My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

This book was excellent! The story was great, towards the middle I was starting to get confused but the way it was wrapped up at the end was nice and clear. The characters are wonderfully written and easy to love.

The way this story was written, and the thought and planning that went into it blew my mind. I didn’t pick it up really until the end but was extremely happy with the outcome.
The two main characters of Amelia and Toby meet my chance in England and fall in love with a quickness. Amelia suspects something is going on because of the dreams she continues to have and the men in black she sees following her and Toby around. Toby on the other hand knows what is happening but can’t bring himself to tell Amelia without ruining what they have.

When the men in black finally catch up to the couple it may be too late.

I would HIGHLY recommend reading this book. You will not be disappointed. There is not much in the way of romance, just more loving words and kissing but it is perfect for this story.

Love Me, Dreamy
By Laura Burton.
5 of 5 Stars!

Although this is not my usual genre, I loved it! The story of Amelia and Toby is both mysterious and enchanting. It took awhile to really make some of the pieces of the story make sense. I remained slightly confused until about two-thirds of the way through, I still couldn’t put it down!
Ms. Burton’s vivid storytelling helped to hook me into the story and later to help clear up my confusion by tying the story together in the end. Amelia’s inner turmoil of what happens to her and her struggle with the difference in their ages are only a small portion of he twists that pulled me as a reader into the story.
This YA Romance is an interesting tale full of twists and turns, beginning with the appearance of the mysterious men in black suits. I strongly recommend grabbing your copy today and experience it for yourself!

Such a cute and entertaining story! I read this book in one setting because the author was able to grab my attention and keep it. The main characters Toby and Amelia meet by chance and quickly start falling for each other. But they have this nagging felling that they are being followed because these men in black suits are showing up everywhere they go.
Is Toby telling her everything she needs to know about these strange men? Are they destined to be together or are they going to crash and burn?
I am looking forward to reading the by this author!
Happy Reading!!

Love Me, Dreamy: A YA Paranormal Romance with Breathtaking Twists by Laura Burton is Amazing. It is original, fresh and exciting. I was hooked and enthralled and it kept me flipping through the pages. There were lots of twists that had me guessing all the way through, there was no way I could guess where the story was going. Lauras’ writing is truly magical and as always it is a pleasure to read her works. The vividness and the passion shone through and seeped out from the pages. The characters were wonderful and I fell in love with them and the story has stayed with me long after I finished.

I am not going to reveal anything because this is a tale that has to be read and fully savoured by reaching your soul word by wonderful word.

This story has my stamp of approval if you don’t grab it you are truly missing out on something magical.

Love Me, Dreamy is the latest instalment in the Love Me series by Laura Burton. This is my first read from Ms. Burton, so apart from the intriguing blurb, I wasn’t entirely sure of what to expect I’d find when I embarked on this mysterious adventure. What a great surprise this book turned out to be- in a really great way! I had thought the story sounded sweet, light, and interesting- and I decided it would make a great ‘palate cleanser’ after a string of darker reads- but what I got was so much more.
This turned out to be an enthralling paranormal romance with a wonderful fantasy component, and some sci-fi elements. Ms. Burton has woven a wonderful tale that held all my attention from the beginning, right till the very end. I read it in one sitting and loved every word! I am so happy to find that there are two other books in the series for me to sink my teeth into!
This story may not be all that long, but Ms. Burton packs a lot into this polished package. There is an adventure, action, danger, mystery, suspense, intrigue, tension, emotion, wonderful world building, and so much more for us to appreciate. The story is very thought provoking, and I kept trying to piece everything together and figure out exactly what was happening- I had several scenarios running through my mind- but wasn’t entirely sure until towards the end. One of my scenarios turned out to be correct, which surprised me- because it could have gone in so many different directions. I really enjoyed the whole process- the plot, the characters, Ms. Burton’s easy flowing and dynamic style, and following along intently to find out one of my ideas was actually right. The story really was so cleverly constructed that I couldn’t be sure about anything, so I was clutching at straws and looking for any clues- guessing all the while with several possibilities. I was completely wrapped up in what was happening and desperately needed to know how things would play out.
Amelia and Toby are really wonderful characters, and I really loved meeting them and cheering them on from the sidelines. These two were perfect for each other- and the ending was the perfect way to finish this touching story. I am not going to get into the story here, because I really don’t want to give anything away- the surprising twist is worth discovering for yourself.
This is a sweet, clean, surprising, intriguing, and well written story that all fantasy/paranormal, and romance readers should have on their TBR.
I will definitely be reading more of Ms. Burton’s work in the near future! She’s an author whose work I won’t soon be forgetting.

Thank you, Ms. Burton!

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1)Dangerously Close To Extinction by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

C.A. King is a one click author for me and I always enjoy her stories.

This is the first book in a new series about a (fictional?) town called Knollville. Knollville isn’t on a map, can’t be found by GPS and the road is hidden in plain sight.

This story has a different flair than then the stories previously written. It set up as more “horror” with a softer edge. It was fantastic and I was 100% invested from the STUNNING cover to the very last page.

