To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland was a great fantasy read! I loved Titiana and was hooked for more of her story at the beginning. She is tenacious and strong, but also very relatable with her anxieties and worries. I immediately had a thousand questions, the pacing kept me at the edge of my seat. I love all things Fae and Fantasy and I was not disappointed by this read at all. I cannot wait for a reread all ready.

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast is the third book in The Untold Stories Series by Suzanna Lynn. I highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already. I absolutely loved this book it’s my favorite yet. This whole series is one im definitely going to be re-reading several times. This author continues to totally blow me away with her different takes on classic fairytales. Get ready to be taken on quite the journey with Lycos, Red ,and Rapunzel as the set off to the land of Oz. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Can Lycos save the princess from the Beast? I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

The Ocean’s Light (Blood of the Pirate Book 1) by Mina Chara is an adventurous pirate fantasy spun artfully around the main character Evie Waters. Evie is a 19 year old orphaned-as-an-infant young woman who despite her shortcoming makes up for it in her charismatic determination and intelligence. The diverse supporting cast of secondary characters bring her quest to find her parents on the high seas to life. The author truly gave these characters depth and life that does wonders in keeping the plotline moving in a captivating way. While the book’s target audience is YA it is also befitting for readers in the New Adult and Adult age groups who enjoy a delightful adventure that will truly suck you into the tale.
Another aspect to enjoy about this story is that you have a vast water encompassed world explored through Evie’s quest. Different nooks and crannies of the ports and islands that Evie finds herself are presented in a way that you can imagine the settings vividly without losing the story’s pace. The imagery of the different ships, bustling markets, divey bars, and (starkly different) posh palace interiors give the fantasy world a sense of wondrous tangibility.
The action is balanced with humor and tender moments throughout the book. Though Evie was raised an orphan she is able to find a home for herself and more on the seas with her newfound companions. The ending to this first book is well written and seems to close Evie’s initial adventures. As a reader I can’t wait to dive into the second book.

A cozy Fantasy book to curl up with. This plot has loads of wonderful themes – pirates, kidnappings, treasure maps and adventure. Evie Waters, the teenage orphan heroine, is a nerdy, book-loving cartographer-wannabe who longs to explore the world. She is smart, with a near-perfect memory, and although she yearns for faraway lands, she is soft-spoken and timid. When events conspire to allow her to live out her dreams, she demonstrates her savvy and inborn intuition that help her to follow the clues left behind by her parents.
This is a light, fun read with plenty of action to keep readers engaged. I found Evie personally to be a bit stereotypical (they leaned on the nerd trope of her eyeglasses a bit much) but she did evolve as the book wound on, and the story became a comfy read through her adventures to the end of this book.

I give The Ocean’s Light (Blood of the Pirate Book 1) by Mina Chara, 5 stars.
What I really enjoyed about this action/adventure book was that it delves right into things, not stringing it out, but getting right into the action. A book involving a treasure map and searching by boat for treasure usually keeps us on the boat for quite a while as they travel to where they believe is the right place. Not so with this book. The author puts us into things so much sooner. But don’t get me wrong, the story does not feel rushed at all. The story itself is also so enjoyable. It reminds me of Indiana Jones meets Pirate of the Caribbean, with a supernatural element.
Then there are the characters. Although the character is young adult, this book is very enjoyable for all adults. Evie is so good as the main character. A little naive in the beginning, she learns as she goes and rely on her gut to tell her who is good people. Not your average pirate, she quickly learns to be useful. The other characters, both good and bad, help round out this book. Each one is unique and an asset to the book.
If you enjoy action/adventure set around the old pirate world, I highly recommend this book. I, for one, could not put it down until I finished. I also anxiously await book two.

This Young Adult (YS) series is awesome. I love the fact that we have been through two stories now and this one makes three. It is a true Fantasy. We have been with Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, and now it is Beauty and the Beast’s story. Once you recognize the story, it becomes refreshing that there is a bit of a twist in the story. I felt like the story had a fast pace to it. Also, the characters are complex and fully developed. That to me is important when I can relate to the characters. I highly recommend this book and this series to all, especially fairy tale fans.

