Arrows Tipped with Honey (Natural Forces Book 2) by Jean Gill – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Arrows Tipped with Honey (Natural Forces #2)Arrows Tipped with Honey by Jean Gill
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite of hers yet. She writes with an imagination that brings the story to life. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning and was engaged to the end. Mielitta is the Queen of The Warrior Bees, she is faced with breaking the barrier between Forest and Citadel. She has her hopes set on one man. Mage is leading a double life but will he be able to stay loyal to Mielitta? He finds himself facing deceit and doing things that make him doubt himself and values. I enjoyed them and the other characters that make up this story. They made it interesting and had me turning pages fast. Find out what happens with Mielitta and Mage, I highly recommend this book.

Bargaining (Hero High, #3)Bargaining by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am loving the Hero High series by Mina Chara. I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series to get an understanding of Friday Fitzisimmons story. The adventure continues at Hero High in Icon City. It is because of Friday that I love this series. She is so innocent and inquisitive. Mina Chara did an amazing job with her attention to detail and character development. Not only did she create amazing characters but also a high tech world to entertain the reader. Friday is still trying to work on her life. She is a little confused in who she can trust and if the people in her life can help her. She is trying to be a good hero but is her faith in people stirring her in the wrong direction? I highly recommend this book as you will not want to put it down.

By Nadine Travers
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Seal of Solomon – Lilandra’s Reeves Adventure (Supernatural Intelligence Agency Book 2) by Nadine Travers is a fast-paced book that is entertaining to read. The story pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. The book includes action, danger, magic, and magical creatures. I loved reading about the character of Lilandra Reeves. She is a witch warrior who has been called to protect and rescue the Seal of Solomon. She finds herself up against those who are determined to have the Seal. She is tempted by an offer that is both personal and emotional. Will she take the offer? Why are different factions going after magical objects? I love the character of Lilandra as she is strong, independent, and confident. She also has a side that is still affected by what has happened in the past. The book had me turning pages to find out what happens next. There are other characters introduced who interact with Lilandra. There are some who I wondered what their true motives are and others that work with her. This is an exciting tale that you don’t want to miss out on reading. I highly recommend reading it.

The story Arrows Tipped with Honey (Natural Forces Book 2) by Jean Gill is a wonderful tale to read. It pulls you in from the start and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is a story in which the author does an amazing job of building a world that is both interesting and intriguing. I loved reading about the characters of Mielitta, Queen of the Warrior Bees, and Mage Smith Kemon. Mage Smith Kemon is leading a double life both in remaining loyal to Mielitta and as a spy at the Citadel. He has a lot of doubts and inner conflicts. He is always facing danger and the possibility of discovery. Mielitta has her gifted friends and beloved bees. There also other characters that are part of the council at the Citadel who are devious and are looking out for themselves and their way of life. This is a story that includes magic and discovery. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that is entertaining and kept me turning pages to find out what happens next. It is a story that I would recommend reading.

Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara – Review by Kerry Baker

Bargaining (Hero High, #3)Bargaining by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bargaining by Mina Chara is the third book in the Hero High series. This is a series that does need to be read in order as it follows the same characters and their journey.
I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I had enjoyed the first two books in the series and I was looking forward to seeing how this one would go. I loved that it was so easy to skip straight back into these characters, almost like I had never been away from them.
As with the previous two books the story was exciting and fast paced. The author has done such a great job of developing it over the course of the series.
As a relatively new author to me Mina Chara is one I have enjoyed discovering. I am looking forward to seeing what other work she has!

Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Bargaining (Hero High, #3)Bargaining by Mina Chara
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book three in Mina Chara’s ‘Hero High’ series featuring Friday Fitzsimmons. The series is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters. Although there is a brief catch up at the beginning of this novel, the series of books needs to be read in order, Denial, Anger, and then this book, Bargaining. The story centres around Friday Fitzsimmons who is a student at Hero High which is a famous school for people with powers. However Hero High is not just a school for trainee superheroes it is also a reality TV show and one of many on the Hero Channel. This book continues from, book two, Anger, and although Friday has joined the ‘Gold Team’ and is now liked by the producers of Hero High things are going wrong for her. Her relationship with friend Jake is falling apart, Dr.Dangerous is not who she thought he is and as soon as she is about to uncover the truth forces she can’t see interfere. Friday still has Captain Fantastic on her side though.
This is another short read but packed full of adventure, a fast paced storyline continuing with Friday’s adventures at Hero High. I have come to love Friday over the three books and think she is a great lead character, very likeable and in this story she is still overcoming her acute anxiety of which she suffers, this to me makes her a relatable character. She is also doubting herself, as she wants to be a good super hero but is worried that she is loosing herself in the process. The world building is great and really pulls you in so you feel totally immersed in Icon City.

Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara – Review by Juls Dick

Bargaining (Hero High, #3)Bargaining by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bargaining the 3rd book in the Hero High series, the book picks off where the last book finished. Friday is now hot on the trail of the golden syringes and has encountered Dr Dangerous again but doesn’t understand why he is so fascinated with her or why she has stated to have feelings for him too when she knows it is wrong. Throughout this book Friday starts to get more suspicious of the other supes around her and what their connections are to the golden syringes. She also finds out who the figure in the flames is, losing a part of herself on the way. Its hard to review this book without giving away the story but if you have read the first two instalments of this series you need to read this book too, the story is just getting better and I really need book 4 now to find out what happens next. Highly recommend.

Kat's Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3)Kat’s Conundrum by Nikki Broadwell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book and the adventure it took me on. This author has continued to impress me on her writing skills and her attention to details which make the story engaging. This is a well written story that will take you on an adventure with Gods, humans and unseen forces. I had no problem connecting with the characters and they brought the story to life. Kat’s life has spun out of control and her love has not yet returned. As the world spins out of control around her, her destiny is unsure, on top of all that she could lose perspective on who she is. These are great characters that support each other which made the story easy to read. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara – Review by Faith Jackson

Bargaining (Hero High, #3)Bargaining by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 3 of the series and I’ve enjoyed reading each book. In this one, we find that the main character’s life is in shambles. As her friendship is crumbling, she discovers Mr Dangerous is perpetrating. She feels helpless as people are being compromised. Hidden figures are controlling the hidden truth she seeks to unveil. As she’s thrown into more of the spotlight, she’s losing herself through it all. Mr Fantastic believes in her probably because he knows who she is no matter what. Her main purpose hasn’t been lost in hindsight.
Though this book wasn’t what I expected, especially after the previous ones. I personally feel like the main character lost her way somewhat in this series but Mr Fantastic quickly got her back as she was going off course which saved this last book for me. I’d fallen in love with the other two and didn’t wanna see her wind up like all the other characters but I don’t wanna give away too much of the premise. Overall, great book and beautiful series done by Mina Chara.

The story Kat’s Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3) by Nikki Broadwell is a wonderful fantasy book. It pulled me in right from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It has an amazing storyline and wonderful characters. The story includes magic and danger. It is entertaining and addictive to read. In this story Kat finds herself lost and trying to find the path that she should be on. Bran, the god who she loves, has not returned and Kat soon finds that her memories have been stolen. Will she get her memories back? Will she reunite with Bran? What is Kat’s destiny? Read this book to find out what happens to Kat. This is a story that has heartbreaking moments and other moments when you wonder what is going to happen next. I found myself turning pages as well as my emotions taking an emotional ride throughout the book. The story is wonderfully detailed and I found myself feeling like I was right there with Kat. I enjoyed reading about many of the other characters that Kat interacts with. Many of them are helpful to her. Then some are only out for themselves. This is a book and series that I would highly recommend reading.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn: A Steampunk Faerie Tale by Danielle Ackley-McPhail and Day Al-Mohamed is a steampunk twist, fantasy story that is also a faerie tale of a different kind of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. A faerie tale that has magic and steampunk, mystery and danger, heartache and suspense. The author’s words and story building made it easy to imagine with so much vivid colour what was going on. I was a little disappointed at times because in several places I found the story a little slow but then I felt like the ending was a little rushed. That being said I still enjoyed it..

Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara – Review by Angela Hayes

Bargaining (Hero High, #3)Bargaining by Mina Chara
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bargaining is the third book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. As with the first two books, this is a Young Adult fantasy adventure story set in a near future world, Icon City, and follows Friday Fitzsimmons on her incredible adventure. This book follows on from the first two, so I highly recommend reading “Denial” (Book One) and “Anger” (Book Two) before starting on this one- so you have all the backstory, character introductions, and other important facts that you will need in order to enjoy this book to the fullest extent.
Friday still knows that she’s being watched- but since having joined the gold team the producers of the show seem to like her more. But Friday can’t help feeling like she’s not being true to herself- like a bit of a ‘sell-out’. She feels the weight of responsibility, and with things between her and Jake crumbling- she feels a little overwhelmed, like everything is falling apart. She will need to dig deep and be brave- there is even more at stake than ever before and she will need to stay strong in order to get through it all.
Another great action-paced addition to the series- with so much to hold my interest- and that ending, OMG!!!
So, if you love young adult fantasy, with mystery, adventure, and ‘superhero’ types- then this is definitely a book/series you won’t want to miss.

