series. There is so much in this book: secrets, betrayal, action, twists and more.

This book is very dark, so I would highly recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading!

The characters are complex, well-written and believable. They tug on the heartstrings, playing on your emotions and occasionally leave you stunned. I really felt for Lily, she’d already been through so much that no one should ever go through, only to have more awfulness thrown at her.

I haven’t read the previous books in the full series but will do now as I feel I would get so much more out of this one if I had. I look forward to reading more from this author!

Sleeping with the Enemy by Debroah Garland- 4 out of 5 stars.

Prissy’s deep seeded determination for revenge after she was attacked, puts her face to face with a blast from her past. Riordan, her old crush and the man that saved her life all those years ago. This Mafia romance had me flipping the page for more. Danger, drama, suspense, forced marriage, and lots of steam. What more could you ask for.
I am giving this book 4 stars because there were parts that were a bit difficult for me to read. Other then that, I appreciated the character development.

This book is one of the most gripping that I have read this year. It was dark, intense, fast paced, exciting and so well written. I could not put it down once I had started reading. I was pulled into the characters and their story. It felt so gritty and real. They are definitely two of my favourite characters.
This author knows how to write such varied and interesting books. This one feels so different to some of the others I have read by her but it is just as good. I could have read this book for so much longer. I would highly recommend this story.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is definitely a dark book, but not nearly as dark as in the prequel Craving Control. Beware of the trigger warnings, because it does get down to the nitty-gritty in some parts of the book, but if you like dark and soulful books, this is the one for you! Love, hate, worship, deceit, betrayal, altruism, infidelity, and extreme tension; this book has it all. The love between Lily and Venom is so pure and raw, but gets overshadowed by each character’s inability to stop themselves from putting themselves in danger for each other and the ones that they love. Are they soulmates or are they just two people that fell in love at a young age and have fooled themselves into thinking that they are each others’ forever? I am dying to find out! Between the malice of the president of the club, the games that the rivals are playing at, and the potential rat in the nest, it’s left me wondering… just who will be Lily’s husband by the end of the next book and where does that leave the club? Absolutely phenomenal and must read!

Riordan and Priscilla’s story had me right from the start. Man, the action was there. Her tragic story from her teen’s ripped my heart out (the author does give a trigger warning. Make sure to read it). These two come back together and the action is sparking and full of chemistry as they try to avoid but can’t. I haven’t read the first two in the series but you can bet I will now. I loved the characters. They just fit the mafia stereotype so well. Priscilla didn’t quite fit the mafia daughter type but she’s trying to overcome so much. The story can be graphic but it’s a good romance that is worth reading.

On her eighteenth birthday, Lilianna Mayberry survived every woman’s worst nightmare.

Sure, she was left with permanent scars and her psyche was shattered, but she’s alive.

In fact, she’s almost thriving.

Settled into her rebuilt life with her longtime love, Venom, supported by their best friend, Slash, and empowered by the motorcycle club that loves her dearly, Lily has grasped her dreams with both hands and made them her b!tch.

Until the monster from her past returns prematurely, and everything she thought she knew gets turned on its head once again. Her father is up to his old tricks. The Black Shamrocks MC is splintering down the middle. Even her best friend turns out to be less than trustworthy.

Almost five years ago, Lily stood tall against the forces trying to take her down. Her loyalty to the Shamrocks never wavered. She literally bled for their freedom.

So why is she still caught in a web of the Kingsley family’s making?

Tempting Fate is the first book in the Duplicity trilogy. Part of Bella Faust’s Black Shamrocks MC (Australia) series, this dark, psychological romance is a steamy and taboo tale filled with angst, betrayal, and lust set within a love triangle everyone but Lily saw coming.

The first book in the series, Craving Control, is also available. It should be read before the Duplicity trilogy to best appreciate the overall storyline. This book can be accessed as a welcome gift after subscribing to the Faust 411 reader update at https://www.subscribepage.com/the411

A fan of erotic psychological thrillers that are full of steam and angst, dark romance that doesn’t shy away from the pain and violence of life, but a devoted hater of the way the villain is always magically redeemed by his love for the heroine or the amazing coincidence whereby the hero just happens to sweep in and save his woman before she can really be hurt, Bella Faust spent years hoping that her favourite dark romance authors would go balls to the wall in one of their dark romance books… or even better write a whole series of these stories.

During that period of misguided longing, she worked as a finance manager at her local university, studied for her MBA, completed a BA in English, raised her two kids, taught English to high schoolers, volunteered as a Lifeline crisis counsellor, drove her husband mad with her complaints about the dearth of true dark psychological romance books, and dipped her toe into ghost-writing and editing.

