Nemechek continues to weave an amazing story that began in book one. I truthfully loved book one and had high hopes for this second installment. I’m very thankful it lived up to my expectations. It continued to play to my love of historical fiction while maintaining relevance to today. If you enjoy fiction similar to Outlander, you will enjoy the characters, pace, and plot of The Traveler series.

The Traveler: Chimera Revolution (The Book of Eleanor #2) by Shannon Nemechek was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I do suggest that you read book one first, since this book started where book one ended.
You get pulled in by the authors writing and we get a great storyline. I really like these characters and seeing the journey continue was great. In the first chapter we are transported back in history to 1779. Colm and Katie have an electric connection and are in tune with each other. They find out that Katie is the only one that can help. Katie has to train and learn control before confronting Mordred.
Will she be successful and defeat him?
Overall I really enjoyed the read. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I like the historical pieces that are weaved into the story, King Author, Camelot and so much more. There are so many different characters that added a great element to the story. There were a couple of spots that got me emotional and on the edge of my seat. We end with these two going into another journey. I can’t wait to read the next book. This is the second book in the series and I highly recommend you read book one otherwise this book will not make sense to you. This is a true continuation book. It picks up where the first book left us in the cliff hanger. I love the illustration Shannon Nemechek uses in her books. I enjoy the adventures the characters go on. In this book, here is danger, mystery, magic, and some intense sexual content. Also, there are lies, tension, and old foes. Colm and Katie have travel back in time. Will this be too much for them? Will they find others they can trust to assist them? Who can they trust? The next book is due to come out in December of 2020 and I cannot wait. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

I have no words for this amazing book! This is the second book in Shannon’s The Travelor series and it is absolutely amazing! I was on the edge of my seat with each page, desperate to find out what happens next! I absolutely loved the first book Chimera Rebellion and impatiently waited for this sequel! I wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy books that mingle in with history. To start with, I had not read the first book so I did not have a stepping ground and got pulled into the middle of the action. It took me a while to figure out who is who, but once that is sorted, the book was rock and roll! The story transports the two main characters Katie and Colm to 1779 Savannah, where they are pulled into a world of deception, danger and lies, and an old enemy. There is a prophecy to be fulfilled and there is suspense in every step they tread on. Katie has to figure out whom to trust and whom not to. Colm is to make a choice, which will decide the course of history. It is overall a very gripping read; I only wish I had read the first book so that I can understand this one better. I will surely pick up the previous book very soon!

Having read the first book in the series I was looking forward to this second book and I was not disappointed, like book one it took me on an epic and exciting adventure through time. This book does continue on from the cliffhanger ending in the previous book, ‘Chimera Rebellion’, however it does provide a ‘Where we Left Off’ chapter to begin the story. This time Katie and Colm are taken on a trip through time to 1779 Savannah, in the midst of the American Revolution. Here they enter a world of spies and magic, and also come face to face with an old foe. The couple still have the book and are still protecting it and to help them with this task Katie finds a tutor to help her learn magic. When an ancient friend appears and seems to guide them, they must decide if he really is a friend. Meanwhile Colm is still battling with deciding which side he is on and must confront his great-great-grandfather to convince him that life without Eleanor is possible. Colm tries to get his ancestor to fight on the right side of history but without revealing the future it’s a difficult task. This second journey seems to be even more dangerous than Katie and Colm’s previous one and they must not only protect the book but save themselves, and stop the prophecy becoming true. This is a fast paced novel which took me on an exciting journey back to the American Revolution. The storyline is full of adventure, suspense and drama along with a little romance, all of which had me hooked. I felt immersed in the story and I loved the main characters, Katie and Colm and how their relationship changed and developed throughout the story. This is a great read and I am now looking forward to book three in the series.

