This was a really good book! It was very well written. It was a well woven story of hope, love, and dreams with some darkness thrown in there to spice the story up. This is the second book in a series but can be read as a standalone. Both books were really good, I’m not sure which I would call my favorite. But I do know this one was beautifully written and well crafted and I’m excited to read more from this author in the future.

Love Tools is a sweet romance story with a happy ending. I really enjoyed the story, and loved both main characters as well as the supporting siblings. Lily left England and moved to a small town in the US, after inheriting a hardware/tool store. Jake is a cowboy who lives on a ranch with his sister, and is a smart a$$ but also very sweet. There are parts that made me laugh out loud, and others that had me saying awwww. I enjoyed the tidbits about Lily getting to know her dad, after he passed, as well as Jake giving his mom a second chance. Their love story, while a bit predictable, was sweet and funny. I am looking forward to the next book, because Alice seems to be even more of a firecracker than Lily.

This is the second book in the Winemaker’s series. I went into this book with high expectations as I LOVED the first book in the series. I have to say that this one did not disappoint. I love that this book focused on Pedro and his rise from “darkness”. In the first book, I did not have a favorable opinion of Pedro. However, I loved watching how he changed and developed as a person as he was on the run from the authorities as well as once he met Annie. I loved this historical romance. I hope that there is more to come in the series!

This author has such a knack for creating exciting and detailed stories. As with the first book I was pulled straight into this one. It was such a fast paced story ans I really enjoyed the characters that were within the pages. The story line was well thought and it really felt like it took me on a journey. This is only the second book in the series and it is truly a great addition. I am really looking forward to where it will go next.

It’s not too hard to imagine a magnetic pole shift activating the hidden bloodlines from the legends of our ancestors. It’s even easier to imagine society being afraid of change and attempting to stomp it out no matter the means necessary. A group of misfits all afflicted with new powers end up at a safe house in Ireland to learn about the new changes within them. Targeted by fear and prejudice, the “Unhidden” must learn to control their powers and work together in order to survive. The concept of this story is believable and quite unique. The multiple POVs made it hard to fully immerse myself into the story and it jumped around a lot. I really liked the inclusion of multiple cultures, but the characters were written very alike in opinions and feelings despite different faiths and races. The ending did have me on the edge of my seat. And I have to pick up the next book to check on a few of the characters I was able to get to know.

This is the second book of the Guardians of the PHAE series and it picks up where the first leaves off. This story follows many characters as they navigate their post-bombing world. With the jump from character to character, place to place, the story didn’t grab me at first. As I navigated through the book, I eventually found myself invested and couldn’t wait to see how it ended. I appreciated the guide at the front of the book that helped with pronunciations and meanings of the language used. Overall, this adventure of the Unhidden is adventurous, captivating, and suspenseful with a little romance splashed in. I hope to read book three and see what happens next.

Very good fantasy book by a new author to me! This is my first book that I have read, and while I struggled a bit due to this being book # 3 in the series to pick up, this ended up overall a great book. I am definitely going to circle back and start this series from the beginning to get the full story of characters.
This story is magical, unique powers but also touches on race and betrayal for sure. I couldn’t possibly imagine wanting to destroy someone or vice versa due to the color of their skin…..the author does such a great job on this.
Soraya is the leader of “The Circle”….trying to plan and keep everyone safe….especially from the likes of Shawn Kites who owns DNAgen Biolab and has so much hate over his heritage. Will Soraya be able to keep The Circle safe?

