My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was not at all sure what to expect from this book. I picked this up just on the title alone as my daughter loves Gnomes and well I was very surprised with the contents. The mystery surrounding Charlie and Bob. The characters are all hiding something about themselves and you just find yourself drawn into their world and wanting to know them for real.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I hope to continue seeing more from her. LOVED this story full of mystery and new experiences with every page you turn.

Delicious Death: Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #2 by Byrd Nash

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Delicious Death is the second book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Series. The author knows how to capture the reader’s attention. I finished this book within an hour.

Elinor is bored by the lack of dead people. She is still looking for her father’s killer, but nothing is coming up. She visits a friend only to be visited by a ghost. The quote I chose for Elinor is: “I’d suggest going as soon as possible. Claude’s spirit should be quiet for about a week, not much longer.”

Highly recommended for Ghost Fantasy lovers.

Joker’s Fool (Satan’s Devils MC #8) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Robin Rankin

Joker’s Fool
Satan’s Devils MC, Book 8

This is the book that introduced me to the Satan’s Devils MC. I was a little late to the game but I’m glad I showed up.

Joker and Lady’s journey from being brothers in the MC to so much more was anything but smooth, but was a journey that was.

So much happens in this book and listening to it was a different experience. There were little things I may have not caught or forgotten so I was as surprised about some things this time as I was the first.

Logan McAllister performance was what I have come to expect from him while listening to this series.

Looking forward to listening to the next book

Elinor Chalamet brings some unexpected intensity to my usually boring evenings! Love love love!! I am completely obsessed with the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mystery series and I can’t wait to read the third book! This series has everything that a cozy mystery needs! Elinor is relatable and intelligent and her relationship with the duke is so much fun to read! This was truly a great installment and it was so easy to fall right back into this delightful paranormal gaslamp fantasy! Even the character development was so realistic between Elinor and the duke it just hints at what’s to come without giving it all away. The ending had my jaw on the floor, very refreshingly unexpected! This book was easy to read but so hard to put down! I felt like I was flying through pages eager to find out more! I highly recommend this book to lovers of cozy gaslamp mysteries and people just looking for a fun series to read! Thank you Byrd Nash!!!

This was a really cute read. It is a very informational children’s book about ladybugs. This is not a book for younger children, I think it would make more sense to older children. The illustrations were cute as well. I look forward to reading this to my daughter when she gets older and understands more about ladybugs and science and has more comprehension when it comes to things like that.

Married Blind is the second book in the Kings of Screen series by Morgana Bevan. I didn’t realise when I snapped up a copy of this book, that it was the second book in the series, and now I have a taste of the Kings of Screen, I will definitely be going back to read the first book, before continuing the series.
Finn’s playboy ways have tarnished his image and affected his acting career. If he has any chance of salvaging what’s left of his career, he really has no choice but to have an image overhaul and change the public’s perception of him. The plan? To play loving husband on a reality TV show. Easy, right? But what happens when the lines get blurred and his two worlds collide? You really should read all the fun developments for yourself.
A fun contemporary romance with a marriage of convenience, a reality TV show, friendships, chemistry, steam, push-pull, angst, banter, drama, and a forced proximity.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Morgana Bevan!

Abi married celebrity from reality show to help her sister with medical bills. Finn a famous celebrity, who needs to show his compassionate side to hopefully stabilize his career. She’s perfect for him. He can’t seem to figure out how to treat her though. It’s easy to mix the fairy tale part of it with the actual reality. Finn and Abi never thought they would fall in love with each other. Must read, fast paced book, makes you keep turning pages.

  1. Ladybugs for Loretta (Loretta’s Insects) is a cute children’s book that is fun for any age and adults will enjoy reading it as well. This is one author I never hesitate to read whatever she writes. My four year old enjoys her books just as much as I enjoy reading them to him. Her stories are fun to read the illustrations are also fun to look at . Each one of her stories teach them something. This one we follow along with a mischievous girl named Loretta who lives with her parents in a cabin in the mountains of Colorado. . Loretta loves the ladybugs that protect her garden but where do the ladybugs go in the winter? I highly recommend reading this children’s book and learn about ladybugs. My son loves books and this author gets big credit. We look forward to reading more from this Author .