Wow! This read is utterly compelling from the moment you pick it up right until the very end.
I read this book in one sitting and boy could I have carried on if only it didn’t end! CR Robertson is a new author but will definitely be added to my all time epic must read author list!
After being transported into the world of Purgatory with magic, vampires, witches, incubus’s and a passionate sexy storyline I cannot wait to be transported back there with other books in the series!
I absolutely loved Ilana & Ezekiel story. It was full of passion, seduction, sexiness, magic, suspense, mystery, action & adventure. We were taken on twists and turns that left you wondering what could happen next and left you wanting more! Throughout the read we were taken on a rollercoaster of emotions and loving the characters as much as I did I couldn’t help but feel each of there emotions. We had heartache and loneliness, guilt, fear, anger, pain and loss but I think the thing we felt most that became undeniable to our characters was love, passion, devotion, protection and ultimately the acceptance for the person underneath what everyone else sees.
I loved seeing the change in both our characters from how they were in the beginning to how they become in the end, both of them not knowing they were the best thing to happen to each other to help them become the best version of themselves.
I can’t wait to read the other dark princes stories that we meet in this read to see how much their lives are impacted by the destruction of one person! I highly recommend this read, and cannot praise this author enough with the brilliant captivating storyline she has created along with her amazing characters!

These characters pull you so completely into their world that I forgot the real world for a while which can be nice. The characters are complex and relatable. They are well developed and you root for them. This author has a wonderful way of keeping readers coming back for more and you can sink into this story and it was definitely difficult when I reached the last page but I’m definitely looking forward to more. It’s a fast paced story but you don’t get lost, well thought out storyline. I’m giving this book four big stars and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next.

This is the second book in the series and picks up where the last one left off, so I’d recommend reading in order. It’s a time-travelling fantasy that’s fast-paced and intriguing. The Traveler: Chimera Revolution is the second book in ‘The Book of Eleanor’ Series by Shannon Nemechek. It follows on where the first book left off- so I really recommend reading the first book before starting on this one. As with the first book, this is another fantastic time travel fantasy- with magic, mystery, history, intrigue, danger, drama, suspense, action, and adventure. I really enjoyed the first book, so I was looking forward to the release of this book and continuing the story. I am happy to say that this is just as bit as good as the first book and makes me really look forward to reading the rest of the series. The two books have the feel of “Outlander”, but with a flavour and identity all their own. As we discovered in Book One- Katie Butler and her love of old books results in her being catapulted on an adventure through time- on a date with destiny. Katie hears of a rare book which piques her curiosity and she is determined to track it down. This leads to her to being swept back in time- and smack bang into the middle of a war- crossing paths with Captain Colm O’Donnell- changing their lives forever. This story picks up where they left off in book one, with discoveries to be made, secrets to be revealed, choices to be made- all while figuring out what the book has in store for them and their role in it all. It all boils down to one epic adventure. This is another fast-paced story that’s full of intrigue, excitement, suspense, and surprising developments. I loved feeling like I was part of it all, right amid the action, following along as everything played out. Ms. Nemechek really knows how to weave a fantastic tale, creating an impressive stage in which to set her story. Looking forward to seeing what awaits in “The Traveler: Chimera Rising” (Book Three).

I loved reading the book The Frontman by Lawrence Parlier. It is a story that is interesting, intriguing, and entertaining. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. The book centers around the death of a musical legend, Kerry Vance. It then gets really interesting when a mysterious woman from Kerry’s past shows up. The story had twists that I didn’t see coming. I enjoyed reading about the characters in the book. The author does a wonderful job of making them come alive. My emotions went up and down the entire time that I was reading this story. The book does have sad moments as well as heartwarming ones too. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that I couldn’t help but think about long after I had finished it. I highly recommend reading it.

This was a great read, I was instantly enthralled and couldn’t put the book down once I started it. I really enjoyed the first book, and this was one was no different! The pull is irresistible and he can’t stay away. Unfortunately with his curse, he can’t be with her either. Every time he feeds, the curse takes a vital part of his lover. This story pulled me in from the start and I couldn’t stop reading. The chemistry was off the charts between Ilana and Ezekiel but it was more than that. You could feel the love flowing off the pages. I was enthralled with their world and didn’t want to leave. This is a great start to an awesome series. I can’t wait to read book two.

I really enjoyed this book which told Megan’s story. There’s heaps of action and it was a bit confusing at the beginning. The story has lots of mythical and magical elements, and a rich fantasy world. The characters were what really drew me into the story. The characters develop a lot throughout the story, and Megan’s journey especially is full of twists and turns.