One of my favorite lines: “Beware of the eyes of the beast, cold as steel, and the blood running through its veins. Its heart beats only to serve the demon within”

I absolutely recommend this book

This was my first book by this author and I loved it, even though Paranormal fantasy is not my normal choice this one was hit out of the park.

I was hooked at page 1 and as the story unfolded the mystery grew and had me not putting this book down till I finished. The flow was perfect and I fell in love with Amelia and Toby and worried about them throughout. There were secrets and dangerous choices that had to be made and I’m rambling because Im afraid Ill give too much away.

Read this book, I promise no matter what genre you read you will love it!

I can not wait for the next book I pick up by this author.

Dangerously Close to Extinction by C.A. King is the first book in the Knollville Legends series. This is clearly going to be yet another brilliant series by an author that never fails to please.
I don’t bother to even read the blurb of the book anymore when it comes to this author. Her work is always so entertaining and thrilling. This book is no exception. You are instantly swept away by her writing and her characters.
I just loved Tawny. She was vulnerable and yet so strong. You can’t help but want everything to work out for her.
If you haven’t read anything by this author before you need to do so quick and this would be a gem great book to start with!

She finds out there has always been more to her life than she has ever known. What she does know is that shifters are at war and they have to fight to save them all. I give Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King, 4 stars.

Tawny keeps waiting for her father to get back from wherever he is this time. But in the meantime, she will keep up appearances. She doesn’t want anyone to know she is starting to get worried. But then she sees these eyes looking into the house one night. They seem like they are eyes of a beast. Later, it seems like that beast is following her. She hears tell of very large wolves in the area. Then she is basically kidnapped from her own home. She is told that this group and another even worse are all looking for her father. When she is told what these groups really are, it seems like she stepped into a Hollywood movie. But events happen that make her have to trust these people. But didn’t they kidnap her? And what about the one she can’t stop thinking about? To find her father and unravel the mystery, she has to decide whether or not to go with her instincts.

This is a good introduction to a new series. The characters are interesting and we learn just enough to peak our interest. I cannot wait to see how they evolve throughout future books. The story itself is different and fun. There is a lot of action and it puts a young woman in situations she is not prepared for but readily takes on. You don’t know just where the story with take you next either. I like to be surprised while I read so this was selling point for me.

If you like YA paranormal romance and action, this book is for you.

5 out of 5 stars

The story Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King is a book that I loved reading. It has shifters, mystery, danger, and legends. It pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about the character of Tawny. She is a young woman who has two rival gangs wanting her to find her father for them. Tawny is intelligent, strong, beautiful, and stubborn. As clues to her past begin to emerge, she finds herself in a situation that she never believed she would be in. Is she also finding herself falling for one of her captors? What does the future hold for Tawny? Why is her father being sought? Will he be found? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has action and I found myself quickly turning pages as I had to know what happens next. There is humorous and at times sarcastic dialogue that had me smiling and laughing. I enjoyed the legends that are told and explained. Tawny is a character that is likable, and I grew to care about her with each chapter that I read. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading. It is entertaining and well written.

This really was a wonderful read. The authors’ writing was truly amazing and it really was an absolute pleasure to read. The passion and love flowed from the pages and the author’s attention to detail really made the characters and their story come alive. There was an amazing and much unexpected twist in the story that I loved! It made this story even more memorable of a read. I love Amelia and Toby – they really were fantastic, well thought out characters and I was completely captivated by their story. I loved trying to guess just what was going to happen in the story and it was a very unpredictable plot.

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is Science Fiction/Romance book . I was drawn in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. There’s a little bit of everything from action to danger and even romance. The author’s style of writing and her characters are almost flawless. Her attention to detail was incredible and I literally felt like I was right there with them. At times I was on a emotional rollercoaster ride and others I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. This is a story about a woman who all she wanted to do was sit around and read books, help others and play the sports she loved to play. Problem is duty gets in the way of her doing that. Her talent of reading minds is what she wants to do most times she can tell what’s going to happen before it happens. She’s next in line to rule the galaxy and there are others who want her assassinated. She doesn’t think she needs protection and her protector has anger problems. Other problem with him being her protector is she thinks she’s falling for him. Find out what happens next in this must read Book. I can’t wait to see what’s next .

I read this book completely blind. I didn’t look at cover, look at the blurb or read any reviews. For the first few chapters, I had no idea where the book was heading and I almost looked to see what it was about. I am so glad I did not because it was a very enjoyable way to read.

This story mesmerized me the whole way through. There is enough solid writing with a definite timeline, a bit of mystery and a whole cast of well developed characters.

I absolutely recommend this quick and easy read.

Mara Gan did a wonderful job creating this incredibly world and characters. She has described it very well. The two main characters are Meda and Perseus. Meda is a princess of not just a world, but a galaxy. She is compassionate and sweet. She has a very independent and stubborn streak that I absolutely love. Perseus is beyond fierce. He is a force to be reckoned with, but he may have found a challenge in Meda. There are ups, downs, laughter, and sadness all in this story. At the end of this story, there is a cliffhanger. This is only the first book in this series so more is yet to come, and I cannot wait!