Having read the first two books in the Untold Stories by Suzanna Lynn, I could not wait to read Wolf’s Beautiful Beast! I have really enjoyed this new take on many fairy tales. This story follows “the big bad wolf” as he leaves the forest, ironically with Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel. They come across what would classically be known as Beauty and the Beast, although this does not end as you think it will. It is fun to have characters such as Little Miss Muffet in small character roles, as well as big characters such as Goldilocks and the Bears. This story is fantastic as part of a series and as a stand alone. Overall, such a fun and entertaining read!

If you love stories that include pirates, adventures to far away places, treasure and just fantasy stories in general then you will love Mina Chara’s The Ocean’s Light. The Ocean’s light is filled with miraculous treasure, swashbuckling pirates, and very detailed character and location descriptions that make you feel like you’ve been pulled to the depths of the ocean. Miss Chara grabs her readers attention from page one and never lets it go. I’m not sure what I expected when it came to this adventure story but i can certainly say that it was truly a breath fresh air. Much like miss Chara’s Hero High series I couldn’t put this first book down and I can’t wait for the next installment.

I have read this author before and I was not disappointed. I found the story to be unique and orginal story. The characters just really come right off of the page. I really found myself getting swept up into the story and felt as though I am right there in the midst of the action. The plot is refreshing and really gripping. I could not put this book down.
I really could feel Evies’s pain and really was hoping for the best. This story had a lot of twists and turns. I could feel the pull between Evie and Captain Rama. I could feel her pain and her emotions as the story unfolded. I very much look forward to reading more from this series.

Author Suzanna Lynn likes to put a new spin on traditional Fairy tales. This story adds new life to an old tale, little red riding hood, the difference is in this story we get to learn how Hook finds the ash. Also we meet Rapunzel. Enough said, however because I encourage you to read the book actually I encourage you to read both the first one and this one. I promise you won’t be disappointed. This author is very talented. Wolf’s Beautiful Beast: The Big Bad Wolf and Red Riding Hood, join Rapunzel to battle a beast bu Suzanna Lynn is the third book in the Untold Stories series. This is a clever and original series that takes classic stories and puts a unique twist on them. I’ve found this whole series to be so exciting so far and this book is no exception. I was pulled straight into the story and the characters, some of which we are already familiar with. The series doesn’t necessarily need to be read in order but I would certainly recommend it for continuity and full enjoyment. This book is a great addition to this series and really added even more to what has already been done. It was well written and packed full of everything you could want. I would certainly recommend this book!

I have been on a roll of amazing paranormal reads lately! This YA paranormal fantasy read is incredible! This author has created such a unique world with amazing characters that kept me entertained from the beginning until the very end.
I absolutely loved all of the details laid out in the story, it made it really easy to picture everything playing out in my mind and I thoroughly enjoyed how this story played out. It was intense, captivating, action-packed and a real page turner.
Now that I’ve reached the end I can’t wait to read more from this series asap.

This is a fun filled, adventure packed, exciting pirate adventure from the word go. Captured by pirates who want her treasure map, orphaned Evie Waters becomes embroiled in a quest to find the much-coveted Ocean’s Light. The Ocean’s Light given by the sea, is able to grant a wish to those who posses it. Evie is convinced the Light holds the answers to who her parents are and will reveal what her destiny is. The plot was easy to follow yet still interesting and I really enjoyed the character development and the different personalities of everyone involved in the book. I’m happy to see that this is part of a series and I can’t wait to find out what the feisty Evie and the crew of the Easy Money get up to next.

