Tenacious (Billionaire Bodyguards # 6)Tenacious by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The heat between Allie and Nick is magical! Allie and Nick have an intense magnetism that draws them together no matter how much they might try to fight it. Nick is everything she has ever wanted but has been too afraid to hope she could ever have. I really love how this book handles human trafficking, which is such a terrifying ever present problem in the world. Via Mari has created such a romantic, steamy, action packed, swoon worthy story while also shedding light on a very real problem. The ending was absolute perfection and so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

A beautiful love that even time can’t come between. My heart was breaking for Phillip through so much of this story, knowing just how many years he waited and searched for the love of his life. When he finally reconnected with Katherine, the magic between them was electric, even with the passage of so much time. This was my first time reading a story about time travel and this was written so beautifully that I found myself invested from the very first page. My heart was in my throat the entire time, just waiting to see what would happen with Phillip and Kat. I’m counting down the days until I can read part two of their amazing journey.

Vampires and witches, what more could you want? This book gave me serious Vampire Diaries and Originals vibes which is definitely a good thing since I love both shows. The story line captured my attention and drew me right in from the very first page. Alena is fascinating and I really enjoyed reading about her internal struggles as she was discovering herself and coming into her powers. Hunter and Alena are absolutely magical together. Their chemistry is instantaneous and there were some twists in the story that I did not see coming but that I thoroughly enjoyed! I can’t wait to read the rest of this story and find out what happens next.

Wrong For Him (The Love Lottery Series Book 3) by Christi Barth-Review by Elena Tobar

Wrong for Him (Love Lottery, #3)Wrong for Him by Christi Barth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Teague is the perfect wounded prince. My heart broke for Teague during so much of this story. He is such an amazing guy that fought for his country but didn’t feel like he deserved happiness or that he could ever hold on to it. Christi Bart did an amazing job of showing his vulnerability and that scared little boy still locked deep inside of him. Amelia was his beacon of light for so many years that I was rooting for them the whole time. If there were ever two people absolutely meant for each other and soulmates without a doubt it’s Teague and Amelia. This story tugged at my heart and made me shed so many tears while also making me laugh and smile and swoon. This is a book definitely not to be missed!

This book really tugged at my heartstrings. Sasha is such an amazing, spirited woman. It doesn’t take long for Arnaud to realize that he has finally met his match. I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book, where they had to work together to search for clues to lead them to the key. Watching Arnaud and Sasha grow closer and see the sparks fly between the two of them was magical. It was so heart rending to find out more about the health struggles that Sasha is facing and not being sure where the story will lead. The ending was absolutely worth the tears shed on the way there. I am so excited to read the next book in this series and learn more about Theo and his backstory.

Rain is like a phoenix rising from the ashes. I really enjoyed this story. I was pulled in from the very beginning and didn’t surface until I had finished the entire book-the same day. Rain is so broken when she comes across Hunter, and he is broken as well in more than just the physical sense. Watching the way that they start to heal each others’ wounds while living in such a war ridden world, with danger around every corner was beautiful. I couldn’t help but hope for happiness for both of them. There were so many terrifying moments in this book, along with moments of hope, happiness and wonder. I am so excited to read the next book in this series, because there were a few characters introduced in this story that I really want to learn more about!

This is such a charming story. I really enjoyed reading The Boss Prince. It was so much fun seeing places in France mentioned that I have actually been to. It lends such a charm to this story and the humor coming from both Max and Lucie lends a touch of realism to their journey. Too often books leave humor out, and there were so many moments in this book that made me laugh and think that totally sounds like something I could see myself saying or thinking. This is such a fun, romantic, mysterious book and the hidden world that the author, Alix Nicho created is just fascinating! I’m really excited to read the other books in this series and see how things unfold with Mount Evor.

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson-Review by Elena Tobar

Wild Desire (The Protectors, #1)Wild Desire by Toya Richardson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mila and Elias set the pages on fire!!! I absolutely loved the first book in The Protectors series. The first interaction between Mila and Elias is priceless. He lets his emotions take over and doesn’t think before he opens his mouth to firmly stake his claim. I couldn’t help laughing out loud at that. Once I picked this book up I couldn’t seem to tear myself away. There is the perfect combination of romance, heat, danger and action in this book and I really loved all of the other characters that were introduced. I can’t wait to read their stories next! The world that the author Toya Richardson built is like a warm, welcoming extended family that you can’t wait to have a cup of tea with, and just immerse yourself in their magical world.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn-Review by Elena Tobar

Kiss Me Before FlightKiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story of redemption and true love. The author Thia Finn did an amazing job of capturing the terror that an abused woman goes through. She tackled the terror and danger that a victim faces as they make the decision to break loose from their abuser. This book is full of action, adventure and romance. I was on the edge of my seat from the first page to the last and just couldn’t put it down. Conrad and Callie face so much together and there seems to always be something else waiting just around the corner. I really enjoyed seeing the sparks of hope and the thought of a new life start to grow within poor Callie and push her forward to becoming the person she was always meant to be. Be prepared for this amazing book to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride but it is so worth it in the end.

