My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow this book is fire! This has been my favorite book in the series so far. It was amazing! I really enjoyed getting to learn all about grown up Miles and the incredible man that he’s become. The electricity between Miles and Bella is incredible and I loved watching them both try to fight it. The way that they slowly grow closer open up to each other is incredible. You can tell that they are truly soul mates and the way that he’s so tender with her is swoon worthy. They make an incredible team, professionally and personally. There’s lots of action as well as romance and I am so ready to read the next book in this series!

Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga, #2)Act II. Playing with Fire by Michele Sims
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was so good, it really delves into the young boy that Miles has become. Cade and Lecia face some difficulties in their marriage that they need to find a way to work through. Miles is sweet and means well but he is more than a handful and juggling that along with a career and trying to keep their relationship strong is quite a strain for them. There is just as much action and suspense as in the first book in this series, as well as emphasizing the importance of family and working together as a team. I can’t wait to read more about this amazing family and see what happens with Miles next. This is such a good series I definitely recommend starting with the first book if you haven’t read it yet because it will give much needed background info on all of the key players.

This is a sweet love story with a twist. This book is full of action and suspense and pulled me right into the world of Cade and Lecia. This book really shows how much the dynamic between a married couple can change once a child is soon to enter the picture. The love between Cade and Lecia is so tender and sweet and it’s obvious how much Cade loves her even though they go through a rough patch or two. This book took a terrifying turn that had me on the edge of my seat eager to see what would happen next. I really enjoyed the scenes with the extended family in it and seeing the traditions and closeness that each of the families has. The ending was great and definitely left me eager to know more. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book this series.

This is such a heartbreaking story. This story follows the lives of three different young ladies that each find themselves pregnant and unmarried. This book really tackles the sexism and the racism that unfortunately were so prevalent back then. They were forced to give their babies up and in the midst of their fear and forced silence they bond and become friends. Years later they’re brought back together and searching for answers. There are some unexpected twists in this story and I’m so happy that they all get closure in the end. This is a must read that will really open your eyes to the emotional turmoil that so many young women suffered through.

The heat between Sam and Ellie is smoldering but there’s a much deeper connection between them, just longing to be explored. Fate had Sam dial Ellie’s number that night when they were each so close to ending it all. They found a lifeline in each other and the evil monster that is his father brought them even closer together. When I read what that monster did to Sam when he was a young boy my heart absolutely broke for him. No child should have to go through that. Ellie is just the gentle soul that he needed to begin to heal his wounds and allow him to feel his heart again and give him a reason to live. There is so much action and danger in this story and so much heartbreak, until the very amazing ending that took my breath away. This story is incredible and absolutely one not to be missed!

Katrina and Gabe are hilarious and their chemistry is insane! This book is so great. Not only does it have romance and the supernatural, it’s laugh out loud hilarious. Katrina and Gabe are each pissed off at the other when they first cross paths but there’s also an undeniable attraction between them. They both have a past they’re trying to escape from and the devil doesn’t want either of them to be happy. Watching them both work to best the devil was great and watching them fall in love was even better. The ending was unexpected and so perfect it really made me smile. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more books from this author.

I absolutely could not put this book down! I love this story so much. Ever since I read the first book in this series, I’ve been waiting for CC to meet the right man and have her chance to fall in love. Even though CC comes across as tough and not caring what other people think, she’s actually really vulnerable and doesn’t have much self confidence at all. She thinks there’s no way that a hot man that went to college to be in the medical field would ever be interested in her. She underestimates herself and how amazing she is constantly. Brant is dealing with his own demons from his past and he falls so fast for CC. I love how he picks a special nickname that’s sweet and just for him to call her and Memaw is back in this one and hilarious as ever! I can’t say enough good things about this sweet amazing romance. It’s one that’s definitely not to be missed!

This is such a beautiful romance. Annie is such a wild, strong woman that isn’t afraid to be different and I absolutely love that about her! Her granny sounded like such a fun person and she really learned her love for animals and living life to the fullest from her. I really enjoyed the humor sprinkled throughout the sweet moments of romance and the way that Annie and Wyatt heal each other. Wyatt is so haunted and a shell of who he used to be when he returns home. Luckily he ends up asking Annie for a job and she starts to wriggle her way under his rough exterior from the very first meeting. They’re so adorable as they’re getting to know each other and growing closer. They have a couple of obstacles to work through but the ending is amazing and it definitely made me tear up. This is a book that you won’t want to miss.

Poor Becky thinks she finally has her life figured out and on the blissful path that she’s been longing for when suddenly obstacles are thrown in her path. She faces tragedy and so many struggles that I never saw coming in the finale to this series. She is such a strong amazing woman that she finds a way to persevere and make it through to the other side. My mouth literally fell open in shock at several twists in this story and I was so very happy to see how the series wrapped up. The ending definitely made me tear up.

This is such a sweet story of starting over. This is a really great romance centered around country life. Becky has had such a hard time with men and it’s made her really cautious about opening herself up to another man and really giving it her all. Chance is so different from the other men she’s met. He sees something special in Becky the first time he lays eyes on her and he’s willing to wait as long as it takes and to take things as slowly as she needs to be comfortable. When she finally does let her guard down and lets Chance in they are so adorable together and Cassidy is just the incing on the cake. There are twists and turns in this story that kept me turning the pages until I reached the absolutely beautiful ending. This is a sweet wholesome romance not to be missed.

