This story has action and drama all in this fast paced read! I did not read the first 2 books in the series but still felt connected to the characters. The cover of this book caught my attention and the story was definitely intriguing. I really enjoyed reading about Caro and their story. The author created a very unique world for readers. This was a concept I have not read before and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be going back and reading the first 2 books and looking for more from this author. This was an enjoyable YA fantasy read!

I absolutely loved the third book, and can’t believe I went to book 2, but that still didn’t stop me from understanding what was going on. The characters are very well developed and written that it makes you feel like you are with them every step of the way and know them on a personal level. The worlds are so well written out that its almost like you can reach out and touch everything. The betrayals, conflicts, secrets, action, mystery, intensity of a world trying to be destroyed, while two brothers fight to try and stop it all. this book had so many twists and turns it kept me wanting more and on my toes. This made for an amazing all around read. this was a real page tuner, and I couldn’t stop reading it.

5/5 Stars This is by far one of my favorite fantasy series. I have read all 3 books and I love all of them. The writing is excellent and I can really put myself in this world with ease. The character dynamic is done very well. I have truly enjoyed this series from beginning to end.

The Lone Star Child was a great book. The book had my attention from the very first page. In my opinion, it was a fast paced book. This isn’t my typical kind of genre to read, but surprisingly I really enjoyed it. The world building and characters was great. The Lone Star Child is the third book in The Gods’ Scion Series and continues the story from the first two books. If you have not read the first books you may feel a bit lost while reading this one. This book is fast paced and full of action, drama, suspense, betrayal, and the desire for revenge.
Caro is a space acolyte and disciple to the goddess that rules the universe who finds that her position prevents her from having friendships. She finds her position a lonely one and feels detached from those around her. When Caro is kidnapped, it sets off a series of events in which secrets are revealed. The other acolytes do not know where she is or who has her. What secrets are preventing the acolytes from finding Caro? Who can be trusted?
Caro is with an enemy who has been plotting against those that discarded them as outcasts a millenia ago. Ophiuchus was imprisoned after wanting to share their gift with the world and for the past millenia have plotted revenge against those that imprisoned them and tossed them away like they were worthless. With the help of one space acolyte, they may get their revenge as well as their freedom and the Gods will not see it coming. With Caro’s help their freedom may become a reality and they will crush all those that mistreated them in the past. The Gods called them monsters, so they will become monsters as those that imprisoned them feel their wrath.
This book is a fantasy adventure with gods, royalty, magic, family ties, loss, heartache, and the strong desire for revenge against those that betrayed you. The storyline is compelling, the characters are wonderful, and the scenes are described so vividly that you get drawn into the story alongside the characters. The underlying issues of love, hate, family ties, revenge and betrayal lead the reader on an intense rollercoaster ride of emotions. You can feel the hurt, the anger, the sadness, and the hatred along with the characters and want them to all find peace and happiness within their lives.

C. L. Scheider outdid herself in this magical book of perseverance and tough life decisions. It definitely reminds the reader to think before you act. There are consequences to every wish we make in life. I love that this story takes us through Ian Troy’s life, showing us where he is before he found the Crown of Stones and how he feels about being a magic user. Then allows us to see the consequences his wish has caused to himself and everyone. Fast forward ten years later, when all Ian wants to do is forget that he’s ever been a magic user, causing his mind to remain in a fog with his drinking habits, when everything he had been running from has caught up to him. What will Ian do, will he go back to his old ways and use his magical abilities or will he remain constantly on the run? This is the first story I have read where the character is referred to as “they” and it made for a unique reading experience. I like that this is a topic the author has chosen to tackle, although a times it did feel a little clumsy. The overall story was well written though and easy to get into. I enjoyed reading about the characters too. They all seemed to add so much to the story and fitted well with each other. This is a pretty new author to me and I think her work shows promise. I think the more of her work that I read the more I will enjoy. I am looking forward to discovering more from her.

So, this last one got me itching to know who in the world can do this to Troy. But Troy wants to save those whom he cares for but the new High King is not allowing him to do this instead making everything hard for him, Troy was left out and now he had to go back in time to seek help and wisdom. The author did an amazing job. I had to read all 3 series to see and understand the whole story.
Amazing story by C.L. Schneider, when I first saw this book, I was not quite sure if this fit in my likes but a couple of chapters took me to a whole new level. Troy is an amazing character but so much in his hands after he took The Crown of Stones in his hands. Like they always told me be careful about what you wish for, in this case, he was not careful and the past to the present and the future realms are coming after him. Troy was not wise enough to stay away but now he sees what he wants and it is to use the power to save the realms. To continue to the 2nd book…
2ND BOOK, I can’t believe this happened to Troy. I was shocked that they took his power and even his memory. When I read that Troy will do anything to be the one person he was, but time is getting harder for him because all the people he cared for are suffering and his old enemy Draken became the High King. Towards the middle, Troy realizes that he has more scars on his body, and when he started seeking answers it leads to more secrets and more truth to his inheritance.
Lost in the fantasy I didn’t want this to end. Magnificently executed, I just love the vividness of the world this author brings. Titania is a brilliant character – she has her plate full but she keeps on giving her all. She needs to harness her gift, work out the prophecy and find a husband. For lovers of high-end fantasy, paranormal and strong suspenseful storylines – you will not be disappointed. (Definitely start at book 1!) Highly recommend.

Fate, fantasy, finale What an adventure this trilogy has been. This book brings Ian’s journey to an end in a magnificent way. The characterisation, world building and epic battles were brilliantly executed and the emotions raw. This book brings answers that have been sought from the start and some heartbreak. Highly recommend the whole series from start to finish.