Naomi usually writes paranormal supernatural fantasy. The Husbands is her first attempt at a contemporary romance. As I have always said love is love and as always Naomi doesn’t shy away from and writes about what is not always considered the norm. It is a short read but one that definitely brings all the senses to life. It takes you on a rollercoaster ride with emotions. The tone of the story is full of push and pull, of angst and longing, hopes and fear, heartbreak and heartache, guilt and passion. Full of lies and secrets, doubt and temptation, of desperate want makes it one of those stories you just have to know how it all turns out. You know it’s a good story when there is a sad aw that rushes through you. My favourite way of storytelling is when it is tole through several POV and this one is. The characters Dorian and Augustine were easy to like and become invested in. I liked this story and the fact it was about the characters and not bogged down with unnecessary details. Not that I don’t love those but for this one it was right. I also like how the relationship was considered by taking in to account the feelings of significant others. For her first foray into this genre she has done well. I look forward to what comes next.
I really enjoyed this book. I found it hard to put down. First book by this author and I can not wait to read the rest of the series. I felt real emotions while reading this book. The way the author made the characters come to life was amazing. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed their writing skills as well as their attention to details that made the story pop. I look forward to reading more from them in the future. This is a well written story about discovering that love isn’t always perfect like they say. This is a story that has some suspense as well. It made the story easy and entertaining to read. A fast paced story that is hard to put down. There is great growth with the characters and the plot. The twists and turns had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen to these characters next. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed reading this book. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous book as well. This will help get to know the characters and where they come from up to now. This is a well written story that has magic and messing with the Gods just could get you killed. This is a story that is full of action and hard to put down. I enjoyed this installment of the series as much as the first book, if not more. There is great growth of the characters and the plot which made it easy to read. I found this book to be entertaining and engaging. I really enjoyed seeing what happens with these characters. But their help will come at a cost. Will their cost be too high a toll? Can they find a way to protect themselves from PEM without the gods help?
This book picks up right after book 1. The story was intriguing, and I kept reading because I wanted to know how it was all going to work out. There was a lot of information but not quite an inundation of it like in the first one. Seeing the introduction of the gods with each of the characters whose power coincides with was quite an addition to the story. In my opinion, the author did a fantastic job capturing how the gods would think as opposed to humankind. The conclusion has promise of being epic. I truly hope that it is!

I found The Husbands to be an interesting read. Dorian and Augustine came together through traumatic circumstances. Dorian then built the relationship around a lie. Can we really expect things to last with a foundation of lies? From there, it just goes downhill. There is some mystery mixed in with the romance. I found the subject (polyamourous) just wasn’t my thing so the story just wasn’t relatable. Some of the issues that the wives went through and Augustine went through felt relatable. The struggle felt real. It was a hard story story to get into. This is just my opinion. However, I do recommend it if this your type of romance. This may be your cup of tea. 🙂 Reasons I enjoyed this book:
book in the WaterFyre Rising series. Even though it is part of a series it can definately be read as a standalone and it is still a great read. The author does an amazing job with the characters. Both of them are Daredevils in their own ways but they both have secrets and demons from their past that still cause them problems today. The author deals with sensitive issues such as eating disorders but it is done in a way that shows the last effect of these problems.
Michelle Yates is a travel blogger she loves new experiences and new places and by travelling the world it keeps her monster at bay. This monster she carries if given the chance will take over her life and she is refusing to allow that to happen so to protect herself she focuses on her work and closes herself off to any other person wanting to get close to her. That is until she meets Royce Viktorsson.
Royce Viktorsson is a successful Billionaire. He wasn’t always this way though and through the trauma of his past it has turned him into a risk taker. Nothing helps him heal the hole inside of him until he meets Michelle. She feels like just the person to help make him whole again, however she seems unavailable emotionally to him which makes him want to know why.
Both of these people have issues that they need to deal with but could they been the remedy to each others problems? As they start to get closer there is an additional danger lurking in the shadows. Someone is out to ruin Royce’s business and with Michelle getting close to him will this also put her at risk as well?
This story is full of danger, secrets, lies and a very passionate love that grows out of a unlikely place. You will be captivated by Michelle and Royce’s story and their journey to heal themselves and each other.

I am definitely looking forward to Book 3!