I have once again found a new author and another great first in a series book. I really like psy-fi and
paranormal books. This was just such a great read and so refreshing. The book had me from chapter one and if I said it once I’ve said it a million times I just couldn’t put this book down.

I like how the book is in first person. I really like how I am seeing the events through the main character’s eyes. The first person narrative of this brings everything to life. I felt as if I was the character and as the events unfolded that I was experiencing them first hand. The world created by the author just came to life within my mind. I also like how things are not so straight forward and the main character falls for her guard over time. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series as this is the first book and I am so eager to see how things pan out.

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is a fantastic science fiction/fantasy novel. I have only recently started reading this genre and I’m so glad that I gave it a go as I absolutely loved this book. This is a new author to me and I had no idea of their writing style but I can safely say now that Mara Gan sure knows how to write a fantastic engaging story.
When I think of the imagination required to create this story, it blows me away. Not only are there many different characters who all play a vital role in the story but there are different nationalities, planets, galaxies etc that must have taken a great deal of imagination, planning and preparation.
As to the story itself, I was totally hooked on it from the very beginning and was taken on a rollercoaster journey to the end only to be left wanting more.
The 2 main characters Princess Andromeda (or Meda as she’s better known) and her Protector Perseus are awesome. Meda is sassy, strong willed and does not like having restrictions placed on her. As her life is under threat, Perseus is constantly exasperated by her constant rule breaking. All this is not helped by the fact that they both have feelings for each other but, with Meda being a Princess and Heir to the galaxy, her future husband has been chosen for her.
Can Perseus keep Meda safe from those who want her killed? Can the 2 of them resist the obvious feelings that they have for one another? I’d really recommend that you read this fantastic book to find out. For me, I can’t wait for Book Two as I want to know what the future has in store for Meda and Perseus.

I have to say I was very intrigued by this book by the synopsis, but very wary due to page count. This book is long, yes, but is a really good story. I’m not a big “step out of my comfort zone” genre reader, I love romance and the angst but this book really captured my attention.
The character descriptions felt like they were very vivid in my mind and I could really picture everything i was seeing/reading, I LOVE that. But there were some things that could have done fine with not being included, it just got too wordy, for me personally. I felt like I skimmed a lot, which I hate to do, but it felt repetitive or unnecessary to get to the next part of the story.
I will say I’m intrigued for the next book, as that cliffhanger leaves me to believe there will be another. Overall i enjoyed the story.

I went way out of my comfort zone on this book. It was recommended when I mentioned I needed something different. This was definitely different for me. I don’t read sci fi and I’m not a huge fan of YA, but in saying all of that I did enjoy many parts of this story. I definitely had no questions regarding the characters as they were well described and had the depth you need to truly understand. The surroundings and times I could almost visualize with the descriptive words used. There was definitely a uniqueness to the storyline which I completely appreciated.

In saying all of that, this book was a bit long and drawn out for me. I’m not crazy about reading a book I find myself having to skip through especially when an author works so hard to give me the words to read, but I did skip quite a bit, it felt very wordy in many places and I might be exaggerating a bit but it almost feels like half the page count could have been eliminated. Okay, maybe not that much but it did leave me with that feeling.

Again..in saying all of that I will be reading the next in this series as there was enough of a cliffhanger to have me craving more, and although this story did not change my choice of not reading this genre it is quite possible that the next in the series will.

Definitely do recommend for anyone that loves a good NA SciFi romance novel without too much of the romance.

I found this book giving off Throne of Glass vibes along with some Star Wars bits. It starts off with Meda who is a non-royal born into a prophecy that deems her saving the galaxy. She has a bodyguard who is a mercenary but she doesn’t think she needs one and is perfectly fine being able to do what she wants. Meda is an empath and semi-frequent telepath who gets overwhelmed sometimes with all the people around her and escapes quite a bit that her bodyguard, Perseus gets angry with her. Not wanting to spoil but Meda ends up falling for Perseus.

I loved the plot of the story but the description of Perseus was a bit too much, I’m not a fan of big muscled guys even tho he did sound rugged and handsome. I also found it a bit deeming that he kept calling her “little girl” even though it changes a bit in the end after they are both in love.

In other words, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi, humor, fantasy and a bit of action. I feel this book provided a lot of those things along with romance of course but not too much it was overbearing.

You get all sorts of great things in this sci-fi book, humor, action, romance and so much more. I like being taken to another world and I really enjoyed this one.

Princess Meda was great, she has feistiness to her. She also has a love for reading. She has people out to get her, trying to prevent her from taking her rightful place as the next ruler. When things take a scary twist and she is forced to flee, she has Perseus assigned to protect her. Perseus was a little bit of a jerk in the beginning but he eventually grew on me. As these two spend more time together things start to grow between them.

Can they have something together? Will Perseus be able to keep her safe?

Overall I really enjoyed this book, I had several LOL moments. Mara pulls you right in with her writing, the world she created was amazing. All of the characters were great. I will warn that there is a slight cliffhanger. If your looking for a great Sci-fi read this is the series for you. 1-click and get started today.