This is the third in the series and after loving the first two I was really looking forward to this one. Lynn didn’t disappoint. We followed, Rose, Lycus and Rapunzel as they began their journey to Oz with justice and vengeance in mind. After becoming shipwrecked in a storm at sea, Red and the gang fall on the hospital of the Kingdom of Bruen. But all is not as it seems. I really enjoy Lynn’s retellings, and this had the sharp, witty storytelling that I have come to expect. This was yet again a fantastic twist on much loved fairy-tale but remaining original and exciting. I am very much looking forward to the next one in series and seeing what adventures the gang get up to next.
I was hooked on the “Untold Stories” from the beginning and Wolf’s Beautiful Beast got me even more addicted from page one. Wolf’s Beautiful Beast is the 3rd installment to the “Untold Stories”, and I could not wait to get my hands on it. Suzanna Lynn has certainly outdone herself with the retelling of classic stories. Once again Suzanna Lynn gives us fabulous character descriptions, along with fantastic descriptions of all the lands that our brave and adventurous characters travel too, making her readers feel as if they are traveling right along with her characters. Growing up Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite Disney story, so I knew I would love Wolf’s Beautiful Beast right away. Filled with far off kingdoms, shape shifting, princess’s, and many other favorite fairy tale characters not only do i highly recommend Wolf’s Beautiful Beast but i recommend the whole “Untold Stories” series. I can’t speak for everyone but I for one can’t wait to see where Suzanna Lynn takes us next.

This isn’t a new author for me, I’ve read multiple books by Ms. Chara before. Which is why the second I saw this new series, I was all over it. This was fantastic and beautifully written. The story itself was a bit different than I first imagined it would be. I guess that’s why I’m the reader and not the author, because it was done perfectly. This story follows Ms. Evie Waters as she tries to search for the one thing her parents left her when she was taken to the orphanage. This adventure has pirates, magic, sea creatures and puzzles to keep you guessing. Absolutely recommend and can’t wait for the next book!

This book was better than the second and third! I definitely didn’t see a lot of the things coming that happened. What happens after you rescue your best friend/sidekick’s sister and barely survive the last visit Drimera? Well for Dahlia instead of things going up things go down. She finds out the truth about someone she has known for a very long time and even considered him a mentor. But what do you do with the information? What do you when you find someone who is close with your partner but they believe him to be dead? What do you do when the sister you just rescued willing goes back to Drimera with Aidric and Alex Creed? And to top it all off all hell breaks loose on their world. Welcome to the apocalypse! This book had me hooked with every twist and turn. I’m so glad I stuck with series and if there is a 5th book I will be reading.

The Ocean’s Light is the first book in the new series Blood of the Pirate, by Mina Chara. I have read her Hero High series, and enjoyed it, but this book is so much different. It is really different from anything I have ever read. It kind of reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean. There is a lot of adventure, with three different crews fighting over a map to reach the most important treasure of all, the Ocean’s Light. Evie is stuck in the middle of it all, with all 3 crews fighting over her, as it was her map to start with. There is Captain Rama’s crew, with first mates Slim and Bulk, who became somewhat of friends to Evie. There is Captain Hammer, and his crew of sons, which seem to always be after Rama’s ship. And then Captain Luna, who is a soldier, trying to recover the map for his queen. There is so much going on, action packed adventure on every page. Evie may be an orphan child, but she is tough, and cleaver. The supporting characters have vivid descriptions, allowing the reader to envision them all and ‘watch’ the story unfold. This book is a YA, geared toward teens, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, in my 30s. Well done Chara.

This is a very enjoyable book to read. RED AND Rapunzel are very faststicing characters. I loved getting to see Red again and get more of Wolf’s backstory. Beauty and the Beast vibes take precedence in this book and I loved the tension and tender moments between Wolf and the princess. This combines the big bad wolf with beauty and the beast. I really hope Suzanna Lynn doesn’t get tired of doing these because they are an amazing combination.

As a reader who enjoys action, suspense, and a story that keeps me on my toes, I can whole-heartedly recommend this book. The Ocean’s Light (Blood of the Pirate Book 1) by Mina Chara is SUCH a good read. I was immediately swept up in the story and the characters. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I am stoked that it is only the first in this series. This YA adventure book is full of many things that will appeal to even the most finicky of readers. If you have a young adult (or even older adult) that is a hesitant reader, this story is sure to capture their imaginations and be an exception for them. The main character, Evie, is a well-developed protagonist who takes a leap and sets out on a swashbuckling adventure. Aboard the ship Easy Money, Evie clashes with Captain Hammer as they fight to get to The Light and treasure first. Some books are really good at dissolving the real world around you and absorbing you into its story – this is definitely one of them! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone.

