Juliet’s Journey to Love (Great Smoky Mountain Getaways Book 1) by Elsie Davis-Review by Elena Tobar

Juliet's Journey to Love (Great Smoky Mountain Getaways, #4)Juliet’s Journey to Love by Elsie Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a heart warming story. It’s really a journey through life and all of the difficulties and obstacles that can pop up along the way. Jake and Juliet seem like complete opposites at first, but they are brought together for a reason. Each is what the other needs most, if they can just let go and take a chance at life and love. Jack has been through so much and Juliet had given up on finding love but as they grow closer together, they both begin to change their outlook on life. This is such a good book that once I started reading I just couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Stella is living it up! This book absolutely sizzles! Stella is a surgeon at MetroGen and she lives life to the fullest. It’s so nice to see a woman being portrayed as in touch with her sexual needs and not afraid to have a little fun. Too often it’s only men that are portrayed that way. She has a whole lot of fun with three different men and there is a major plot twist along the way. I did not see the ending coming, my jaw literally dropped because it’s such a cliffhanger. I love how unique this story and the ending are and I cannot wait to read the next books in this series.

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a sweet inspirational love story. The author really brings the story to life with her vivid descriptions. She paints a picture that drew me right into the story from the very first page and made me feel like I was a part of it. Faith and Nico come from such different backgrounds but they find themselves drawn together when he takes on a job as her uncles apprentice. It isn’t fair how class differences can come into play so dramatically when it comes to relationships. This book does a good job of showing the obstacles that a couple from different backgrounds can face. Nico finds him self in trouble through no fault of his own and Faith really has to lean on her beliefs and those closest to her to make it through the storm. This is a sweet romance that you won’t want to miss. I am definitely looking forward to reading future books in this series.

This book seriously blew me away because this is such a good book. Grace finds herself immediately drawn to Ian when she answers his offers to stay at his apartment rent free and she only has to cook dinner for him in return. He burns hot and cold with her constantly and he won’t open up and share what he’s hiding beneath the surface. Grace does her best to hold back emotionally from him because she fears he loves another woman. They just can’t seem to stay away from each other though and the secret that comes out absolutely blew me away! They both have so much hurt in the past and they just might be able to heal each other if they can only get past all the secrets and truly trust and let each other in. This is a book that you definitely are not going to want to miss and I am so looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Sophie and Gil were made for each other. I just couldn’t put this book down once I started it. The connection between Sophie and Gil is so obvious from the very beginning of this book. They’re so comfortable with each other that it’s only natural that the chemistry between them will be so intense too. These two are just so perfect for each other and their nicknames are just the cutest! But, so many obstacles keep getting in their way. It’s a journey full of twists and turns where I just wasn’t sure what would happen next, but the ending made me want to jump up and down with happiness. This is an incredible book that you won’t want to miss and I can’t wait to read the next ones in this series.

This is such a sweet, original love story. I really enjoyed this book. It brings together two people that don’t care too much for each other until they’re forced to work together undercover. Amara and Petro are forced to get to really know each other. That’s when the sparks start to fly and they realize there’s more to each other than they originally thought. I really enjoyed watching their feelings grow. The characters are so great in this story and it tackles the difficulties and hesitations some people have when it comes to getting involved with someone when there’s an age difference.

This is such a great, emotional paranormal romance. This story had me enthralled from the very first page. There is romance, the paranormal, and it also tackles the very real issue of abusive relationships and the toll that they take on a person. Julia finds herself in an abusive situation and struggles to make her way out of it. She will have to give up certain things for the chance to gain so much more along with a real chance at happiness. This book has me eager to read the next in this series.

This book blew me away because it’s just that amazing. I got pulled in right from the very first page. It was great seeing characters from previous books in this series pop up too. Hope is in such a terrifying situation and Russ is the first real connection she’s had in such a long time that she really wants and enjoys. He isn’t just work for her and he feels that special connection that he was craving in his loneliness too. There is so much danger and action in this book that I was on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting to see what would happen next. It starts out as a business arrangement but feelings begin to develop and it isn’t long before they’re both wishing for more. Gem is such a strong, amazing woman. She doesn’t take crap from anyone, she’s tenacious and she isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. She’s been through so much in life, but she doesn’t let that steal away thoughts of a happily ever after for her. Shep introduces her to Rage but she knows from the beginning that he isn’t forever, he’s just for right now. There is betrayal and violence in this story that I didn’t see coming but Gem is a strong woman and she doesn’t let life keep her down for long. She keeps getting knocked down but always drags herself back up and she manages to truly find herself and her destiny along the way. This is a book with a lot of violence, but it also has some beautiful heart melting moments as well. You definitely won’t want to miss this one if you enjoy MC romances.

This is such a beautiful historical romance. I was instantly transported to the past, where Charmaine has to look for a suitable match if she doesn’t want her family home to be passed on to a distant male relative. It isn’t fair that a woman had to make such choices back then simply because she was a female. However much Charmaine wants to do what is best for her family and her home, she still wants that true love even though she fears she will never find it. She ends up crossing paths with Kosta and the attraction is immediate and undeniable. She doesn’t feel that he is the match that she should make but her heart tells her otherwise. He’s hiding a big secret that can make all the difference for their future. I really enjoyed this book, it’s absolutely a swoon worthy romance that had me hooked from the first page. This is a captivating shifter book. Aranha is such a great heroine. She’s strong and beautiful and she has such a big heart. I was pulled right into the colorful world that the author creates from the very first page. This is so different from the other shifter stories that I’ve read and I absolutely loved it! There’s so much action, and the electricity between Aranha and Dag is incredible! I was fascinated by the Garden of Eden theme, how so much was shielded from everyone and faded into the background until it was brought back in a very startling way! It was great seeing the interactions between the different species that happens in this book, it’s one book that you definitely won’t want to miss.

Fate has other plans though when she crosses paths with Theo. They can’t stop thinking about each other and as much as she resists she feels her heart starting to open back up and her walls start to crumble. This book is full of danger, romance and a second chance at getting love right this time around. This book is scorching hot and it sucked me right in from the very first page. I absolutely love how Leslie breaks the mold in so many ways. She isn’t afraid to take chances and go after what she wants in her personal life. She also works in a male dominated field and it’s horrifying the things those monsters put her through simply because she is a woman. Trevor is such a sweet, patient man. He doesn’t let her scare him away with all of the walls that she keeps throwing up and he loves to take care of her and show her that it doesn’t mean she’s weak if she leans on him sometimes. This book is full of heat, romance and danger and tackles misogyny. This is a definite must read and I’m so excited to read the next book in this series.

The strength of Titania just blows me away! Poor Titania, even as a Queen that has proved herself many times over there are still those that plot and doubt her simply because she is a woman. She has so many obstacles thrown in her path and she gets knocked down so many times, even by those she least expects to ever hurt her. However, through it all Titania keeps it together and is strong for her people. As much as she would love to just wallow and act her age for just a few minutes she lets her personal life affect her ruling of the kingdom. She always has their best interests at heart and she fights for her people with everything she has even when all seems hopeless and insurmountable. She is everything that a royal should be and her true inner light really shines through in this book. I definitely recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t yet because they definitely build on each other. This is a magical special book that you won’t want to miss.