Joker’s Fool (Satan’s Devils MC #8) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Amanda Glaspie

I was excited to hear about Joker and his story. I really don’t have anything negative about this book other than it didn’t follow the same pattern of the previous books with the two perspectives, I really would have to have Lady’s thoughts as well. This story was an emotional roller coaster. It made me laugh, cry, and feel the overwhelming love. Great story.

I thought this book was very well written. Finn was a tad bit annoying to me in the beginning. He was pretty much forced on a reality TV show called Married blind. You don’t see the person until you meet at the alter. Finn is so against doing this but it must be done.
Abi is doing it for the money. She’s not looking for a sugar daddy but the show will
Pay her money which she needs to pay her sisters medical bills.
Finn is an actor so he can really
Play the part for the cameras but he’s anything but what he portrays himself as while filming. Is it possible he tries to push Abi away because he’s starting to care about her?
Will this couple
What happens when Abi finds out her sister isn’t doing great and she’s on the other side of the country? Will she stay married or leave to go back where she thinks she is needed? By the end of the book I loved the character of Finn and Abi was great from the very beginning. Great characters, looking forward to more by this author.

I read this book without reading the first two stories, so some pieces of the story were missing for me, but it was easy enough to catch onto the important parts. It’s important to note that the story was told in multiple POV’s, which helped me understand each of the characters a little more. I really enjoyed this tale, especially the author’s world-building and attention to detail! This book was easy to read and completely entertaining, especially since this is the first book I’ve read from this author (and I’ll be looking for more from them for sure). I definitely recommend reading the other books before diving into this one!

This story is so fitting for my life at the moment. My daughter has just discovered bugs and is in the naturally curious phase and this book really seemed to hit on that. We both loved learning new things about ladybugs and it really sparked my daughters imagination. Loretta was just the perfect character for this story and the author really brought her to life.
This author just seems to get better with every book we read and she is really solidifying herself as a family favourite. This is definitely going to be a book that is read multiple times and I can’t want to see what we pick up next.

This was such a fun book. I love that although this is deemed a “Hollywood Marriage of Convenience” I could really picture something like this happening in real life. I loved the characters. At first, I thought Finn was an awful character, he was just really unlikeable. However, as the book went on, I really liked his development and his reasons for keeping himself guarded. I mean expecting Abi to be a gold digger or opportunist really wasn’t a big stretch. Abi was such an amazing character who truly loved her friends and sister, which is how she ended up married to Finn. She was such a charmingly lovely character, despite not having the easiest life she never seemed jaded or angry. I definitely recommend this lovely story as it was an enjoyable and fast read.

Joker’s Fool (Satan’s Devils MC #8) Audiobook by Manda Mellett – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

5 Stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this story with every ounce of my being…the highs and the lows…loved this story! The story of Joker (Josh) and Lady (Scott)…..this M/M MC Romance was superb. We tend to possibly view being in a MC…. Men want to be seen as alpha, strong and macho. Joker is different….part of now the Satans Devils MC….wants to be viewed as such but has a deep secret that he has been imprisoned with since forever. Joker craves and wants to be with fellow MC brother named Lady (Steve)… but Jokers deep emotion turmoil to come out that is so raw, real and heartbreaking tends to bring you on a rollercoaster of pure emotion.

I highly recommend this listen and this series. The author just is fabulous and her details and the amount of emotions she puts in her stories including this one is pure raw.

Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Book 2) by Byrd Nash – Review by Kerry Carr

Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #2)Delicious Death by Byrd Nash
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Madame Chalamet series. I really enjoyed this book. I love the combination of supernatural and mystery.
Elinor is bored. Things have been quiet for her recently and there’s been no reason to use her skills to communicate with ghosts. She is wanting some excitement in her life and boy does she get that when an invitation to the Winter Revels turns from what should be a enjoyable time into a time of mystery and danger as Elinor has to try and figure out who has made the attempt on the Kings life. When her favourite chef is under suspicion of the crime she needs to use all her detective skills to find the person who really committed the crime.
Add to this a widower who needs help grieving their loved one and a young society woman who needs saving from a brute of a man and Elinor is definately over her feelings of boredom.

I love the mixture in this book and how Elinor uses her skills of talking to ghosts to help people as well as solve cases. There is also a slow burn romance in this story which I am excited to see where it leads. Elinor is a strong determined lady who isn’t prepared to give up anything for a man so it will be interesting to see how this will evolve.
I loved it and can’t wait for the next one.