This is an edge of your seat romance with a sci-fi twist. I’ve never read a sci-fi romance before and I am so happy that I did and that this was my first one. This story absolutely sucked me in from the very first page. Poor Asia randomly loses three entire hours of her life and when she comes to, she realizes that everything that matters to her is suddenly gone. No mother should ever have to go through what she did. On her quest for answers and peace she ends up meeting Ethan who comes to mean so much more to her than simply a psychiatrist. The energy between them both from their very first meeting is magical and I absolutely loved watching them grow closer. There is so much mystery and danger that you never know what will happen next. The ending for this book was beautiful and this is a book that you definitely don’t want to miss.

This is a must read sci-fi romance. I love that this book has characters in it from previous books in this series. This book is just as amazing as the others in this series and I definitely recommend that you go back and read the others if you haven’t yet. It’ll give you some important background on this story line as well as some of these characters. Jace is actually the great grandson of Ida, which I find really fascinating. There is so much action and suspense in this book that you never know what will happen next. Sara is so strong and gutsy, and I love the sparks between her and Jace. I didn’t see the ending coming but it actually makes perfect sense and definitely brought a smile to my face.

This is an amazing finale to an incredible paranormal series. This book is amazing! I loved this series so much and the final book in this series exceeded my really high expectations after enjoying the first two books so immensely. There is so much danger, action, and incredible love between Levi and Tasha. They have a bond like nothing else and are just sheer magic together. I love that Levi is just as protective and sweet with Tasha as he is fierce on the battlefield. I was glued to this book from beginning to end and I am so sad that this series has come to an end. But, at the same time I was so happy with how it all was wrapped up in the end. This is a series that I will enjoy reading through from start to finish multiple times because it is just that incredible!

This is such an incredible supernatural romance. I love this book so much! Levi and Tasha are such incredible characters. They’ve been taught from birth to view the other species as the enemy, but during their first encounter, their hearts somehow recognize the truth that they aren’t enemies at all. This is a perfect example of hating what you don’t understand and just how wrong preconceived ideas can be. They’re drawn to each other and can’t resist the other even though it could kill them if they’re found out. There’s so much danger surrounding them and it just seems to continue to get worse. I was on the edge of my seat from the very first page to the last. If the next books in this series are anywhere near as incredible as this one, I cannot wait to read them.

Trentino and Angel are made for each other. Watching them grow close, seeing the heat between them and the way that their souls just seem to immediately click was breathtaking. I absolutely loved how Angel, Lucianna, Delilah and Embry become fast friends. The four of them together are just so funny that I couldn’t help laughing out loud, especially when they got busted in Trentino’s dungeon after Angel had been told to stay out. She definitely knew what she was doing when she went down there against his warnings. There are so many twists and turns in this story that I never saw coming and that had me eagerly glued to it from the very first page. There’s betrayal, romance, strong females, powerful dominant vampires, witches, shifters..what more could a girl want? You definitely don’t want to miss out on this book and I highly recommend that you start this series from the beginning because it will make so much more sense if you do.

Claire yearns to know what happened to her mother right before her eyes when she was such a young girl. Unfortunately, the gentle medicine woman comes face to face with the terrifying, evil Archbishop Anarch. There’s a really big twist revealed at the end that shows just how much of a monster he truly is. This is a really gripping book that drew me right in from the very first page to the last.

Christian and Delilah work to defy the odds together. I’m so glad that this second story in this series is about Christian and Delilah because I’ve been waiting since book one to find out more about the two of them! The horror that she witnessed while she was there is enough to rock anyone to the core and so once again she runs from Christian. There are so many forces working against them but they have a deep love that can’t be ignored or denied. Salvatore and Lucianna are truly meant to be. I really enjoyed the first book in this series. The details in this book are incredible and I really enjoyed hearing all of the details about how everything started. I think it’s perfect that the Overmaster was the first to have his story told. The attraction between Lucianna and Salvatore is intense even just from them each simply laying eyes on the photograph of the other. Once they’re actually in the same room together, there’s no denying something very special is between them and that fate is drawing them closer and closer. There is so much action and mystery in this story along with romance and heat. It’s truly magical seeing the big, gruff, powerful Overmaster melt when it comes to his Lucianna. When the truth is revealed about her past I absolutely swooned-it was so perfect! Some amazing background characters are introduced in this first book and I’m so exited to read their stories too!

This is a story about childhood friends that are cruelly torn apart. Poor Kirsa has had her best friend and the boy she’s been in love with since she was a small girl ripped away from her. Brock has always been the boy that captured her heart and is never far from her mind. It’s heartbreaking to see how he’s gone from being her protector to her tormentor in the blink of an eye. It takes another guy moving in on his territory for him to finally snap out of it and realize that he may just have jumped to conclusions and misjudged her this entire time. The real question is how much can one girl take before she breaks and pushes you away for good? This book pulled me right in from the very first page and I just couldn’t set it down. Madison swoops right into Jared’s life like a hurricane and knocks him right off his feet before he even realizes what’s happening. I really love that Jared has a stutter and he isn’t portrayed as this perfect shallow rock star, it makes him so much more endearing and adorable! He is so heart meltingly sweet with his father who has some memory issues. Madison misjudges Jared so harshly in the beginning nut once she meets him in person she realizes just how wrong she was. Once she starts to let her walls down, he works his way into her heart just as deeply as his father has. There are so many sweet moment interjected with the tears along the way, that this book had me hooked from the very first page.