Thank you, Mina Chara!

Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara was exciting and full of surprises. It had some romance as well as some tragedy. I was sad but also elated with the ending. When I picked up this book I was not sure if I was going to like it. I read a couple of reviews to see what I was going to read about. It is interesting when you rely on reviews to see if this book is the one you are going to like or not. There are so many opinions that I decided that I was going to read it and come up with my own conclusion. This story is based on the original Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. There is a definitely a feel of mechanical and historical feel to the story. There is the element of culture to the story as well. It is an enjoyable book and I highly recommend it.

Releasing Her Power Within (Fae Shifters Book 1) by Madilynn Dale
Releasing Her Power Within is the first book in the Fae Shifters Series By Madilynn Dale. This is a new author to me and it’s her debut album. I’m going to be honest I had a hard time getting into the story but once I did I couldn’t put it down only because I had to know what happens next. I feel like it fell just a bit short for me. I wanted more and it just wasn’t there. Again if I’m being honest this isn’t my normal go to genre. But I do enjoy reading from time to time. The characters are great, well developed and like I said the storyline fell a bit short. Liz is a over worked Physical Therapist Assistant who finds herself leaving her current job to move to the cabin left to her from her mother and taking a new job.
What she finds is the new house and the surroundings reveal a story she wasn’t expecting. Will she find the answers ? What does the future look like? Will she get answers to her heritage and the cabin ? Find out what happens next. I’ll recommend this book all in all it was a good book .I do look forward to reading more from this Author I’m curious as to where this series is going.

Releasing Her Power Within (Fae Shifters Book 1)Releasing Her Power Within by Madilynn Dale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With this being the authors debut novel, I cant wait to watch her grow and read all her stories to come.
Liz was someone I could see being friends with, she was sweet, down to earth but also doesn’t take any heat from anyone and stands up for herself.
Cam was so sweet and I knew deep down something else was happening and I loved the way we find it out.
Liz is given the shocks, yes multiple, of a lifetime in a span of a couple days and she takes it way better than I ever would.
But after that ending I need the next book, like yesterday! Great read and cannot wait to see what happens next.

Releasing Her Power Within (Fae Shifters Book 1)Releasing Her Power Within by Madilynn Dale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a debut novel from Madilynn Dale and obviously my first time reading her work. I really was drawn into this book from the title and blurb, not so much the cover but I understand this is a debut. I wanted to love this book, fae being the one area of this genre that I do love a lot and was excited to see what world was going to be spun within the pages of this novel. I was a tad disappointed though. I loved how this book was laid out and could see a lot of potential in it but I felt the story line got lost among the details. I struggled to work my way through this and the smooth read that gives me the ability to feel transformed was missing in this novel. The characters were awesome and I would be interested in trying to read this again if a re-edited version in the future or what other work comes from Madilynn Dale.

Ms. Dale keeps the story moving at all times. I found this to be a fast read for me. I loved Liz. She is one that keeps me cheering her on. There is so much to her heritage that she is going to be learning. She has left her past life to go live in the cabin that her mom left her. There is so much to learn about her heritage. I found this book to be unique and intriguing. I am very interested to see where this series takes us because having a shifter fae with powers that have yet to be tapped into leaves me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I really enjoyed the many different characters we got to meet that make up this original story. This book started out a little slow but before long I was drawn right in and found I couldn’t put it down. The characters bring the story to life and made me feel as if I was right there with them. In this book everything seems to be falling apart, people are not who you think they are. By joining the gold team, it could mean giving up everything a good hero is meant to be. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. The story Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara is the next exciting story in a wonderful series. It pulled me in, and I found myself lost in the storyline. I loved reading about the main character of Friday Fitzsimmons. The tale has action, danger, and even a bit of romance. The story is written in such a way that I feel like I am right there with Friday and the other characters in the book. This story has some twists that I did not see coming and I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. This is a fast-paced story that you will not want to put down. I enjoyed reading about the many different characters and how they all interact. There are some that I wondered about them and if they had ulterior motives. This is a book that is entertaining and addictive. I would highly recommend reading it.