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome To Bunya Junction, Book 2) by Nicole Flockton-Review by Elena Tobar

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #2)Runaway to the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jonas and Pandora are amazing together! Jonas and Pandora were made for each other! I absolutely loved learning more about Bunya Junction and getting to know more about some of the residents there. Pandora is such an interesting heroine. She sweeps into Jonas life like a hurricane and makes him realize that there’s more to life than just work and sticking to self imposed rules that were made because of past hurts. They bring out the best in each other and seeing both of their walls start to crumble was absolutely magical! This second book in the series was incredible and I really enjoyed that Ryan and Sindy’s story continued in this one here and there as well. I am so looking forward to learning more about Scott in the third book in this series! I have a feeling it’s going to be just as amazing.

Starting over is just what the heart needs sometimes. Ryan comes to Bunya Junction for what he thinks will just be a quick stop on his journey through life. Once he realizes he’ll need to stay a little longer, he still has one foot out the door. He can’t help being drawn to Sindy though, even after all the years that passed since they last laid eyes on each other. There’s such a strong undeniable chemistry between the two of them and even though they’re both deeply scarred they gravitate to each other. I really enjoyed watching the two of them come to the realization that what they both least wanted just might be what they need more than anything in the world. This is a sweet romance that really left me smiling at the end. I’m really looking forward to reading the next books in this series.

Tanner and Kayla set the pages on fire!!! The chemistry between Tanner and Kayla is just magical, on so many levels. I really enjoyed how this book explored the realities of being a parent and wanting to put your child’s best interests first. Watching the relationship between Tanner and Kayla develop was magical, heart wrenching, exciting and heart warming. I laughed out loud so many times because Kayla is so honest and real. You also get to read both Tanner and Kayla’s point of view throughout the book which makes it so much better. On the surface this book might appear to be a light romance but once you start reading it, you realize that there is so much more to it than that. It really tugs at the heartstrings and had me holding my breath in so many spots. I will absolutely be looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Scarlet Princess (Lochlann Feuds Book 1) by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison-Review by Elena Tobar

Scarlet Princess (The Lochlann Feuds, #1)Scarlet Princess by Robin D. Mahle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finally, a princess that breaks the mold! This book drew me in from the very first page and didn’t loosen its grip even when I reached the last page. Princess Rowan is such a spitfire that her beautiful red hair absolutely suits her personality. She is the complete opposite of what one would typically expect a Princess to be. She is brave and adventurous and outspoken. The authors did an amazing job of showing just how much one mistake can change your entire life. The way that Rowan handled being suddenly thrust into a different kingdom where women are expected to look pretty and keep quiet was fabulous. She made me laugh out loud so many times and think to myself good for her!
Watching Lord Theodore slowly transition to Theo was priceless. He comes across as a typical stuffy, boring jerk royal until he starts to let his walls down and Rowan has so much to do with that. She upturns his life like a hurricane, but one that he desperately needed. Rowan and Theo really bring out the best in each other. I experienced so many different emotions as I read this book and the ending definitely had my mouth dropped open in shock and eager to read the next book in this series.

Talaith and Kailen’s epic love story blew me away! Victoria Saccenti absolutely blew it out of the waters with this epic love story! I enjoyed The Titianian’s Mate so much that I was expecting this to be a great book as well but it far exceeded my expectations. I was drawn into this magical world from the very first page. The details were so incredible that I could feel all of the emotions flowing between Kailen and Talaith and I absolutely loved watching their story and emotions progress. There was so much action and so many twists interspersed within this incredible romance that I just couldn’t set it down. The ending made me tear up in the best possible way and I cannot wait to read the next installment in this series!

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles #1)To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland

This book tackles misogyny in the best possible way. Titania is such an amazing heroine, that she had me rooting for her from the very first page. I absolutely adore the way that she faced her personal demons and the misogyny surrounding her with grace and fire! Tricia Copeland created a beautiful world that drew me in from the very beginning. This book is full of adventure, magic, wonder and romance, all while dealing with very real issues that unfortunately still affect women the world over. As a woman, I really connected with Titania and the struggles that she faced simply for being a woman. I went through so many different emotions reading this book because it has such depth to it. I am eager to read what’s to come in the rest of this amazing series.

