Forbidden Love is the kind of romance story everyone wishes they had. Told in the eyes of Joe, he recounts the story of his birth parents and how he came to be. Deeply touching, heartfelt and romantic, it’s a book you won’t want to put down! This book also does a good job of describing how the colored people were treated, while showing that we have improved as a society, there is plenty of room for improvement.

What a great story that shows us the power of music….the power of a single song. Shane is a werewolf in a band full of witches. This was a great short story with a bit of everything within its pages. Music, romance, suspense, witchcraft, black magic, love, loyalty, family. This book has it all. I thoroughly enjoyed this novella and I am looking forward to more from the Crescent City Wolfpack!

Amy’s Santa is the first book in Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation!!! Finally!!! We have been waiting for it for such a long time AND Manda did not disappoint! There were so many ‘children’ she could have started with and I am so happy she started with Amy and Drew aka Wizard. We met Amy in Heart’s story (she is his daughter) and Drew in Mouse’s story (his sister Mariana is Mouse’s Old Lady). I assume you could read this story as a standalone but I strongly recommend to read the other series before as you will get so much more out of it as you will know the background to the other characters that play a big role in the story! Manda has given us a story that fits well with her MC series and I am looking forward to the rest of the second generation stories. You would think that she’d reach the bottom of the well when it comes to her Satan’s Devils but heck no, her imagination keeps on giving and what is there not to love about brotherhood and loyalty and action and love and steam and … Thank you dear writer and please keep them coming!

Somebody in the Neighbourhood by Judy Moore is a great mystery book that will definitely keep you reading. This book was definitely suspenseful and intriguing. I found it interesting from the start when Dawn moved into her Aunts place. You knew that something was going on but couldn’t quite figure out what. All the way through the book I was trying to guess at the outcome. The author does a great job of taking you on a journey full of twists and turns. This was a great book and one I enjoyed immensely. It is certainly worth your time.

Alice Will by Ashley Chappell You follow the main character, Trotter a 14-year-old girl as she goes on an adventure of gods and discovering her powers. The beginning was somewhat slow for me but before I knew it I was halfway through the book! In the back of the book, you get a list of all the gods and what they are the gods of. It helps when reading and keeping all the gods straight it also helps keep the stories straight. The ending is great and it ties everything together adequately.

Journeys Through SpaceTime is a fabulous multiverse adventure journey with lots of action. It begins with a sword master’s son, a powerful queen, a skilled warrior, a college student, a reptilian humanoid scientist and a wise and beautiful leader. The worlds are very well developed, the book is also told in multiple points of view from the main characters which makes them all very well developed and interesting, and there are a lot of characters which can make it confusing at times. I loved following the adventures of all the characters and seeing them fight against evil. It’s full of exciting moments which will have you quickly turning the pages to find out what happens next! This is a great start to what I know will be a great series!

This is my first read from this author and what a brilliant start it was! For one thing, the cover of this book is what drew me in first but I’m so glad that I got the opportunity to read it. This was a brilliant YA fantasy read that took you along on an incredible adventurous journey. This was a mentally visual read full of description and imagination. I got thoroughly captivated with the story and its characters, they are well developed and I loved following their journey throughout the was a brilliant read and I can’t wait to see what else this author can bring us! Until then this book should not be missed!

Somebody In the Neighborhood is a murder mystery by Judy Moore. This is the third book of Ms. Moore’s that I have read, and I have enjoyed them all. The story is essentially a murder mystery, with a whodunit quality to the storyline. There is of course murder- intriguing mystery, some action, danger, plenty of suspense, drama, secrets, and surprising developments- which had me trying to predict the outcome and ‘whodunit’, before any revelations. But Ms. Moore once again kept me guessing through the entire book, twisting and turning the plot while I attempted to piece everything together to try to figure out what was going on. The story was quite detailed and descriptive, and really well woven. Ms. Moore had no problem leading me in any direction she required- while also enticing me further and further into her story. She built the suspense and tension superbly- and had me anticipating the outcome. The characters were well developed, interesting and somewhat quirky individuals. They added to the whole ‘atmosphere’ of the story- and made it all the more intriguing. Definitely looking forward to more from Ms. Moore!