Okay so I cannot get enough of this series, it’s flipping amazing and Lynn should go down in history as one of the best authors of adapted works. I hardly recognise the classic tales that they are from because they have their own beautiful and unique life and story to tell. Rapunzel has set Lycus free from his curse, no longer doomed to wander the Blakx Forest as a wolf, he joins forces with Rapunzel and Red who are on their way to the Land of Oz, (honestly could not contain my excitement). Problems occur when he is stranded on Bruen, a land with a terrible tale to tell of a fearsome beast and a princess held captive. Lycus joins the efforts to find this beast and slay it, rescuing the defenseless damsel. However, when Lycus gets captured by this same beast he realises that things may not be quite as he’d first been led to believe. This series is so so awesome, I cannot recommend it enough. Get reading, you won’t regret it.

Liam is sixteen and everyone and everything seems to mess with him. He’s like a magnet. I’ve been unlucky and I’ve had bad things happen but Liam is more likely to have them happen than not! It’s almost tragic reading the first part of this story until Kenna saves Liam’s life and things start to change. Imaginative and unlike any other story I have read, I enjoyed this book very much!

The Ocean’s Light is the first book in Mina Chara’s Blood of the Pirate series. I’ve enjoyed reading Chara’s Hero High series and have often contemplated running away and becoming a pirate so was eager to get into this new series. Evie is a cool protagonist. She gives up a secure, if uninteresting life to follow a treasure map that’s all she has left of her parents. Intelligent and determined, often to the point of recklessness, she’s met her match in the resourceful pirates and captivating mystery that surround her and her mission. This is a great book for teen and young adult readers who enjoy pirates and action, with fantasy elements and puzzling mysteries. It’s got plenty to engage and entertain, with a loveable, if rough, crew of characters. For me, this is a five-star book. I’m looking forward to reading more of the series!

This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. This one is no different. This is a young adult story which I fully enjoyed from beginning to end. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me engaged throughout. It is well developed where you feel as if the story is realistic. The characters are relatable and really made the story for me. This is a story about Titana is a fae who has lost her brothers and is about to take the throne. There is evil looming and a darkness that could leave them all damned. What happens next you don’t want to miss. It is a story full of magic and action. I truly enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.

This is the second Book in Suzanna Lynn’s series. Let me just say I love this book! The way she weaves her storyline and the richness of the characters just gets better with each turn of the page. In the first book we saw a glimpse of captain Jameson Shaw (later captain James hook) make a friend in Red riding hood. In this book we see that it was not a chance encounter but an alliance in the making. We are getting closer to the all powerful villains but will they be able to trust and get there in time? Read and find out! you will be on the edge of your set and reaching for the next book in no time.

My first read by this author and I went in blind as the cover grabbed my attention. Like with any new author, it takes a little bit to learn the writing style and flow and after a few chapters I was engaged. A really good read in a genre thats not always my first choice. The only big downside for me was trying to keep names straight and pronunciation of names, they were a bit difficult and caused me to pause in my reading.

Red’s Tangled Tale is the second book in The Untold Stories Series by Suzanna Lynn. This is a fast paced short fantasy story packed with action and adventure. I’m absolutely loving this authors version of these childhood favorites. This one is definitely my favorite yet, I can’t wait to read more from her. Red’s Tangled Tale will pull you in from the beginning and kept my attention till the end. I had to know what was going to happen next. Get ready to be taken on quite the adventure with Little Red Riding Hood as she goes hunting for The Big Bad Wolf. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Red’s Tangled Tale (Book Two of the Untold Stories series) by Suzanna Lynn was a great read! So far I think this one may be my favorite of this series! It was so much darker than the first one was, with several twists I wasn’t expecting at all! I love seeing all of these classic fairy tales told in a different way, with twists and turns and all the characters becoming entwined on some way, shape or form. I can’t wait to see where Red’s and Hook’s adventures take them next in the next installment! This series is great for all ages and is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!