Oh la la! This book is my favorite so far! Thief is the 4th book in this series but the second one I have read! All the books are intertwined but can easily be read in any order. Personally, I think I would start with book 1 (next to be read!!) Each book references other family members and situations and while it doesn’t take away from the current main characters, I bet the story would be better (if possible) knowing everyone’s story to date. Leah and Dom are the main characters in Thief and their meeting is a little unconventional and exciting and funny.
Dom is known as the Family’s car thief; his job is the last of the illegal business the Family has going. Dom knows he needs to find something else to do as he is feeling something is missing.
Leah is a singer/performer and the center of attention. Sometimes the wrong attention. Leah just wants to be happy, safe and seen for herself, not for her family connections.
This story includes some bad guys and some really, really bad guys. This author creates a world in which the reader can escape to for an exciting adventure. Looking forward to the rest of the stories for this family.
Another cute story about Amaleigha. A six year old little girl with a heart of gold. She reminds me of my 6 year old son. Constantly so thoughtful and caring. Always thinking of others and how to make them happier and their lives better. In this book, she thinks about other kids who may speak and read different languages, and their need for books in their own language! Such a sweet thought. I hope there will be more in this series.

My first book by this author and what a great story. Adrik is a beast in all the ways he needs to be. He looks like a beast, he fights like a beast, he works like a beast and he loves like a beast! However, the one he loves doesn’t know he even exists. Interesting twist is she does see him. Annika is the Bratva princess he is ordered to protect. He has been watching her for a long time and when a real beast closes in on the princess, Adrik has to bring out his inner beast to protect and save her.
This is book 5 in the series and includes may other characters that may already have their own story written. I am definitely going back to read the others as this series/family is intriguing and exciting. I enjoyed both of these main characters and all their “flaws” which really are just personal characteristics. I am also glad to see there are other stories being written about the rest of the family.
I’d recommend this new to me author and her Bratva family to those readers who like a little action, a little romance, a little steamy adult time, and a little plot twist to wrap up a really good story.

Aww this book was sweet. Married couples sometimes drift apart. It was great seeing Max and Ginny reconnecting again. I think as humans we often fear missing out and we let the “what ifs” take over. However, the grass isn’t always greener. Sometimes what we need isn’t what we want. Ginny learned that lesson the hard way. Luckily Max never gave up on her. Perfect Christmas romance story.
This is actually the second novel I’ve read by this author and she’s easily becoming a favorite.

Ginny and Max were best friends turned lovers in high school. Continuing into marriage, which despite everything they had quickly demised. Ginny wanted bigger things out of life. So when the opportunity presented itself she left and filed for divorce blind siding Max in the process. And he let her go, thinking this is what she wants, and it’ll make her happy. He’s hoping to utilize the time they have working on the Jubilee together to sway her to give them another chance. The growth the author displays is exceptional. It reflects two people who love each other, but struggle to communicate and open up. It shows the steps they take now in regards to one another as opposed to the flashbacks of their past. Showing how far they’ve come. But will it be enough? Will Max get his wife back? This is one of those curl up on a rainy/snowy day holiday romances that you won’t want to put down. So grab a blanket and sit on a nice comfy chair, couch, ect and jump in.

Wow, what an unexpected ending! I really enjoyed this book, it’s long like the first one, but you get a bit of a better feel for the characters and more understanding of the world, since most of the world building happened in the first book. I also loved that we got to connect with the old gods of Ireland more, and got more insight to the mythology and history surrounding the country. Just like the first, there’s another very helpful pronunciation guide in the front. This book is definitely full of its own twists and turns!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and it’s definitely an interesting story. It’s almost an Irish X-Men story. The character development throughout the book is something I enjoyed. The book is fairly lengthy, and took me a bit to go through. The writing style is also a little more complex than what I normally read, but I did appreciate that there is a pronunciation guide in the front of the book, considering that while I do have Irish roots, I don’t speak the language very well. If you love modern fantasy/urban fantasy, then this is definitely the book for you!

This was a cute second chance romance read! I really enjoyed the holiday vibes in this one, and the small characters were so sweet. I wasn’t too enthused about it being a second chance book because I don’t really enjoy that trope much but this one was really good. It was great to see the characters reconcile. This book was also very well written I thought. It was funny, emotional at parts and tender hearted. This is the first book I’ve read from this author but I would love to read more in the future!
