A very different take on magic. The story had a really good flow and was easy to read. The world building and characterisation was very well developed and I was vested in Ian Troy as the MC. The author has presented a fantastical story filled with magic, action, drama and intrigue. I enjoyed the unique nature of the magic and it’s affects. The ending left me wanting to know more.

Fantastic! The last instalment in a brilliant series brings Lazarus and Sasha’s story. This was dark and broody meets impulsive and snarky. I really enjoyed their interactions. A roller coaster ride of events filled with high stakes emotions brings this intriguing and suspenseful series to a bittersweet end. The author has done an exceptional job bringing everything together and keeping true to the characterisation throughout the whole series. Highly recommended.

Tori is a clinical psychologist at a hospital in Seattle who has taken it upon herself to provide terminal patients company. The patients have no visitors, and Tori feels that nobody should die alone. When her friend Jenny, a nurse for the hospital, approaches her about Will, Tori is caught off guard at his age. At 29 years old, Will has been diagnosed with an infection coupled with an end stage lymphoma. What is even more shocking, is that Will is refusing treatment and has a Do Not Resuscitate document on file.
At first, Tori visits Will, and he refuses to answer any questions except “Can I come back tomorrow?” As days go by, Will admits that he is eagerly awaiting her daily visits. Tori also begins to look forward to seeing him. They soon become friends and on the weekends, Tori brings movies, and they end up growing closer. They become infatuated with one another and Will begins to divulge more of his life with Tori. He begins allowing treatment to get past the infection and looks forward to going home. A day before he will be released to hospice, Will takes a turn for the worse with pneumonia. As he is nearing death, having issues breathing, he tells Tori to leave and not come back. Tori pleads with him to allow the hospital to treat him, but he refuses. As Tori sits at home grieving, she receives a call from Jenny that changes her entire view about Will. What changes? How will she handle his death?
I cannot express my utter emotional response to this book. I look forward to reading the sequel. As Tori fell in love with Will, I felt my heart go out to him. I will admit that it brought tears to my eyes when Will was diagnosed with pneumonia, and I connected with Tori’s pain when he rejected her company. I also struggled with why she just wouldn’t tell him that she loved him too.

Magical possibilities This is my first book by this author. The storyline and writing style were good. I connected quickly with the characters and the different aspects of magic. The idea behind the Liminal Realm was intriguing. The story ebbed in parts and flowed quickly in others but overall was an enjoyable read.

Hold onto your breath thriller Speechless – that is what this book rendered me. Absolutely mind blown. My heart raced and stopped at different points throughout this book. Once I started reading I was glued right up until the end. Questions ran through my head non-stop and I just had to keep turning the pages to find out more. Dark, gritty and suspenseful this is a brilliant psychological thriller that will have you enthralled from page 1.

Unequivocally brilliant Alpha mafia men and strong resilient women make this a winning series. This book is filled with romance, action, drama and suspense with strong family ties bringing it all together. Each book gets better and better. We finally get behind the scenes with Stefano and Emiliana in this book and I was not prepared for how ruthless Stefano could be. Took my breath away. This can be read on its own but reading the first two books will help you to really understand and appreciate the story so much more. Highly recommended series.

The title of this book caught my interest and I have to say, I am happy it did. I am not into Tarot cards, putting crystals around my house, or other such rituals, but I thoroughly enjoyed the content of this book. As an introvert who is working to make my life something that makes me happy, I really enjoyed what the author had to say. It was a peaceful read and helped me start dreaming of things that I want in my life. I also like the layout the author used of addressing a topic and then discussing what she had to unlearn in order to make life better for her – societal restrictions or beliefs that we feel we need to follow but might not necessarily be right for us. Overall, it was a really good read. I have a relative in mind that I think could benefit from it, as well!

This book was definitely the most interesting book I’ve read all year. I’m usually attracted to books that have a story line but something about this book just called to me. I just had to read it and I’m glad I did. I’ve been struggling with self care for years now and Practically Pagan showed me how magical living and self care kind of go hand in hand. I’ve learned a little more about myself while reading Practically Pagan. This book has helped me to think about what I’m going to do differently with my life in the new year. Even if you’re not interested in magic this book can help you in every day life. I am so happy I decided to take a chance and read Practically Pagan.

I am holding onto this book for my granddaughter. She still believes in Santa Claus and this book is the perfect explanation about the Spirit of Christmas and carrying on the tradition, when she asks “Is Santa real?” It’s short, sweet, and to the point.

Intriguing mystery This is a first from this author for me and it did not disappoint. I was hooked in from the first page and kept riveted as the story unfolded. This is a suspenseful thriller mystery with romantic tension thrown in. Lexi and Xavier are well developed characters that I just could not help loving. They are raw and real and I just felt such a connection to them. The mystery was brilliantly executed too with just the right balance of suspense and action. Highly recommend.

Christmas dream A beautifully illustrated Christmas story about answering the question every parent faces. This story navigates the question in a slightly different way and focuses more on the belief of Christmas and keeping that belief alive rather than the magic of Christmas. The message is delivered well and the story has a heartwarming ending.

So well written! Lexi is probably my favorite character and I say that because she is my idea of a heroine…..even with the odds stacked against her and pretty much everyone against her, she goes for what she wants and knows is right! So what do you do when you find a dead body on the first day with your new partner Xavier? I was pulled in from the first page and have already recommended it to friends. Solving mysteries, loss, love? Read it today.