The Traveler: Chimera Revolution (The Book of Eleanor 2) by Shannon Nemechek is a time travel fantasy and another great addition in this series. It is fast pace and takes up where the first one left off, so it’s a no brainer that you should read it first. The story is well written and keeps you glued to the pages as you are transported back to 1779 Savannah. It is full of intrigue and danger, magic and time travel, drama and suspense and let’s not forget a prophecy. I was well and truly hooked as I turned page after page and before I knew it, it was over. Shannon’s vivid narrative makes it easy to love and easily imagine her characters and the worlds she has created.
I look forward to what Shannon gives us next. If you love Outlander, you will love this.

I find Elledge to be extremely gifted in her way with crafting a paranormal YA story that appeals to all ages. This latest story certainly grabbed my attention immediately. I loved how the story was set up – I knew it was going to be an extremely fascinating storyline. I’m so glad I was right. From start to finish I found myself engrossed, relating to the characters (even though I am not “blessed”) and invested in each plot twist. Cannot wait to read what Elledge comes out with next!

I enjoyed this murder-mystery story from beginning to end. This is my first book by this author and I will be looking for more from him. This is a well written story that pulls you in right from the beginning. It is engaging and the twists and turns will keep you turning pages to the end. The characters are strong and I had no problem connecting with them. This is a story about a music legend named Kerry. He is found dead at the beginning of his tour. Is there more to his death than just accidental? A mysterious woman pops up and tells his family that this was no accident. Now they are faced with putting everything on the line to get justice. What will happen next, you will have to read this book and you won’t regret picking it up, I didn’t. I highly recommend reading this book.

I am so happy that this book merely drew me in by the cover and not only gave me an unforgettable story but a desire for more. Blessed is not your typical academy young adult read and really delves into the characters first then adding the fantasy elements to boost them. This book kept me so enthralled that I found myself reading into the night, well more like morning at 3 am, because I needed to know how this book would end. I will warn you and mention that the cliffhanger in this book is one for the record books. I am legit sitting her reeling still two days later about that ending. The book is so detailed that you feel transported to this world with Gabriella and Finn and all the supporting characters. I swear I could smell the air as I read and I love when a book does that for me! I cannot wait to get my hands on book two and hope that it is sooner than later!

I loved this book from beginning to end. This is part of the A Crown of Stones series but can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest you read the previous three books in this series it will help your enjoyment of this series. This author has impressed me with her creativity and imagination she puts in each of her books. I have no problem connecting with the characters as they take me on an adventure. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages. In this story we have Ian and Jarryd. I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story and what they learn about magic. Ian has sacrificed everything and is now free to choose his own way. So him and Jarryd take off on an adventure where they end up at the Wandering Isles. Unaware of what they will find, this is where their adventure starts and it could mean their survival. This is a really great story that will take you on an adventure you won’t soon forget. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is a story for those over the age of 18 only, there are many scenes of violence and an adult nature.
The story begins in the demon realm of Purgatory where the four dark prince’s Ezekiel, Valek, Raegel and Lycidas in a meeting room on neutral ground with the Blood Queen Ophelia where their fathers have agreed a truce, but unknown to them, Ophelia intends to curse the four princes. As her devious plan comes to fruition, as the princes try to fight the curse settling in, they lose and come under her thrall.
Next we are 200 years later and with Ilana, a vampire-human hybrid who is fighting in a battle for the Vampire Prince, and after she returns, showers and gets dresses, she finds that she has to attend a feast with everyone else, including her best friend Mia, she has a bag of blood before going as she can’t partake of the festivities like any normal vampire would. However, she hadn’t realised that the four dark princes including the Incubus Prince Ezekiel would be there as well and as their eyes meet as she tries to sneak out of the feast unnoticed, she immediately feels something strong and unknown. When Ezekiel sees that Ilana isn’t feeding like everyone else, he is intrigued as to why and when their eyes meet, he realises that there is more to this vampire than meets the eye.
The next day, the reason that Ezekiel and the other princes are there is revealed and it is to see how all the four realms can work together as a team to defeat the Blood Queen. Each demon type goes through a series of trials and this involves training combat with each of the other demon kinds. Ilana shows enough talent and mysterious abilities, however, she feels that she hasn’t done well and a certain ability shows itself when her life was in semi-danger during the training. When everyone finds out which teams they are in, Ilana is shocked and amazed to find that she has been picked by Ezekiel.
This is where their paths begin to intertwine and the mysteries in their past present and future seek to both tie them together, yet at the same time rip them apart. As they find out more about each other, the curse and the realms around them, how the future will turn out is unknown as every step of the way as there are barriers to break down, hurdles to cross and new experiences to have.
This has to be read to the end to be fully understood and experienced, it is a tale of passion, seduction, realisation and determination which will take you on a whirlwind ride in more ways than one!