And obvious the humans. <br />Terran works as a public prosecutor after the death of his father instead of taking on the family business (unless in his other form, reaping vengeance).<br />Seth is a property mogul of types, I suppose he has gathered a lot of experience in his many years of life..<br />Kaela, adopted daughter of a doctor has her own magic but knows nothing of the others in her neighbourhood; caught literally in the wrong place and time she is rescued by the beast, and has already caught the attention of one immortal.<br />Death threats, loss of evidence, finding long lost gems, life is certainly looking interesting for all 3 of the main characters. The third book in an epic fantasy series. Just like the first two, I didn’t want to put this book down. The world, the characters, the action, everything was very well written. Rarely does a sequel live up to the first book, but both the second and the third not only did that, but surpassed it. The only complaint I had was that it ended.

The story is action-packed and deals with a lot of heavy topics. The writing was well done and there were times of laughter but also ones that made my heart hurt.
I’m not sure the conclusion was what I wanted, but it left me curious what the author will be doing next in this world!

This book grabbed my attention from the very first line! Not only that, it KEPT my attention! Edge of my seat, intense action the whole way through. I felt for Ian the entire time and wanted to just hug him and put him in my pocket to protect him. A great characer! Very good fantasy story with magic! Love!

Magic Borne by C.L. Schneider is the third and final book of the Crown of Stones trilogy. We once again join Ian Troy: Shinree, solider, revolutionary as he tries to stop the new self-proclaimed emperor from his evil plans and steer events away from foreseen tragedy. Once again we are taken on a journey through this complex world with costly magic and complex characters but this time we get far more history! The character development found in the books is nothing short of magnificent. The story remains compelling but dark. It is a fitting ending to a journey that, in the midst of book one, I wasn’t sure would be worth the ride.

Magic Scars is the second book in the Crown of Stones trilogy by C.L. Schneider. This book starts two and half years after the ending of the first book. We pick up with Ian Troy once more as he is freed from the terrible prison in Darkthorne. Having been under a drug which takes memory, self, and will away – Ian struggles to find his new self in the fray. Friends are scattered, enemies are everywhere, and Ian is now at the center of a rebellion. This book was easier for me to get into than the first. A good pick for fans of dark fantasy but definitely needs to be read in order.

His skills in magic and battle are both feared and needed. This lone wolf suddenly finds himself back in the middle of battle 10 years later with returning and new enemies. This book is filled with creative world-building and characters that have depth. If you’re a fan of slightly darker fantasy then this is a book for you.

Can you change a vision or is his fate already sealed? Ian Troy has lost so much and fought so hard for so many, but it seems, no matter what he does, fate has other ideas. This fight just keeps getting bigger. All of Mirra’kelan will have to unite if they have any chance of thwarting the new self-appointed emperor. (This is so hard to talk about without giving away spoilers, so I’m going to stop there and tell you to read it and explore this series for yourself.)
This is an amazing, fast-paced, action-packed read. There are so many amazing plot twists that some will definitely take you by surprise and keep you guessing. C.L. Schneider’s writing style is so descriptive and imaginative that you feel as if you’re transported into the book. And her characters, can I just say wow, especially Ian Troy, he’s so complex, detailed, and imaginative. Along with good verses evil, this book mixes in lore, history, magic, and other fantasy aspects that are woven so incredibly well together. This was the first series I’d ever read by C.L. Schneider, but I know it won’t be my last. If you love fantasy, great characters, and a whole lot of action, then you really need to check out this series. I’m honestly sad this is the third and last book in the series.

Magic-Scars the second great installment in The Crown of Stones series. Beginning a few years after the first book ends and picking up after all Ian had been through in book one, having everything taken from him, I just couldn’t tear myself away from this book. I’m certainly looking forward to book number three.

Magic-Price is not my first by C.L. Schneider and she is currently climbing higher and higher on my list of favorite authors to read. When Magic-Price first starts it plunges you straight into the action, directly into the middle of an immense battle in which the main character makes a decision, and makes some choices to utilize his magic while turning the tides of the battle with dire consequences. Ian Troy is a man of Shinree descent that is specially bred as the ideal magic weilder but is taken advantage of repeatedly, I did feel bad for him. The magic system was easy to understand, the world building was done well, and I think this book would please many high fantasy lovers immensely. As someone else mentioned it reminds me a little bit of The Witcher but is definitely a book that stands out on its own. I really enjoyed it.

Incredible, satisfying ending to a great series that I am very glad I picked up. C.L. Schneider has become a top author for me and I love that she is an independent author. She never fails to pull me into a book, sink her claws in, and have me on a wild, crazy ride to the finish. I’ve really enjoyed this series and I will absolutely keep reading more books by her. If you enjoy fantasy, smooth writing, great world building, great, strong, well fleshed out characters, and well built magic systems you should definitely give this series a try!

The Crown of Stones: Magic- Scars is the second book in the dark fantasy series by C.L. Schneider. I suggest you read this series in order as there is a lot of information, developments, and backstory in each book.
Much like the first book, this second installment is also written from the first person point of view, allowing us to see what all Ian Troy, our main character, experiences as he tries to piece together his memories and acclimate to the new world he finds himself in after leaving capture. In book one he distanced himself from everyone, fearing his magic, but now he must retrieve it and harness it to help the resistance and beat his enemy. Can he overcome his fears, addictive tendencies, and stop blaming himself long enough to accomplish all he needs to? This action-packed book is definitely one that will keep your attention and keep you wanting more. I’m really enjoying this series and can’t wait to read the next installment.