Schneider has done it again! Magic Scars (sequel in The Crown Of Stone series) was everything a sequel should be. Sarcasm, shock, tons of fighting, and plenty of magic, it lives up to the first book in plenty of ways! I could hardly put the sequel down, and I can’t wait to read the third book! This second book of the series is one that will keep you feeling, and dying to find out what happens to Troy on his journey with the Crown of Stones.

Testament of Feats by K.H. Jones a five-star read that will surprise you with the depth of Sorrow. This is book two in the series and is the Book of Sorrows, it follows on from the first book, so I would say its best to read them in order. This one built on the last and that just made it so much stronger for me, it just added to the details and made Scream more real and deeper. The world building and character development are so well done that you can’t help but get so sucked in, you really feel like you are there with them on the journey. I for one can’t wait to see what will come next from this author, there is a real talent at detailed writing that is deep but not so deep that it becomes too much.

I’m in shock…seriously…how can an author (an absolute favorite author) keep starting new series that feel like the other series involving the same people as well as some new ones and make them feel completely fresh each time? I’m going to be completely honest and say that of course there was no doubt I was going to read this because I mean..it’s Via Mari, but I was so worried that it would feel overdone maybe? Like maybe a brand new series would have been better? I feel completely stupid after finishing this…I almost feel like I should send an apology to this author for not trusting her.
Katarina and Chase will forever be one of my favorite book couples, I already knew that but this story just reinforced that… I can’t emphasize enough how much I loved being back with them. They have my heart and I loved how her strength shined through in this story and that she hasn’t lost that while in the complete and utter fog of protection and love given to her by Chase…sigh….
I loved the two stories going on in this book..two stories that actually on one hand were one yet on the other completely separate. This is where Gio and Serena come in…there was so much to their story…Serena fearing Gio’s Larussio family for good reason doing everything possible to protect Nonna and holding on to secrets from even her own family, but when Gio decides he will have Serena as his own vowing to protect and care for her can Serena trust this man that she has feared and suffered because of for so many years?
Someone tried to kill Carlos, the head of the Larussio family who happens to be Katarina’s father and Gio’s favorite uncle..these two finally meet as Carlos has made it very clear that all the plans he had and has for the family are to be carried out by these two cousins who have never met. Katarina meets a family that is hers by blood, while Gio meets a cousin he has never been sure even shares his blood..how this all plays out makes for an amazing story that had me reading non stop and my head throbbing because I couldn’t read fast enough, then just looking down shaking my head because it was over….when I say i didn’t want this book to end I’m saying it with complete sincerity..so many times I felt like I had transported in to this world this author created and I wasn’t ready for it to be over. This could be at this point my favorite in them all, take my advice and pick up all of the books that are involved in these series…definitely worth every penny, and I can’t wait to reread everything!
Now I wait for Rise…so many unanswered questions I need answers to, a looming drs appt, who is behind it all, what happened to the brothers, Antonio?, how is Nonna, Sheldon and Alexis? (fell in love with these two) and does Gaby get her bigger kitchen???

Amy’s Santa by Manda Mellett a five-star read that you need to read. This is the first novel in the Satan’s Devils MC second generation series, and this is a great story about Amy, and she will surprise you as you read her story. This has some great characters as always, we get to catch up with some that we have met previously if you read the first series (but if you haven’t read that series it doesn’t matter as they are well done so you don’t miss anything), and will get to see Amy and Drew face fate, Amy has a terrific story, not a nice one, but one that will show her how strong she truly is. Xander played a great role in this story as well, and it was a nice twist with him added. Overall a great start to the next generation of character stories.

Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 2) by Maddie Wade & India Kells 5 stars
I absolutely loved this book. I was hoping we got Cleo’s book next after book 1, and this didn’t disappoint. Cleo’s got a stalker and I love how we’re thrown in only knowing how much she wants to divulge as we go. And Mason, oh what a guy! These two were great to read and I enjoyed seeing those from book 1 around in this one and I so cannot wait to see where this series goes. Another amazing read!
Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 2) by Maddie Wade & India Kells. I just can’t get enough of these authors and this series. Like seriously the entire book kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn’t want it to end. From start to finish I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. These authors know how to hook readers and make sure the story is one that won’t soon be forgotten. The character building is so strong I felt like I knew these people in real life. The storyline is just as strong and comes alive right before your eyes. Cleo and Mason are probably my favorite characters this year and I’ve read plenty of books but these two just captured my soul somehow. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I love a book I can’t figure out right off and this story definitely delivers. Five stars all the way and highly recommend!
The Traveler: Chimera Rebellion (The Book of Eleanor 1) by Shannon Nemechek. When I read the blurb I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect but I knew I was interested to see where this author was about to take me. And boy am I so very glad I opened this book up and stepped inside. Katie immediately drew me inside the story and I was ready for an adventure and this story gave me just that. I couldn’t put it down and I’ll be honest I wasn’t ready for it to end. The author’s writing style is smooth and detailed, I found myself forgetting I was only reading what was happening and not living it or watching it. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended.

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander. I love this series and I love Phoebe Alexander so this was a wonderful read to me. This is the story of Micah Greene who has agreed to officiate a wedding at a theme park catering to “grown ups”. He has watched his brothers sleep with tons of women and all the chaos that it caused and he has sworn to not do that but once he arrives at Spicetopia he meets Natalie Roux the wedding planner and he doesn’t know if he’s strong enough to stay away from her. They have instant chemistry and they don’t understand it. This is Natalie’s first big job and she wants to make a good impression on her boss. She can’t get in trouble this week because its her bosses wedding she’s planning! Can Micah & Natalie keep their hands off each other long enough to pull this wedding off or will they blow it all? I love this series and I can’t wait for another book!
This story picks up with Meda not remembering much of anything, but her name. This story combines romance, adventure, and suspense with ups and downs for Meda. I really enjoyed reading this story. I also love reading how Meda handles everything and finds her way back to those who love her.I cannot wait to see how all the twists and turns play out!

My mouth has been on the floor most of this book. I’ve never read so many ups and downs in one book. The plot twist still has me shocked. Only because I didn’t figure it out sooner. Johnnie is pure drama but so worth it. Charlotte is a great character with understandable flaws. When you’re hurt you will do anything to save yourself. I do feel like the author repeated a lot of the same information. Overall I really enjoyed the story. Jace was a great kid and it was sad to see him have to step up into an adult roll. The characters developed slowly and we spent most of the story trying to get past their hurt feelings. I don’t know if I would have been so forgiving as they were to each other. Though I do still want a taste of the Hennessy on the rocks. The title of the story was perfect. I recommend this story if you like a few broken people trying to find their way.

There is a lot of back story in the beginning, just be patient, its necessary. If you like the paranormal, the spooky, witch demon thing, then this is definitely a book for you. Ultimately it’s a story about good versus evil, and how love conquers all. In Goddess of the Wild Thing by Paul DeBlassie III, Sam and Eve are on a roller-coaster of emotion where nothing is as it seems and danger is everywhere. Mr. DeBlassie’s use of language is beautiful and almost poetic. I loved the flow of it.

It’s very hard for me to describe how I feel about this book. I am so blown away by this series. This is the second book in The Testament of Feats series. The second book, Testament of Feats: Book of Sorrows (Book Two), K.H. Jones is just as carefully crafted as the first book. If you haven’t read the first one, Testament of Feats:Book of Judgments, you really should pause and go back and read it. I was so excited to once again fall into this world. The characters in this story are all very strong characters so well-written you become very attached to them, they are like old friends. We join Scream as he continues on his journey to find a fellow Ranger but plans never turn out like we hope. A lot can happen between point A and point B and it does. The characters that we were introduced to in the first book are built upon and more fully developed in this book. There’s suspense, there’s action, romance and many unexpected turns. And there IS sorrow. This book will take you away it will transport you to another universe, another time, you will be lost in it. I can’t recommend this book enough.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It is full of action and sitting on the edge of your seat moments that left me turning pages. This is a well developed story that is about revenge and payback. The characters are strong and supportive of each other. Find out what happens when Tanuja’s family is murdered and she seeks revenge but will it push her over the edge? She is a strong character that is determined and really makes the story flow. I highly recommend this book.