Blessed: Academy of the Seraph by Brandi Elledge is a well written and exciting book, with a fairly unique take on quite a well done genre. From the moment I started reading this book I knew I was going to enjoy it. I was hooked on the characters and the whole premise of the book immediately. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I love the way she was created this world and made it so real. At times it really felt like you were there alongside them. I absolutely flew through this book, reaching the end before I knew it, wishing I hadn’t because I had enjoyed it so much and wanted more. This is an amazing book and one I would highly recommend. I cannot wait to read book 2!

Have you gotten lost in a quest you are performing? Megan is going on a quest. This quest has action, danger, and magic. Megan also has Tyson on the ques with her. He is an arrogant athlete that Megan needs to support her in this quest. Will Megan and Tyson fulfill the quest? There are dangers and adventures in every moment of the story. You will have to read to see what happens to Megan on this quest she goes on. Alexander Charalambides does an amazing job creating this world in which his characters live in. This is a YA book but I found it engaging. More and more the authors for YA are understanding that the story can be for both young adults as well as adults alike. This book made me feel like I was on a quest with Megan and Tyson. I recommend that you go on the quest with Megan to see what happens in the magical world.

Golden Void (Black Blade Book 3) by Alexander Charalambides follows Megan, a minor character from the previous stories. I really enjoyed reading from her point of view as she once again gets caught up in a magical quest. The author is very detail oriented, so at times the story is a bit slow, however there is plenty of action and drama. With a serial killer Wizard on the loose and a cocky athlete to deal with, will Megan be able to help complete their quest or will she find herself among unlikely enemies? Although this book can be read as a standalone, I would suggest reading the previous ones first.

This is book 3 in the Black Blade series, although we see some of the same characters i would definitely say you could read it without the first 2. Such a good read. Alexander Charalambides Has a very unique way with his words, he sucks you into the story and holds you tight, as if you are right there in the action and action is what you will get when you read this books. Lovers of real fantasy will enjoy this book as much as I did I’m sure. Another truly fantastic read by a brilliant Author. Thank you.

The story of Kain and Izara was so good. Their journey to discovering their true destiny was full f adventure and mystery. Tabi Slick has built a vibrant universe and this novel was the perfect beginning to a really exciting story. I fully enjoyed meeting Kain and Izara as they started their journey to discovering who they really are. The novel by Tabi Slick raised a lot of questions and I look forward to finding out the answers as the story continues.

Tompkin’s School: For The Extraordinarily Talented (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 1) By Tabi Slick. Izara and her twin brother Kain are shipped off to a boarding school by their dad, but it’s not just the new move that rattles the twins, they change and I don’t mean metaphorically. I loved reading this book, the relationship between Izara and her brother Kain it’s a welcome one, too often I read sibling rivalry, this was a welcome change for them to be close and come together when needed. Such a brilliant unique story, I’m really looking forward to the next book

Golden Void by Alexander Charalambides is the third book in the Black Blade series. This is a book that will keep you guessing and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the world that Charalambides has created and definitely recommend this series! It will grab your attention and keep it until you’re on the last few pages without even realizing! I very much look forward to reading more from this author!

Tomkins School for the Extraordinarily Talented by Tabi Slick a talented four-star read. This is number one in the Supernatural Academy trilogy and I am excited to sink into the rest of the trilogy, I am so excited for number two, I need to see what happens next. The world building and character development was very well done and even though they were out there they were believable and made you need to know more about the characters, especially Izara and Kain, they reminded me of when curiosity caught the cat, and I know that’s not exactly what I mean to say, but honestly it’s the closest I can come up with without giving the game away. Bring on the rest of the series as I need more academy in my life, I would have given this five-stars but there was a couple of points that just made me stop.