This was such a sweet second chance romance read and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I really liked the characters and really enjoyed their story. I especially oved Max – he was just the sweetest character and I really was rooting for him and Ginny after they reunited after time apart. I think it was obvious that they had a special and genuine connection but because they found it difficult to communicate their feelings to each other their relationship definitely wasn’t smooth sailing!
The setting for this story was cute and definitely gave me that Christmassy feel!
Falling Home was a really lovely read and one that I would highly recommend.

The book The Labyrinthine Journey by Luciana Cavallaro was an exciting and entertaining read. I was definitely entertained by this book, since I read the third book first! So, I had a sense of what was going on, and let me tell you…. this book is just as entertaining as the third book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me entertained until the final page. This book that has action, danger, and Greek Mythology. I loved reading about the character of Evan and seeing how his character was portrayed in this book. He has been ripped from everything he knows in the 21st century and now is having to live a new life in ancient Greece. His father is Zeus and Evan is having to figure out how he is going to get back to the 21st Century. Evan finds out that he is going to have to go on a quest to find ancient relics in hopes that they will help him on his journey back home. Evan finds himself facing many trials and tribulations! All I can say is this book is a must read in order to find out if Evan is successful in his journey or not! Happy Reading!

Minotaur’s Lair (Servant of the Gods Book 3) by Luciana Cavallaro – Review by Mary Espinoza

Minotaur's Lair (Servant of the Gods, #3)Minotaur’s Lair by Luciana Cavallaro
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First of all, let me start with saying…I’m not a normal person and hardly ever read books in order! With that being said, Minotaur’s Lair is the third book in the series and was wonderfully written! This novel could be just read as a stand-alone book, and you wouldn’t be lost! Now I will also add that the story is much more interesting if you read the previous books in the series as well. I actually went back and read the second book, now all I need is to read the first book! This was a fantastic and detailed read, that drew me in and made me feel like I was right there with the characters. Luciana Cavallero has such a unique writing style that is so strong that you can vividly imagine what is happening. This book really ends on a high note! Which is a lot to say because sometimes when you are reading books that are part of a series, you feel like you were left high and dry and didn’t get a great ending!
I for one am very intrigued when it comes to Greek Mythology, and I loved the Greek mythology element that Luciana added to this book. She included quite a bit of information that I was already aware of. I really enjoyed going on Evan’s journey with him. Luciana created a wonderful character that you felt like you were right next to on his journey, and that is despite the fact that he is a twelve-year-old young man! I hope that you will enjoy this page turning book as much as I did! Happy Reading!

I love these types of books where the characters are going through rough times but there is always someone who can change that person.

Royce a hot and living on the edge of life has never meant his one person who can change all that, but destiny can change that for him in a heart where he never knew his friend will become the one to change all of that for him.

Then we have Michelle Yates who runs from her monster and takes a new life to see the world and the beauty that offers her. What she doesn’t know is that her friend is her hero and the one that slays the monster of her life.

Minotaur’s Lair (Servant of the Gods Book 3) by Luciana Cavallaro. This is such a good book. I have loved this series. It is a Greek Mythology story and filled with all kinds of adventures. I do recommend reading the first 2 books before to better understand the characters. There are a ton of characters so you really need to know who is who. There is a list at the end of the book if you get confused during reading. Its the story of Architect Evan Chronis and his crew are trying to locate the 3rd and final relic from the Minotaur. They are attacked by cyclopes, man eating birds and all kinds of crazy things. They even have their memories erased. Will they be able to collect the relic or will they all die trying. Freedom Rings (The Circle Book 3) by Brenda Hardwick. I have loved this series but you do need to read the previous books to fully understand this book. Its a great series after the attempted murder of the Elders and Soraya has had to lead The Circle. She is trying to build a good team that will fight the prejudice of people with different skin colors! Soraya is a very fierce, independent and strong fighter so she usually gets done what’s needs to be done. The action in this book will keep you flipping pages as fast as you can. The book is filled with magic, murder, destruction and good vs evil. I have loved this series and its usually not my favorite genre but I have looked forward to each and everyone of these books. Do yourself a favor and read this book after you’ve read the other two!

The title of this book is so fitting, both main characters are daredevils in their own way. Royce needs to work through his trust and ability to open up to love. Michelle is fighting that monster in her closet which requires daily work. Together their chemistry is undeniable.

Friends to lovers, fake dating, forced proximity, fated moments <3, suspense, and action. What more could you want?