The story Tanuja Ramachandran: Hunter Seeker by Kumar Sivasubramanian is a book that takes you on a journey that doesn’t stop until the final page. It had me wondering what was going to happen next. There is action that is non-stop and danger around every corner. The storyline is one that pulled me in, and I enjoyed reading about many of the characters. Tanuja Ramachandran is an interesting main character. A tragedy has transformed her into an instrument of retribution. Tanuja is strong, intelligent, and determined. She also has a medical condition that at times works against her. Tanuja is after an international terrorist. During her mission, she comes up against a creature that had nearly killed her. Will Tanuja find the terrorist that she is looking for? What does the future hold for her? Will her need for vengeance work against her? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed the amount of detail that the story has. I felt like I was right there with the characters. Don’t miss out on a book that will hook you in from the beginning and have you turning pages. I would recommend reading it.
I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the fourth book of the Spicetopia series. You can read this as a stand-alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. This author writes some awesome contemporary romances like no other. She always surprises you with her writing. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I was drawn into the characters so much I could not stop. It only took me a few hours to devour this awesome read.
Natalie Roux is the event planner to the adult theme park Spicetopia. Her first major job is the owners wedding. Natalie is determined to make this the best holiday wedding ever. She is staying on task and getting things done but when she meets the minister that is doing the ceremony she feels something she has never felt before. I really enjoy reading stories by this author; she never fails to pull me into whatever I am reading. She has a really nice, relaxed writing style. I think because the subject of the story was so close to my heart I found I was really invested in what I was reading. I loved the humour side to the story it sliced through some of the more serious parts and really lifted what I was reading and made it more entertaining. I really like Leda so I was really looking forward to reading more about her, I admire her drive to succeed in her career but I also deep down really want her to find love and have a good work/life balance – I think she is genuinely a lovely person. An entertaining story that I really enjoyed! As always I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Somebody in the Neighborhood by Judy Moore is an awesome crime-thriller. I read the entire book in one sitting because it was that engaging. The plot had me guessing and looking for more clues. Each time I thought I had it figured out, there was a curve ball thrown and took me by surprise. I love that this story held my attention. It also creep me out a bit because I had the hair on my neck stand up multiple times. This is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Are the people in your neighborhood watching you? Are the people in your neighborhood planning your death? Who in the neighborhood can you trust? Read this story to find out the answers to these questions.

They say never judge a book by its cover, but I will admit it’s the cover that had me to pick this up to begin with, I wanted to follow the girl on the cover on whatever adventure she was about to go on, and I was not disappointed. Ashley Chappell does an absolutely fantastic job setting up the world in which Alice Will takes place I wanted to jump in and live in this world with Trotter and Prowler myself. Her descriptions of places I felt I was actually there with Trotter & sidekick Prowler, and with Alice. It had everything, humor, adventure, magic, twists, and several moments where I couldn’t put it down even well past my bedtime, So much so It was worth nearly falling asleep in class the next day more than once. It made me feel such a sense of adventure and excitement I hadn’t felt since my childhood years reading about a certain boy who lived under some stairs. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series to see where this goes!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars by CL Schneider is the second book in a fantastic series. The story of Ian Troy continues as more memories come back to him. He is trying to figure out his past so he can understand his future. The world they live in is very uncertain and dangerous. How will he work this all out? The characters are very well written and guide the reader through a great story. I recommend reading these books in order because each book builds on the next. I have enjoyed many reads from this author and this did not disappoint.

The Spicetopia Boxed Set contains: 1-Sugar & Spice: Cy and Jolie’s story 2-Virtue & Vice: Moon & Katja’s story 3-Fire & Ice: Neve and Enya’s story. 4-Naughty & Nice: Micah & Natalie’s story (Christmas themed & maybe my favorite!!)
The Spicetopia 4-book series is set in the theme park world, which was a first for me, beginning in Sweetopia (think Disney) ending in the in adults-only Spicetopia (yeah, no reference for this one). Steamy love stories with awesome plot lines & interesting characters. As with most great series the stories & characters are interrelated & flow nicely. Each book is about a different couple and the challenges within their relationships. Romance, kink & theme parks? How much better can it get!!!