Then she decided to write the books she wants to read for her-damn-self.

And, now, she’s inviting you inside her madness… as long as you make sure to check the trigger warnings beforehand!

So the Larussio family is still feuding with the FebRosa family and we really pick up where we left off in book 1 ….

Dominic and Emilia are the focal point this time round and I felt there was a bit of a Romeo and Juliet spin to it which just hit the spot for me but thing gets really intense when these 2 lovebirds cross a line …. She’s willing to give it all up for him and he’s willing to protect her at any cost

There’s so much going on here drama ,violence , angst , steamy and swoony moments , heartache and I just had the time of my life , when I talk of the character people think they’re real ! I know I get really involved 😉❣️📚

Can’t wait to read the next one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I like the covers on all the books in the series but this feels a little different , like the magic is possessing Ian and after reading , even more so 💥

This is the end of the trilogy and be sure to have read the other books otherwise you’ll feel totally lost , I’ll be honest I was exhausted as I binge read but that in no way reflects on the book ❣️📚 what I would recommend is take a breather in between each one that way you will take more in and do the series justice 🥰

The fate of an entire race lays at Ian’s feet and sacrifices have to be made and again it seems like it all falls on Ian . Everything comes together and there’s action , love , drama and quite a bit of action , so a few boxes have been ticked 😉

Again , just loving the cover art !

To me , it feels like Ian is seen as the saviour of the Shinree but at what cost ? He’s been beaten , tortured and broken , his people are free but still enslaved and oppressed and , people from all across are hungry for freedom and they’re looking to Ian , hoping he’s the one that’ll lead them but he’s needing to heal himself ….

What is his connection with The Crown of Stones ?

A sequel can either be better than the first book or it can go the other way and disappoint you , this did neither, that’s not a bad thing though , it keeps your interest , it makes you wonder and question and there was a little more spice this time round 😉

I’ve not read fantasy in quite a while and I had a few reservations but I must admit I’m grateful I got the chance to read this , cover-art is just amazing 😉

The Shinree are a suppressed nation and “bred” as slaves and to serve and wait upon others ( this really saddens me )

Ian is a Shinree and cones from a family of warriors so it’s pretty much expected that he’s pulled into the ongoing war with the Langorians ….

Ian has a good heart but at times it felt like his goodness was being taken for granted and what’s a good story if there’s not a dash of romance 😍 all in all a magical welcome back into a world of fantasy 🍄

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dominic Larussio is never played by any rules other than the ones the family set forth. Still, even those weren’t always followed. Emelia Rosa, the mafia princess of their rival, happens to just fall in the lap of the Larussio during the revenge battle how could Dominic pass that opportunity up. With the kidnapping of his younger cousin, and the bloodshed at his cousin’s wedding it was time for the DaRosas to get payback and Emelia was as perfect as it came. Just like the first book in this series, the relationship between Dominic and Emelia is one of hot/cold with a whole lot of love/hate. One of the best acts of revenge that Emelia can get on her father is showing up to a family funeral on the arm of her father’s sworn enemy.
Yet, again this author did not disappoint! This book was so full of action, love, war, and steamy at parts that I could not put it down nor did I want to. I needed to keep reading to find out what happened next.

This is the second book in this mafia romance series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I advise you go back and read the first for a better understanding of some characters/the world the characters inhabit.

I loved the character of Emelia. She’s strong, determined to protect her family and she’s resourceful.

Dominic and Emelia had me invested in their relationship and the outcome, both characters showed themselves to be more than met the eye at face value and loyal to those they care about.

I thoroughly enjoyed this instalment in the series, and will get started on the next book immediately.

What a great novella. Honestly I typically stay away from novellas because we often see them rushed/ lacking info that would benefit the story but this author slays novellas. This story packed a heck of a punch being well rounded, thrilling and mysterious with the supernatural mixed in. I was head over heels for the characters, the ideas and I read it as fast as humanly possible! Corpse Pixie wasn’t what I imagined it would be. It’s definitely original and interesting. There aren’t any heroes in this book (in my opinion) just lesser of a few evils. It’s a short book. You can read it in a few hours. It’s a page turner. I’ve never read a book with so many hybrid supernatural characters. I really hope there will be more like this one. There’s romance but it’s hard to describe what it’s like. It’s not hallmark movie romance and it kinda creeps up on the characters. I think my favorite character is Seraphine. She seems so interesting and I hope we get to learn more about her life.