Something Lost (Funerals and Weddings Series Book 1) by Bernadette Marie-Review by Elena Tobar

Something LostSomething Lost by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is about a second chance for a love that was written in the stars. If two people were ever destined to be together, it’s Rachel and Craig. This is not your typical cookie cutter romance which is something I really enjoyed about this book. Sometimes life gets in the way and people can have a not so pretty past, but if it’s meant to be then love will eventually find a way. There is so much emotion in this book, it takes you from gasping and smiling one minute to tearing up the next. There are some unexpected twists and turns that truly give depth to the story. Bernadette Marie really took me on an emotional roller coaster ride with this one and I loved every second of it! I am so excited to read the rest of this series, and see where it takes the other amazing characters that she introduced during this first book.

The Bow (Her Three Immortals, #3)The Bow by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book truly tugs at the heartstrings. How is it even possible that Book 3 in this series is even more amazing than the other 2??? Hazel Storm really outdid herself with part 3 of this series and has quickly become one of my very favorite authors. This book is both heart wrenching and absolutely heart-warmingly, hauntingly beautiful at the same time. My emotions were on a roller coaster the entire time and was one ride I did not want to get off of for even one second. Time absolutely flew when I started reading this book. There is a twist the likes of which I didn’t see coming and I absolutely adore! This book will stick with me for a very long time to come and I am absolutely counting the days down until the final part of this series is released. The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I cannot say enough good things about this book!!! How is it possible that Hazel Storm made this book even more amazing than the first in the series? She absolutely blew my mind with this one. It has a very Alice In Wonderland quality to it which I absolutely love and was not expecting at all! PK and Gargonita are both amazing new characters that are introduced and the heat between Vanessa and Grey is out of this world. There is so much symbolism woven throughout this book that just added to my enjoyment of it. Much like the first book in this series, this one pulls at all of the heartstrings, and all of the emotions and had me absolutely glued to it from page one! I am so ready to start the next book in this series and see what else the amazing author has in store for Vanessa.

The DonThe Don by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely love that Hazel Storm has made Greek Gods characters in her stories. This book had me seriously glued to it from start to finish. I literally could not put it down because I wanted to find out what would happen next. I found myself immersed in another world, experiencing all of the different emotions that Vanessa felt as she found herself drawn to two people that are complete opposites. Raef is pure and light like Vanessa, and Grey is dark and dangerously sexy. Both of them are irresistible in their own ways.
I really enjoyed how this book made me ponder life after death and just what awaits you at the end of this lifetime. It does so in a way that steals your breath away and leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I smiled, laughed, teared up and gasped with shock at various parts of this book. This amazing story will run you through the entire gamut of emotions. My mouth was wide open at the twist ending and I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. Do yourself a favor and get lost in the world that Hazel Storm has so eloquently created.

No Way Out (Mafia Elite, book 1) by Amy McKinley-Review by Elena Tobar

No Way Out (Mafia Elite, #1)No Way Out by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book absolutely blew me away! Amy McKinley is such a talented author. Liliana and Max are both extremely multi-dimensional characters and I really enjoyed getting to read the story from the view point of each of them. Liliana comes across initially as a cool and indifferent, but a total kick-butt woman that takes crap from no one. However, as the story develops, you get to see a completely different side of her-a side that is scared and lonely and craving a sense of belonging. Then there’s Max. He turns out to be so much more than just a hunky, muscular man that won’t let anyone stand in the way of his end goal.
Max and Liliana bring out the best in each other and I was rooting for them the whole way! This book truly has a little bit of something for everyone-romance, suspense, action and heat. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the next book in this series.

Code Name: Vulture, The Order of the Condor Series Book 1) by Maya Daniels and Sylvia Black-Review by Elena Tobar

Code Name: Vulture: Dark Vampire Romance (The Order of the Condor Series Book 1)Code Name: Vulture: Dark Vampire Romance by Maya Daniels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book drew me right in from the very first page. The authors paint such a vivid picture every step of the way that it felt as if I were a part of the world that they created. I lost an entire day without even realizing it because I kept wanting to read just one more page to find out what would happen next. I honestly cannot remember the last time that I was so engrossed in a book that I finished it all in one day. As a mom of five children, sleep is usually priceless, but this time I did not regret getting less sleep one bit!
This is not your typical vampire fluff novel, there’s romance, action, mystery and a twist that was a pleasant surprise. The heroine Danielle is not as soft and meek as she might appear at first glance, nor is Vulture all that he appears to be on the surface. If you’re a fan of supernatural and vampire romances this is a must read. I really enjoyed how multi-dimensional each of the characters were and the set up for the next book in the series was integrated seamlessly. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series, and I am off to discover more books by this amazing author.
